Credit Limits in Divisions

Hi All,
I have a scenario wherein I have Customer "X" existing in 3 divisions D1, D2, D3. How do I give different Credit limits for X in D1 Rs.100k, in D2 Rs. 50K and in D3 Rs. 75K.
I do not want to create 3 seperate master data for X.
Pls. suggest.
Vinod

Hi
If all the divisions belong to same company code then it is not possible
If it is of different company codes then the option suggested bt Mr.Sivanand MIGHT work
See credit limit for a customer is defined for credit control area in FD32
In turn a company code will be assigned to only one credit control area
Credit limit for a customer applies for the products purchased by him in all divisions
Moreover in real time FI people have the bigger say in these Credit issues
Check with them
Hope it clarifies

  • Can we maintain division specific credit limits?

    Hi All,
we have one company code & one Cr.Control area.
but we have 2 sales areas.
    eg: 1000/10/AA &
    1000/10/BB.
My client wants to maintain division specific credit limits like
    div:AA- $4000
    & BB- $6000.
Total Credit control area limit -$10000.
in FD32- we can maintain customer/cr.control area specific limits only.
Can we maintain division specific?if yes, where can we enter 2 different limits to same customer.
    plzz reply asap.

Sol'n:  for all those who would like to know, what we have adopted is,
We create Sales area wise Credit control areas & assigned to respective sales area in IMG as well as in CMR.
we have assigned multiple credit control areas to a single comp code
( IMG - FI - AR/AP- Credit Management - Credit Control account - Assign Permitted Cr.control areas for Comp code)
    then,
    In FD32-
Maintained Customer credit sheet as desired such as
    Cr.Control -1 = $4000
    Cr.Control - 2 = $6000
But the thing is we have to manually monitor these limits at the time of FD32 creation ( what is max credit limit we are offering, how much is allocated for particular Cr.Control area which means division)
    Hope it helps in understanding.

  • Bank Guarantee and Cash Credit Limits in SAP

    Dear SAP Gurus,
How  Bank Guarantee or Cash credit limits are maintained in SAP? How to do configuiration of it?
    Thanxs
    Regards,
    Divyesh.

    Hi,
Credit limits are set for the Customers depending on the nature of business, their repayment pattern.
This comes under Credit Management which you configure through Credit Control Area and set
credit limits to monitor the customer credit worthiness and ageing analysis.  Regarding Bank Guarantee and letter of credits, they are normally for export customers which comes under Risk and Credit Management in Sales & Distribution Basic data.  You refer to SAP pdf searching through Google for SAP's SDBFCM pdf file which gives you total scenario regarding setting of credit limits and Bank Guarantee etc.

  • Multiple Credit Limits

    Background
I am implementing SAP SD where there are two main separate business in one company.  One customer can buy products from both business. Credit limits are defined separate for the same customer as the sales team of both business are different.
    Question
    a) I am trying to persuade to the client that we should define centralized one credit limit for the common customers who deal with both business. Hence one credit control area will be defined in SAP. Can you please let me know the advantages of single credit limit for one customer?
The only problem business will face is that for example: Customer A was assigned credit limit 1000 Rupees. Business A and Business B gets problem that what % of credit limit they should offer to customer for each business.
    b) To fulfil the business requirement of defining separate credit limit for one/common customers for both businesses, i will go for the option of defining separate credit control area and can define separate credit limits. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this option?
    c) How to configure multiple credit limits for one customer ?

How many company codes you are defining?
You can follow de cenrolized Credit Management.
Please follow the below link, it will explain you the config steps you required.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Customer listing with address data and credit limits

    Hello all,
I need a report I can download to Excel detailing address data and credit limits by customer.
    Many thanks.

    Hi
You can not get the report with address details from standard reports. You have to download the address from table level to excel and you can do what ever you want. If you want a special report what you want you have to contact your programmer (ABAP).

  • Inactive customers and credit limits

    Hi
Is there a way to have a list of inactive customers since a particular date and review their credit limits. would like to change all credit limits for inactive customers to 0 and have them on ship block
    Cheers

    Hi Eric,
1.) Go to transaction MC+E (Customer Analysis).
2.) Enter criteria to selection screen. If sales is zero, that particular customer is inactive for the given period.
3.) To review their credit limit, go to transaction SE16N, enter table name KNKK (Customer master credit management)
    Best regards,

  • Credit limits for the same Customer for different countries.

    Hi SAP Gurus,
A customer belongs to 2 different countries, the credit limits are maintained  in FD32 for one country.
But basing on the "country" the credit limits should change for the same customer.
So how we need to handle FD32 in this scenario. Is there any option to maintain credit limits basing on the "Country"?
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi ,
sales area wise , you can differentiate the credit limit . In this case , you can have one more credit control area and assign it to new sales area. it the same customer comes under diff country , extend the customer  to the new sales area . By doing so, you can have 2 credit limits for the same customer.

  • Are there any magic numbers in credit limits?

Wondering if different credit limits for an individual account, or overall total limit, has any impact on underwriting or on score.
Back when I had under six months of credit history, before I could get a FICO, the FAKO from Amex used to tell me one thing helping my score was "you have built a strong relationship with lenders" which I took to mean I had some high limit cards (I was able to get two based on my Canadian credit, at that time $8000 on an Amex and $11000 on my RBC visa).
Since then I have always wondered whether there are magic numbers in credit limits from a scoring or underwriting perspective.
I hear "high limit" described differently but a common number I hear is a limit over $5000. I hear that over $25000 on an Amex and you may be asked to verify income.
And are there any overall magic numbers? Do you wind up in a different bucket if your overall limit is $50k or $100k?
I know it impacts utilization but is there any other impact? What about fit human underwriting, any common practices there?
    Thoughts?

Thoughts?I am not aware of any "magic numbers" for score based solely on credit limit $$$. They scores focus on % of credit utilized. On a side note, some posters have said that high limit cards (either over $35k or $50k) are excluded from card specific utilization calculations. See below table for getting a CL on a new card.

  • How to maintain two credit limits for the same customer.

We have two lines of business for the same company code. One customer is trading in two lines of business.
We want to maintain two credit limits for same customer. How is this possible.

    Hi,
Credit Limits are assigned to customer master in a credit control area, so a customer can have different credit limits for the different credit control areas.
(Please note that Credit Control Areas are normally assigned to company codes or sales area.)
But if you are having only one credit control area, then only one credit limit can apply.
However you can use the user exits to put any check you want for the customer. There are various user exits available for it like LVKMPTZZ,LVKMPFZ1,LVKMPFZ2 and LVKMPFZ3 in transaction SMOD

  • Maximum permitted credit limits in FD32

    Hi Guru's,
What is the use of Total Amount field in Maximum permitted credit limits tab in FD32.
I have searched in SDN as everybody is telling the same thing..
Total Amount: 10,000 INR (Overall Credit Limit in all credit control areas)
    Individual Limit: 4,000 INR
All credit control area means ??
Pls guide me with good example..
    Thanks
    Azeez.Mohd

    Dear Azeez,
You use each Customer Code in particular Sales Area & Company Code.
Now as these two are independent Organizational Elements the credit limits are controlled by Credit Control Area.
Thus each Company Code is assigned to Credit Control Area & also each Sales Area is assigned to Credit Control Areas.
Now it may happen that a single Customer buys from different Company Codes or different Sales Areas. Thus according to accounting principles we cannot let same Customer who has huge outsanding debit in one Company code or Sales area, freely buy from other Company code or Sales Area.
Thus it may happen that one Customer belongs to multiple Credit Control Areas. so you have the option in FD32 tio set Credit Limitt for single Credit Control Area & multiple Credit Control Areas.
E.g. Customer Code 1005 (who belongs to 3 CCA) has total Credit Limit of Rs. 1,00,000 but maximum Rs. 35000 in each CCA. Thus if this Customer hits an outstanding of Rs. 35000 in any CCA his Credit A/c would be blocked for all CCA...
    Hope this is clear...
    Thanks,
    Jignesh Mehta

  • FSCM-CR - Credit limits migration

    Hi,
Is it possible to transfer credit limits in a standard way from FI-AR to FSCM-CR, for the initial load, or is it necessary to implement a regular conversion process (e.g. via LSMW)?
    Thanks and regards,
    Gonçalo

    Hi,
We did the initial load using a conversion. As per our consultant, there was no standard SAP program to migrate credit limits into FSCM-CR.
    Kind Regards.

  • Client wants to block the order if customer's credit Limits exceeds.

    Dear All,
Client wants to block the order if customer's credit Limits exceeds. But Sales order no. is to be generated.Later on that blocked order is to be released by Authority.
I did all the configurations. Order is blocked if the customer credits exceeds, but order no is not get generated. Without order no, Authority can not release.
Kindly guide me where i have gone wrong.
    Awaiting for your quick reply
    Regards,
    umapathy

    HI,
Please do not put a credit block in the Credit Management settings. Instead check in the CMR and the VOV8 sales order setting. Also if possible maintain an incompletion procedure wherein SO number would created but the document would be blocked for delivery creation.
Usually the SO would be released using v.23 by the proper authority, that should work fine and would not hamper SO creation process.
    Thanks
