Credit memo-PR00 should be editable.

Hi,
We have two sales cycles, one for domestic and another for export.
User wants the value of basic price condition (PR00) to be editable in credit memo.
This is working fine in domestic credit memo. But in credit memo for export the value field is grayed out.
I have checked copy control (VTAF) for both credit memos the values are same (the pricing type at item level is u201CDu201D).
Please guide me what may be the problem and also solution for that.
Thanx in advance.
Anup

Hi,
Thanx for your quick replies.
Ramesh: The value field is not checked, but amount/percent field is checked. so it should allow to change the amount.
Akasha: In pricing procedure manual entry is not checked but in V/06, the input is "C"-manual entry has priority (pricing procedure is same for both sales order and credit memo so I cant do that).
More ever the condition is same for both domestic and export credit memo requests. And it is working fine in domestic scenario.
Please suggest if any other problem.
Thanx & regards,
Anup

I have a requirement in the following Qery. Is it possible to show the Quantity in  -ve in a separate column when the T0.[CEECFlag] = Y (It means that i need to show the A/R Credit Memo Qty as -ve ). The query is
    SELECT T1.[ItemCode], T1.[Dscription], T0.[DocNum], T0.[DocDate], T0.[CardName], T2.[City], T2.[CardFName], T1.[Quantity], T1.[Price], T0.[DocTotal], (T0.DocTotal-T0.[PaidToDate]) as 'BalanceDue', T0.[CEECFlag]  FROM [dbo].[OINV]  T0 INNER JOIN INV1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry INNER JOIN OCRD T2 ON T0.CardCode = T2.CardCode WHERE T0.[TaxDate] >=[%0] AND  T0.[TaxDate] <=[%1] AND T1.[ItemCode] Like '5%'
Please help me to get this Output.

    Dear Gordon,
That is not a UDF. The fileld T0.[CEECFlag] is there in OINV which indicates that it is a credit memo. Is it possible to display the Qty value in -ve when T0.[CEECFlag] = ' Y' in another column.
Otherwise is it possibel to  show the Invoice Qty in a separate column when the  T0.[CEECFlag] = ' Y' .
    Thanks

  • Freight should not get reversed during credit memo

    Hi Experts,
I Have a purchase order with planned delivery costs for e.g. say freight of some value and Goods receipt is posted and invoice is posted with freight. But our customer needs that when they perform the credit memo freight should not be reversed. How to perform this
    Regards
    Badri

    HI Badri
can create credit memo without freight cost
    1) in MIRO choose Cedit memo
    2) in indicator choose only  goods/service items
(if want to rasise credit memo for both material cost and freight need to choose goods/service items + planned delivery cost)
    3) then both material cost and freight cost will display, here need to deselect freight cost.
    4) now post. credit memo would have posted for only material cost.

  • Find debit and credit memos created without reference

    Hi Experts
Could you please tell the easy way to find out credit memos and debit memos created without reference to oringinal order.
    Regards,
    Santosh

    hello, friend.
try a query using table VBFA.  specify the document category in both preceding (sales invoice) and subsequent documents (debit/credit memos).
    this should help you.
    regards.
    p.s.
in this particular case, in VBFA only credit/debit memos with reference to invoices will be displayed.  this can be compared to VA05.

  • Deleting/Voiding an A/P Credit Memo

I accidently entered in an A/P Credit Memo which should not be in the system. I cannot figure out a way to get it out. Can someone please let me know if there is a solution to this problem?

    Hi Andrew,
it is not possibile to cancel a credit memo, the cancellation document is an invoice.
Hence the cleanest way of reversing this incorrect AP credit memo is to create a corresponding AP invoice using the same items, quantities, prices & dates as in the CM. This will reverse the stock transactions & also balance the BP account balance.
Once you have created the invoice, you need to manually reconcile the 2 transactions.
Once they're reconciled, you can exclude them from the vendor statement by clicking on 'Display unreconciled transaction only' in the ageing report.
If there was no stock transaction in the CM, then technically you could also use a manual journal entry, pull up the JE created by the credit memo & then create a manual JE with the opposite data. You still need to reconcile manually, though.
    All the best,

  • Credit Memo Process Issue

    Hi,
    1) SAP allows credit memo to be created with reference to credit memo request and with reference to an invoice. In what what scenarios we should give option of creating credit memo with reference to invoice and in what scenario we should give option of creating credit memo with reference to credit memo request?
    2)  Whlie creating a credit memo request with reference to an invoice is there a way to restrict that the value or quantity of credit memo request should not exceed the value and quanity of referenced invoice
    3) Whlie creating a credit memo directly with reference to an invoice is there a way to restrict that the value or quantity of credit memo should not exceed the value and quanity of referenced invoice.

    Hi,
    1) SAP allows credit memo to be created with reference to credit memo request and with reference to an invoice. In what what scenarios we should give option of creating credit memo with reference to invoice and in what scenario we should give option of creating credit memo with reference to credit memo request?
    >>> You raised invoice to customer say value is $ 100, Now due to some resons (Returns, price change etc) you want to give credit (u want to charge $ 90 insted of $100), Then you can create credit memo with refrance to invoice,
Now again u want to change this credit memo, then credit memo to credit memo refrance can be used
    2) Whlie creating a credit memo request with reference to an invoice is there a way to restrict that the value or quantity of credit memo request should not exceed the value and quanity of referenced invoice
    3) Whlie creating a credit memo directly with reference to an invoice is there a way to restrict that the value or quantity of credit memo should not exceed the value and quanity of referenced invoice.

  • Return Delivery with a Credit  Memo Request.

Hello Gurus. I have been working on this issue for quite some time. I will explain the process that was provided by our installers. It doesn't seem to be adding up. Here is the situation, Product that was sent incorrectly was returned. According to our procedures, we create a returns delivery thru VA01, with RE (returns) as the Order Type. We then create it with REFERENCE to the Invoice Number. We remove the items not being returned, enter the Billing Block and Order Reason. Then Save. It gives us a returns delivery number of 6000000, We then return the product back to our stock through MB1B. We clear it and put it back as normal. We then Create a Credit Memo Request through VA01, order type is CR (Credit Memo Request) Create with Reference, we again select the invoice number, delete the items not being returned, enter billing reason, then save. It gives us a number of 60000001. At this point, we enter VF01 and create a billing document. It says the order has billing blocks. We go back in and remove the blocks. We hit save. It now seems to ok, except that, under document flow, under the first delivery 6000000, it shows still being processed (the goods returns shows complete, but the line above shows being processed), and the document flow for 60000001 shows the invoice and the Accounting document as Not Cleared. My question is, should there be 2 seperate orders? A returns delivery and credit memo Request should be under the one delivery number 6000000 according to our procedures? Those were the steps given. Something seems out of place. Are my steps out of order?  Are the procedures wrong?  If anybody has any insight, I would much appreciate it.

I would start fresh with a new sales order.  When you create with reference both the return delivery and credit memo are created with reference to the return sales order.  Here is an example document flow to clarify:
Document                                      Date               Qty/value   UoM/Cur   Overall proc. status
                                                                                    Return 60000077 / 10                          08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    . Returns Delivery 500000016 / 10             08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    .. GD returns QI 4900030060 / 1               08/25/05               10.000  EA      complete
    .. Credit for Returns1 10000017 / 10          08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    ... Accounting document 10000017              08/25/05               10.000  EA      Cleared

  • LIS Credit Memo

In MCSI we have our own customized info structure S991.In the present system, Credit Memo values are getting updated in Gross Credit Memo column. Our client wants the Credit Memo value to be updated in Gross Inv sales Column. In Gross invoice column we will find all invoice value including debit memo value.
In the same way we need to map the credit memo values in Gross Inv sales column instead of Gross Credit Memo field.
The purpose of the above requirement is to find the sum off total invoice Value in one column. Presently all invoice values and debit memo values it getting captured in Sales Invoice sales Column, in the same way credit memo value should also be captured on the same.
Please through some light if any one come across

    Hi,
You need to create you SIS Formula with an abaper:
Logistics - General -> Logistics Information System (LIS) -> Logistcs Data Warehouse -> Updating -> Updating Definition -> Specific Definition Using Update Rules -> Maintain Formulas.
Then, you need to associate it to your info structure:
Logistics - General -> Logistics Information System (LIS) -> Logistcs Data Warehouse -> Updating -> Updating Definition -> Specific Definition Using Update Rules -> Maintain Update Rules.

  • Ref2 on JE not populated for Credit Memos not based on another document

    Version: (2007A)
Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
When the Setting in System Initialization\Document Settings \General tab\
Document Remarks Include is set to BP Reference Number, the Ref2 field on the Journal Entry for the document is populated with the BP Reference from the document. This is true for all documents, regardless of whether or not the document is based on another document, EXCEPT for AR and AP Credit Memos. In the case of Credit Memos, if the Credit Memo isnu2019t based on another document, the BP Reference isnu2019t written to the Ref2 field on itu2019s Journal Entry.  Our customers have complained that this makes it very difficult for them to do their reconciliations as the Ref2 is blank on the reconciliations screen for these Credit Memos.  If the Ref2 field were populated in the same manner as other documents, the Ref2 Field would contain the same BP Reference as the invoice(s) it should be reconciled with.  We have been asked to request that this functionality be added in a future patch, as it would greatly simplify the customeru2019s reconciliation and save them a great deal of time and effort.
Business needs: (Please describe the impact on your business, if the functionality is not realized)
It is very difficult to reconcile our Credit Memos with the correct documents, as there is no reference available on the screen to connect them to the other documents. This requires a great deal of time researching which Credit Memo(s) should be reconciled with which Invoice(s).
Examples: (Please describe a typical example, how the functionality should work.)
When a Credit Memo (Purchase or Sales) not based on another document is created, the Ref2 field on the Journal Entry should be updated with BP Reference entered by the user on the Credit Memo.
Current Workaround: (Please describe the workarounds you are using at the moment)
None. Hours wasted trying to reconcile correctly.
Proposed solution: (Please suggest how the new functionality should work)
When a Credit Memo (Purchase or Sales) not based on another document is created, the Ref2 field on the Journal Entry should be updated with BP Reference entered by the user on the Credit Memo.

  • Tracking AR credit memo to AP invoices..

    Hi Guys,
can anyone help me in getting invoices generated in AP against credit memo applied in AR.
    Thanks In Advance
    Reju

    Hi Dany,
it is a system definition that you may only use 1 base document for a credit memo.
Should you require the credit memo to be applied to multiple invoices, you may create a stand-alone credit memo & then manually reconcile it with the appropriate invoices.
If doing that, please take the stock transaction into consideration, you might have to revaluate your stock.
    All the best,

  • Credit Memo posted against Service PO

    Hello Experts,
Our client wants Credit memo posted against Service Order PO's should credit the Service Entry sheet. This credit memo should reflect in PO history as well. Is there any such configuration? or how to meet this requiement...
    Please suggest.

    Hi Sridhar,
    Its a business requirement.
Suppose we have posted SES of total value 1000 USD. The same will be reflected in the actual value in Limit section of PO.
So when, after IR, we post credit memo it should reflect in the actual value. Say after posting credit memo of 200 USD, the actual value becomes 800 USD.
Came to know from somewhere that the problem is in configuration but not able to find out the same.
    Can you please help.

  • US rebate credit memo without tax

    Hi experts,
I have a issue for US rebate settlement. Almost all US states do not allow tax credit, so in our rebate credit memoes, we should not pay tax to the cusomter. Currently, our user remove the tax classification indicator in credit memo request every time to make sure there will be no tax in credit memo. Now user have a request to make default to no tax for all US rebate settlement.
Actually, tax classifiction indicator is the standard SAP solution to control the tax, but our user do not want to do it manually every time. We can remove all tax condition types in our rebate pricing procedure and then there will be no tax at all. However, there is a risk that 1 or 2 states allow tax credit.
Does any one have same experience? Is any other better way to satisfy this requirement?
    Thanks in advance,
    DL

Apart from the suggestions already given, you can also consider the following.
    1)  Create a new tax code in FTXP where you dont maintain tax percent against the tax condition type.
    2)  For tax condition type UTXJ / MWST, have one more combination in V/07 with the document type for debit memo and credit memo
    3)  Assign the above tax code to this new combination in VK11
    4)  Now create a debit memo or credit memo and see how it works.
    thanks
