Credit Memo via MIRO applying cash discounts.

All,
We have shared services applying credit memo's in A/P against a vendor/purchase order via MIRO.  If the personnel does not select that the payment terms be net 0, due immediately, then the vendor/po default is used which will ultimately apply the first discount term (in this case 1%) regardless of the baseline date.  We should not be applying discounts to credit memos.
Any suggestions on dealing with this scenario?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Patrick

Hi all,
I have exactly the same problem. Can anyone help ?

  • AR - Credit Memo via iReceivables

I am having problems while creating a credit memo via
IReceivables. The scenario for creation is given below
    Responsibility: Receivables External
    User Name: Joe Blogg
    Customer Name: AAA Auto
    Collector Name: Jamie Johns
Approver: Navin Kapoor (Approval limits have been setup using
the limits form for the Credit Memo --> Reason --> Discount
Invoice for this customer was created in Receivables module. I
signed on to iReceivables as Joe Blogg who has External
iReceivables responsibility. I am able to do the following:
** Inquire on the Invoices for AAA Auto (Customer)
Dispute the invoice where I give the reason as discount. This
    creates a Credit Memo request
** I sign on as Jamie Johns, the collector and approve the
request for approval for the Credit Memo
With the workflow the approval is routed for second approval to
    Navin Kapoor
**I sign on as Navin Kapoor an approve the request for approval
    received from Jame Johns
**I inquire in the Accounts detail that the dispute has been
    recorded for the customer.
However, Credit Memo is not created and the Credit Memo request
still shows pending approval when I sign on as Joe Blogg.

    Hello Jerome.
As far as i know, you can always unapply a credit memo. There will be circumstances where you will not be able to do it, but that circumstances are very rare, like, for example, having all periods closed, or the open period is earlier than the application period.
If you want to prevent users from unapplying credit memos you will need to use Forms Personalization to achieve that.

  • Credit memo using MIRO

    Hi
My organization is doing credit memo using MIRO for both stock and non stock materials. But P&L G/L account is not getting credited with this entry.
<b>Following are the flow of entries as per my knowledge-------</b>
    <b>1.When we receive materials(MIGO)</b>
<b>Debit</b> -Stock(in case of stock materials) OR consumption account in case of non stock material
    <b>Credit-</b>  GR/IR Account
    <b>2.When inv verification done(MIRO)</b>
    <b>Debit</b> GR/IR Account
    <b>Credi</b>t Vendor
<b>3.If I want to give normal credit memo I can use FV60 or MIRO</b>.
MIRO is used in case of quantity reduction .
If I used MIRO following is the entry happening.
    <b>Debit</b>-Vendor
    <b>Credit</b>-GR/IR Account
During the third step G/L consumption account or stock account is not getting credited. This is resulting with unnecessary credit in GR/IR account and G/L account is not getting reversed.
Can any one please advise whether this is the right procedure? If so why G/L account is not getting reversed?
    OR
Do we need to post additional entry again debiting GR/IR account and crediting Stock or consumption account????
    Please advise ASAP.
    thanks
    Henfi<b></b>

    Hi,
During credit memo, the G/L or consumption accont will not credited.
The concerned material doc has to be reversed through migo also in MM.
    the steps is as under.
    1.  MIRO - Credit Memo
    Entries
    Dr. Vendor
    Cr. GR/IR Clearing account
    2.  MIGO - Select return delivery.
    Entries
    Dr. GR/IR Clearing account
    Cr. Inventory / consumption account.
The GR/IR account gets nullified and the inventory or consumption account will get reduced.

  • Vendor Invoice - Outgoing Payment -How to apply cash discount automatically

    Hi Folks,
My Vendor is 400000 - whose payment terms is : 0002
    I posted a vendor invoice using FB60 :
where i checked the payment terms is 0002 3% Cash Discount within 14 days
2% Cash discount within 30 days
                                                                          Net within 45 dats
Default for Baseline date : Posting Date.
My Document Date and Posting date are both same: Invoice Document and posting date : 07/31/2008
I tried to make a payment using F-53, where the Cash Discount is not applying automatically. It is asking me to manually enter the cah discount @ 3%.
What should i do to make cash discount apply automatically.
Thanks and Help will be surely rewarded.
    Matthew

Hello I just checked in my system it is automatically picking even if I am not taking the discount....check the payment terms....
ex : I have invoice for 500 with payment terms 1% discount
When I pay 500 in F-53 the system is showing me the net amount 495.
When I pay 495 the system is also showing me the net amount of 495
You might want to have a look at the payment terms.......
Make sure when you enter the amount in F-53 and press "Process Open Items", you have the discount percent populated automatically in the CashD% field.
    Thanks

  • Other document type for credit memos in MIRO

    Dear,
i would like to use a seperate document type for credit memos posted with MIR0 compared to RE for invoices. I created a new Z transaction. And now I thought that I could enter this new transaction code in OMR4 (tablle V_169F), but I can not add a new customised transaction in this list. What can I do?
Or is there an other way to have another document type for credit memos?
    Thank you.
    Leen

    Hi
You can create a new document type for credit memo through t code OBA7. Once the T code is created with all necessary parameters you can assign this to MIRO transaction.
You cannot create a customised transaction through OMR4. This is meant for assigning the Doc type to Invoice verification

  • Credit Memo via EDI

I'm looking to start having my vendors send their credit memos for PO Invoices
via EDI.  They are currently using message type INVOIC to send in their invoices.  Can
the same message type be used or is there another.  Any help will be appriciated.
    Thanks,

Have a look at this link for the IDoc segments you need to populate: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/44/f50abfea3b11d194dc0000e83dd751/content.htm
Note that the field E1EDK01-BSART is different for credit memo compared to an invoice, i.e CRME rather than INVO.
Then you can use WE19 to try it out on your system.

  • Close A/R Credit Memo via DI

    Hello!
Is it possible to close a 'A/R Credit Memo' with or without a relation to a 'A/R Invoice' via DI.
    /Thomas

SBO does not allow the closing of A/R Credit Memo (using the SBO client). Thus the DI API will not allow this document to be closed either.

  • Block Customer Credit Memo via Quality Management

    Hi
We are using QM in sale for customer return SO. We activated inspection type 9902 customer return with Movement type 655.
We create return sale order and against return SO does the GRN at that time  inspection lot generates for Inspection type 9902.material goes to quality stock.
After this quality department check whether this material is accepted or Rejected and provide usage decision. In case of rejected we provide Credit Invoice to customer against Return SO.
Now we want validate or control on Credit Invoice will be issue only In case of Usage decision is rejected (Material is block).
Similarly we use Invoice block functionality for Vendor through control key.
    Regards
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
I think you can try Follow-up action linked to UD = "R" in QS51, where you can assign a FM/BAPI to create Credit Invoice. You can use the appropriate FM form the below list -
    BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATE
    BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
    SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE
    BAPI_SALESDOCU_CREATEFROMDATA
You may need to work with FI team to test the Follow-up action in Sandbox/Dev system, once you implement it.
    Thanks,

  • Credit Memo Terms

    Hi,
The payment terms maintained in vendor master is K102.
    2% disc. 10 days
    0    dics   30 days
We raised vendor invoice via MIRO and it populate K102 as terms.   Later on we raised Credit Memo via MIRO also [baseline is 02.09.2008]...the terms populated is still K102.
When we cleared the CM,  the clearing date is 07.10.2008...we noticed that the CM still deducts 2% discount eventhough it is morethan 10 days from the baseline date of CM vs clearing date.
Why is it so?  Does the CM will auto deduct 2% and no validation on the days?  Is it true that this is logical to deduct 2% because during AP invoice is you deduc

    Hi,
But there's no way to maintain CREDIT MEMO terms in vendor via purchasing MKO3/MK02.
You can only maintain credit memo terms in FI via FK02.

  • MIRO subsequent Credit Memo

    Hello Everyone,
When I am posting a subsequent credit memo through MIRO for a Purchase Order with account  assignment category Asset,
I am getting the following error message
"Balance for transaction type group 10 negative for the area 01
    Diagnosis
With the transaction entered, the balance for the transactions in group 10 in area 01 will be negative in this fiscal year. However, the balance of transaction type group 10, according to its definition, must be positive in each fiscal year.
    System Response
    The system rejects this posting.
    Procedure
Check the transaction type, the amount and the fiscal year in your posting. If you want to post a credit memo to an acquisition from the previous year, then use a transaction type for a retirement. If necessary, you can change balance rules after talking with your SAP consultant".
Can you please let me how to change the Transaction type in MIRO or how to go abt this issue.
    Thanks in Advance
    Vaman A

    Hi,
    Good evening and greetings,
The solution for your problem is as below
For this posting change the +/- sign allowed for the transaction type group to '*'.
First you must activate the maintenance of the table in the ABAP dictionary for table TABWG (transaction SE11).
You should then call transaction SE16. Enter table TABWG and select the affected transaction type group. Set the value '*' in field VZJSA.
Once you have made the posting, you should decide whether you want to set the /- sign check again (VZJSA = ''), or whether a negative balance should continue to be allowed for this transaction type group.
Alternatively, you can also change the proposed transaction type for the invoice receipt of affiliated companies. To do this, go to IMG Asset Accounting -> Transactions -> Determine transaction type for internal transactions.
Instead of transaction type 152, enter transaction type 151 there under 'Acquisition from invoice receipt (affiliated)'.
Check whether transaction type 151 in your system corresponds to the transaction type 151 described in note 327088.
This is as per SAP OSS Note 139899 - AA629 when posting MR01/MRHR/MIRO invoice receipt
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards
