CRM 5.0 - IC WebClient - Subject Profile

Hi Gurus
(I've posted this on CRM - Web Application but not having any joy)
Having major issues with this so could someone please guide me.
We have 3 Transactions
1. Service Ticket (Service Process)
Business Transaction Category
Service Process - With Subject Profile
Business Activity - With Subject Profile
(Transactions are used for Service Ticket & Interaction Record)
2. Business Activity (Business Activity)
Business Transaction Category
Business Activity - No Subject Profile
(Transactions are used for Follow Up)
3. Task (Task)
Business Transaction Category
Task - No Subject Profile
(Transactions are used for Follow Up)
As far as I know if I want to setup "Reason" value for the Follow Up Details screen I have to assign the values to a Subject Profile which is then linked to my Follow up Transactions.
My problem is everytime I link a Subject Profile to the Transaction, when I get to the Follow Up details BSP I get a Warning "Codes for Subject Profile "G" are not permitted in this trans"
This is appearently because my main Transaction is a Service Transaction while the Follow Ups are Activities.
There's no copying control involved in any of this.
Does anyone have a clue on how I can resolve this.
Max points for the defining answer.
Regards
Panduranga

Is aanyone able to help with this?
Thanks

  • CRM 5.0 - IC WebClient - Email Profile - (E-Mail Provider)

    Hi Gurus
I'm getting an odd Internet Explorer error message when I launch the IC Webclient:
    Line:     52
    Char:     13
Error:     ‘undefined’ is null or not an object
    Code:     0
The error occurs just after the Identify Account view displays.
I've narrowed this down to a parameter in the Email Profile:
The parameter is the E-Mail Provider:
When the value is set as ICI I don't get the message
When set to Agent Inbox the message appears.
I've checked the Inbox Profile and everything appears to be set-up correctly, in particular the Main Category "INT".
Any ideas what could be happening with this.
Maximum points for the right guidance.
    Many Thanks in Advance

  • CRM 5.0 - IC WebClient - Warning on Follow Up Transaction

    Hi Gurus
I would have thought I could fex this by myself but hitting a dead end.
We're using Business Activity & Task transactions for follow ups. I keep getting this warning when I try yo create a Follow up:
"Codes for subject profile category "G" are not permitted in this trans."
There are no furhter details available on this warning, and I cannot locate a hit on SDN for it.
I would have thought it would be something to do with my Catalog selection but I'm not finding anything wrong in my setup.
Max points for the right guidance.
    Many Thanks

    Hi Rekha
I think you are pointing me in the right direction, just a point before I continue
When I view the available Catalogs, all except Catalog G1 "Cancellation Reasons" have a Keyword, as the Keyword for G1 is blank could this be causing an issue. This was how it was supplied from SAP.
    We are using 3 Transactions
Z000 Business Activity - Transaction Category = Business Activity
                                                                           With Subject Profile Category -
                                                                           Activity Reason
Z003 Service Ticket - Transaction Category = Service Process
                                                                      With Subject Profile Category -
                                                                      Service
& Transaction Category = Business Activity
                                                                      With Subject Profile Category -
                                                                      Activity Reason
    Z004 Task - Transaction Category = Task
                                                         With Subject Profile Category -
                                                         Activity Reason
Do you see an issue with this config.
    Generally we Open Up Webclient
                        Confirm Account
                        Create Service Ticket
                        Goto Interaction Record - Followup
Select either Business Activity or Task as Follow Up
Then select Follow Up Details to complete the Follow Up
This is when the error occurs

  • Custom Transaction Types, Subject Profiles etc...

    Hi all,
Did anyone worked on custom Transaction Type on SDCR?
I know that this is CRM specific stuff to configure, but want to check what are the implications in modifying exisiting SDCR..  Well, in the meanwhile, we need to work on custom Code Groups, Subject Profiles etc..
What is the impact on upgrades if we modify the SAP defined Transaction Types SDCR?
Please correct me if I am wrong in my approach.
    Response is greately appreciated.
    Regards,
    Mike.

    Thanks for response.
I tried to copy and modify the subject profiles, catalogs etc.  I could able to create Change Request with the custom transaction type, but not able to authorize the change request.  And I am using SAP defined action profile for custom transaction type.
And also little bit confused how to attach the custom change request to support message (we need to select the action item "create change document").  It seems there are lot of modifications to be done all the way from support message to urgent/normal correction.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Mike.

  • Subject Profile for InHouse Repair

    Dear Experts,
I created a in House Repair in CRM GUI with subject for Reason, Cause and Correction Measure. When I created a In House repair in SAP CRM GUI I can see my catalog, but no in WebGUI.
Which is the reason?.. I don't category, because I need 3 different field with diferent value (any relationship)...
    Regards,
    Lyda

    Dear Ankush,
    Thanks for your reply.
What ever you have said is the standard approach to assign subject profile to transaction type. I have done this step but i cant see any field to get these values(Reason Codes) in transaction (AG). In case of Lead and Opportunioty under the status itself reason field is available and getting the reason codes which i defined under my subject profile.
I havent see any reason field in Quotation in GUI, But In case of Portal reason field is available but the reason codes which i specified is not showing over there, just to give you more information about this issue, Even if you Observe the catalogs which is provided by SAP there is no std. Catalog for Quotations or there is no std subject profile for quotations. I tried to use other catalog or subject profile to quotation its not work then i created all with Z starting from catalog to subject profile and assign to Quotation but still it not works.
Any inputs from your side will be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

  • Subject Profiles

    Hi,
I have a custom transaction type for an activity e.g: Customer Transactions. I need to assign a subject profile to the above Transaction Type with following reasons:
    1) Customer Set up/ Closed in error
    2) Bill adjustments
    3) Meter adjustments
Can any one let me know in detail as to how this has to be configured using SPRO?
    eg: which catalog is suitable?
    Thank you,
    Binno Don Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
Have a look at the following customization and the documentation. Hope this will shed some idea as to how to setup the subject profile.
IMG -> CRM -> Basic Function -> Catalog, Codes and Profiles
    IMG-> CRM -> Transactions
    Catalogs, Codes and Profiles
You define the layout of catalogs here.
Catalogs are resources which help ensure the uniform use of terms. CRM uses a dual level hierarchy comprising of code groups and codes for catalogs. The terms are coded at client level in a corresponding coding. The codes themselves are composed of four characters, and are assigned to a code group composed of eight characters.
In order to organize catalogs, you must define:
The usage and description of each catalog
The corresponding key for codes and code groups
Guidelines for the layout of the short texts
Guidelines for the usage and layout of other catalog contents
    Standard Settings
The significance and usage of certain catalogs is defined in the standard system. Use catalog types P* to Z* to define your own supplementary catalogs.
    Activities
    Maintaining catalog master records
Maintain the master records of the previously defined catalogs in the sequence code group and group code (at client level). Set the status of the code groups to 'Released' after you have completed catalog maintenance.
The system assigns a usage indicator to the codes and code groups the first time they are used, and thereby prevents these objects from being deleted. Because usage indicators can no longer be reset and codes that have already been used can no longer be deleted, you should only release catalogs and code groups that have been carefully checked for use in the productive system.
The key of the code group profile contains the catalog type to make it unique.
    Important Note
There is no transport link for the following IMG activities:
    Define Code Group Profiles
    Define Subject Profiles
You can transport the following entries manually in transaction SE01:
R3TR TABU COMC_CODEPROFILE (Code group profile for the catalog)
R3TR TABU COMC_CODEPROFILG (Code groups for the code group profile)
R3TR TABU COMC_CODEPROFILT (Code group profile for the catalog)
R3TR TABU CRMC_SUBJPROFIL  (Catalog categories for subject profiles)
R3TR TABU CRMC_SUBJPROFIL2 (Catalogs for the subject profile)
    R3TR TABU CRMC_SUBJPROFILE (Subject profile)
R3TR TABU CRMC_SUBJPROFILT (Subject profile texts)
R3TR TABU QPCD             (Inspection catalog codes)
    R3TR TABU QPCT             (Code texts)
R3TR TABU QPGR             (Inspection catalog code groups)
R3TR TABU QPGT             (Code groups texts)
You can also summarize these entries in a bill of material.
    Additional Information
Catalog master records can only be maintained in the languages in which the catalogs were described.
In order to find codes quickly in extensive catalogs, you must use the corresponding key for code groups and codes. Define the structure of this key carefully.
When you perform a generic search based on a code or code group with the help of the '*' entry and by calling up the F4 help, the system displays the relevant catalog entries in a list in a screen window.
When the system displays catalog entries in the movement data, it also normally displays the description of the code, but not that of the code group. You can use the special character "&" in the code group text to ensure that the system displays a combination of the texts for the code group and code. The code text is inserted in the code group text at the point where the special character is positioned.
    Example
Description of code group:  Component & faulty
    Description of code:         Transistor
    Display:                     Transistor component faulty
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Subject Profile Items are not showing in CRMD_Order

    Hi
We are in process of Service Desk config. We have copied the standard Subject Profile from SLFN001 to ZLFN001 and copied Code Group I1 to Z1 , Copied Codes MLDDGM1 to ZLDDGM1 and added our own subjects as per the requirement. When we create the ticket the Subject is empty.
Is there any thing else that needs to configure?
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
You might have missed a layer in this many-layered assignment   Here is the hierarchy (for example):
Code group ZMLDDGM1 contains your codes
...Code group profile ZLFN0001 contains your codegroup
......Subject profile ZLFN0001 contains your code group profile
Then you assign subject profile ZLFN0001 to your transaction ZLFN under IMG "Define Transaction Types"
--> Assignment of business transaction categories
                      --> service process
                          --> customizing header
    Good luck!

  • CRM 4.0 IC webclient to CRM 2007

    Hi
Currently we are on CRM 4.0 using IC Webclient for our call centre. Around 30% of development done in BOL layer programming to suit the business requirements.
Now we are planning to upgrade to CRM 7.0 with IC Webclient
Can anybody help us in providing information and precautionary measures to be considered for upgrade.
    Regards
    Satish Kumar

    Hi,
just wanted to stress that even than BOL/ genIL is still compatible it has been significantly increased especially around the advanced and saved searches and some more new features like a generic "text-for-key" support service to facilitate UI development.
The biggest change however that you might experience in the BOL layer is, however, the complete BOL support of all CRM objects including all sub objects, relations and attributes. So the enhancements that you have done in your 4.0 project might not even be necessary anymore unless you've introduced completely new objects. Also fields you added via EEW will be available in the respective BOL objects without manual code effort.
On the UI layer itself you have to be aware that even though the whole CRM 2007 UI is based on the same UI framework as CRM 4.0 IC WebClient, this framweork has been significantly enhanced and supports now also concepts as components (to organize, structure and manage different areas of the CRM application), reuse via components and windows etc. Also there are two new sets of tags: THTMLB (Low level UI controls such as input fields, tables and trees) and CHTMLB. The latter one contains eta tags for configuable views that allow the adjustment of views via the configuration tool, which allows defining fields and arrangement on a form or a table as well as re-labelling.
Also the toolset in general has been heavily enhanced and there's also the concept of modification-free enhancements on the UI layer based on inheritance.
The upgrade will be "technical" meaning that all your stuff will survive but due to the componentization of the UI framework will not run out of the box in the new environment. You will have to "re-do" investments you've done on the UI side - however this should be much easier compared to 4.0 due to configurability of the UI and the improved toolset.
I hope this information helps to get an idea what you can expect.

  • Subject Profiles in ICSS

    Hi
Where do we see subject profile values in ICSS Complaint screen.
Can we display multiple subject profiles in ICSS Complaint transaction.
    regards
    raja gopal

    Hi,
for leads this catalogs and codes are optional.
It is used to catagorize the leads according to the customers needs.
code descriptions are freetext - so everything is possible.
The categorization can be dependend (level 2 is different depending on level 1).

  • Subject Profile & MultiLevel Categorization

    Hi All,
Can Anyone throw some light on these topics,
    1. Subject Profile
    2. Mulitilevel Categorization
    3. Categorization Schema
    4. How they are related & used in Service Ticket Scenario
Any Help/Hint will be highly Appreciated
    Thanks, Sudeep..

    Hi Sudeep,
For Categorization we need to create Catalogs, Codes and Profiles and assign to subject Profile in SAP GUI.Then assign this Subject profile to Transaction.
In Multilevel Categorization we Define Application Areas for Categorization ( i.e COMPLAINT ) and the Subject Profile is assigned here to the Application Area thru Parameter.
Categorization Schema helps you create and define different categories and sub-categories via Category Hierarchy
So this way the selection options of one field is depdent on the selection option of the previous field.
Let me try to explain you with an example could be a silly one.
Suppose you have a 2 fields *** and Names. In the field *** you have option Male and Female as drop down. IF you select male then the names field should show only male names where as if you select Female then in the Name field you should have options to select only female names.

  • Subject Profile Category does not exist

    Hi,
    System: CRM2007
I have created a new subject profile Z* and assigned it to Subject Profile Category Y. When going to the next level (code group profile for Subject Profile), I get the ff. message:
"Subject profile category Y does not exist (system error)
    Message no. CRM_SUBJECT_PROFILE001"
    Why does it not work?
    Thanks

    Hi,
For which scenario are you using the subject profile??
If you are using it for service then please maintain the Subject Profile Category as "A-Service" while defining the subject profile.

  • Subject profile : Subjects, Reasons, categorization schema

    Dear Experts,
For a service ticket I need to create subjects, reasons as well as categorization schema.
For the subjects, I have created the subject profile and have assigned it to the Service BT category
For the reasons, I have created the subject profile and have assigned it to the Business Activity BT category.
Since there is already a subject profile assigned to transaction for service; how would I assign the subject profile for the categorization schema?
    Thanks & REgards,
    Kanthimathi

    Hi Kanthimathi,
You can assign the both subject profiles to the different business transaction categories of the same transaction type.
Assign the reason codes subject profile to Business transaction Categroy  BUS2000126 Business Activity   and
Categoriztion Schema subject profile to the business transaction category BUS2000116 Service Process .
Let me know if you have any issues.
