CSS not overriding a System Default Column heading format

Hi
I have a column heading which format has been changed. The font and the background color. The best part of it is that it has been set to System Default and nobody knows who did it or how to turn it back to the out of the box style.
I thought that by creating a new skin and setting new css styles that it would clear or override this little mishap, but no.
Can anyone help us?

It's risky, but you can try changing the file
[catalog]/root/system/metadata/_datatype_formats
I've had to do that before with success, but backup first, try in a test environment etc. etc. etc.
Regards,
Robert

  • How to not display the column header in the table view?

    I do not want to display the column header in the table view, how can I achieve it?

    If you're using JavaFX 8 you can use the following in an external style sheet:
    .table-view .column-header-background {
      -fx-pref-height : 0 ;
    If you're using JavaFX 2.2, the -fx-pref-height attribute is not available in css, so I think you have to resort to a lookup:
    final Region tableHeader = (Region)table.lookup(".column-header-background");
        tableHeader.setPrefHeight(0);
    As always, I feel obliged to point out that I don't really like lookups. Sometimes they seem to be the only way, though.

    Hi,
    It is similar to bug which is raised in Timesten 11.2.2.2.. BUG 13896607 - COLUMN NAME MISSING FROM A VIEW IN TIMESTEN 11.2.2.2 . If you have MOS access then you can view about this bug. The bug is going to be fix in the future release. The bug basically indicates that we are not displaying the column name properly when select list contains complex expressions. The column itself can be accessed and values are displayed correctly.
    Regarding your issue "column TIME_DIFFERENCE not found" , I would suggest you to access the column by position, not by name like below
    I believe you are trying to access your column like below
    resultset.getString(“TIME_DIFFERENCE”)
    Instead of this you can use : -- resultset.getString(2) ( this position should based on the position of the column you are using in the query)
    Hope this helps.

  • 11.1.1.5 - Column Heading Alignment not working

    I've created a simple one-column analysis, and I'm viewing the Table. I'd like to center the column header (currently it is left-aligned).
    In the Layout section for the Table view, I'm selecting Format Headings from the column's option icon.
    Changing the font characteristics works fine. Changing the cell background color works. However, changing the Horizontal Alignment and Vertical Alignment have no effect.
    I've also tried this on the on the Column Properties ... Column Format for the column, selecting the formatting icon next to the Column Heading field. No luck there either.
    Where is the correct place to change the alignment for column headings?

    hi
    try this....
    1. select criteria and go to column properties
    2.Select Column Format(second tab) ->Column Heading ->format ->set the center for cell horizontal and vertical.
    if you selected sort for this column, the center alignment is not working.
    Thanks

  • How to increase column header

    Hello, may i know Table or Multicolumn Listbox in Labview 2012 is available to change column header format such as below image?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I don't think you can merge cells (like Excel) with a LabVIEW MCL
    Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T

  • Problem in displaying Column Heading using JTable

    I am using JTable component in my applet. I am trying to retrieve records from a database and want to display the same in the table using JTable component. In that procees my data is shown in the table but I am not able to display the column heading.
    Please suggest.

    you could user JScrollPane to show the column's head.
    if you don't want to use JScrollPane ,you should use the getTableHeader() method and add the header into the pane

  • Is it possible to add new columns with format "Text" once a table is linked to a form

    Is it possible to add new columns with format "Text" once a table is linked to a form in Numbers for iPhone or is it impossible and thus a serious bug?(Rating stars and numeric vales seem to work.)
    Those bugs happen both for new speadsheets as well as existing onces, like the demo. When you are in the form only the numeric keyboard shows up.
    Pat from the Apple Store Rosenstrasse/Germany approved that it looks like a Bug during the Numbers Workshop I was in: It is not possible to add new columns with format "Text". I reported the error for Version 1.4 but there is no update nor do I get statement of understanding the issue.

    Hi Knochenhort,
    I see what you are talking about now. Without knowing how the program actually works, I think this is what's going on:
    When you add a new column to an already existing table (with already existing formats), the new cells come already formatted like the previous column. So when you add a column to the end of the demo table, the cells are already formatted like stars, and when you add a column to the beginning, they're already formatted like number.
    I think this is why it's different when if you add columns to a table with blank (unformatted) columns. In that case, the new cells aren't already "tainted" with a set format, so you can change to text format without issue.
    It seems like the problem is that you can't format cells that are already formatted as "number" as "text" format (even if it doesn't look like they are, because they are blank). IMO, this is a bug! This is why you don't see this issue when adding columns to a new table, because the new cells don't already come with a format.
    To workaround, you can highlight the body cells after adding the new column, and delete the cells. This will "clear" the formatting, so you can then go in the inspector, format them as text, and the correct keyboard will pop up.
    Hope that helps!

    Hi,
    jQuery is not included to Apex 3.2 by default.
    If you have not include jQuery library's to e.g. your page template or page header, then it is not "installed".
    You can run your app and inspect HTML source to be sure.
    You can download jQuery and jQuery UI and place files to your HTTP server folder. Then load those in e.g. page template header.
    Or use jQuery files from Google by placing to page template header.

    The table header is shown automatically when you add the table to a scrollpane and then display the scrollpane in a panel. You use the following code to build the table/scrollpane:
    // display table with ResultSet contents
    jTable1 = new JTable (rows, columnHeads);
    JScrollPane scroller = new JScrollPane(jTable1);
    but, you add the table to your panel NOT the scrollpane:
    this.add(jTable1, new GridBagConstraints(0, 2, 2, 1, 1.0, 1.0
    ,GridBagConstraints.CENTER, GridBagConstraints.BOTH, new Insets(12, 25, 0, 22), 522, 281));
    You should be adding the scrollpane to you panel.

    I don't know how to read the code you pasted or I would have checked this myself.
    Do your fields in the internal table reference dictionary objects or elementary types? If not using dictionary types, the column names will be blank by default. If you can't change your fields to be dictionary types, you can try this to change the column names:
    I made a method inside my local class to add the names:
            call method set_colname
              EXPORTING iv_tab = alv_tab
                        iv_colid = 'xxxx'  "fieldname from the table
                        iv_stxt = text-t54
                        iv_mtxt = text-t55
                        iv_ltxt = text-t55.
    METHOD set_colname .
      data:
              alv_cols type REF TO cl_salv_columns_table,
              alv_col type REF TO cl_salv_column.
      TRY .
    *... Change fieldnames
            call METHOD iv_tab->get_columns RECEIVING value = alv_cols.
            call method alv_cols->get_column EXPORTING columnname = iv_colid RECEIVING value = alv_col.
            IF iv_stxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_short_text EXPORTING value = iv_stxt.
            ENDIF.
            IF iv_mtxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_medium_text EXPORTING value = iv_mtxt.
            ENDIF.
            IF iv_ltxt <> ''.
              CALL METHOD alv_col->set_long_text EXPORTING value = iv_ltxt.
            ENDIF.
       CATCH cx_salv_not_found.

  • Report Column Heading Alignment - Center Not Working Correctly

    I am using Apex 2.1 (XE) and now have an application with about 30 pages. I've noticed that some of my reports which have columns with a heading alignment of "center" are not always centering if they have columns that align to the left or right included before them. I looked at the generated HTML and it shows that align="LEFT" or align="RIGHT" is being generated in the source even when the column heading is set to center in the designer. It appears that if a field higher on the list says to align the column heading left or right, then that is what the following columns are going to do also if they are set to center. So column heading left and right works great, and center works only if all the columns are set to center.
    My question: Is this a known bug? Is it something that can be scheduled for a fix at some point in the future?
    Luckily the column data itself obeys the column alignment, so this is strictly a cosmetic problem with the column headings.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hello,
    What theme are you using?
    Try setting them with a css decalration. Instead of align="right" put this is in the heading attribute
    style="text-align:right;" or style="text-align:left;"

  • Af:clientlistener not working in af:column header

    Hi I am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 and my browser is IE 8.
    i have added client listener property in af:column to show the tooltip message on 'mouseover' action. This property is working fine If i am using inside the af:inputDate components. but, same clientlistenr is not working inside the table in column.
    the Working Code is : -
    <af:resource type="javascript" >
    function showPopupFromAction(actionEvent)
    actionEvent.cancel();
    var eventSource = actionEvent.getSource();
    var popup = eventSource.findComponent("popup");
    popup.show({align:AdfRichPopup.ALIGN_AFTER_START, alignId:eventSource.getClientId()});
    </af:resource>
    in client listener method is called in below componemnts:-
    <af:inputDate value="#{bindings.dateField.inputValue}"
    autoSubmit="true" columns="8"
    inlineStyle="padding-left:10px" partialTriggers="afDtId"
    required="#{bindings.dateField.hints.mandatory}"
    shortDesc="Searches the dateField" id="afDtId"
    binding="#{pageFlowScope.commonBean.afDtBind}"
    valueChangeListener="#{pageFlowScope.commonBean.valueChangeOfdateField}">
    <f:validator binding="#{bindings.dateField.validator}"/>
    <af:convertDateTime pattern="#{bindings.dateField.format}"/>
    <af:clientListener type="mouseOver" method="showPopupFromAction"/>
    </af:inputDate>
    But, Inside the column not working,
    <af:column sortProperty="dateField" sortable="true"
    headerText="dateField" width="85px"
    id="c2">
    <af:inputDate value="#{row.bindings.dateField.inputValue == null ? 'N/A' : row.bindings.dateField.inputValue}" readOnly="true"
    label="#{bindings.commonListTable.hints.dateField.label}"
    required="#{bindings.commonListTable.hints.dateField.mandatory}"
    shortDesc="#{bindings.commonListTable.hints.dateField.tooltip}"
    id="id2">

    <af:clientListener type="mouseOver" method="showPopupFromAction"/>
    </af:inputDate>
    </af:column>
    And Table property is :
    <af:table value="#{bindings.commonListTable.collectionModel}" inlineStyle="width:1186px;border:none;background:rgb(243,243,243);margin-left:2px;"

    For defining a tooltip message on af:column, you can use the below code:
    In the header facet of af:column add an output text with value same as column header Text. Provide the tooltip message in the shortDesc property.
    <af:column sortProperty="EmployeeId" sortable="true"
                     headerText="#{bindings.Employees.hints.EmployeeId.label}"
                     id="c4" shortDesc="Employees">
            <af:outputText id="ot5" text="#{row.EmployeeId}">
            </af:outputText >
            <f:facet name="header">
              <af:outputText value="EmployeeId" id="ot12" shortDesc="Employee"/>
            </f:facet>
          </af:column>Hope it helps.

  • Get clicked column header not working

    Here's what I'm trying to do:
    Have a multi-column listbox of elements.  Allow the user to select a few rows he is interrested in (and the become highlighted).  Allow sorting of the listbox by clicking on the column headers.
    I've got the listbox populating fine, if nothing is selected, the sorting works fine (event structure based on mouseup event of the multi-column listbox, calling to the "get clicked column header" invoke node method sorts the data.  The part that is not working is that If the user has elements selected, sorts the listbox, the same elements are selected (not the same rows, but those same elements in whatever row they ended up after being sorted).
    What happens is if I select a few rows in the listbox (listbox configured for 0-N elements selectable, highlight entire row), and then click on the column header, the event structure fires off a value change event for the listbox and changes to no elements selected.  if I then click the column header again, it fires off the mouse up event and I get the sorting, but now none of the rows are selected.  Weird thing is that first time I click the column header and it fires the value change event, a call into get clickced column header returns negative value so it won't tell me which column header the user clicked to "empty" the selection.
    Bugger!!!!  doesn't work how I want it to.
    Funny thing is if I change the listbox over to a 1-N elements selectable, and then select a few rows, and then click on the column header, the event structure fires off the mouse up event and I get the sorting and re-selecting exactly as I would expect.
    What's the deal here?? is this a bug, or expected behavior.  If it's expected, it would be nice if it were a little more consistent between the different types of listboxes.  Also, any good suggestions as to how to allow users to have 0-N selected elements, and be able to sort the listbox and keep the selected rows selected?

    Sounds annoying.  Here is a variation of my goto method for these types of problems:
    Use the MouseDown? event to catch important info like the old value.
    Restore the old value at the end of the Mouse Up event.
    Some details, like making sure that the down and up clicks are in the same cell.
    Use Defer Updates to prevent flashing.
    One of many kluges I have around for the MC Listbox....

      data: l_column_text type string.
      l_column_text = 'Must Change By'.
