Css pop up issues

if you go to
http://www.enhancedwireless.net/Company/TEST.shtml
and rollover "(ODMA)" you should get a disjointed rollover of
a 301 x 167 gif image. However, while this works in latest mac FF
and Netscape, it doesn't work in Safari 1.3.2 or later, except the
portion of the image which is OUTSIDE the main body, ie the grey
right margin...
So what is the problem? One thing, been told I'm not supposed
to be able to give the "left" attribute anything other than "0",
but I gave it what I wanted (-140px) and it seems to line up
correctly, except doesn't show in Safari...is one problem my
z-indexes? Not too familiar with what they should be.
Opera latest - pops up initially, but won't go away, or if it
does, will only come back in a fractured way. On my css I'm using
the screen2 code.
Would love a solution, especially since I got this to work
with a swf file on ALL the above browsers.

Lastly, once I get this pop up working, would be nice if it
could have a drop shadow on the image to separate it a bit from the

You have quite a few errors in your html -

fix up those errors first and then see if anything has
changed. I don't
believe you are going to get the position of the popup
exactly where you
want it, but do a google for: overlib and that may help.

CSS rounded border issue

I've got a CSS rounded border issue. Safari (4.0.3) is drawing a slight white artifact on the rounded corners. Look at the comparison between the Safari screenshot and the Firefox (3.5.x) screenshot (look at the border on the Watch button):

Are you doing this with CSS3 ? If your using CSS 3 you know it hasn't really been fully implemented in all browsers, (even if they say so). Even tho CSS 3 is out and running, I myself tend to shy away from stuff like round corners.
No Apple won't see this.

Adobe Pop-up Issues

Hi! Ever since I downloaded Adobe Reader 9.1 from Adobe's main site a month ago, I've been invariably getting a pop-up window from "Problem Reports and Solutions" every time I tried closing the application. Otherwise, all was fine and I didn't experience any hanging or other abnormal behaviour of Adobe Reader. I've attached a screenshot of my issue as diagnosed by "Problem Reports and Solutions" and I hope it will help you in resolving my problem. Thanks.

hi! I'm running Adobe Reader on a Windows Vista Home Premium OS with SP2 installed. The antivirus software that I'm using is BitDefender Total Security 2009 and all security patches are up-to-date. There have been no annoying pop-ups that I experienced all along as my browser settings is set to block most automatic pop-ups. And the issue I'm experiencing had already been present right from the time I installed Adobe Reader, so it had never worked to begin with. By the way, did you have problems reading the details of the error log that I sent you as an attachment? And how do I paste logs that may be related to the error? Thanks.

I can't yet see the image you attached because it is still queued on Adobe's server but if you could tell us a little more about your system and possibly provide an error log, that would be a great way to help us work towards a solution to your issue. First, what operating system does your computer use? Service packs? Anti-virus and anti-spyware versions? Are all security patches up to date? Are you getting annoying popups when surfing the Web? Has anything been installed since it worked last?
To view event logs:
1. Right-click My Computer inthe Start menu
2. Click Manage
3. Expand the Event Viewer menu on the left
4. Click Application
Look for any error that is time-stamped around the time you last reproduced the error. Paste anything from the logs you feel may (or may not) be related.

Masthead pop up issue in SP21

Dear All,
we customized out portal masthead as well as standard desktop for EP7 patch level 14, it was working fine in production environment and development environment , then we upgraded the development environment to sp21 and we encountered a pop up issue on top level navigation, the worksets and roles are opening in a new window rather then openinig on a active window. this is a major navigation issue. we customized the masthead using com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead_core.jar,
my concern is once we upgrade portal, are we have to download the new par file in sp21 or is it works with a old jar file (sp14).
because i checked dowloading the sp14 and sp21 jar file ( com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead_core.jar) there is a different in file size.

Since this started happening after the upgrade , i suspect something has gone wrong while upgrading . Even if that is not the case , navigation issues like these might occur after an upgrade . Check out all relavent SAP notes . You can also record the traces through http watch and compare , although i think it will not help much but still give it a try .You may get a clue .
If you have a clustered environment , check if the issue is coming on all server nodes and because it is dev you can always take a restart and see . If nothing works then without wasting much time raise an OSS .I dont think this has got anything to do with your masthead component .

CSS pop up menus problems

put together the attached website using a trick I found on
the internet to create CSS pop ups with not a lot of javascript.
There is a patch in the code to get the menus to work on IE.
However, after putting this together, they still seem not to be
working. Any thoughts? I am thinking that the function code I am
using is not translating properly because I divided the menus into
tables.

DV6 IDT audio crackle pop click issue

I have pavilion dv6 with the crackle pop sound issue. It almost sounds like it crackles when the bass hits or higher notes. I have tried disabling hp 3d thing, that didnt work.
I updated newest drivers. Just very frustrating.

Fixed issue, so far, Will see if problem stays away if so I'll not send it in for repairs.
First time says christmas, i have been able to use my notebook. HP FAIL.
How did the techs not even update my drivers when i sent it in for repair. They did more work than necessary changing out speakers that were perfectly fine.

yeah.. after a post by Catherina i decided to post this to make sure you guys see it. If CL closes/deletes this thread they simply acknowledge that they dont want you to know the truth.
i called CL support yesterday around 4ish, and i asked if they got an update on the crackling/popping issue. the reply was "there is no case with popping/crackling issue with XFI that is known". i called again so that i speak with someone else to see if it was the case that only off them was unaware of the situation and got same reply.
the guys attempted to give me the entire troubleshoot again.. i told him i already done all that for the past 5 months bla bla bla.. he offered an RMA with updated firmware... i told him i already got an RMA 2 months ago...
now WTF is going on? are they simply BSing us that they have acknowledged the issue?

I'm not sure what you hope to achieve by starting this thread and essentially calling us liars. Customer Support have to troubleshoot a problem if someone contacts them. They won't have any new info for you yet. Others may contact Support with similar symptoms but resolve them by doing some of the troubleshooting mentioned.
Everything I have told you here is true, we are investigating this and as soon as I have some information for you I will be posting it here.
I'm closing this thread, not to silence you or because I "don't want you to know the truth", but because this thread was only started to cause an argument and I don't see any constructi've discussion coming from this. Please use the other thread to discuss this particular topic (crackling).

USB over current status detected pop out issue

I faced an issue regarding usb over current status detected pop out issue. This popout keep pop out most of the time when i switch on my tv. Even i've try to plug off my cable and swith it on back.

CSS Menu hover issue in IE7

Hi all,
I've created a CSS based drop down menu for this site:

In IE7 the menus don't drop down. They pop up and cover the parent
item they are supposed to descend from. Can anyone tell me why this
is and how to fix it?

Seems to work ok in IE7 for me. But not in IE6 ! ?
works ok in Safari & Opera - and FF of course
I popped the code into Dw and ran the compatibility check and
says
there is a problem with IE6 - Expanding box problem
Googled it - and not sure that is 100% correct - but it might
be a
steer........ ?

Adobe RoboHelp 8 Pop-up Issue

Since upgrading to Adobe RoboHelp 8 from a former Macromedia version, the Topic Heading's will not display in the Pop-up windows. The pop-up headings worked in the older version. The graphics that are in the heading appear but the text which is defined as Heading 1 does not. Does anyone have a suggestion for correcting this problem?

Thanks for your input. I've checked both CSS files for negative margins and there's not a single negative margin in any of my styles. Following along these same lines, I do have some margins specified by Points and a few others by Pixels, which may or may not cause a problem. I really don't think that's the issue because it's not caused any problems to this point. Here are the relevant styles:

A different pop email issue

I have an issue with a pop account that I can get one e-mail off the server, but only one at a time. I have to delete the message I have in order to get the next one.
The account settings appear to be right, I have used them for years on my treo's with no problems.This is my primary account so this is a huge issue.
Any suggestions?

Its a attglobal.net account. and as far as I know there are no funny account requirements or settings like some of the bellsouth and att.net discussions have had.

CSS load balancing issue

Hi,
I'm facing a problem with CSS while load balaning for the web application with two servers.
The application is based on activex..
Basically I have two servers running web application for which I have created VIP in the CSS, user hits the VIP address and they access the application, also we use the sticky thing as the application requires the session persistence.. everything is fine, but the problem starts when one of the server fails...
Assume a user hits the VIP address and access the application, due to the sticky thing his session will be with server A (for eg.), now suddenly the server A fails and in that time the user was doing a transcation and inputting some data and after that he press the submit button on the page, as the server A is down the web page gets refreshed and he has to relogin to the application and redo the whole thing what he was doing in that particular transcation...
Now the application guys are telling this problem should not happen as the CSS should be able to take care of the session getting reestablished to the other server B during the server A failure...
Can someone through some lights on this... I'm bit confused now... as what I understand is that the webpage gets refreshed during a server failure because the tcp session id will get changed and the server B will not accept the same tcp session so it reinitiates the new session...
Is my understanding right?? or is there something which we can do on the CSS to avoid this problem...

1. The load balancing of the application between the two servers are not even. Actually the traffic from the users keep hitting only one server, I understand the point of sticky method used in our case, but even atleast the connection from another client machine should go to the other server,but it is not the case... traffic from all the clients goes to only one server..
what could be the possible reason for the same...

All services are alive all the time and both contexts are alive all the time.
when user tries to access LBR2:80's URL it works all the time. but when user tries to access LBR1:80's url then it works sometimes and some times it doesn't work.
could you advise what the issue could be?

When the SYN comes in the CSS will first check for the srcip in the sticky database and if it finds a match will forward to the stuck server. If the source ip is not in the sticky database the request will be load balanced using weightedrr and a server selected. That sticky server will then be added to the sticky database.
If the sticky-srcip is used between 2 content rule, it will use separate sticky table.
You may need to take packet capture to understand what is really failing along with
a following outputs :

RH 11 CSS Mapping Styles issue with Word 2013

Hello members,
Any help will be much appreciated.
Platform: Win 7, RH 11, Word 2013 however, using an existing Word Template that was created in Word 2007.
HISTORY:
Six months ago, an upgrade of RH8 to RH11 took place (smooth, no issues reported). Please note, I have no "easy" way to verify if there was a problem in RH8 (all projects are upgraded, and old builds are backed up on IT server).
There are existing Styles created in RH and in the Word Template (e.g., Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Normal, normal_bold, etc.). These existing Styles have no mapping issues hence, RH CSS recognizes their corresponding Word Styles.
ISSUE:
RH11 CSS does not recognize New RH Styles and Word Styles.
NOTE: Styles are the same type. “For example, character to character, paragraph to paragraph, table to table, and multi-level list to multi-level list” (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/robohtml/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11aff59c2a0-7ee4.ht ml#WS21E2B5E4-C4AC-47b2-9D4B-D548EA9E3C04).
Things Tried:
Converted (SaveAs) my template .dot (Word 2007) to ".dotm" (Word 2013) = No change in issue mentioned above.
What do I see when I create new Styles in RH CSS and Word Template: I am able to map Table and Multi Level List.
Purpose: Working on a documentation standard project. Creating New Styles ‘based on’ existing styles. For example:

Indents: Left = 36pt
Spacing: Before = 0px
Paragraph: Alignment = Left

Spacing: Before = 0pt, After = 6pt, Line Spacing = Single, Selected (Don't add space between paragraphs of the same style)
Paragraph/Line & Page Breaks: Pagination = Window/Orphan control, Tight wrap = None
Bullet Format: Font = Symbol, Font style = Regular, Size = 9, Font color = no color
Problem I am having is as follows:
RH Wizard section - Print Document Appearance
Project’s CSS Styles (Used Only or All)
ListBullet
Microsoft Word Styles (all)
Unassigned – Use style in project) drop-down list
The Style “ListBullet” does NOT show in the list
NOTE: This anomaly I just reported happens for ANY new ‘Paragraph Style’ I create. If I create a List/MultiList, and the names of the Style are the same in RH and Word, RH Wizard automatically maps them. However, reading on multiple forums, authors have reported problems with Indentations (i.e., Word over extends the indentations); I have see this as well.

Thank you Peter and Amebr for your assistance. I ended up using RH Multilevel List Style, configured, and created an identical List Style in Word. I created a Single and a Multilevel (e.g., Level = bullet, Level 2 = squares); their challenge is matching RH indents with Word Indents... It's sort of a bear since RH does not have the Format Paragraph option (ref. drop-down) like Word Lists - Numbering functionality.
After generating my print document mu Bullet style reads "Normal (Web)"; even though the RH CSS Wizard recognized Word List Style I created (Ref. Font: Symbol, Font color: Black, Indent: Left: 0.15", Hanging: 0.25", Outline numbered + Level: 1 +, Numbering Style: Bullet + Aligned at: 0.15" + Indent at: 0.4", Priority: 100, Based on: No List.
Question: Would anyone out there know why is when I highlight my bullet list to verify the correct Style (with the Styles pane open) and I see the "Normal (Web)" [its Style type = Paragraph and Style based on = Normal) is selected? If it came through (from Rh) as a true Multilevel List Style, I should not see anything.

CSS Dropdown Menu Issue in Contribute

Hello everyone,
My name is Boris and I have these question related to the
Adobe Contribute.
I'm working on a client web site where there is a CSS drop
down menu that works in all the browsers. Which works perfectly in
all the browsers without use of JavaScript. However, the issue
comes when you use Contribute and it simply shows the entire drop
down menu all incorrectly and overall design gets all wrong because
of that. I was wondering if anyone had similar problem and has a
solution for it or if there is a way to make code hidden just to
Contribute?? I would very much welcome any help with this issue.

I've figured it.
Just so anyone else who is experiencing this knows - i
changed all the
margin-left properties to just 'left' and made the position
relative. For
some reason Contribute didn't recognise the margin-left
property at all.
Strange. It now displays exactly the same in dreamweaver,
contribute, ie,
firefox...etc.
