CSSCAN in 11g - Characterset not changing from WE8IMSWIN1252 to AL32UTF8
All,
We have installed a 11g database in Linux box and once after that we wanted to change the character set to AL32UTF8 from default WE8MSWIN1252.
We took the cs-alter approach and ran cs-scan utility, upon going through csscan.txt files generated by csscan utility we found that there are no lossy data but convertible data was found in data dictionary. Below is the output from csscan.txt

But while running csalter.plb csalter came out without changing the characterset. We ran the following query given the said document and it returned no rows which again confirms there is no problem and go ahead with running csalter.

/Sorry to have made the thread so big but to make sure and give a complete picture of the issue pasted the csscan contents. Request the PRO's to help us in this issue.
You have convertible data in the application tables. CLOB or not, such data prevents csalter.plb from changing the character set.
You are on 11.2.0.3, so use the DMU (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/globalization/dmu/overview/index.html). It can cope with such data.

I have restore the rman on new server oracle 11.2.0.3 (Previous backup was of oracle 10.2.0.4).
Then I have successfully upgrade the database to oracle 11g but issue which I am facing right now is that the old database have the character set WE8ISO8859P1 which is now upgraded to oracle 11.2.0.3 database server.
My required character set is AL32UTF32.
Now is there any way that while restoring the rman backup of oracle 10.2.0.4 on new server I set the character set to AL32UTF32.

I think as you are changing from WE8ISO8859P1 to AL32UTF8, so you do not need any tool.

Thanks for the question. Based on the information you have provided, it sounds like your Wi-Fi option on an iPhone 4S is greyed out. The following article explains this issue and potential resolution:

1. Verify that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud - Apple Support
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

Change Management Request will not change from Status New
When I create a new Change Request the Status is listed as New. The Status never changes from "New" to "Pending" or "In Progress." In addition, my Review Activity Status is blank and I cannot approve the Change Request.

1. Stop the 3 System Center Management services on the Service Manager Management Server responsible for your workflows:
System Center Management
System Center Data Access Service
System Center Management Configuration
Note: Technically, I likely could have gotten away with just stopping the System Center Management service, but I wanted to give this server a fresh start.
2. Delete the contents of the C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\Service Manager\Health Service State folder.
Make sure the Health Service Store folder and the .edb files in it are deleted.
3. Restart the 3 services listed above.
4. Verify the contents of the C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\Service Manager\Health Service State folder are recreated.
5. The SRs in the “New” state should start processing and progress into the ”In Progress” state.

Can not change from French Keyboard settings to another language
Just installed a user account (french) and for some odd reason every time i change the keyboard input to another language it still switches back or simply keeps on using the french input, even if i totally de-select it from the input list and leave only the language i want to use.
i ran disk utilities to fix permissions, also fixed keychain permissions as well; still the same.
can anyone please advise on what i should do about this to get it working right?ok i finally got rid of france and the french curse here
Your right to remove the prefs folder,
1-i moved it to the desktop, and noticed when i re-logged in what was in the pref folder,
2-then narrowed it down to the files that where again created automatically in the prefs folder for the keyboard input after i selected another country flag .
3- i then drag and dropped all the files from the previous prefs folder that had the com.apple etc, and i chose to replace what i refered, like for example my DOC prefs, and the rest i did not replace.
everything is now back, this user had so many prefs since OS9 !, wierdo. -
Process chain program variant will not change from yellow...

<b>Problem:</b>
I have a process chain that has two branches with 3 process chain variants on each leg in a parallel configuration. The process chain variants run different program variants. I am using variant object called "ABAP Program with Success/Failure " which can have a yellow, green, or red status and has status arrows that can be either red or green that connect to other process chain variants. The program executed with these variants is a customized BPS UPC_BUNDLE_EXECUTE program. When I run this PC the first variant on each leg usually hangs indefinitley on the yellow status. In the Backg tab log (double click PC variant in Log View) I can see the various SQL code that was ran. The last line of the log is an SQL-END:... Sometimes it will get past the first 2 varaints and hang on the next set of 2. Other times it will just hang on the last variant of one leg. It is very sporadic.
<b>What I have observed and tried:</b>
If I check my SM51 for the server the chain is running on I can see that the program in question is not running. If I run the same program through SE38 that runs via a PC variant it runs sucessfully in an appropriate amount of time. If I kill the process that has been running indefinitley through SM51 the process chain variant will go from a yellow status to a red as expected.
I changed they way I ran the programs from running in parallel in 2 legs to running all of them in one leg serially. That did not work. At least one program variant will hang on the yellow status.
I replaced all the variants using "ABAP Program with Success/Failure" to "ABAP Program" which has a red/green status but no red or green arrows, but black coming out of the variant forcing it to move down the chain on a sucess or failure. The process chain variants also hung in the yellow status using the "ABAP Program" variant.
I have tried starting the process chain using both "Direct Scheduling" with "Immediate" and "After Event." I have also kicked it off using "Start Using Meta Chain or API" so it was functioning as a sub process chain. Programs were still yellow in every case without changing to red or green.
I created new process chain variants for every single program/variant that I am using. Still no luck.
I have tried removing the chain from the schedule and re-activating and re-running and still no luck.

DO NOT CHANGE FROM COPPER TO FIOS! IT IS NOT WORTH THE EFFORT OR TIME!
I recently changed over from Time Warner Cable to FIOS for one phone line while Verizon said that it would be easy to change over my original phone line (copper) that we have had for 1 years now.
Well, several weeks ago the older line was added to the new FIOS service. No problem as it worked great, until I called about being billed for the old copper line! Yes, they were billing me for the past two months for service not rendered! I called them on it and they said that in order to combine the accounts they have to shut off my old line, give me a brand new number, for a DAY, and then give me back my old number. YES, ALL of that to just change a bill and account!
They shut off my phone on Tuesday and here it is Thursday evening and still no phone service for the line that was working on FIOS that they changed over from copper six weeks ago or so. Now they tell me they have to give me a new phone number and have to figure out what went wrong.
So PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T CHANGE YOUR COPPER LINE TO FIOS!!! They do not know how to handle it internally as I have spoke to no less then five people, two of which were supervisors! Wait, there is more as they even sent a tech over on Tuesday to change out a box they had already installed at the end of October!!!! Yes, they have NO IDEA what they are doing!!

InfoObject Package Definition for Tranport - Can Not Change from $tmp

I have a strange situation here, I am unable to change the package from $tmp for an existing InfoObject.
We recently upgraded from 3.x to NW7.01 and I have an object that was defined as a local object before our upgrade that I now need to transport. All of the pre-upgrade checks were executed.
I first attempted to collect the InfoObject via the transport organizer in RSA1 (and RSA1OLD). When prompted for the package in the Object Directory window (and clicking the display/change), the package remains in display only mode. I am able to change the "person responsible", though.
I have, in addition, checked the InfoObject in RSD1, RSRV, SE80. I have tried to change the InfoObject itself, but can not get the package to change. Also, I am able to change the package if I create a brand new InfoObject. I had our security rep check my authorizations, and everything checks out okay.
If anyone has run into this issue and have a workaround, please let me know...

SE03 did the trick. I had to change both the Package from $tmp to 'ZmyPackage' as well as the Original System from "SAP" to my bw system "BWD". I'm guessing the "original system" was changed during the upgrade. No big deal -- it was an easy fix...
For reference -- those Object Entries updated in tcode SE03 are stored in table TADIR. Filter by object type. I compared the entry I was having issues with to other objects and noticed that the source system was different -- SAP not BWD (in my case). With the incorrect source system, BI was trying to repair the object -- but will not repair local objects.

i was trying to restore my phone and it was connected and everything and i went to restore it and after a couple of minutes something popped up saying it couldt restore. i looked to my phone screen and it looked as if the phone was going to restore but the screen never changed and after an hour, it still hasn't changed. i tired holding down the lock button but that didnt do anything. then i tried hooking it back up to itunes but itunes doesn't connect to it and my computer doesn't detect a connected device. What happened and how can i fix it?

Service Order status Not Changing From Resloved to Closed status
The service order Status not automatically moving from Resolved to closed after 30days.
Observation
We Revived program Z program ,seems to be fine.
I am set the program in debugging mode for testing the Service orders by reduce the time duraion for staus resolved to closed, am getting the getting the Error Test determination procedure is not evaluated .
Point of dout
1) Is there any relation between Test Determination Procedure and Z program.
2) while am checking for Text Customing for Consistency I found an error Log.
3) While creating Service Order Test field was Mandatory
for that have dout about is there any relation between for this program

I am using Mountain Lion iOS and trying to connect my MacBook Pro to my plasma TV using AppleTV and AirPlay mirroring. The video does just fine. However, there is no audio coming from the TV. After activating AirPlay I try to select Apple TV as the audio output in System Preferences and it highlights it but then immediately goes back to Internal Speakers and only has sound coming from the MacBook Pro..
What's going wrong ?????
AJAre you sure that WIFI network doesn't have an AppleTV on it? Just because you don't own it doesn't mean there isn't one on that network. The laptop or better said the OS cannot differentiate between an AppleTV that you own or not. If it sees one on the network, it will show you one as being available. The automatic reconnection is happening probably because the last time you streamed to an AppleTV, you didn't drop that connection before sleeping the computer or shutting down iTunes.

Tv out do not change from off to on
Despite to have followed all the step to set up mi iPod 80Gb to watch my videos on TV the option OFF keep in OFF. I've choose Videos>Setting>Tv Out to change to ON pressing center button but nothing happen. Can somebody help me please?
If what you say is right, he posted in the wrong forum, here is 5th Gen one (Video, 30, 60, and 80, plastic faced), not 6th Gen one (classic, 80 and 160 aluminium faced).
Well, if you have the classic, you have to have one of the dock connector to composite/component cable, the old one seems useless.

Oracle 11g is not connecting from network client machine.
Oracle 11g was installed on windows server 2003.
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor ._
we are getting the above oracle exception when we give the following command:
LSNRCTL> services oracle11g_listener
Connecting to (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=CBR-SRV-HPORA.CIBER-INDIA.IN)(PORT=1522)))
The listener supports no services_
The command completed successfully.

Thanks.Your Lstener doesn't know anything about services. You must configure the dynamic registration of the service in your database, e.g.
alter system set local_listener="(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=CBR-SRV-HPORA.CIBER-INDIA.IN)(PORT=1522)))";
(for permanent setting don't forget pfile or spfile)
After that the database will register the services at thie address und you will see the service when asking 'srvctl services oracle11g_listener'

Process m000 died: Clients could not establish the connection
Hello All, Env: 10.2.0.3 on Solaris 10 Yesterday, my users were unable connect to the database for around 25 minutes and it happened all of sudden and after few minutes they could establish the connection. (But i could connect from my PC using system
