CST calculation

Hi Gurus,
I am working on taxinn procedure,
In my material master i have condition type JIVC, JIVP, JSVD, JEC3.And in my customer master also same conditions JIVC, JIVP, JSVD, JEC3
And my Access sequence for JIVC (CST) is as: Country/PlntRegion/TaxCl1Cust/TaxCl.Mat - Interstate
And my Access sequence for JIVP (VAT) is as: Country/PlntRegion/Region/TaxCl2Cust/TaxCl.2Mat.
In material tax classification has rates 1%,2% ect which is common for both JIVC and JIVP. I am facing a problem while maintaining the condition records for the same.
So please guide me how to do this?
Pls tell me how can i create condition record for CST Plant region/tax classcust/tax class mat ,As cst is between two states, also If i create records for cst and vat conditions ,While creating cst scenario both cst and vat is flowing.
Consultants who have faced similar issues pls suggest the solution.
Regards,
Shruthi S

Shruthi,
1.Maintain master record from where the data is flowing
IMG --> SD --> BF  --> Taxes --> Define ta relevancy of master Records,  wherein you maintain Customer taxes as well as material taxes.
ZVAT (0,1)and ZCST (1, 2) will be maintained in both the master records
Check whether both VAT and CST values explained above are maintained in respective master records views.
2. calculation view
Cust. master Tax fields                 Mat. mast Tax field
ZVAT                                     0                                               0                      = 0%
ZVAT                                     1                                               1                      = 4%
ZCST                                     0                                               0                    =   0%
ZCST  W/o Form                    2                                               1                     = 10%
ZCST with form C                   2                                               2                     =  3%
3. Maintain condition type
Country/Plant/Region/Tax Classfi cust1/Tax classfication material
Region 01 = TN (within state)               - IN / XXXX / 01/1/1 = 4%
Region 02 =KT (outside the state)        - IN / XXXX / 02/2/1 = 10%
                                                           IN / XXXX / 02/2/2 = 3%
That's it

  • Base Value change for CST calculation

    Hi,
I've a requirement that CST should get calculated on an assessible value and not on Net Price in the PO. e.g.
    Basic Price: 100
    BED@10%: 10
    ECess@2%: 2
    SHECess@1%: 1
    Subtotal 1: 113
    Assessible Value for CST: 90
    CST@4%: 3.60
    Total: 116.60
How can we change base value for CST calculation in Tax Procedure?
We are using Tax Procedure TAXINN.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

    Hi All,
I got the solution for my issue so closing the thread.
I changed the Tax procedure.Add two new condition types, one for Assesseble value for CST calculation and another one which is a copy of JVCS(CST condition). In case when no assesseble value is maintained, new condition type for CST will be zero.

  • Condition type before CST/VAT calculation

    Dear Friends ,
Is it possible to create a condition type which will get added only after excise duty calculation but before CST calculation.
If its possible kindly tell me how to go about it.
    Regards,
    DGN

    Hi,
you will have to add an additional condition type in TAXINN procedure as "Freight Before Vat" , mantain it as statistical as it is only for calculation. and mantain FV11 for the same.
Further The same freight amount will also have to be entered in the PO pricing Procedure for Inventorization , payment etc.
first you have to make a tax condition type , make 2 , one as Value adn other percentage based. assign it to your tax procedure in steps which are before subtotaos: "Total excsie duty +cess" and "base for sales tax" , make sure to change the "to" part of base for sales tax .also make sure to tick these new conditions as statistical .Mantain FV11 for the Freight conditions.
The above config will only help you in calculating Correct Vat , this has nothing to do with PO pricing procedure. Freight will have to be entered in PO Pricing procedure normally as well.

  • CST to be added on freight

    Hi all,
    We are using TAXINJ.
till now Freight was not considered for CST calculation. But now user wants CST to be calculated on (Basic PriceEDFreight),
Can any one guide me for the required changes to be done in TAXINJ & in M/08?
    Regards
Edited by: sapsarang on Dec 21, 2010 12:43 PM

    Hi,
As you said, now your system calculating base price (net price) without calculating freight charge & you may be paying(a separate G/L account for freight charge) to freight vendor as freight charge where you have freight condition type in M/08 with account key & accrual key.
Now as you needed, go to freight condition type in M/06 & keep condition category BLANK. Do not assign account key & accrual key to freight condition type for MM pricing procedure in M/08.
Now create a PO, you can see freight charge added to NET price in PO( where base price is net price + freight charge )where you can see CST will be calculated on Basic Price +ED

    Dear SAPiens,
i have a scenario that is i want to put some amount in  PO calculation schema under a condition type.for this amount i want to calculate vat/cst in my tax code.there alse i had put the same condition type in my tax calculation procedure.
so how can i get populate the condition value from PO schema to tax schema.
    Regards,
    Umu

    Dear Murugan,
The requirement is like this bcoz this value will be added to calculate for cst/vat only.
suppose my base value is 1000.the excise will be calculated on this 1000 Rs say 100 rs
now normally the vat/cst is calculated on 1000+100(ED). but in my case there is some extra amount is there for which i dont want to calculate the ED but want to add for VAT/CST calculation only.
that is 1000100thevalue i put in my PO schema.

  • CST Value add to Inventory & GR/IR

    Dear Mentors
I have one Business scenarion like below mentioned:
This is Purchase of imported material ( EOU 100%)  in damestic purchase. But we have to pay customs, cvs & E.cess & Hcess to govt like import purchase. E.g
    Basic price : 100 amt
    CVD           : 10 amt
    Customs    : 10 amt
    E.Cess & H.E.cess: on cvd and customs : ex : 2 amt
    Now CST  on : 122 of 2% = 2.44
For this purpose i created one condition type. system calculating po value correct. while doing migo my CST value suppose to add in inventory and gr/ir  like
    Inv a/c - 102.44
    gr/ir - 102.44
I am not getting like above. If I add tax code (v3 - 2% cst) in po system giving the value like above. but my requirement is CST calculation on( basiccustomscvd+cess) above mentioned values. so I need to creae one cond.type in po conditions. so I am getting the correct value in po conditions. not getting inventory value like above mentiond.
If any one face like this problem please give me answer.
Advanced thanks and highly apprciated if any body give right solution.
    Regards
    Laxman

    Hi laxman,
As u dont know the percentage of CVD, AED, ECESS and SECESS on CVD, which the vendor is passing on u...This is purely a trading process.
         Just follow the process below..
Create a tax code with 0% excise + CST in T-code FTXP
Maintain conditions records for the tax code in T-code FV11 ( u should maintain for all contion type used in taxcode including AED)
Assign tax code to ur company code in log gen > tax on goods movemen > india
Create PO with the created tax code in ME21N
While doing GR u have to change the Base amount(Item wise) = Base amount - Excise (BedAEDEcess+Scess)
enter Bed, AED, Ecess and secess manually (item wise)
check MRP indicator in the add information of the excise invoice tab.
while doing Invoice also change the base amount= Base amount - Excise

  • MIRO problem for Second Stage dealer scenario

    Hi All,
I have created a purchase order to the trader in which i have taken Inclusive of excise tax code.
Now while doing MIGO i have make a tick to MRP indicator also change the base value in excise tab & fill the fields of BED, ECS & HECS whatever vendor has pass on to me & post the document.
Now in MIRO also i have change the base value & simulate the document where the extra G/L of Inventory is appearing.
That amount is 2 % i.e. CST on GR/IR clearing amount of MIGO.
Because of that 2% amount less credited to vendor account.
Please help to resolve the issue.
    Regards,
    Nandkishor Nachane

    Hi,
Since you are choosing the correct tax code @ the time of MIRO, the actual CST calculation is happening at the time of MIRO. Hence it will get posted to the inventory. Please check your MIGO/GR postings. I hope there wont be any CST calculation during GR since you have mentioned a dummy tax code in your PO.
    Hope its clear.
As per my understanding the system behaviour is correct.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Calculation of CST on (Base Value+Service Tax )

    Hi Gurus,
We are using tax procedure as TAXINN. Here our client want tax code for service and CST i.e. (Service Tax 10.3 + CST 5%.For this I have done the required configuration in FTXP but still there is a problem regarding calculation of CST.Client wants to calculate   CST 5 % on (Base + Service Tax Amount).
    Base Price                               500
    Service Tax (10.3 %)             51.5
    Total                                        551.5
    Cst (5%)                                 27.57
    Total Price with Taxes           579.075
As of now what I have seen in system its calculate CST on base price not on total of (Base + Service Tax) on the basis of condition type JVCS.I have following queries on the same:
1.Whether the requirement of client is correct means as per law
2.And if it is correct than how can we configure in SAP in tax procedure
    Kindly advice.
    Regards,
    Abhinav Sharma

    HI,
There is no way you can have this done if you are going to book transaction directly in FI based on tax code...this can be done if you are going to post transaction through SD or MM then you can attach routine to calculation procedure if MM and pricing procedure if SD..

  • CST and VAT calculation is wrong for Tool amortisation PO

    Hi,
We have tool amortization process in out company.
Vendor develops tool for us and same will be amortized for each part paying addionally some amount other than material cost ( Condition type ZAMT).
Excise duties to be calculated for tool cost also. But not VAT or CST.
Now issue is  tool amortization cost is calculated for excise duties ( Base price and ZAMT price ) which is correct.
When we calculate the CST/VAT it considers tool amortization cost also for basic price due to this we need to pay additional VAT or CST .
Is there any provision can be made in MM pricing procedure for ZAMT or in TAXINN for VAT/CST to exclude tool amortization cost.
    Please reply
    Guru

Have your pricing procedure as follows:-
    100::::PR00::::::Base Price
    110::::ZAMT:::::Tool Cost:::::::::::::100
    120:::::::::::::::Total for ED:::::::::::100::::110
    130::::ZVAT:::::VAT on Base Price::::100
    140::::ZCST:::::CST on Base Price::::100

  • CST not calculating on Delivery Charges

    Dear Users,
I have a issue in my PO cst is calculating on delivery charges but while posting MIRO document CST not calculating on delivery charges its showing tax code 'V0' for delivery charges. Please suggest me with a solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shyam

    Hi,
During invoice (MIRO), tax code will flow from Purchase Order to Invoice- You have following options:
Option:1=> You need remove default tax code in MIRO header (as tax code set as default entry in MIRO).As needed by you keep selecting CST tax code, just select check box of "Calculate tax" and check details to enter total invoice value by having balance ZERO and post document.
Option:2=> Check your CST condition type present and assign to your tax procedure in following path:
SPRO --- > Logistics general ---> tax on Goods Movements--- > India ----> Condition-Based Excise Determination ---- > Classify Condition Types
Option:3=> Cross check validity period of CST condition type with your CST tax code in FV13 t.code,
if not available- just extend validity period in t.code:FV12

  • Extra CST getting calculated on excise during GRN for the Dealer case

    Gurus,
Its a First Stage Dealer Case.
    PO price is 11000.
    CST (Non Cenvatale) 2 %
    Invoice Value   11220
Out of which the split provided by the Dealer is
    Basic 10000
    Excise 1000
    CST     220
In J1id we have declraed the vendor as dealer.
During the GRN, we do the MRP tick in the Excise Invoice Misclleneous tab and put the excise amount as 1000
The GR-IR account is getting posted 10240
The correct amount should be Basic+CST i.e. 10220
The additional component of 20 rs is getting calculated on the 1000 rs excise.
    please guide,
    Regards,
    Akshay

    chris,
    The issue got resolved.
    Since its a dealer case,
while   doing GRN we need to make the excis eentries manually, at that time one needs to alter the proposed base value of the item from 11000 to 10000 and then if we put the excise manually the GR-IR is getting generated correctly.
But now, the same issue is there in IV. (which I will post in seperate thread)
    thanks,
    Akshay

You can refer the following for Service Tax configuration
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/ServiceTaxConfigurationinIndia+(SD)
    Service Tax Configuration
For VAT, you'll have to configure Tax procedure, create Tax codes and maintain rates in them.

  • Excise,cst,vat calculation

    Hi!,
Can any one send me the material regarding procedure /rules/regulations of our government  for excise, cenvat availament, sales taxes, cst, vat in different scenarios...
    I am new to taxes...
    [email protected] or [email protected]
    thanks in advance.
    full points will be given,
    ramesh B.
Edited by: Ramesh Balivada on Feb 12, 2008 7:20 AM

    Dear Ramesh,
The rule for excise, cenvat availament, sales taxes, cst, vat vary from company to company, product to product within the same company. These inputs are correctly available from the client & we require to map the same accordingly. Incase of CST, it is 4% against 'C' form when product / material crosses the state boundary, but without 'C' form the LST / VAT will be applicable.

  • CST% should calculated two different rate for C Form /  Without C Form

    Hi,
How we can assign to one CST% condition against two different rates for C Form / Without C Form for same Plant/Vendor/Material.
My scenario is, we have purchased the Material for one plant from Vendor, but Vendor has given the material against C Form or Without C Form not fixed.
We have used to Plant/Material/Vendor Key combination for updating CST (JVCS) 2% condition through FV11. And created two PO for C Form 2% & second 5% Without C Form but it is showing 2% in both PO as per maintained in condition.
When we have received the material against without C Form 5%, changed in CST (JVCS) condition 5% and do the MIGO and same think do for against C Form.
How to resolve this type problem without changing?
But it is possible in SD their maintaining Price Group; same is it possible in MM.
    Devendra

    Hi,
1 .How we can assign to one CST% condition against two different rates for C Form / Without C Form for same Plant/Vendor/Material.
As suggested by the Pankaj you need to create 2 tax code i.e. one with C form & other as Without C form having appropriate Percentage maintained in the condition record ( FV11 )
As you may have maintained single tax code with the 2% condition record so same % flows in both PO , Use 2 sperate tax code it will resolve the issue.
    Regards
    Mascot.
