Custom Email/noti​fication Profile

I know this has been mentioned in another post.. but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE blackberry get this back in there... never in a million years would I have thought you would strip that service away... We all have several email accounts, facebook, bbm etc etc that all funnel though or bbs.  Not to mention people that are on call and receive email page out's  for work... before you were able to silent email accounts that were not so important.. or assign a specific ring/song to email after hour pages for emergencies... to ensure that you knew it was important.... Having a blanket notification setting for all accounts in your hub is a brutal oversight.......  Hopefully blackberry reviews these forums and sees that this is something that needs to be fixed in a software update....  Love love love the new phone... so many cudos to give... but this is a huge issue for me anyway and likely very annoying oversight for others.....NEED CUSTOMIZATION OPTION FOR ALL ACOUNTS, EMAILS, FACEBOOK ETC ETC......

Agreed.  All they have to do is provide the same functionality that was in OS 7.1 and it would essentially be perfect.  Now, it is pretty much the same as every other platform or less so. 
I know it is a new OS and all but its not like they had to 'come up' with how to do notifications and they started there.  All they have to do is copy themselves and they would be better than everyone else.
It's got to be on their development plan... so it is just a question of when.
I am really anxious to see what will be in OS 10.1 which will hopefully be out before the end of the month.
I guess that is the price to being essentially a beta tester for the phone.

    the btinternet.com emil address that I asked for and was sown in the registration email when I applied for BT Broadband has not yet been set up.
    When I try to login in I get "This ID is not yet taken." or when I try to get e new password it says that the email does not exist.
    We registered on 2nd August, got a new line on 10th, Infinity on the 15th due to a delay, and then our old number was restored on the 24th. When we called the help desk on the 18th or so, we were told that it was because the order was open ( for the number restoration). That is now closed.
    The broadband service is amazing by the way.
    I appreciate that the services provided by BT are divided amongst several companies, but there seems to be a teeny break in communications somewhere that stops the email accounts being set up on schedule.
    I tried calling 0800 111 4567 but couldn't break the IVR maze to get to someone to talk to.
    What is the best way forward please, I want to set up BTFON and check out the security software!

    To deploy custom alert template file, we would load changes into SharePoint and restart SharePoint 2010 Timer Service from Windows Service. If you create your own AlertTemplate in the custom_alerttemplates.xml, you will need to set the set the SPList.AlertTemplate
    property of the list. Then delete and re-subscribe to the alerts for the list.

    According to your description, my understanding is that users who were auto-subscribed using the PowerShell script do not get the custom email alert.
    For your issue, it can be caused by the auto-subscribed alert email which is generated by PowerShell script is  using OOTB alert template. You can add the following script into your script for setting
    the alerts’ alert email template:
    $contentService = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPWebService]::ContentService
    $AlertsTemplateCollection =new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPAlertTemplateCollection($contentService)

    According to your code, it create a new alert using SPUser.Alerts.Add() method. For this method, it will create a new alert based on the predefined alert template by default.
    If you only assigned the custom alert template to the list, users who manually subscribe to the alerts get the customized email, but users who were auto-subscribed using the PowerShell script get the standard
    generic email template.
    For your issue, you can set the new alert ‘s alert template:

    Does anyone know a way of updating a customer's notes by email? My client is unable to easily update a customer's notes through the CMS. Is there an alternative or a work around? TIA

  • Customer Wants All Outlook Profiles on All Computers - How?

    The CEO of our customer wants all Outlook profiles on all computers, so any person could go to any computer in any remote office, and login to Windows, open their Outlook profile, and retrieve/send email from Outlook.
    Here is our topology:
    A)  Most computers are in remote offices.
    B)  Exchange server is co-located, and there is a domain controller also co-located.
    C)  Windows is set to login locally, not through a domain controller.
    D)  We have a Windows server with access from remote office through a VPN for file retrieval.  I am concerned that setting up a domain controller there might conflict with the Exchange Server's domain controller.  As far as I know, Windows
    does not like two domain controllers.
    E)  Using the co-located domain controller is probably not an option.
    F)  I have also seen posts on here that Outlook profiles don't roam without user interaction either.
    G)  Each Outlook profile has multiple emails accounts, so doing this manually is not practical.
    I have been told "There must be a way".  I don't think the CEO is going to accept, "No".  Any other ideas?

  • I want to migrate email history to profile 2. It's available on the c-drive or usb drive it won't let me browse to the location when i click import.

    We set up two profiles in Thuinderbird. Two addresses, Two address books, etc. I want to migrate email history to profile 2 in thunderbird. when I get to IMPORT it does not give me the option of browsing to the location of the outlook express file for profile 2. I just imports the profile 1 historical data. The email I want to import is on the c-drive and I have also put it on the usb flash drive. but I can't get to it to import it. If I just let it import, at brings in the profile 1 history to profile 2. Importing the history to profile 1 worked fine, by the way. I am migrating from outlook express on xp machine to window 8.1

    RequestCenter emails not rendering correctly in Outlook 2007
    I'm having an problem where the RequestCenter automated emails are losing most of their HTML formatting when viewed in Outlook 2007.  When I look at the same email in Outlook 2003, the HTML formatting is fine.  Here's a picture of the same email displayed in Outlook 2003 and 2007:
    When I view the source HTML of the email, I noticed that there are duplicate HTML, HEAD, and BODY tags that have been automatically added by RequestCenter.  Apparently these extra tags are ignored by Outlook 2003, but cause problems with Outlook 2007.
    This picture shows the HTML source in RequestCenter's HTML editor compared to the HTML source from within Outlook with the extra tags.
    I tried removing the HTML, HEAD, and BODY tags in the HTML editor, but the editor puts the tags back in when you save it.
    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    We've actually had the same problem and had opened a ticket with customer care - it's the editor that's in the version we have (or had, since we are going through the upgrade).  What we've had to do is embed xml tags in the body of the email too, and then the team that processes the email has a little application that will process the data in the tags and strip the HTML that the editor applies.  Not much help, I know.

  • Send smartforms via email using action profiles

    hi,
    i am trying to send smartforms via email using action profiles and i would like to know if anyone has any document or know any steps to do the same. i have created the smartform and i created the action in an action profile. i selected the option "Smartforms Mail". and i have mentioned my smartform in it.
    I have previously worked with action profiles to trigger workflows which sent a mail. That was relatively easier as i could mention that the mail be sent to my mailbox. But in the smartforms option, i dont know how to give the instruction that it be sent to my mailbox.. is there any place i can set it? The action is not person dependant and is done whenever saving a document.

    As u worked on Action profiles, i recommend u use action profile with permitted Process type as Smart Forms Mail to send the mails which contains the data in Smartform u created.
    Use below mail setting
    Form Name              (u r ZSmartform)
    Processing Class      CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER
    Processing Method    CRM_ACTIVITY_EXEC_SMART_FORM
    Archive Mode            1 Mail only User
    In Action definition details u can mentioned the Processing time, Partner dependent for action to who u want to send the mail, further in action condition using schedule and start condition u can set the criteria to mail trigger.

  • Sent email not recieved on othere end

    A week ago I sent an e-mail that was never recieved by the reciepient.
    It is still in my outbox, and is no showing up (asa it normally wouldn't becuase it would be deleted after sending) in my verizon.net account online.
    Is there any way to track what happened to it and where (verizon - the receipients provider  - proof that it got transfered to their inbox...)?

    Sorry to hear about your email not being received. This email did not get to their  inbox. Emails in the outbox are pending to be sent. Once it has been sent, its moved to the sent box. Please check the recipients email address and make sure there are no typos or any extra characters in the TO: field that shouldn't be there. If additional help is still required, please reply back.

  • Custom Transaction Types, Subject Profiles etc...

    Did anyone worked on custom Transaction Type on SDCR? 
    I know that this is CRM specific stuff to configure, but want to check what are the implications in modifying exisiting SDCR..  Well, in the meanwhile, we need to work on custom Code Groups, Subject Profiles etc..
    What is the impact on upgrades if we modify the SAP defined Transaction Types SDCR?
    Please correct me if I am wrong in my approach.

    I tried to copy and modify the subject profiles, catalogs etc.  I could able to create Change Request with the custom transaction type, but not able to authorize the change request.  And I am using SAP defined action profile for custom transaction type.
    And also little bit confused how to attach the custom change request to support message (we need to select the action item "create change document").  It seems there are lot of modifications to be done all the way from support message to urgent/normal correction.

    Even for the Z output type you can set External send method in NACE.
    Other config steps are same as provided you earlier i.e. NACE -- VV31 - VF31 varient creation --> SCOT settings --> Job Schedule for VF31 with varient --> Job schedule for SCOT.
    Just one tip, if you want check SCOT settings are in place or not - generae spool request. In T.code SP01 select the spool request and Click Menu Bad --Spool Request --> Forward --> Send using SAP Office --> Type your Maild id. for e.g gmail ID.-Click on copy.
    Now go to T.code SCOT just check you have configur Adr Type INT and within INT -- SMTP. Click on Start send process and click on Start. If you get output via mail through this process your SCOT settings are in place. Else you need to ask your basis team to configure.
