Custom Field in Audit DB of BI Publisher

Hi All,
We are using BIP 11g standalone and is integrated with multiple applications via webservices. We have enabled audit and the audit information is stored in the database.
We have a requirement to store the Application Id in the Audit tables so that we can know which system invoked a particular report at a given point in time. I'm not sure if it is possible to add a custom column in the IAU_BASE or XMLPSERVER tables.
Does anyone know if it is possible?
Thanks
Jacob

Hello,
I ran into the same problem. I looked under a different directory and found it. Instead of AdminServer, use bi_server1. You should
find the audit log under there.

  • Updating a custom field in ItemCheckingIn event of pages library of publishing portal.

    I have Pages Library of publishing web. In this pages library I have a content type that has a  few custom fields.
    When ever a page is created and checked in in this library I want to send out  an update email to users.  The function that sends the email returns an Id to track the mails sent.
    I want to store this id to the one of the custom  fields of the content type attached to this pages library.
    If I use item checkingIn event then list item is available but when i update it gives  error probably due to the fact that in synchronous item the item is not yet created.
    If i use  CheckedIn  event then it executes after the file is checked in , in that case it  gives error asking me to check  out the file first and the update the custom field.
    Please  suggest the best way to update a  field in document library in synchronous event handlers or in asynchronous event handlers in the simplest of ways.
    I do not want to check out the file in asynchronous event programatically for just one field and then re check it in.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to update list item in ItemCheckedIn method in Event Receiver.
    The following code snippet for your reference:
    /// <summary>
    /// List Item Events
    /// </summary>
    public class EventReceiver1 : SPItemEventReceiver
    /// <summary>
    /// An item was checked in.
    /// </summary>
    public override void ItemCheckedIn(SPItemEventProperties properties)
    SPListItem item = properties.ListItem;
    item["Title"] = "Test1";
    item.Update();
    If the issue still exists, I suggest you debug your code or provide your code for further research.

  • Who has changed the Custom Field value?

    Dears,
    Need to know the information regarding how to fetch that who has changed the Custom field value from PWA/MPP.
    Example:
    There is a PDP (say ProjectInfo):
    There is a Custom Field added to that PDP (say Project Status = In Progress).
    Now for ProjectA, someone has checked out and changed the Custom Field "Project Status" from "In Progress" to "Closed".
    I need to fetch the information regarding who has changed that Custom field.
    In which direction should I move: Event Handlers, PSI???? Any other stuff?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shravan

    Hi Shravan,
    I'm not a developer but I do know that you can use an event handler pushing the resource name and date in custom fields.
    Another way is to use a 3rd-party tool like
    FluentPro Audit Tool.
    Hope this helps,

  • Task custom field and formula custom field don't correspond Project Server 2013

    Hi people, I have an interesting case in Project Server 2013 SP1 CU Apr:
    I have a custom task number field called AM. This field get's filled by a PSI action with actual material costs from an external system.
    I also have a custom task cost formula field that is called AM*. This field is a formula field that has the formula [AM]. And summary tasks use the formula field as well.
    As soon as I create a project, assign costs in the external system and let PSI fill the values within AM I get correct values in AM. But nothing is calculated on AM*. If I edit the project in the browser and publish, check in and revisit the project
    AM* still isn't filled.
    If I open the project in MS Project Pro the calculation comes through nicely, however I do not want to use MS project Pro to see correct data in browser.
    Some tests I have already done:
    I have noticed that when I create a new calculated task field AM2*, this get's calculated correctly on the already existing task.
    I have also noticed that opening the custom field in server settings and just saving the field creates correct values on AM*.
    What is going on? I don't want to save the custom formula field every day... There are 11 custom formula fields in the environment at the moment.

    Hi Gary,
    Thank you for the quick response. Please note that the fieldnames are [AM] and [AM*]. There is a difference in field name due to the astrix. However I did think about the situation and changing one of the field names all together didn't do anything for the
    situation at hand.
    It looks like some kind of refresh thing, because without changing anything in the custom field just saving the field in server settings will turn op good values. However, values already turned up good in Project Professional 2013. And that suggest
    that there is a calculation error on the PWA side wouldn't you say?
    Anyway, thank you for taking time to look into this matter.

  • Issue with custom fields mapping from CRM to ECC.

    Hi all,
    I have issues with replicating custom fields in a Service order. I have created new fields with EEWB and EEWC. Now the structure has been changed in ECC and CRM. But i have to map this fields to correct structures. Also i need some logic to apply.
    But i have addressed in couple of threads about the custom function module as in user exit for FI generation.
    But i didnt understand the concept of this custom function module. why is this been used?
    Could anyone let me know with an good example on how this has to be acheived.
    Points are highly awarded.
    Kindly reply me.
    Thanks,
    Kiran...

    Hi,
    Here you go,
    After you create custom characteristics.
    1. Do Assign category.
    2. Map contents.
    3. Double check your master catalog has the mapped content.
    4. Publish master catalog.
    As per your message, you are not having any error message during import, which tells me that you are one step to close.

  • PS 2013 - Changing the formula in custom field not reflected in the report columns

    Hi,
    The company where I work have a Sharepoint environment / EPM 2013 with about seven hundred registered projects.
    We have a customer demand where it is necessary to change the formula of one of the custom fields of the environment. This field is used in some management reports made in Reporting Services and accessed by the entire board. The report uses as a source
    'MSP_EpmProject_UserView' view.
    The change in formula was simple, but we found that the change will not be reflected in the reports when the user saves the project in Sharepoint or publish the schedule associated with the Project.
    I believe this is the expected behavior of the EPM, but I wonder if there is some other way than through the PSI, to publish all environmental projects.
    Best regards,
    Armando Machado Gonçalves - Sharepoint / EPM 2013

    Hello,
    That is expected, it will not update until the project is open and republished. No automatic way to do this without automating project pro. Publishing all projects via the PSI wont cause the plan to recalculate, the plans will need to be opened.

  • Custom Field values are not saved. when MPP imported from another instance.

    Hello Mate-
    Currently I am merging one small instance (I2) of PWA in our corporate instance(I1). as the corporate instance is huge, we are doing manual merge of groups, securities, users, custom fields etc. also downloading the MPP as xml from I2 and then planned
    to publish from I1.
    There are few project level custom fields which are being used in MPP. and those fields may have formulas too.
    I created same custom field in crporate environment(I1) but while trying to open the projects in our corporate environment(I1), the project custom fields are gone.
    Could you please guide me here, I am lost. I can not do a data base migration ans it would override all data from I1 instance so need to do it manually.
    Many thanks
    Deb

    Hi
    You may not be able to do this as the custom field GUID's are different in both the instance.
    You may write a macro to copy the custom field data from one to another one

  • Creating an SQL Query for Project Custom Fields Values

    Hello:
    I'm currently trying to create an SQL Query to show all of the server's Project Custom Fields Values, along with the modification date.
    So far, I've managed to display correctly all of the data for all of the Projects' text value Custom Fields (those not based on a LookUp Table) with this query:
    SELECT
    MSP_PROJECTS.PROJ_NAME,
    MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS.MD_PROP_NAME,
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.CODE_VALUE,
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.TEXT_VALUE,
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.MOD_DATE
    FROM
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES
    INNER JOIN
    MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS
    ON MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS.MD_PROP_UID = MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.MD_PROP_UID
    INNER JOIN
    MSP_PROJECTS
    ON MSP_PROJECTS.PROJ_UID = MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.PROJ_UID
    WHERE
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.CODE_VALUE IS NULL
    ORDER BY
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.PROJ_UID,
    MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.MD_PROP_UID
    However, when I try a new Query to obtain the actual values for the Projects Custom Fields that do use a LookUp Table, I can't seem to find what table in the model I'm supposed to link to the MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.CODE_VALUE field (the TEXT_VALUE
    field has NULL value when CODE_VALUE field isn't NULL)
    Any suggestions on how to obtain the actual Projects' custom fields values instead of the Code Value, for Metadata that do use a LookUp Table?
    Also, I'm able to run this query only in the Published Database, since the MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS table is empy in the Draft Database. Why is that?
    Awaiting your kind reply,
    Sebastián Armas PMO Project Manager

    Hi Sebastián, rather than directly accessing the database it would be better to use the PSI to get this data.  Take a look at the ProjTool sample in the SDK whcih gets this data.
    Best regards,
    Brian.

  • Custom field in Create Bid Invitation..

    Hi,
       I have to add a custome field in the 'Create Bid Invitation - Find bid invitation - Extended Search screen. has anyone done this same scenario.
    john.

    hi,
    I dont think you can add custom field at the item overview level.
    There is nothing in standard for CUF in item overview.
    CUF are available in Header/item basic data, accounting and search screens, but nothing in item overview.
    The only workaround which i can see is to modify the HTML page in the Internet Service .
    You can try to use some standard field which stores the information you want to display (instead oc creating a custom field).e.g.If you want to display the Product CAtegory in addition to its description on the item overview screen(Table control),then you will have to find out the std field which stores the Prod category value.
    If the standard populates that field  with the info you require you'll not have to populate it yourself: so check it.
    Be careful to add this column as the last column in the Table control, as the template refers to column numbers for existing data.
    Then change the template  in order to manage the field display in the different cases (selection and display).
    DO NOT COPY STANDARD PROGRAM, or you will loose modification tracking during upgrade or SP applications.
    Be careful. The same HTML templates of the Internet Service are (shared) used for all the users. So be very sure in making changes to the standard HTML template and publishing those changes. Incase of shortdumps here, you need to go through each line in the Service to see the cause of the error(which might be as silly as missing a comma, bracket, period after a line). SAP dump analysis is not much help here.
    BR,
    Disha.
    Pls reward  points for useful answers.

  • Reporting on custom fields in Project 2013

    I have created custom fields in project 2013 i.e. renamed "cost 1", "text 1" etc. for the fields I require.  However when I go into reporting the fields are never there to select from.  The fields dont have formulas, a couple
    have look up tables but they are basic red/green/amber.  I just need to know how I get a custom field to appear in the right hand field list when selecting fields to report on?

    Hi MS713,
    We would need more details. Do you use Project Server or just MS Project standalone? Did you created the enterprise custom fields from PWA/server settings? Did you populate some values for some projects and publish the projects? What type of reports are
    you talking about? SSRS, OLAP Cube, Excel? Is it that you cannot see the custom fields or you see them but with no values?
    Hope this helps,

  • How to define a unique project level custom field in project server 2010?

    Hi every one;
    is it possible to define a unique project level custom field?
    our client wants to have a unique custom field( project code) which doesn't allow users to save and publish projects with the same value.
    for example if user A define a project and set "project code = 1" if user B define another project and wants to save "project code =1" for it, the server doesn't allow him to save this value and he has to change value for example to 2
    thanks for any help

    First of all you need to have Project server development environment also for coding visual studio hands on is required.
    To start with PSI (Project Server interface)you need to have Development Environment of Project Server 2010.
    you can get the overview from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ms457477(v=office.14).asp
    You
    can get the information about SDK: Download SDK.

  • Adding custom fields to ASN Screen

    We have a requirement to add few custom fields to the SNC ASN which can be filled by the Supplier through Web UI and later on publishing the same needs to be transmitted to the PI system through the DDN XML msg. My understanding is that the following enhancements would be required for the same:
    1. WEB UI enhancement to include the custom fields at the desired places in the screen (Eg. Trailer # under Shipping Details tab in ASN Details (supplier view) screen)
    2. Enhancement to the ODM strucuture to include the new fields
    3. Enhancement in the proxy structure to add the custom fields to the DDN XML generated and sent to PI.
    I found the following related docs in SDN, but still not able to understand the entire flow.
    a. UI Enhancements in SNC and SPP [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/208895d6-fef1-2c10-4086-fee29a29c29c]

    Can anyone explain in further detail on how this enhancement can be achieved by taking an example?

  • Custom field changes in Project 2010

    Is there a last-modified-date indicator in one of the databases to indicate when a custom field was changed? For example, I want to know when a custom field called project-phase (not workflow) has changed from one value to the next within a PDP.
    The purpose is to produce a report that indicates the progression of a project from one phase to the next (plan-analyze-design, etc.).

    this question is closed - but for what you asked for the basic query provided  gave you the custom field modified date which would be more precise then the project modified date -
    The below query will get you the information you want
    YOU put in the project GUID  OR the GUID of the Custom Field and this will return the tasks and project name it will also show you the difference (at least it did in my DB) the project modified data versus the task/custom field modified date which is
    also what you asked for...
    USE ProjectSevrerDraft
    SELECT
    mscf.MD_PROP_NAME as "Custom Field",
    mstcv.MD_PROP_ID as "MD PROP ID - can remove",
    proj.PROJ_NAME as "Project Name",
    proj.MOD_DATE as "Project Modified Date",
    mst.TASK_NAME as "Task Name",
    mstcv.CREATED_DATE as "Task Created Date",
    mstcv.MOD_DATE as "Task Modified Date"
    FROM MSP_TASK_CUSTOM_FIELD)VALUES mstcv
    JOIN MSP_PROJECTS proj
    ON mstcv.PROJ_UID=proj.PROJ_UID
    JOIN MSP_TASKS mst
    ON mstcb.TASK_UID=mst.TASK_UID
    JOIN [ProjectServerPublished].[dbo].[MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS] mscf
    ON mscf.MD_PROP_ID=mstcv.MD_PROP_ID
    -- You can select either below un-comment out the '--'
    -- And insert what you want - the project or Custom field
    -- GUID will help. The PROJ_UID is found under MSP_PROJECTS
    -- THE MD_PROP_ID is found under the published database in
    -- the MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS table
    --WHERE mstcv.PROJ_UID =' GUID OF PROJECT'
    --WHERE mstcv.MD_PROP_ID = 'GUID OF CUSTOM FIELD'
