Custom genres not saved

Hi,
I decided to replace the default "Classical" Genre by something more specific in my iTunes music collection but find that the changes are not saved in the database for existing titles. A number of new entries added since and assigned to the new custom genres are correct, and all custom genres added are also in the list; it is only with the older titles that the change of genres is not saved but always reset to "Classical" when I close the menu.
Apart from that I would have expected that I can also search the database by genre, but this is not the case.
I consider both of these issues, especially the first one, a bug. Is that the case or am I doing something wrong? I'm using iTunes 10.1 (54).

First thing:
Are you saying that if you modify a song's info and change the Genre it does not accept the change?

  • Custom Genre Not Showing Up In Apple's Music App [02/20/2015]

    Hello, I have the iPad mini 2 Model: A1489 16GB @ iOS 8.1.3
    I have made 2 custom genres that show up just fine in the Genres tab with every song belonging to these respectable genres. I also have 'Instrumental' and 'Piano' genres that I'm not sure if qualifies as custom genres, but they work well too.
    However, my latest custom genre 'A Cappella' is not showing up with the rest of the genres. The 1 album that I have for this genre shows up in the Albums tab and the songs show up in the Songs tab. The album also shows up after selecting the artist in the Artists tab, but does not show up in Genres.
    There are 2 songs in this genre, but they are my favorite and I want to be able to get to them quickly. ^.^
    The genre does show up in iTunes, Windows Media Player, and the Meta Data is all there when I look at the properties of the files. I can't seem to find out what other differences the working genres' and the non-working genre's songs have except that they have different genres.
    Every song on my Ipad has the same Artist. <<<<(If that helps....)

  • SRM 7.0 customer fields not saved in shopping cart

    Dear experts,
    I have created 2 fields using the fields extension in the customizing and set the metadata for them to be displayed. The fields are visible on screen. However when data enteres, this data is not being saved in the Shopping cart document.
    Any clues?
    Another question, which is a bit techno, is when i have extended the SC screen using the enhancement framework instead of using the standard extension options. i would have thought that by binding these fields to the standard header node with the custom fields as structure would have saved me the job of throwing data and fetching data from the table/bapi. This isn't working either. I reckon the problem will be related to issue #1 above.

    Hello Ali,
    did you extend both the structure INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC and INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF? It should be useful to define a custom structure that contains your fields and append it to both the structure named above. Then re-check if the metadata structure has been enhanced properly (in your case, view /SAPSRM/V_MDF_IC).

    EDIT: I was assuming you were intended to add new fields at item level. If your task is to add fields @ header level, simply substitute HEADER to ITEM in the structure's name.

  • GOS on custom program not saving links

    Hi all, I've just implemented GOS to a Z program following the instructions of a SDN contribution document called "How to attach documents to any custom program using GOS". I simply want to add GOS to the selection screen of the program in order to locat and store documentation regarding this Z program.
    I run the program and the GOS button is displayed, I add some link or document and then I display the list of attachments and everything seems to be working ok. So when I leave the program and run it again no list of attachments is available as this is greyed out. Anyone could help please.
    Steps I performed:
    I created the Business object saved and released to implemented with the following:
    Key -> programName (TRDIR-NAME)
    and redefined the GOSAddObjects method like this:

    You must add COMMIT WORK (AND WAIT or not) somewhere in your application (add a button that the user), or use CREATE OBJECT manager EXPORTING ... IP_NO_COMMIT = space or 'R' ... so that the COMMIT WORK will be done automatically by the GOS manager. Note: IP_NO_COMMIT = 'R' means that the service will start in its own LUW (using synchronous RFC).

  • Custom Instruments Not Saving

    I'm having an issue with GarageBand/Logic that just doesn't make sense to me.  I have several aiff files that I want to use as samples for a custom instrument.  I have followed the steps found here to the letter: http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/logic-pro/quick-and-easy-sampler-instruments-in-l ogic-pro-x, and just to make sure I wasn't doing something that can't be done I found this in the support docs: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12947, which basically says the same thing as the macprovideo article... Everything seems right.  I can play the new custom instrument from the Musical Typing Keyboard, I can even play the instrument through my MIDI keyboard.  Perfect.
    However...
    When I save the instrument everything looks the same way as discribed (everything to correct folders, etc.) if I close the project and exit the program, when I go back to use the"User Patch" in a new project, the patch has "magically" reverted back to the original sounds and all my sample assignments are gone.
    Am I missing something...  Doesn't this article say that once you've saved a custom instrument you can use it in other projects?

    on useless glitch filled logic, none of my instruments save.. ever. Ohh its wonderful. I save the instrument itself. Save the the project. It crashes, reopen, the custom instrument is there in user patches. but none of the sounds are on the keys.. Oooooh great.
    the "genius" at the "genius" bar were less than %0 helpful. They could hardly find where the folder the instruments were being saved to let alone address the actual problem.

  • PS CC 2014: Custom Workspaces Not Saving Palette Positions

    I generally have two Custom Workspaces: one for when I am working on a single monitor, and one when working with dual monitors. Unfortunately, when I create the second Custom Workspace, it saves the palette position to both of the workspaces. If I try to reset the first one, it saves that position to both. It kind of defeats the purpose of having them
    Details:
    Mac OS X 10.9.3
    Photoshop CC 2014 (20140508.r.58 x64)
    Everything is up to date.

    UPDATE:
    Fixed a very similar issue by deleting manually the custom workspace from my "workspaces" preferences folder,  but leaving in "workspaces (modified). See if this works for you

    Keep until: [I close Firefox ]
    When exiting Firefox and relaunching it, this settings is gone.
    and 'reset to [Remember history]
    Any suggestions as to how to solve this?

    Sorry, to reset firefox will require me to install a number of plug-ins.
    All my settings were lost.
    Luckely I created a backup using MozBackup.exe.
    Some add-ons can easily be re-installed, but what about stuff like Acrobat PDF creator and Norton Vulnerability Protection. I think those add-ons are installed when an application is installed, so it would require me to re-install such applicatons.
    Preferences not saved: nothing is write protected.

  • Data not saving in Custom Infotype

    Dear Experts,
    I have created a custom infotype, 9003, for this I creates a structure ps9003.
    And I have to create a primary key field in my infotype, so I added a field in PA9003 as key field.
    Now this key field was not coming in the infotype screen, so I added it using screen painter.
    But now when I save the data the data is not saved in this key filed.
    Please Suggest.

    As of my knowledge the primary key for the PA infotypes will be MANDT+PAKEY structure.  What is the need of adding the primary key.
    - While creating the custom infotype using PM01 screen will be automatically generated for the fields declared in PS structure
    - Screen Generation will wipe out the custom written on the fields so this is to be carefully handled.
    - if you added the field check logic in PAI & PBO
    - Check are you passing the data back to the infotye structure

  • Custom 2-week timecard layout not saving hours on 2nd Monday on 2nd row

    We have a custom timecard layout, based on the projects and payroll layout, that moves the comments from the details page to the front page after each day's hours field.
    It is working fine when used with a one-week timespan, but for 2 weeks, there is a strange problem. If you enter row 1 with no hours on the second Monday, then try to enter row 2 with hours on the second Monday, it will not save those hours. Instead, the hours are erased and the field blanked out.  It will save hours on other days, but not the second Monday.  Also, if you hit Continue, the hours are blanked out on the second Monday.
    Anyone else experienced this?

    Independently, I discovered the problem with the timecard. In the two week format, the second Monday hours input element had an ID of B2822, which was the same ID of the comments for the second Tuesday.
    The sequencing for the ids for the hours input fields is B2210 .. B2227, B2228, B2229 etc.
    The sequencing for the ids for the comments input fields is B2810, .. B2821, B2822, B2823, etc.
    It would appear in our case that when the timecard layout is generated, the second Monday on the second row gets an ID of B2822 when it should be B2228, which seems to be a typo somewhere.
    Once I understood the problem, following Ramu's suggestion that it was a known bug, I was able to search metalink using the search term 'OTL hours not saved' and found patch 6368806, which addresses a similar problem with a different layout. I will post an update if that patch resolves the problem.

  • When i attach workflow to document library, the custom columns data is not saving.

    Hi, i had created SharePoint designer workflow (send Email) for Document Library.
    I had created Custom columns like.
    "Employee Name" of type Person or Group  
    "Resume Type"  of type Choice 
    When i attach my workflow to document library, the columns data is not saved.
    It is just uploading resume, and sends email to the user groups, but data is not saved for custom columns. !.e "Employee Name" and "Resume Type".
    Any help will be appreciated.

    In SharePoint Document Library, first the document will be uploaded and then the metadata will be updated. So, in your workflow settings, select start workflow when item is changed instead of item is created and then try. 

  • Custom color palette not saving.  Why?

    Logic is not saving changes that I make to the color palette.  I can make the change, but after I quit and restart Logic, the changes are gone.  Any idea why?

    I've answered this question, but I cannot figure out what I've previously done wrong.  I managed to save the colours and get them to reload when I went back in to Logic. Not exactly sure how I did it, but it doesn't save automatically.

    I have implemented BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST for adding a tab and subscreen in PO.
    I have also implemented BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST for displaying screen elements.
    Everything is OK except it is not saving in the database through ME21N/ME22N.
    I have added append structure in EKKO, MEPOHEADER and added flag in MEPOHEADERX; tried many things in code but it is not saving.
    Please tell me if i am missing any step...

    I solved the probelm by mine. We have to create a Z table with the same structure like screen and also with EBELN.
    And save data in internal table TRANSPORT_TO_MODEL and read from internal table if entry saved in TRANSPORT_FROM_MODEL. (ME_GUI_PO_CUST)
    After that in ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST, implement in OPEN method, write code for selecting from Z table.
    Write code in POST method for saving in that Z table.
    Do not forget for all these excersies we have to use function module that will reside in same function group where the subscreen resides.

  • Customized Setting of External Applications are NOT saved if using templates

    We are using templates and on the template we have put the "External Application" portlet .
    Now if normal user tries and customize this portlet then these settings are not saved.
    Like user want's to see only 2 applications so he checks only 2 applications but these settings are not saved and portal still shows 5 applications to that user.

    I haven't seen this problem. Please report it to Oracle Support.

  • Selectable map not saved in fillable PDF form file

    Hi all, I have a problem with a document (it's a book for children) which has been created using InDesign CS6 on Macintosh. I need to make a fillable form (which is not a problem) and I have applied the "Extended Features for Acrobat Reader". I guess the client uses Acrobat Reader for Windows.
    The problem comes when the client asks me to include a map where the pupils can select the countries, and that I have solved using buttons that show/hide these countries. It works fine, but when the client fills the form and saves the document, the map doesn't save the selected fields.
    How can I make it work properly? I also tried creating a "SAVE MAP" button, but unfortunately, Acrobat only applies this feature to the current state when I create the document, NOT when the client clicks on this "SAVE MAP" button. Is there another solution, please?
    And there's still more... In another page, the pupils must select 5 words, and the problem remains the same... the selected fields are not saved.
    I hope I've explained myself correctly, I know it's a bit confusing.

    If you will be adding up the mileage reimbursement amounts you might need to round the result of the calculation to 2 decimal places and that will require a custom JavaScript calculation. Using unrounded values can result with an answer that does not add up to the displayed value.
    Using the simplified field notation also requires that field names meet a very specific format. The field names need to start with an alphabetic character and it cannot have any white space character in the name unless some additional coding is done. These restrictions are a result of processing the formula string with JavaScript and how the data string is parsed for processing.
