  • Withholding tax settings

    Hello Friends,
With respect to withholding tax settings i have a query.
In the IMG menu there is withholding tax setting available under Financial Accounting >Financial Accounting Global Settings and also availalbe under Financial Accounting >Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Business Transactions>Incoming Invoices/Credit Memos>Carry Out and Check Settings for Withholding Tax.
Can any one please tell what is the difference between these two.
The helptext at the nodeCarry Out and Check Settings for Withholding Tax says
You can make new settings for withholding tax here, or check existing settings:
If you have already made settings for withholding tax in the "Financial Accounting Global Settings" Implementation Guide, you can check that those settings are correct here.
If you have not yet made any settings, you can do so here.
As per the above point 1 in the help text what ever setting we do in "Financial Accounting Global Settings" should be availalbe here for viewing or editing. But this is not the case.
Is it that the settings in "Financial Accounting Global Settings" and "Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable"
are for different purposes ? If yes where.
    thanks & regards

    Hi Mauri,
Thanks for the reply that in deed helped me in understanding.
Can it be said that in the earlier versions where classic withholding tax was only available the customization settings options were availabe in both these nodes, wherein these settings can be done from anywhere.
But in case of extended withholding tax all the cusotmizations will be done at one place i.e., in Financial Accounting Global Settings.
    Thanks

  • Customs Duty Tax Code

    Hi,
How To define customs duty tax code. The code breakup goes as follows
Customs Duty on Assessable value                     = 10%
CVD on (Assessable value + 10% Custom Duty) = 10%
Edu Cess on CVD                                                  = 2%
HSE Cess on CVD                                                 = 1%
Edu Cess on Customs Duty                                   = 2%
HSE Cess on Customs Duty                                  = 1%
Additional Duty (on Imports)                                  = 4% (on total value i.e. assessable value + all above)
    Regards,
    Mansoor.

    Hi Mirza....
If you know how to define a normal tax code then you can create custom duty tax code also. You need to know on which amount how much %age of tax is applied.
Say, Custom duty has 7 main Components.
Customs Duty on Assessable value = 10%
CVD on (Assessable value + 10% Custom Duty) = 10%
Edu Cess on CVD = 2%
HSE Cess on CVD = 1%
Edu Cess on Customs Duty = 2%
HSE Cess on Customs Duty = 1%
Additional Duty (on Imports) = 4%
In Order to define tax code please refer this thread.

  • Vertex Tax

    Hi Every body,
    I am a core-techy.
I need to implement vertex tax. Can any body please help me to find out some document regarding that.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravan.

    Paul,
I read your problem and most likely there is addtional configuration that may need to change depending on the details of your SAP and Vertex deployment.  You can reach me at Vertex to discuss this issue.  Some addtional details about which version of SAP, which product and version from Vertex, how it is deployed, etc will be some of the items we can discuss.  As an example, this could be a memory issue and you need to enable more listeners....sometimes this happens when the RFC gateway can't keep with the responses from the external system.  Kevin Toner

  • Uploading Customer Master Tax Groupings

    Hi,

    Please advice.

    What is LSMW?
LSMW is a workbench which gives you 4 different options to import data to SAP.
Just saying I use LSMW is no qualified info.
but because you are just saying LSMW I can assume that you refer to recording, as this seems to be the only thing that is known by freshers.
If you recorded your transaction, then you should have realized that the first screen looks different to the normal transaction.
I am always get curious when I see screens that I have not seen before and try to get used to any fact that can be seen on that screen and I use F1 for any field that is different to the screen of the online transaction  which I know well.
You should have seen there a small box for "use central address management"
And only if this is ticked then you can the interface to the ADR* tables
without activation of this box you actually operate like it was done before 4.0 release of SAP.
I actually load my central address data with BAPI method.

  • Customizing for LCA Settings /SAPAPO/OM_CUSTOMIZE

    Hi,
With abap /SAPAPO/OM_CUSTOMIZE you can do some live cache settings. One option is to compress DP time series.
Does anybody know what happens when you switch on this setting?
I have found this report via transaction /sapapo/om00.
    thanks for your response
    Jean Vroemen

    Hello Jean Vroemen,
-> As you know, the report /SAPAPO/OM_CUSTOMIZE has title "Customizing for LCA Settings".
This report is used for the customizing some LCA parameters. The settings could be recommended
by the LCA developers only, if it's needed. Please don’t change any of the LCA customizing
parameters if you was NOT advised from SAP LCA development support to do so !
-> The flag "compress DP time series" defines the storage format of time series in DP.
The LCA development introduced this flag in release SCM 5.0, but this flag is still a project
for pilot customers only in SCM 5.0.
If you have interest to participate in this project, please create the ticket to the component
'BC-DB-LCA', the status of the system SPs stack need to be checked & DP application scenario
         reviewed first.
As of SCM 5.1 this flag set by default for storing time series data to the compressed format.
And the report /SAPAPO/OM_CUSTOMIZE run in SCM 5.1 will have the unchecked box for the
LCA customize-parameter "Non-Compressed Store for DP Time Series".
Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina

  • Custom Soft Proof Settings....

Hi....I'm looking for a way to save and load custom soft proof settings in AiCS4. The Adobe help docs say this is possible:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Illustrator/14.0/WS218910C1-B8D3-450b-AC31-9E6EA50C2BAD.html
...but my custom soft proof dialog doesn't give me the options. I'm wondering if it's possible.
    Illustrator CS4 v14.0.0
    Thanks,
    Carl Stawicki

Well I re-did the monitor profiles with PMP 5 and got  the same results - toggling Soft Proof on and off (Cntrl-Y) displayed a darker/yellow image when on.
Then I re-profiled both monitors with i!Match (I profiled the lesser, an HP-TFT display, and then matched the NEC IPS to it) and now Soft Proof works as it should.
Why did PMP 5 do this?
I ran PMP 5 on another Dell with a Dell monitor to see if I had overlooked some step or setting that was crucial and nothing leaped out at me.
This makes me wonder if I can depend on any profile from PMP 5.

  • Migration manager forgets to import custom IAC channel settings

it looks after "migrating settings" from 10.5.8 to 10.6 that the Migration manager forgets to import custom IAC channel settings.
cananybody tell me where they are stored and which files i would have to manually copy or do i have to re-create those IAC channels by hand?
    thanks for any input...

    Hi
The value of the Channel Strip volume etc is not stored within the C Strip setting, as you have discovered.
If you really wanted, you could add a Gain plug to the strip, with it set to give the correct output level with the Fader set to 0
(Or just set the fader manually in MS)

  • Is there a way in Final Cut Pro 7 to save custom Batch Export settings?

Is there a way in Final Cut Pro 7 to save custom Batch Export settings?

Don't think so.  Years ago, I seemed to figure out a way in an earlier version of fcp, but when I tried to recreate it, I couldn't make it work.
You can send to compressor and save custom presets there.

  • Disable Vertex Tax Jurisdiction Code Validation & RFC Call

We want to disable calling vertex for tax jurisdiction code in some cases based on sales org & division.  For a small business unit we are using SAP ECC 5.0 SD module to create customers & sales orders.  These orders are placed via a external non-SAP front-end and are entered into SAP via a BAPI/RFC create customer & create sales order call.  The front-end calculates all the prices and tax and passes that to SAP via the BAPI call.  SAP accepts the prices & tax as-is (due to how we've configured SAP for these types of orders) and does not recalculate price or tax.  However, on SAP we have external tax configured to call Vertex Q Series via Translink which we currently use to determine jurisdiction code & sales tax for other business units & for use tax.  This external non-SAP front-end does not have any address validation therefore the addresses we receive are not always good (ex. they abbreviate or mis-spell cities, etc...) and therefore when saving customer or order addresses via the BAPI calls we receive errors from SAP indicating that the tax jurisdiction code can not be determined.  In these cases we want to NOT call Vertex for automatic tax jurisdiction code check and allow SAP to accept a state level jurisdiction code that we can pass (ex. Minnesota's is 2400000000).  How can we turn off the call to Vertex for tax jurisdiction code check?  Apparently we can use SAP user exit EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001 include ZXFYTU03 but what is the ABAP code to turn this call off for specific sales org & division?
    Regards,
    Jeff

    Hi,
You can create the custom tables with the same fields on Vertex and maintain those tables with the same values.
You can comment the section of RFC call and add your own validations.
    Hope this helps.

    Kranthi

  • Vertex tax information does not come back to SAP

Strange problem that we are having.
We have a situation where the taxes calculated back from Vertex somehow does not come back to the billing document upon billing document creation.  However, this problem seems to be rare and intermittent, but happens regardless.
The problem doesn't seem to be configuration because billing documents for the same customer and material are successfully calculated for tax. Also, if the incorrect billing document is re-billed, the taxes come in correctly.  I already checked VK13 to make sure that all the condition types are coming in correctly.
Also, Vertex seems to have been able to receive the parameters that is used for calculating the tax as the Vertex log shows that the tax information was calculated correctly, but for some reason, this tax does not make it back to the billing doc.
Has anybody had this problem with Vertex?
    Thanks
