  • DRQ : Customer / Vendor ref. no. duplication check

    Hi Expert,
    At present Customer / Vendor ref. no. duplication check is perform on all documents (e.g. A/R Invoice / A/P Invoice)
    Where as I believe it should be performed Customer / Vendor wise.
    The reason is simple, say in a new year all customer / vendor will generate their respective A/R invoice OR A/P invoice starting from 1. So verifing it accross the documents seems sence less. If is verified that whether the same Customer / Vendor 's same document is entered earlier or not then it makes sence.

  • Duplication checking

    Hello gurus!
    Is there anybody who used ADDRESS_SEARCH and ADDRESS_UPDATE badies for duplication checking?
    Could you provide me with roadmap (code samples, descriptions) how to use them? My case: Business Partner duplication check by name and telephone number.
    I have read next document, but unfortunately this field is still unclear for me.

    Hello Krill,
    1)You are creating a BP,category Organization  and saved it.
    2)You have activated those BADI'S that you've mentioned(Address_search,Address_Update) what happens is the sytem will carry out a duplicate check based on certain threshold values that you have mentioned in the customizing.(a dialogue box pops up indicating all possible duplicates)
    3)You can tell the system that the BP you are trying to create is not a duplicate,
    its duplicate, or you can create a cleansing Case.
    4)Using BUPA_CLEAR, you can manually search for duplicates, enter the weighing factor, select the process (Note you can manually do the cleansing process of Automatically.
    5)Execute the BT and drag and drop the BP you want to cleance.
    6)In the transction enter BUPA_CLEAR enter the cleansing case number.
    7)Compare the BP for a node comparision.
    8)Maintain the number range for Data Cleansing. in CA>SAP BP>Data Cleansing
    9)enter the Numebr range object.
    10)Define Priorities.
    11)Activate Duplicate cleansing.
    12)Remember we need to make settings in the BAS(Business Address Service)
    which is integrated with the SAP Regional Structure, which has to be populated with data either manually(administration overhead is a constraint, or using a Program), Activate Duplicate check index pools.(SAP Web application server)
    13)use Transaction SM30
    14) display table /SMBCRM/TSAD10
    15) this is where you find all the tables.
    Finally If your BADIS(Address_Search and ADDRESS_UPDATE) will work accordingly and they only provide an interface for  a third party application to come in to contact and do the actuall work. they are defenitely helpless without an external application. Check with SAP for the list of 3rd Party tool available.

  • Customer NSF checks

    One of our customers recently converted from Sage BusinessWorks (BW) to SAP Business One.  In most areas, the functionality improvement has been substantial.  However, the processing of customer NSF (non-sufficient funds) checks has been disappointing.  I've reviewed some of the other threads about returned checks on the Community Network, but none seems to offer a good overall solution to the problem.  I'm hoping someone might suggest another approach.
    In BW, if a customer's check bounces because of non-sufficient funds, the user goes into the AR section, enters the customer code and the customer check number, and can void it.  This reopens the invoice(s) paid with the check to the original date (so that the aging is correct), debits the AR account, and credits cash to match the bank statement.
    There is no need to undo an entire bank deposit, create another invoice which mis-state revenues, and the bank reconciliation is still valid.  It's all very easy in BW, but not so in SAP Business One, especially if bank deposits contain more than single customer checks.
    Has anyone else struggled with this, and perhaps found a better solution?

    I do not take credit for this - it is a solution from Vision33 - the company we use for our implementation and who up keeps our SAP Business One.  We are pretty happy with the services we receive from them. 
    Tips and Tricks: How to Record NSF Checks
    In SAP Business One, there are two options for recording NSF checks.
    Option 1:
         · Open the deposit form, right-click, and select Cancel. This will reverse the deposit
              process, credit the bank account, and debit the checks clearing account.
         · Now you can cancel the Incoming Payment that applies to this check. This will credit
              the checks clearing account, debit the customer, and reopen the invoice.
         · When the customer sends a new check, simply create a new incoming payment
              based on the original invoice.
    Option 2:
         · This option applies when canceling the deposit is not an option because there are
              multiple checks in the same deposit.
         · Create a new incoming payment; this time, it will be a payment on account, and the
              check amount will be negative.
         · Deposit the check into the bank account. This transaction will reverse the original
              deposit transaction, credit the bank account, and debit the checks clearing account.
         · When the customer sends a new check, create a new incoming payment and apply
              the negative incoming payment you created earlier.
    I have personally used Option 2 and do not have a problem when we received the repayment.  You can always reference the invoice number on the Journal Entry under Ref 1, 2 or 3.

    Hello to you all,
    In vendor master record you can flag the checkbox "Check Flag for Double Invoices or Credit Memos" this flag activate Invoices Duplication Check in Logistics documents and in FI documents separately,
    Meaning I can enter the same invoice twice, As a Logistics document and by mistake as a FI document again.
    Does anyone know how can I prevent it using standard customization?

    In my project for BP Duplicate check  i have activated Trex Settings.
    The duplication Check is based on only Address of the BP. But my we need to check duplication based on Pan number given in Identification Tab.
    Can we check duplication based on Pan number? If yes help us.

    For duplication badi ADDRESS_SEARCH is available. You can try implement additional logic in method IF_EX_ADDRESS_SEARCH~ADDRESS_SEARCH.

  • Duplication check for Lead and Contact

    Hi,
    Can i confirm that, there is no duplication check for Lead and Contact during the new reacord adding?
    I also realise that during the Lead convertion, CRMOD also never check for duplication even i have existing contact available?
    Is there anyway for us to activate the duplication check during the Lead convertion?

    System can check duplicate if you add external id for record (Lead and Contact).

  • Order Duplication check

    Hi Experts,
    we have a requirement to have Order duplication check for all the Orders we recieve as IDoc(ORDERS05).
    And when we get a duplicated order, we need to stop the process (sales order creation) and report the error.
    Can you please suggest on how to acheive the above requirement.

    When u check and find out tht the given order being processed is a duplicate, then you can change the status of the IDOC to 51.. this will raise an error.. and the irder wil not be created in ur system.

  • Archiving of Delivery documents -Customer specific check

    Dear All,
                While we are trying to create a routine for customer specific check in archiving delivery docs, we encounter the following error.
    <h3>In the program SDCLVOFM, for Class RELK related to deliveries, we are trying to copy the standard routine 001 (SD_LIKP_SAP_1) for carrying out the necessary changes.</h3>
    However the system does not allow us to copy due to the fact that the routine does not have any CODE whithin the routine. This is really strange, being a standard SAP object.
    Also we cross verified this witht he report SDINVOFM for the same class and the standard routine 001. By doing so we found that he ABAP code is missing for this routine.
    Request your inputs for activating this Routine and inputing the required code / copy the routine.

  • Custom ATP Check

    Hello All
    We have custom ATP(Material Check) functionality built in ECC. And we are in position to use this custom FM to carrier out ATP in CRM and show some additional information on the Order.
    Please advice on the following:
    1. Should we have disable the standard ATP configuration in CRM since we have a custom logic built in ECC
    2. Is their any BADI available for carrying custom ATP check(regardless of Configuration) and bring additional data from ECC?
    3. How can we use standard fields that holds Confirmed Quantity and date to hold the same data but from custom ATP FM

    Yes. I am planning to make expilict call to ECC.
    <If you are not big on any integration benefits that might come with the standard, you can as well "disable" the standard call.
    There is no BAdI for what you are asking for. But still try CRM_AV_CHECK_R3_01 and CRM_AV_CHECK_FC_01*
    Once you have got the values from your custom RFC, check BAdI - CRM_SCHEDLIN_BADI >
    I checked this BADI CRM_AV_CHECK_R3_01 but it looks to me that this has the capability to change only the Destination.
    I am unsure about this badi CRM_AV_CHECK_FC_01* and when this would be called during the Order Processing.
    Could you please let me know more details about the badi CRM_SCHEDLIN_BADI ?
    I need to save custom obtained Confirmed Quantity and Date(from RFC) into the standard fields.

    I am assuming that you are creating the Customer in MDM and then syndicating the same to ECC System.
    You can create a Matching strategy in MDM considering fields such as 'Customer Name', 'Address' etc depending upon your requirement
    While creating the customer in MDM, you can run this matching strategy during Workflow.

    Once you have identified that a record is duplicate or not in MDM, you can have a field populated by the Master Data Creator indicating the system that if that customer is duplicate of not. And based on this field using branch step(of Workflow) only syndicate records from MDM to ECC which are not duplicate.
    Thus you will be able to prevent duplicate records in Customer Master in ECC.

    Iam facing a big challenge in trying to process a Customer reservation check in ,check out process for guest houses and Hotel properties for my client using RE-FX functionality.I have already defined a room using the architectural view and used the customer rights of use contract for the process. The challenges are , iam failing to pick up the room from the contract when assigning it in the contract on the object tab page
    2 whether also the particular contract i have picked up is the correct one for this business process.

    Hi David,
    In order to use any rental object in a contract you have to ensure following;
    1. Rental object is created in usage view. Here if you have architectural object then you can assign this with Rental object.
    2. Rental object is permitted for your required contract type.
    This way you can pick your object from Object tab in contract.

        I have a question, if we create a custom authorization then, whether this custom authorization is checked or not.

    There is no difference in the coding of the check, which as RJ has stated needs to be somewhere at the correct coding location... otherwise it is going no where.
    Some special differences are:
    - The object class of the custom object in SU21 => Authorization objects in HR cannot be deactived context specifically in SU24. You can create custom objects within SAP classes.
    - Depending on the transport type of your system, you will have to maintain transaction SU24 with a check indicator for the object - so make in known that the transaction has the capability to check the object. This does not affect "customer" systems, but is still a very good practice for the same reason that SAP forces it in their own development systems.
    - Additional object checks in SE93 (which are typically "plausibility" checks) are not subject to this restraint. The check is always there, and your ability to bypass it is limited if you check the tcode authority of the caller at initialization of the (called) coding context. CALL TRANSACTION will skip this check, unless the called transaction is sy-tcode already (as it is in variant transactions... which urban legends claim to be secured to use for CALL TRANSACTION).
    This concept is to a large extent influenced by SAP's own development guidelines and "settings" - but it is advisable to understand them and the intended authorization concept - to be able to create consistent customer implementations of SAP products.
    Of course there are exceptions to the rules... but they generally cause problems and sooner or later need to be corrected as well when the auditors get hold of them....

    More then two Characterstics for service in warranty master  are not displaying in my warranty check when i try to check the warranty for serial numbers.what i have done is
    1.Create Characterstics as numeric value.
    2.Define warranty counter in customizing.
    3.Define new Customer Master warranty and assign these Charaterstics to service.
    Only two line items are displayed in my warranty check

    My warranty counter is time dependent it means that i dont have to use measuring point  and measuring document based on the following SAP help :
    "There are time-dependent and performance-dependent warranty counters:
    The indicator for time-dependence is set in Customizing, then the warranty counter is time-dependent. In this case, you must create a characteristic of the same name, which has a unit of the u201Ctimeu201D dimension, in the class system.
    The system can use this to determine from the warranty start date and the value that was stored in the master warranty for this counter, whether the counter check is still valid for the key date."
