Customer master restriction in Marketing document.........

Dear All,
I have defined customer master along with the sales employee for respective customers in BP master data.
These sales employees are company's employees defined in HR module.
Scenario is as follows:
Whenever sales employees login through his ID and creates marketing document like sales quotation or order he must see only the customers or lead which are mentioned against his name in master.
He must not be permitted to select  customer of other sales employee.
How can i restrict this sales employee....?
Solution will be highly appreciated.....

  • Custom Master Page issue with Document Set Libraries

Details: Publishing site using SharePoint 2013.  The SharePoint is on my company's servers.
Have a custom Master page that has a navigation banner (built with HTML/CSS/javascript).  The site has it applied successfully to the "Site Master Page" but when I also apply it to the "System Master Page", the libraries that have
Document Set type content do not show the files within.   We'd like to be successful in applying to the "System Master Page" as that allows the banner to show when an actual library is accessed.    Any suggestions, please?

Thanks. I've been experimenting with this for a few days now, and there's lots I don't understand about why and such, but your process above works. That's a big load off me right now and I really appreciate it. I'm going to be able to survive the initial
roll-out and implementation of the new site. Going forward, I've got lots to learn and find out, I've already heard that there's a desire to really redesign the master page for the site and subsites, way beyond the little CSS customization I did. Fun.
If you've got a little time though, perhaps you can provide some explanation. If not, no problem.
On step 6, when I do as you detail, click the System Master Page and reset all the subsites, it seems to work fine with my custom master page. If I do that with the Site Master Page settings, my custom page causes the redirect issue in the subsites again.
This is whether I do the Site Master Page by itself, or in conjunction with the System Master Page settings. If I revert back to the Seattle master page in the Site Master Page settings and my custom pate in the System Master Page, the issue goes away again.
It is completely messing with my head, trying to figure out why that would be, and this is all beside trying to figure out why adding the one little CSS reference to the Seattle master to create my master page breaks things (sometimes!).
Just fyi, what I've ended up with for now is pulling my custom master page out of the system and using the Alternate CSS URL to add my custom CSS to the Seattle master page on the sites. As I thought about all this, I decided I didn't want to leave the breakable
custom page out there for some unsuspecting site manager to accidentally pick and get everyone screaming about the broken sites.
    Thanks again,
    Steven

  • Customer Master - Restrict Acess at Field Level

    Hi,
I have a requirement where in the customer master I need to restrict access to a field to 2 users. Only these 2 users should be able to edit this specific field. For all other users, this field should be read-only. This is for both VD01 and VD02. How can this be achieved?
    Thanks in advance.
    GA

    Hi,
I think you can achieve this through authorization; means you can give only display access for the users whom you don't want to edit the customer master.
I am not very sure if you can restrict the edit access for other users only for two fields which you are talking about.

  • Custom master data for Sales Document Number

Is it possible to create master data for "sales document number" as a custom field and/or table in R/3?  We have a need to record the "end user" customer of an order but this data may be updated a long time after the order and sale is complete.  IT seems that loading to BW/BI may be simpler if this is treated as document attributes rather than transactional data since no delta will be trigger by changes to this field.  Does anyone have experience with this approach?

    Hi,
it is possible to create attributes for this InfoObject. Add the Attributes you need in BW. You can use the attributes even if the sales doc is line item dimension of your cube.
On Sourcesystem side you have to create a generic extractor in SBIW. I think a table view on VBAK or VBAP may fullfill your needs. Of course the tables are not the smallest ones but maybe u can use the timestamp to implement a generic delta. Check whether the timestamp is set when the 'end user' is set. Not every change in the sales document leads to an entry in the delta queue of logistic, but the timestamp should be set.
After that replicate the datasource to BI and connect it to the attributes of 0SALES_DOC
I had a similar enhancement at one customer reading the actual transport routes to the sales documents and it worked fine.
    Hope that helps

  • Regarding Text in Customer Master

    Dear All,
How does text maintained in the customer master gets copied in the sales document. What are the configuration settings one shoul maintain for the same.
    Regards
    Atul

In VOTXN you have to do the following
    - Text object customer, press bullet Sales & Distribution
    - Press button text types.
    - You see that you can create a text ID for object KNVV, create one.
    - Go back and press button change, you are now in the text det. procedure for customer
    - If there is no procedure, create one.
    - You have to assign your procedure to a group (eg. sold to party, ship to etc.)
    - Now you have to go into the text id's in the textprocedure and add your newly created object
    - When you brach to your customer, you will see your object.
    - In VOTXN again, you have to create also a text determination for your sales document.
    - You have to create a new text id for what you want to see in your sales document, so follow the steps like for the customer master, but now you make a text object of type VBBK
    - Next, you have to branch to the bullet sales and distribution header - change.
    - If there is no text determination available, you have to create a text procedure and add the text id with VBBK in this procedure.
    - Now to determine that you have to copy the text from the customer master to the sales document header, you need to create an access sequence. Make one and branch to accesssequence for text id's.
    - Add in this acces sequence your newly created text ID (type KNVV)
    - Go back to the text ID's in Textprocedure and add the accessequence for your ID.
    - You can influence your behaviour (mandatory or that a popup is shown during sales order entering)
    - Last thing assign your created procedure to the sales document type you want this to work for.
    Hope this helps.

  • How will i configure partner determination for customer master

how will i configure partner determination for customer master data.

    hi
    Check this
    BUSINESS PARTNERS AND PARTNER DETERMINATION
In the partner determination procedure you can determine whether partner functions can or should occur in a partner object (Customer Master, Sales Document, Item Category etc.) For each object, in which partner function can be created, you can define partner procedures. This also means that
    For Customer Master
    For Sales Documents
For Sales Documents and Billing Documents: for items
We can define our partner determination procedure for each of these levels as shown below. In Blue are given the ones wherein the Partner Procedures are assigned to the Partner Objects
    Customer Master Account Group
Sales Document Header Sales Document Type
Sales document Item Item Category in sales
    Delivery Delivery Type
    Billing Header Billing Type
    Billing Item Billing Type
    Sales Activity Sales Activity type
By assigning a procedure you determine for which account groups (for the customer master), which sales document types (for sales documents) and for which item categories this procedure would be valid.
In the partner determination procedure you can determine for each partner function
whether the partner function is an obligatory partner function
whether the partner function can be changed in the document
    BUSINESS PARTNER FUNCTION
By assigning a business partner function to a partner you can determine which functions the partner fulfils in the business process. Partner Functions are classified using partner type. The partner type represents the roles played by the business partner within the business transaction.
Following partner functions exist in the standard process of Sales and Distribution
    Partner Type Customer
Sold-to Party, Ship-to Party, Bill-to Party, Payer and Sold-to Party authorized to release against a contract. You can define the sold-to party authorized to release against a contract in the partner screen of a contract. This partner may only schedule orders with reference to this contract, even when he is not the sold-to party authorized against a contract.
    Partner Type Contact Person
Contact persons are natural persons whom you must contact at the customers for business processing (e.g. purchasers) Contact person can be created directly in customer master record.
    Partner Type Vendor
A forwarding agent is an example of a business partner on the credit side, who is included in a sales process. If you commission a particular forwarding agent for deliveries to a specific customer, you can define the forwarding agent in the customer master record as the partner.
The other possible partner functions on the credit side in the sale process are interpreters, auditors etc. The forwarding agent is an agent who performs transportation services. This includes organizing the shipment, delivery and receipt of the goods, arranging the carrier services and handling the customs issues.
    Partner Type Personnel
    Employee Responsible
    Sales Personnel
You can enter an employee from your firm as the person responsible:
In the Customer Master – If the employee is normally responsible for processing transactions with this customer.
In the Sales Document – If the employee is responsible for processing the Business Transaction.
STEP WISE PROCESS FOR PARTNER DETERMINATION PROCEDURE
Sales and Distribution->Basic Functions->Partner Determination->set Up Partner Determination->Set up Partner Determination for Customer Master.
First go to OVT0 – create customer account groups. Here you make new entries, click whether it is a one time customer, description. Also you can do the field selection here for general data, co. code data and sales area data.
Now go to IMG – logistics general – business partner – customers – control – define & assign customer number ranges define the number. Here you range that you want and assign it to your customer account group.
Now go to VOPA – here the selection will be on customer master, click on partner procedures, create the partner determination procedure. The following steps need to be done in partner determination area
Assign partner function to account group i.e SP,SH, BP, PY to account group (debit side ). Sales and Distribution->Basic Functions->Partner Determination->Assign Partner Functions on the debit side to account Groups.
    Then create Partner Determination Procedure.
Assign the Partner Determination Procedure to Partner Function.
Then finally assign the Partner Determination Procedure to acc group.
Important Points in Business Partners and Partner Determination Procedure
Partner relationship maintained/defined in the customer master is proposed automatically in the document header when you create a sales document.
In customizing we can decide whether several partners can be assigned to one partner function in the customer master.
In sales documents, the system is configured so that only one partner can be assigned to each partner function.
We can define partners at item level in the sales documents.
Business Partners that are defined at the header level however cannot be changed at the item level.
You can prohibit anyone from changing a partner that has already been entered in a sales document.
It is also possible to manually change or enter the address of a partner, such as the Ship-to Party. This change does not affect the master record.

  • Customer Master Data - Validation / Substitution Rule

Is there a way to perform a validation / substitution rule in the customer master data?
Eg: In customer master, payment history checkbox is a required field so the user will always have to tick the checkbox when creating a customer master.
Question: how to make this payment history checkbox defaulted to tick so that user don't have to manually tick it themselves when creating customer master.
Is there a validation / substitution that can be performed in customer master because in accounting document, we will be able to perform the validation/substitution.

    Hi
You could potentially use a BADI to substitute the data.  IMG > Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Customer Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data > Adoption of Customer's Own Master Data Fields > Business Add-In: Customer Subscreens
You'd need to get an ABAPer to code the change in the relevant Method.

  • Filtering Item, Customer and Supplier data on Marketing Documents

My client has 7 franchises under one umbrella, so as their item, customer and vendor masters will be at one place in SBO. But their requirement is when specific franchise person work on marketing documents, could only be able to access its respective master data in LOV's. I filtered it through formatted search and filtering in LOV's as well but he/she can access others master data. Can anybody tell me any workaround for it?
    Thanks & regards

    Hi there!
I am exactly in the same situation. Did you get some answers or did you find any solution about the filtering data and marketing documents?
I try to filter some data like BP (OCRD), Sales Marketing documents & Opportunities by using the SlpCode from the OSLP table.
I have to do as well a link between the login used and the slpcode.
I have to do a global like by using the table OUSR (user) (link between login and slpcode).
    Any advice?
    Best regards,

  • Authorisation restrictions on Customer Master

    Hello all,
Within our organisation there is a request to restrict user access to certain views of the customer master.  For example : one group of users are able to create/maintain address and control information, and another group of users are only allowed to maintain the marketing view for example.
I have tried using field groups by assigning fields of certain views to the field groups and then creating a new role and assigning the field group value to object F_KNA1_AEN.  I have to say this has not been very successful.
    Any ideas?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  By the way we are using version 4.6c.
    Thank you
    Melanie

    Hi Melanie,
    Scenario-
I have faced similar issue as you. Our requirement was to give authorize marketing department to only extend the customer master but authority to create customer must be with Finance department.
    Solution-
I have given Authorisation of XD01 to Marketing department and deactivated General data and company code data form the authorisation object.
    Result-
Unless customer number exists marketing  department cannot do anything with customer master (cannot extend the customer) and only finance dept has created General and company code data Marketing dept will be allowed to extend the customer master.
    I hope it helps.
Note: We are currently using ECC 6.0

  • Restrict the creation of customer master records at sales area level

I know that you can supress fields at the company code and sales area level in customer master, but, is there a way in configuration to restrict the creation of a customer master record at the company code and sales area levels?  Only the general data level is needed for this customer account group.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi
Create the Customer Master without entering the Company Code and sales Area. The system will allow and ask you to fill only the General Data.
The other way is that Create a Account Group and suppress its all Fields of Accounting View and Sales Area View, so that for that account group you will have to maitain only the General view.

  • Customer Master - Sales text copy to Sales Document Header

    Hello,
I have properly configured the text types, access sequences, and text procedures to take text from the Customer - Sales & Distribution and copy to the Sales Document Header.  After testing this in my DEV system, everything is working appropriately.
I have transported these changes to my QA system, all transports went through successfully.  All configuration is now the same between my DEV and QA systems, and the access sequences are recognized in both systems via the TTXERN table.
All changes were made using transaction VOTXN.
The problem is that when performing my test in QA, the text is not copied from the Customer Master - Sales Area text to the Sales Document Header text.  When going to the Text Determination Analysis view, it states 111 - Access Sequence does not exist.  When selecting Customizing, it clearly shows that the access sequences do exist.
Has anyone encountered this issue?  I have checked SAP notes but have not found a proper resolution for this issue.

Also check OSS Note 581779 - Text determination analysis: Access sequence does not exist.

  • Change documents for created for Customer Master

An existing program makes changes to the Customer master table KNA1. The changes are made at the table level using the UPDATE command. Since the changes are being made at table level, the change documents are not created.
I need to create IDocs for all changes. So the question is, how to create change documents for changes to the particular fields being UPDATEd in the report program.
I understand that a BDC program on XD01 screen should have been the best way for this, but I'm here to break-fix and trying to identify solutions with least development effort.

    Hi ganadeep,
When an application makes any changes to an object it wrties change documents which are stored in the table CDHDR and CDPOS for each change made.
BDCP table holds the change pointers which point to the change documents in the  CDHDR table.
