Customer - SO document type one to one relation.
Hi.
There is one customer "X" which should be allowed only for document type ZOR1
& ZOR1 should only allow customer "X" in creation of Sales Order.
how to achieve this?
Reg,
Amol
Hi,
Another way of achieving this could be to set up new sale area. Create the customer in that sales area. Also assign the sales document type to that sales area only.
Hope this will help you.
But meanwhile can you please explain your business scenario ?
Thanks and Regards,

Customer deposit document types - implementation pointers
Hi All,
Just want to check on some implementation criterias if we want to have a new document type for downpayment from customers.
We also have the concept of clearing it once invoice is raised .
Special GL indicator is used while collecting deposits/downpayment.
This indicator is removed and a new document is created when we apply to invoice with same document type.
Pl let me know about the AR points at which this new doc type and the clearing may get hit so that we can take care of it.
rgds
nehaHi,
You can create your own document types from T Code: OBA7 and then Customize them as per your requirement.
Some Important existing Document Types for AR Down Payments (from Customers)
1. F-37 - Request (Document Type: DZ)
2. F-29 - Down Payment (Document Type: DZ)
3. F-39 - Clearing (Document Type: DA)
Some Important existing Document Types for AP Down Payments (to Vendors)
1. F-47 - Request (Document Type: KA)
2. F-48 - Down Payment (Document Type: KZ)
3. F-54 - Clearing (Document Type: KA)
Thanks & Regards,

Tax code optional in document type for one company code
Hello experts,
Is it possible to make tax code optional in a document type only for one company code. If yes kindly explain me the process in detail.
Regards,
P.Krishna Chaitanya.Hi
If I understand your requirement correctly that for a particular document type, the line item should not contain a tax code, while for other Document Types, it should have a tax code. Note, the logic for making tax code optional/mandatory is made through the field tax category in the GL Master and not through the field status. further Build in a validation rule, using a logic as follow:
BKPF-BLART IN "SET NAME"
Check BSEG-MSKWZ<> ' '
Set an Error message
You can also create a subsitituion rule for populating tax code with a blank value if a particular doc type is used.
BKPF-BLART in 'SET NAME"
Substitute BSEG-MSKWZ= ' '
You may need to allow tax code as a field to be substituted in the maintainence view of table GB01 using T Code SM30 for boolean class 9

Cannot Relate Look Table to Document Type
I am setting up a new R&D library. They would like to have attributes or
properties based off of the document type. Everytime I try to setup a
look table to use Document Type as the parents it clears it. If I
manually type Document Type in as the Related Table, it give the error:
"You may only relate a table to another table that exists, has no
parent, and is either Document Type or is user-defined table. Select a
table from the list."
Now it show Document type in the lookup selection but will not select
it. Is this a feature that was available at one time and removed or is
it a feature that has been disabled for some reason? Maybe a problem
with the snap-in.

Determination of PR and PO document type
Can anyone tell me what I need to do if I want a ZNB purchase requisition type created rather then the usual NB? I also would like the same to occur for Purchase order type. What determines what order type gets created, once you have configured a "Z" document type?
Hello, Charlie
With reference to your Recent query
(i.e, The document type ZNB is for PR and PO. I have one created for both documents. I am trying to get the system to automatically create the ZNB for purchase requisition doing MRP planning and to automatically convert the ZNB to a ZNB purchase order type.)
When you Run MRP, a PR of your own document type will be created, yes, you can do so like that,
For that you need to Setup some Configuration, is as follows:
Use t.code: OPPZ,
(i.e, the t.code is settings for MRP Group)
Select the Plant (for which you want to do it)
-> Create (press tab)
and
then -> Maintain Tab (here, you are maintaining MRP Group for External Procurement for your Plant)
then
-> press Maintain Tab (Maintain MRP Group screen will appears)
Here,
under External Procurement -
>
-> Scheduling /doc. type ( Press this tab )
Display view: "External Procurement for MRP Groups": Over view;
in the above Screen, there is a table like below: (need to config)
Plant Name1 MRP Group Name Doc Type SPO
XXXX YYYY ZZZZ External Procurement ZNB
Suggestion: In the above configuration, you are assigning (your own customized purchase requision document type, i.e, ZNB instead of NB (default) to your Plant and also to the MRP Group.
If you need path for the above Configuration setup:
in Display IMG:
-> MM -> Consumption-Based Plannning -> MRP Groups
then
-> Carry Out Overall Maintenance of MRP Groups
click on it on above
Maintain MRP Group for your Plant (t.code: OPPZ)
When MRP is carried out, then the requirement is generated that is PR is created automatically (of your own customized PR document type, that is here, ZNB)
Hope this will clarifies you,
Reward, if it helps,

Changing PO Document type layout programatically
Hii,
My requirement is to change the PO Document type layout programetically. We have customized the standard PO Print report and for that we have created one customized style sheet. We have done the same for 4 types of document types : standard, Contract etc. Now while moving our code into another instance we need to set out custom stylesheet template to the corresponding Document type. Any one have any idea how can we do that from backend? We don't want to update the standard tables as Oracle does not support it.
This is very urgent.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks.Goto OLME --> Define default value for document type

COPA Error - Document "1000000062" is not profit-related and thus could not
Dear Experts,
I have an following issue , please send your inputs for the below issue.
Client is using Make to Sale order scenario ( MTO).
At the time of billing, COPA documents are not getting generated. I also checked if the COPA documents can be generated after VA88 (Make to Sale order settlement. But still the COPA Document for Revenue and Discounts is not getting generated.
Below is the error when KE5ST is executed. I have also checked the note 20254, but couldnt fix the issue .
Error Message - Document "1000000062" is not profit-related and thus could not be transferred
Message no. KF755
Diagnosis
Sales document "1000000062" was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
The sales document shows zero for the quantity
The sales document has been denied
The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
Advance thanks
SanjaiHi Sanjai,
I'm facing an issue related to Credit Notes without quantity volume. It is right to have Credit Notes without quantity, but we need to capture these amounts in COPA.
When the CN/DN is posted no COPA document is generated and trying to simulate this through KE4ST I've received the message you've outlined above "
Sales document "XXXXXXXX" was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
The sales document shows zero for the quantity
The sales document has been denied
The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
Do you know how we could capture in COPA these documents which have zero for the quantity?
Thanks,

Authorisation to post to document type n authorisation to post to cost cent
Hi
I have two questions-
1. I want that to a particular document type some user group should not have authorisation to post. I know in document type we have one field called authorisation group, but i dont know how to create such group.
2. one user working at a particular plant say plant A should have authorisation to use certain cost centers only.
Please guide.
Thanks
SwetaHI,
1: you can use authorization groups for that purpose, see F1-help for this field in T-Code OBA7 (doc.type maintenance in customizing. See also the link to "authorization objects" in this F1-help. Nevertheless you need the knowledge of somebody who is familair with the SAP authorization concept, role creation,...
2: see SAPNET-note 370082 how to create user authorization for cost center (groups).
Best regards, Christian -
Hi all,
I have a requirement to create new PR document type and replace existing PR document type.
What are the pre-requistes for replacing the existing document type?
How will it impact on business process?Create new document type copying existing one but dont delete the existing doc type as it will affect the old PRs.
To stop usage of existing doc type you can remove its number range assignment so that no new PR will be created using that doc type.
For new doc type you have to assign number range.
Assign field selection key.
If you have used doc type as characteristics in release strategy then maintain new doc type in release startegy.
Also check whether the new doc type is linked to purchasing doc types such as PO/RFQ/Contract.
If you have activated version management for PR then maintain new doc type in version management.
Hope this clears.

Billibg document type controling fields
Hi All
In billing document type controlling fields one field which indicates "credit memo w/val dat".
what is the importence of this field!
Regards
rajhi,
Credit memo with value date
If the field "Credit memo with value date" is set, the reference billing document is not settled and the payment deadline date for the base billing document comes after the billing date for the credit memo, then field VALDT (fixed value date) in the credit memo request is filled with the payment deadline baseline date of the base billing document.
This does not happen if the payment deadline date of the reference billing document comes before the current billing date of the credit memo.
This is from the documentation on the field.

PO Document type for Automatic Load Building
Hi Everyone,
We have a 46C SAP Retail installation and I am currently working on automatic load building. Would anybody know how I could force the system to use our customized PO document type ZB01 instead of the standard NB during PO creation of the automatic load building functionality?
Thanks in advance and all the best,

Release of parked document affects other document types
Hello,
we are using the standard parked-vendor-invoice-with-workflow scenario in production since 1, 5 years.
Now we want to start using the parking function for customer invoices as well, but without release requirement and workflow.
For some reason the release scenario is automatically also activated for the customer invoices (document type DR) . I. e the "release necessary" flag is set automatically in the workflow tab strip in the parked customer invoice and the workflow (for the vendor invoice scenario) is triggered as well for the customer invoice.
We have configured a workflow variant and defined the document release as active from 1 SEK. We have assigned the wf-variant to a company code.
An approval path has been defined and assigned to the workflow variant, release approval group and the document type KR (vendor invoice). The approval path is also assigned to a workflow.
We thought that by defining the document type specifically in the assignment of the approval path to the combination workflow variant, release approval group and document type, we could restrict the release scenario to be activated only for a specific document type. This does not seem to happen. Is this a known bug?
Kind regards

Set up the output GR slip for RE (customer return) Order Type
Dear Experts,
I need to set up the output GR slip for RE (customer return) Order Type
Kindly let me know how can I do this in SAP
Regards
ShettyHi,
As I understand your question, you need to set up an output type for printing Goods Receipt in Sales Order (RE) - perhaps when the RE order is saved. For this, you can follow the following steps. Also you need to take the help of an ABAPer to develop a form which prints as per your requirement.
For configuring the output, follow the steps
a. Go to SPRO>Sales and Distribution > Basic Function > Output Control > Define Output type.
b. Create a new output type (Eg: ZTRE)
c. Create a new Access Sequence and put in the required condition tables... The Key combination may be Document Type / Customer or Document Type / Sales Orgnaization / Distribution Channel. etc.
d. Assign the access sequence to the new output type.
e. Create a new ouput procedure and assign new output type to it.
f. Assign this new output procedure to the document type.
g. In Tcode: VV11 maintain the condition record for Output type ZTRE.
When the output type is created, a form and a program needs to be assigned to it so that the requirement of GR slip gets printed. You have to take the ABAper's help for the same. You have to mention the fields which have to be printed on the GR Slip. You can do the same for delivery document as well.
Else you can go to Tcode: NACE to do the same configuration. You have to select V1 for Sales documents.
Hope this answeres your question
Thanks

Customer should be blocked only one document type ?
Dear
how to block some customers only for some sales document types
ex: customers 1000,10005,1006,1007
now i have sales document types .. ZSOR ,ZSOZ, ,ZSOOZ
Now 1006 customer should not be allowed to create ZSOOZ Order but he can create all document types
Any possibility is there in sapIt can be done with standard system itself--Here i don't want disagree with other members.
Have you tried with option called--Define & assign blocking reasons to sales document types.
IMG→SD→Sales→Sales Documents→Define & assign blocking reasons.
1.Create one Blocking reason(X) ,
2.Assign this-X, to all your sales document types(OR)
3.Now you assign this Blocking reason to the customer(A),whom you want to block.
4.When you try with A with OR--system will blocks.
5.For other customers(B,C,D....) will be allowed with OR.
Hope this helps.

How to get one column value from a DOCUMENT TYPE attribute
Hi,
I have created a DOCUMENT TYPE attribute which queries from a table and all the column values( For Ex: Customer Name, Contact Name and Address) are displayed in the message body.
I want one column value(For Ex: Customer Name) to be displayed in the SUBJECT of the message.
How can this be done? Please let me know.
Thanks in advance.Thanks Matt. I have used SETITEMATTRTEXT to get a single column value into an ITEM ATTRIBUTE.
Please see the following procedure...
==========================================================
PROCEDURE MisNotifyDataDesk(
itemtype IN VARCHAR2
, itemkey IN VARCHAR2
, actid IN NUMBER
, funcmode IN VARCHAR2
, resultout OUT VARCHAR2
) IS
p_Cart_Id VARCHAR2(30);
p_ORG_NAME VARCHAR2(360);
BEGIN
IF funcmode != WF_ENGINE.ENG_RUN THEN
wf_log_pkg.string(5,'Notify_Cust_Data_Desk','Not in RUN mode');
RETURN;
END IF;
p_Cart_Id := WF_ENGINE.GetItemAttrText ( itemtype => itemtype
, itemkey => itemkey
, aname => 'CART_ID' );
p_code_position := 10;
SELECT
ORG_NAME
INTO
p_ORG_NAME
FROM
MISIBE_END_CUST_DETAILS
WHERE
QUOTE_HEADER_ID = p_Cart_Id;
-- For TEXT BODY
WF_ENGINE.SETITEMATTRTEXT(itemtype => itemtype , itemkey => itemkey , aname => 'ORG_NAME',avalue => p_ORG_NAME);
resultout := WF_ENGINE.ENG_COMPLETED||':'||CUST_DATA_CHECK(p_Cart_Id);
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
WF_CORE.context (
'WFCustCheck',
'MisNotifyDataDesk',
itemtype,
itemkey,
TO_CHAR(actid),
funcmode,
SQLERRM
RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR (-20005, SQLERRM);
===========================================================
I am using &ORG_NAME in the body and subject of my message. But the value is
not retrieved into the ITEM ATTRIBUTE when I run my process. It is just displaying in the message and the subject of hte message as "&ORG_NAME"
CUST_DATA_CHECK used in the resultout, is a function which returns 'T' or 'F'. That part is working fine. Just retrieving the ORG_NAME in the ITEM ATTRIBUTE is not working.
Am I going wrong somewhere? Please let me know.
Thanks,
