Customisation Query

Hi,
I have a seeded Oracle page - SimpleSearch panel region + the results table
The data is fetched from a VO query .
e.g select name,type,date from per_participants_table .
When the page is first rendered(i.e even before user specifies the search criteria), the above query is executed and the table shows all the data .
Requirement : Create a page that will list only those rows that have type as 'A'.
e.g select name,type,date from per_participants_table WHERE type='A'
The first page (seeded oracle page) behaviour should remain unchanged as before.
Both the pages are based on same VO. So, I suppose view extension and jpx substitution will restrict rows to type='A' in both the pages and will not suit my requirement. Please comment if I am right on this.
Do, i need to extend the am to create a new method that will set the additional where clause and then call this method from the processrequest of the extended co for this requirement?
Or do we have any other way out?
Thanks,
Lal

If your requirement is to create a new page with the functionality as you desired then best option is while creating custom page in JDeveloper create custom AM,VO,CO as required and use for your page.
Call this custom page from seeded page using a button(created by personalization).
No need to modify/extend seeded components.

  • Can we Customise Query designer?

    Hello BW Gurus:
    I have a peculiar requirement.
We have some calculated key figures. Now our power users need to be able to see some kind of help document/definitions of those calculated key figures which they create queries.
I know we have documents available in Bex but is there some simpler alternative to display some text for the objects within a query designer? Maybe like a mouseover popup or on click display in the toolbar below?
    Thanks,
    JP.

    hi jp..
have you tried using text variables.. if not try using that..hope it will help in your problem..

  • Reqd. Query in production

    hi all,
I need a query/report  what are all child items(parent for another child) & quantity required
to produce a parent item & quantity in production process(for Standard Production Order,BOM Type- Production) ?
Helpful answer will be really appreciated.

    Hi,
You can take the relevant fields from OWOR and WOR1 tables.
You can create a customise query and get the report.

  • BW Performance Query

    Hi Friends,
I need to create customised query to see the query aveage run time and the user usage based on hour/day/week/month.
I try to create in bi 7.0 but i was not able to find in the BI Content delivered queries and also when i try to create on my own i was not finding the reqired key fig and characteristics.
    My requirements are:-
User selection (filter drop down menu) to aggregate the time by hour, day, week or month. Default should show past month with performance statistics by aggregates day
User selection (filter drop down menu) to choose a single MultiProvider. Default should be to report on all InfoProviders
User selection (filter drop down menu) to choose a report duration. Possibel durations would be: last week, last month, last quarter, last year. Default would be last month
User selection (filter drop down menu) to choose a single reporting user. Default should be for all users
    The two measures are as:
1.Average execution time for all reports
    2.Total number of report executions
    Ts in Advance,

    Hi Sruthi,
Your requirement seems to be more or less meeting with the query 0TCT_MC01_Q0200.
    This query specifies:
    OLAP Time
    Data Manager Time
Deviation in Times in Percent per BI Application
To start from scratch you need to install the multiprovider 0TCT_MC01 from the business content (underliying cubes being 0TCT_C01 & 0TCT_VC01) along with its workflow.
You can subsequently make changes to this report to include user input variables and othe key figures or characteristics as per your requriement.
For your information one such Key figure 0TCTQUCOUNT determines the count of the number of times a query is run by a user.
For more information on the objects and their usage refer to the link

  • SQ01 Query on VBRK billing docs

    Hi Experts
I have a issue where we ran an customised query for the return billing documents the value for the return items is not showing the negative value in the report , Pls help me to know how does the Query report the billing values shows,
    Please advi

is there ant report or query which gives the value of the retuned
sales orders or and the cost with neagtive values
As already Reazuddin pointed out, no report will show the value with sign positive or negative.  But in order to differentiate this, definitely, you should be having a different sale order types and billing types for normal sales and return sales.  So in that way, to check the returned sales value, go to SE16, key in VBRK and execute.  There input return billing type (credit memo) and execute.  Whatever value populates there can be treated as returns.  Else if you want to see the for how much value, return order is created, the same logic applies.  In SE16 table, key in VBAK and execute.  There give return sale order type and execute.  You will get the desired result.

  • Problem with Purchase Order receipt - Urgent

    Hi all,
Scenario - A purchase order with a six items has been released, four items have been recieved, fifth item was deleted & sixth item is packing & forwarding charges.
Problem - A change was done in the Mtl master for the packing & forwarding charges to ensure that a GR is not required for this item, but the same is not being reflected, as a query of Open PO's still shows this PO as open with the item packing & forwarding not received. How to resolve this?
    Vivek

    Stephen & Seema,
From your inputs i did get some picture, but here is more details about the problem am facing, maybe you can help me out with this,
The item packing & forwarding chgs has been declared as a material & in the BD-1 view of the Mtl Master, the General Item Category Grp has been set as 'Service w/o Dlvy' & this is causing the GR not to be ticked in the PO & hence it still says item yet to receive. I subsequently changed the status of Gen Itm Category to 'Service w/o Dlvy Confimration' & this ticks the GR. But the issue is, since the change in Material Master is done after the PO release, it is not changing the status in that PO.
And the query i am runing to check the open PO's is a customised query developed using SQ01.
Hope you are clear of my problem now & let me know what i can do

  • Problem with Purchase Order (PO) script

    Hi all,
I am having a problem in my PO layout.
In my layout when I take the print preview of the layout  for Purchasing Organization PAPL it shows me the Info record Text for only first item whereas it does not show it for other line items.
However when I double-click on the particular line item without changing any data of the PO,  and take print preview again it shows me the info record text for the first item and the line item I double clicked.
I am using the include statement
/: INCLUDE &TEXT& OBJECT EKPO ID F02 LANGUAGE EN PARAGRAPH P3 to fetch the info record text.
Here &TEXT& is PO number + Line item in concatenated form.
Also this does not happen for any other Purchasing  Organization.

  • To view "Daily ID Administrators Activity" & "Dormant Accounts"

    Dear Hyperion Users,
I am looking out for the below ones on Hyperion 9.3.1.
    1. Daily ID Administrators Activity [User maintenance, to track any changes on user's access, etc]
    2. Dormant Accounts - Account which are not used or which are idle for certain time [Lets say user who hasn't logged on for 3 months] and remove/clean up the accounts.
I have opened SR with Oracle on the above 2 points and they conveyed that Hyperion 9.3.1 doesn't provide any of the above information.
    3. User Access Profile Listing : I could log on to Shared Services and create User access listing report via "Administration" -> "View Report".
We have Hyperion Planning, HFM, Essbase and BI+ applications and I need your help in finding posibility of creating customised query or find way to get these "Daily ID Administrators Activity" & "Dormant Accounts" information for my Hyperion Applications.
    Thanks in advance.

Finding dormant accounts in Essbase specifically (so it depends what you mean by 'Hyperion', but you are posting in the Essbase forum :) ) comes up frequently. I believe the information in this thread - Info of Last login details of Users - is still accurate, and I'm sure it would be correct regarding 9.3.1.
EDIT: Must have read that too quickly, as I see you've listed your apps - but what I wrote above stands re Essbase!

  • Account Determination by Order Reason

My Finance Department would like to determine GL account number posting for delivery document based on sales document order number.  Has anyone ever done this?
I have read about Valuation Class and Account Assignment but do not see where this might be possible.

    Hi
My Finance Department would like to determine GL account number posting for delivery document based on sales document order number.  Has anyone ever done this?
I have read about Valuation Class and Account Assignment but do not see where this might be possible.
    >>Not sure about this question .So far I know there is no things such like valuation class .     Are you sure you want to test in Business one  . So Far ,when you transfer from SO to Delivery  , you can see delivery document make a link with SO with Basetype and BaseRef ..  Since delivery document create a journal entry ,you can easily see what journal entry is created .
If you need a report ,probably you have to use query  to fulfill your need .
You can also filter some default report like genereal ledger and document journal  before you proceed for customisation query .
    Hope this helps

  • Delivery Order created from Serivce module

    Hi All,
Does anyone has a solution for tagging the Service Call number to the Delivery Order when the DO is raised from Service Call module?
i have a few scenarios where the DO is created.
Scenario 1 : DO created from Sales Order. (the SO number is updated in the baseref field.).
Scenario 2 : Direct DO (raised without any document). usually used for delivery to customer for item exchange.
Scenario 3 : DO from Service Call (currently there is no field indicating the Service Call number).
How can I know if the DO is from scenario 2 or 3?
    Please help.
    Regards
    Jessie

    Hi
U can Achieve this By using Some UDF's and FMS ...
Scenerio 3: Create one UDF and tell to End user to eneter the service no. in UDF or use FMS.
Sce 2:  Create one UDF and mention what type if Do is this..Ex: Item Exchange in UDF, so finally u can generte Customised query report  by using this UDFS..

  • Query to get all Project Server Customisation.

    Hello mate-
I am trying to find sample queries which I can run in either published or reporting db in order to get all the front end level customization that I may have done in my PWA 2010 instance. Like,
    1. Users, Security. Groups, category.
    3. Views a& Setup.
    4. PDPs, workflows.
    5. project site and settings.
    6. time & task related settings and data
    etc,.,..
I am planning to create a master data sheet for my customer.
Thanks and looking forward to read from you guys.

    Hello,
To data is stored in the Published DB, you shouldn't be querying this DB directly with T-SQL, you will need to use the PSI. The PDP's and workflows will be stored in the SP content database, again you shouldn't query this DB directly either, you will need
to use the SP object model. If you are not familiar with the PSI, download the Project 2010 SDK:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=15511
We have done something similar before that used the PSI to get all the Project Server config and wrote this to a word document - works very well but did take a lot of dev time.
Alternatively look at a 3rd party product:
