Customise Subject Line for Email Notifications?

I am using FormsCentral to receive Course Submissions.
Because Gmail groups all emails with identical Subjects & Senders, I need to be able to differentiate the Subject line of the Email Notifications, to include a unique field identifier (such as email address).
Is there a way of doing this?  This would mean a vastly improved workflow for me, if the emails coming in are "unthreaded" because of Subject Line uniqueness!
Thanks, Peter

Wenlan...
please can we add this to the Feature Request List.
Every notification generated by the form arrives with an identical sender and Subject.  Gmail reads them as part of one long thread, and there is no way to separate the items in a single thread without changing the default Email settings.
I need either the Submitter's name, or their email plus the date of form submission to appear in the Subject Line of the Notification.  This would be a MASSIVE plus.  The use of special shortcodes for such notifications is a feature offered by parallel industries, such as ZenDesk, where each support request can be configured to show custom info.
I hope you can prioritise this feature request.

  • Customise Subject line of EM alert notification email

Hi, would it be possible to customise the Subject Line of the notification email to include some in-house information? Thank you for your help.

The easiest way (maybe the only way since I haven't found a way to modify the format of email notifications) would be to set up an "OS Command" as a notification method that would then run a script to send an email formatted with the pertinent Grid info and whatever you wish to add. The variables available to pass to an "OS Command" from Grid can be found in the online help under the " Passing Metric Severity/Policy Information" section.

  • Modifying subject line on each Notification email

I'm using Adobe forms to create work orders for our internal studio. When we submit a work order, it sends a notification to the appropriate party which is great. however it always defaults to the generic subject line which we have as "work order request" right now. It makes it difficult to track the requests in email with all of the requests having that same generic subject line. Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the subject line of the notification email on a job by job basis, so we could put the job number in each individual notification? Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes, you can modify the generic subject line of the notification emails.
Click on Options- Email notifications- Customize the subject line as per your choice.

  • Subject line for quiz result email

    Hello,
I am still working with Captivate 2 and I am wondering if
there is a way to set the subject line when emailing the quiz
    results.
Because I have several Captivate projects with quizzes, I
would like to distinguish between them.
    Thanks for your help,
    Matt

    Hi Matt
Sure thing. Where you type the E-Mail address, tack on a
question mark followed by subject= so it looks like this:
    [email protected]?subject=Any subject here
Note that if you left it at that, Captivate will advise this
isn't a valid address and the dialog won't dismiss. What it's
balking at are the spaces. To overcome this, use %20 where you have
a space. In this case, the line looks like this:
    [email protected]?subject=Any%20subject%20here

  • Change subject line of Email sent through "spool recipient functionality".

A batch job creates a spool, which is send through Email using spool recipient functionality. The subject line of the Email is as follows
    "Job<job name>, Step <step no.>".
Is it possible to change the subject line of the Email?
Any pointers on this would be highly appreciated.

check the program name for job.
If the program is Custom program(starting with Z or Y)  then you can easily change subject line of email.
If it is standard program then we have to look for alter path.

  • Creating a blank subject-line in email hyperlinks

I'm producing a pdf that includes email hyperlinks, and want to leave the subject line blank so responders can choose the most appropriate line themselves. Keynote, however, seems to insist on a subject line being provided, otherwise it defaults to showing 'email subject'.
Anyone know if it's possible to produce a blank subject line for the email links?

Sorry, I figured it out. I was "re-creating" the text box by copying the original text in order to keep the font. When I tried the procedure starting from scratch, voila - new, accurate Email Me button.

  • How to increase the length of the subject line in email using FM

    Hi
we have maintained 50 characters for the subject line initially, but some subjects are having more than 50 characters. how can we increase the length of the subject line in email.
    urgent.
    points will be rewarded generousely.

    Hi Rana,
In this case, you have to create a user defined field of required length under Journal Transactions Header to fill the data.

  • Abbreviate long subject lines in email messages by following RFC 2919

The subject lines in email are ridiculously long due to the added forum
identification and other non-content. Especially if threads originate by
people like me who believe subjects should cover the actual content of
    the message.
The smart way to add the forum identification information is to use the
standard way from RFC 2919: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2919.txt
This allows you to embed additional information in email headers where
MUAs can act upon them, without cluttering up the screen for the human
reader. And you could even embed additional information such as a URL to
    report abuse, to unsubscribe etc.

I apologize for responding in the wrong thread, but I am finding that I simply cannot take the time to process the current structure of the forums.
After deleting the almost 400 Premiere and  Encore emails from about 2 days (almost all unread), I found today that the structure of the emails changed so that the content of the message is first (shows up nicely in Outlook reading pane), the link to the item is still convenient, and much of the unnecessary stuff is gone.  A step in the right direction.
I'm sure the subject line is a bigger problem to fix, since it is being used to track, but I have still not found a way to avoid lots of separate groups.  I just found (should have thought of it before), that if I don't group them at all, just list the messages and then sort by subject, I get a passable list.  However, the unique code per item is not always in the correct (time) order.

  • Change Email subject line for PDF output through smartforms

    Dear all,
Currently i am working in Client ECC6.and we are useing The Smartform for Sending PDF document to the Customer.
Since recently email was setup so these invoices can be mailed directly to the customers, but we face the problem that when invoices are sent via email, the subject is like this.
    From: Ramesh Babu mailto:ramesh_babu@abc
    Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 10:40 AM
    To: Babu, Ramesh
    Subject: New Invoice (mail/prnt).
Now the customer Requirement is that ,they dont want to disclose the Email address of the sender.
so they want to change the Form line and one hard codeed line always send to the customer like Ex below.
    From: "Help Me Please'' .
This will aplicable for all sender ,if he send it by foreground or background as well.
so could you please sugest me how can i do that coding,or is there a user-exit to overrule the Standard SAP behaviour.
My Print program name: ZLB_BIL_INVOICE .

  • Missing Subject line for the Approval Notification Mail

    Hi,
We use CUP 5.3 SP7. We have configured the system for role based approval. We found that the approval notification mail being sent without any Subject line. It's configurable to set the admin mail id, but couldn't find one to set the Subject.
We get the following content in the mail....
    View <http://<host:port>/AE/index.jsp?verifyApproverLogin.do........................>
Can we set it somewhere from the configuration?
    Regards, Anil

    Hi Alpesh,
Thx for your reply..But i think you missed my point...Let me try to explain it again...
When we submit a request, the system triggers a notification mail to the approver(s). And this mail seems to be missing a Subject line... and it's shown to be sent from the System E-mail id we set at the SMTP server config.
I couldn't find a tab for setting the E-mail format for the first approver  neither at the stage nor in the e-mail reminder configuration.
Perhaps, setting the next approver will help if i had a secondary approver. But we are using a single stage WF in CUP. Am i missing some config step here?

  • Subject Line For Multiple Separate Emails

    Hi everyone!
I am sending multiple emails and they all will have the exact same subject line. Is there a way for me to set up something so that I don't have to keep copying and pasting the subject line into every individual email? Needless to say, this is way too time consuming, but I can't just send a group email to all the people so I have to send separate emails. If anyone could help me asap I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
    Kathy

    Hi Kathy.
I don’t know whether it would be an acceptable solution, but assuming this works the same in Mail 1.3 as it does in Mail 2.x (I don‘t remember), you may select an already sent message, do Message > Send Again, and change only what needs to be changed. The name of this command is actually a misnomer, as it doesn't really cause anything to be sent. It just creates a copy of the message which you can then modify and save or send just like you would do with any other draft.
