Customizing Worklist Discoverer portlet - 10.1.2

Hi,
Is there any clean way of customizing the Discoverer worklist portlet. I want to remove the "type" column and the "Expand all" section.
I have looked at show_list_of_worksheets.uix but I am not particularly sure of what to change.
Thanks
Joel.

  • ADF/SOA custom worklist viewFilter

    Hello Folks
    I am posting for the first time is this part of forums and i have a feeling it will not be the last.
    I have a situation integrating ADF application with bpm worklist.
    I saw other similar posts like customise Worklist application in BPEL
    from people trying to customise Inbox, or show a custom view as default for a user.
    I feel i am close to a solution but i hit a posible bug:
    I have managed to create a ADF application with a custom worklist region following instructions of :
    Developer's Guide for Oracle SOA Suite &30.13 Creating Reusable Worklist Regions
    I also see that there is a parameter you can pass to the worklist task flow, the viewFilter:
    Developer's Guide for Oracle SOA Suite &34.4 Passing Worklist Portlet Parameters
    'viewFilter Specifies the selected view for which the tasks are displayed.'
    Yet when I use it with values like:
    value="Due Soon"
    value="My Work Queues/Standard Views/Due Soon"
    I get the the following error 'One or more views could be invalid'
    Only if i pass value="Inbox" it works.
    Anyone has any idia how should i pass my custom view value?

  • Slow performance of discoverer portlets

    Hi,
    I am running into slow performance of a particular page in portal, there are multiple sites hosted on the portal but these all have static text and are very quick to load but the one page with discoverer portlets and a web-clippping portlet is taking ages. If I run these reports on their own they are instant. Has anyone had similar problems with 9.0.2 portal and the discoverer reports ? I tried to identify a particular report that may be the culprit by deleting them one by one and to no avail. After a few hours effort I found the design mode was hanging as well. Again, just for this 1 page.
    There are 3 tabs on this page with about 4 report portlets and 1 web-clipping portlet.
    Thanks for any help,
    Brandon

    Thanks for the help.
    Seems to have been resolved although I'm not sure if thats the end of the story. Will wait and see.....
    So far apparently a port conflict of some sort in the discoverer config was causing it to hang and then also other system demands on the network and server housing the discoverer end-user layer were also causing problems.
    No error messages unfortunately......

  • How to change Refresh Time in  a Discoverer Portlet?

    Hi,
    I have added a discoverer portlet to my main portal page. The minimum refresh time for the discoverer page i could set is 1 hour. Is there any way i could change it to 1 min as this is getting real time data in the database which i would like to display immediately.
    Any help/suggestion is most welcome. Thanks in advance.

  • Calling ADF BPM form from a Custom worklist

    Hi There,
    I have my BPM project that uses the ADF forms for all the human tasks, in the other hand i have built a custom worklist, but when i list all my task i need to view the detail of my task using the ADF forms created in my BPM project, is it possible to do this call, and if it is possible how can i do it?
    Thanks for your help
    Yuri

    To call and display external forms in BPM here is what you do:-
    1) In an Interactive Activity, right click ,select Main Task
    2) In the Implementation Type change from Method to External
    3) Edit and write the Prepare and Commit Methods
    4) Write a PAPI Code which calls these Prepare and Commit Methods
    5) So the Prepare method will call the PAPI code which in turn will call your external UI.
    6) When everything is finished i.e. when the user hits the submit button on the form, redirect it to the PAPI Code.
    7) This PAPI code will then call the Commit Method in the Interactive activity of BPM
    8) Once committed, the activity ends and the process moves forward.
    That's how you connect to external UIs.
    Include this PAPI code in the directory where the process is deployed on the Enterprise Server.

  • Building Custom Worklist application in 11g using wlfullclient.jar

    Hi,
    Can anybody mention me the detailed steps to be followed to build a custom Worklist application.
    I have created a Web application jdev 11g
    I placed the following url to create
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E1552301/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklistcust.htm_+
    placed the following jars in classpath
    Wsclient_extended.jar
    Bpm-services.jar
    Bpm-infra.jar
    Wlfullclient.jar
    xmlparserv2.jar
    xml.jar
    I did not find this bpm-services-client.jar* anywhere in the SOA stack. I am missing this??
    and also place wf_client_config.xml under src folder the content is as below
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <workflowServicesClientConfiguration xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/services/client">
    <server name ="default" default="true" >
    <localClient>
    <participateInClientTransaction>false</participateInClientTransaction>
    </localClient>
    <remoteClient>
    <serverURL>t3://localhost:7001</serverURL>
    <userName>weblogic</userName>
    <password>weblogic123</password>
    <initialContextFactory>weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
    </initialContextFactory>
    <participateInClientTransaction>false</participateInClientTransaction>
    </remoteClient>
    <soapClient>

    </policy-references>
    </identityPropagation>
    </soapClient>
    </server>
    </workflowServicesClientConfiguration>
    And I have placed web.xml and weblogic.xml under WEB-INF folder.
    I do not have any compile time error.
    But when I am trying to deploy the application I am getting the following error.
    If i remove the wlfullclient.jar I am not getting this error as it is trying to load something while deployment.
    Please can anybody tell me what exactly I am missing.

  • Can I put Discoverer Portlet in my web application

    Hi!
    Can I put Discoverer Portlet in my web application? Let's say I want to put or publish worksheets it in my own J2EE web application (not on Oracle AS Portal)
    Please comment on this.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    I'm really not sure. You might try asking this in the Application Server forum:

  • Pass page parameter to discoverer portlet

    Hi All,
    iAS Version 10g(9.0.4)
    I created worksheet(graph) using Discoverer plus having 4 parameters. I published the
    discoverer graphs as discoverer portlet in Oracle portal. However for this worksheet it shows
    (No parameters) in Page --> Properties --> parameter. I created simple parameter portlet with
    4 items, this entry I need to pass to this discoverer portlet/Worksheet.
    Any suggestion would help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thank for your reply.
    We are using discoverer plus for relational data (Oracle 10g (Ias 9.0.4)).
    Appreciate your feedback.
    Raj
    Hi, are you using discoverer plus for relational/OLAP
    data?

  • Success with export/import of Discoverer portlets?

    Hi folks.
    Before I begin working with the 9iAS export/import procedures, can anyone tell me if they've been successful exporting and importing pages with Discoverer portlets from one 9iAS server to another?
    Are there any gotchas?

    Ravishankar,
    Thanks.
    So are you saying:
    Pages with Discoverer portlets will be transported with the Discoverer portlets in place.
    However, after the transport, the end-user will have to "Edit Defaults" again.
    And user customizations would have to be re-applied.

  • Building a custom worklist client in 11g R1 fails to authenticate [Solved]

    Release: 11gR1
    Hi,
    We're trying to build a custom worklist client using the APIs exposed by the workflow service described here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklistcust.htm#BHAHBHID
    I created an ADF/webcenter application.
    Created a page and added ADF security to the page which in turn authenticates via OID - this works.
    However when I try to use the workflow API to retrieve the workflow context I receive this exception:

    Further Notes:
    The out-of-the-box worklistapp included with BPEL authenticates correctly through the same OID instance.
    The above was when I used REMOTE_CLIENT, I get a similar error when I use SOAP_CLIENT.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Guys,
    Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, from your replies I gathered that I was barking up the wrong tree.
    I'll comment on my solution below for the curious.
    thx
    Bud
    I left my wf_client_config.xml file as is. (shown in the original comment above - I have this file in the ViewController project's src directory - not the global src directory)
    I reverted my workflow-identity-config.xml file to its original state (ie removed the multiple configurations and defaulted to the jazn.com realm):
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <ISConfiguration xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/pcbpel/identityservice/isconfig" >
    <configurations>
    <configuration realmName="jazn.com">
    <provider providerType="JPS" name="JpsProvider" service="Identity">
    <property name="jpsContextName" value="default" />
    </provider>
    </configuration>
    </configurations>
    <property name="caseSensitive" value="false"/>
    </ISConfiguration>
    It seemed to me that the worklist client service (API) always uses jazn.com as the realm, even though I added users to myrealm (weblogic's default realm) via oid.
    When I browse for users in a HumanTask.task file in JDeveloper for instance the users I had added to myrealm show up in the jazn.com realm - which is okay since they're all in there.
    Since this is a client and we don't really know the password of a user logging in I used the authenticateOnBehalfOf() method to get the IWorkflowContext of the user after getting the IWorkflowContext of an Administrator.
    In order to get an administrator IWorkflowContext you need to authenticate against a user who is in the 'Administrators' group.
    The code I used is below:
    public class worklistService {
    String adminUser = "harry";
    String adminPassword = "welcome1";
    String realm = "jazn.com";
    public List getTasks() throws WorkflowException, StaleObjectException {
    String user = ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().getUserName();
    try {
    IWorkflowServiceClient iWorkflowServiceClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(WorkflowServiceClientFactory.REMOTE_CLIENT);
    ITaskQueryService iTaskQueryService = iWorkflowServiceClient.getTaskQueryService();
    System.out.println("admin user : " + adminUser);
    System.out.println("admin pw : " + adminPassword);
    System.out.println("realm : " + realm);
    System.out.println("user : " + user);
    IWorkflowContext directUserContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticate("ben", adminPassword.toCharArray(), realm);
    System.out.println("------ directUserContext : " + directUserContext);
    IWorkflowContext adminContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticate(adminUser, adminPassword.toCharArray(), realm);
    System.out.println("------ adminContext : " + adminContext);
    IWorkflowContext userContext = iTaskQueryService.authenticateOnBehalfOf(adminContext,user);
    System.out.println("------ userContext : " + userContext);
    Hope this helps someone else ...

  • OB55 Customer worklist REMADV IDOC Payment advice

    Hello,
    We are using REMADV IDOC to enter payment advices for customer open items. We have for ex 3 customers A, B and C. Customer C is entered in Customer's master data A & B as the alternative payer. (company code, payment transaction tab). Customer C sends in payment advice with payment for line items of customer A & B. The aim is thus for the system to clear them by creating a batch input.  When viewing the REMADV IDOC (FBE3) we should have in field "account value "C" but in field "alternative account" we should have either customer "A" or "B".
    This is done through the help of customer worklists. I am unable to understand how this works. How do I create a worklist?
    I tried creating one in OB55 by naming it Worklist "Customer C" REMADV. Then in Edit > Automatic Worklist > Alternative payer. In there I did not enter anything in the prefix, in offset 2, display length 8. I tried many options prefix RE, offset 2, length 6.
    but nothing is working. When integrating the REMADV IDOC, impossible for me to see in FBE3, in Alternative customer account A or B. It is always customer "C"
    Can anyone explain clearly how to create a customer worklist.
    Thank you in advance for your help.
    Josette

    Hi
    Can you please share any IDOC file for the following: On Accout Posting, if the invoice is not found, Debit Memo and Credit Memo with text fields populated?
    Thanks

  • Discoverer Portlet security

    Once a discoverer portlet has been added to portal, only the user that added the portlet can edit it. The only workaround I can think of is for all administrators to use one generic user to add and edit discoverer portlets.
    Does anyone else have ANY other suggestions?

    Got it...i can figure that out using fnd_global.resp_id.
    Thanks

  • Error editing Discoverer Portlet 'Edit Defaults'

    Hello,
    I am trying to edit my discoverer portlet to change the refresh options. However, whenever I click the edit default link, the following error message shows up on the page:
    The current user does not own this instance. Only the owner can Edit Defaults for this portlet. Please contact the portlet owner
    This happens even though I log in as the portal admin user.
    Any ideas?

    Did you find a solution to the problem? I am encountering the same problem. If the discoverer portlet is created by somebody else then I am unable to edit the defaults.

  • Problems with building custom worklist application

    I'am trying to build a custom worklist application using this: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklistcust.htm
    Here is the code I've built so far (it si quite simple but, for now, I'm just trying to get hold of the concepts involved):
    public class Test {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    IWorkflowServiceClient wfsc = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(WorkflowServiceClientFactory.REMOTE_CLIENT);
    ITaskQueryService queryService = wfsc.getTaskQueryService();
    IWorkflowContext context;
    try {
    context = queryService.authenticate("jstein", "welcome1".toCharArray(), null);
    } catch (WorkflowException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    When I run this I get the following exception trace:

    I would appreciate any help. I'm really stuck with this..
    Thanks! :)

    I've finally found a solution to this problem. The problem was that I was trying to connect to a workflow api on the *7001* port but that wasn't the correct port. The correct port is *8001*.
    I came to this conclusion quite accidental (or out of desperation if you like).
    What I don't understand is that in every single official Oracle document about workflow and worklist the port they were targeting was *7001*. I have to emphasize that I installed SOA 11g suite with all default settings.
    Problem solved, moving on.

  • BPEL transaction in custom worklist application

    Hi,
    How can we be sure about transaction while performing actions within worklist client?
    Such an example, we developed an application by using oracle soa suite worklist api's.
    Beside task updating,payload adjustion we need to do some other jobs including business logic in our java client application.
    In such cases, if there is an exception at java code, it doesnt commit to database but bpel integration code performs... Is there any way which you can control all this functions calling within one transaction? I want to rollback all if you come up with an exception.
    I found an xml attribute which you need to configure in wf client config.xml, we use RMI for performing actions...
    participateInClientTransaction true
    How does it work?
    Thanks for help,
    Regards...

    Hi,
    Every release of soa suite may have an updated version of the worklist application. So if you customize the application and upgrade your soa suite installation there may be ar risk you get into problems. However, most of the time the updated version solves existing bug and no more than that. An other issue is that if you are using the bpel libraries to connect to a bpel server the client always needs to be of the same version as the server. What you should do is:
    - get the new 10.1.3.3 version of the libraries or install JDeveloper 10.1.3.3
    - update your orabpel.properties file and make sure the bpel home is pointing to the new version
    - update/verify the build.xml that it is pointing to the new libraries
    - rebuild/compile your customized worklist app against the new libraries
    - redeploy the new worklist application to the 10.1.3.3 server
    Kind Regards,
    Andre
