CY190001 - calculate latest finish date
Hello experts,
in ennhancement CY190001 i need to change schedule data for a plan order.
My problem is to calculate the latest finish date, i can not do it manually because off the complexity (calendar day, break, work center time...many parameters) then i'm looking for a function to do it.
I try with FM CX_PLAN_SCHEDULE but doesn't work and doesnt accept start time, i'm looking in function gr.CXTM....
If anyone know a FM to do it, please help me.
Thank in advance

Hi :
I am trying to select Work Orders based on
Planning Plant M600; system status excluding CNF, TECO, CLSD, DLFL including PCNF, CRTD, REL; excluding work order types PM04 & PM09; and excluding latest finish dates greater than 42 days in the future.
How can i write condition for excluding work orders whose
latest finish date ( mcafvgv-ssedd) greater than 42days in the future.
Thanks.
Raghudeclare a variable & store the latest finish date in it for comparison. ie
data: w_fin_dt type sy-datum.
w_fin_dt = sy-datum + 42.
check mcafvgv-ssedd gt w_fin_dt.

How to make the 'Finish Date' field Editable in Project server 2013
Hi All,
In Project server 2013 on premises deployment, When I try to create a new enterprise project [Also in case of new custom project type], Only the 'Start Date' field is available. The 'Finish Date' field is by default taking the value of the 'start Date' itself.
I am unable to make this 'Finish Date' field editable.
Any pointers on this would be very helpful,
Thanks

When you create a new project in either Microsoft Project Professional or Project Online, the system does not allow you to enter both a Start date and a Finish date for the project. Here is how the software works:
You enter the Start date of the project.
You completely plan the project with tasks, task dependencies, task Durations, and assigning resources to tasks.
Based on the Start date you provide, plus all of the task information, the software calculates the Finish date of the project for you. So, you cannot provide both the Start date and the Finish date, nor is they any way to force the system to allow
you to do this. Hope this helps.

Basic start & Basic finish date in PM Order
Hi,
This is related to Preventive Maint. Order Basic start date & Basic finish date.
I have configured 2 priorities.
Priority 1 with Relative Start 1 & Rel. end 10 Days
Priority 2 with Relative Start 1 & Rel. end 30 Days
PM Plan is created with strategy
Weekly & Bi-weekly
Priority 1 is set in PM plan
Scheduling Period 60 days
Call horizon 100%
Scheduling has beed done with start date as 02.09.2014.
Plan dates are as below.
09.09.2014
16.09.2014
23.09.2014
etc
PM Orders have been called through IP30.
When I checked the Maint. Orders, I found that the Basic start date & Basic finish dates are same as below in all the Orders generated through IP30.
Basic start date: 09.09.2014 & Basic Finish date: 09.09.2014.
Actually it should calculate Basic Finish date as Basic start date + 10 days (as per my priority).
Can I know reason why system does not consider the priority duration in this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
CSRGreetings Raman,
To shift the basic dates for the Orders generated by a Strategy Maintenance Plan, you may use the Float (Initial and Subsequent) values defined on the Strategy level in the Maintenance Strategy itself (IP11)
Normally, the Date Shifts maintained in the Priority do not come into play when you are scheduling Maintenance Plans.
So the rundown is that you can shift the basic dates in Preventive Work Orders, differentiating on the Maintenance Package, rather than Priority.
If you require the Basic Dates to be adjusted for generated Orders, you can develop a solution using EXIT_SAPLCOIH_012
See some more useful info:

Basic start date and finish date changing in the past
Hello Gurus,
I set the scheduling parameters as " Do not adjust basic dates, dep rqmts to order start " and also assigned the priority to populate the basic finish date. System does calculate the finish date based on the priority and start date as current date but it does allow me to change both dates in past or future which should not happen.
Please do note that I activated the defaulted date as current date as well. Even I removed this mark and did not work.
Please let me know if there is any way to restrcit the changing it alteast in the past.
MaheeThis can be prevented using one the following ways depending upon your needs
---> Set the "start in past" field to appropriate value using transaction OPU7 for order type /Plant combination
---> Make the "Basic start date and Basic end date" fields as "Display only" through the Field selection config for the order type.
---> Use the user exit on "SAVE" of the order to check for the same

Calculating Remain Finish Date/ Remain Start Date
Problem:
I have an issue where I can't change the finish date because the following error message: Remain Finish date cannot be earlier than Remain Start Date.
I want to change end date to Jan 25 but it keeps calculating/inputting Feb. 18
Observed:
All the Predecessor for this activity and the activity start date have been Actualized (December 21 or December 12). I do notice that Early Start for this activity is Feb. 18.
I tried modifying the Duration: "remaining" and "at complete". I kept "remaining" at 0d; which keeps the date to Feb. 18; however, the "at complete" also gave me an same error message as above.
Questions:
1.) How do they calculate Remain Finish Date/Remain Start Date?
2.) From my observation, my assumption is that early start is causing the calculation of Remain Start Date to stay at Feb. 18. If my assumption is correct, what do I need to push it back to mid-January?
3.) What should I do?The early start of Feb 18th means either a constraint or another acitivity is pushing it out the start to Feb 18th (or you data date is set there).
Check to see if there are any constraints on the activity.
Even though you say the predecessors are actualized, running with retainined logic will cause any acitivities to push out if ANY predesessors are not statused. You will need to look at the predecessors of the predecessors (in some cases all the way back to the first activity).
You can fix this by breaking the links to the non-finished predecessors or by changing the retained logic setting to progress override in the schedule options menu. This is usually not recommended and can cause unrealistic schedules.
Try and find an activity that ends on Feb 17th. More than likely this activity will be tied to the one you want to change. -
The system could not calculate the fiscal year start or finish date message
While running the transaction FMO1 and FMOA in funds management we have confronted with the following problem.
Message no. FI 500
The system could not calculate the fiscal year start or finish date.
WE are using year dependent fiscal year and are implementing Funds Management for the first time.
SAP Version 4.0 B
Priority Urgent
For the same problem in Version 4.5 and 4.6 there is a note number 213713 available on service.sap.com.No, there is no bug.
Those activities that have asterisks (Stars) next to their start or finish dates (despite having no constraints) have "External Early Start" or "External Late Finish" dates, respectively, assigned to them. These dates get imported with XER and represent links to activities of those projects that are not in your database but in the external database where the XER originated from.
To remove, filter out all such activities (with stars) and delete their "External" dates. However, be aware that Start or Finish dates of such activities might change if you delete theire External dates. If getting rid of asterisks does alter your schedule, ask the person who sent you the XER to confirm start/finish dates of all such (starred) activiites.

Scheduled finish date for process orders not updating in BW
We are having problems with the scheduled finish date (GLTRS) for process orders. When the process order is already released, changes done in R/3 on the scheduled finish date will not result to a delta hence data in BW is not updated. Table AFKO, where data is coming from, is always updated with the changes though. 2LIS_04_P_MATNR is used in extracting the data.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? We are looking for possible ways on how to have a delta whenever there are changes on the process order even after it is already released.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...Hi Donna,
If I've understood your problem correctly, you can increase the load frequency as Sriee has pointed out.
If you want latest data frequently and if you are on BI 7.0 then you can look at Real Time Data Acquisition(RDA)

How Production Order finish date and time is being comptued by SAP?
Hello Expert,
How Production Order finish date and time is being comptued by SAP? for example, we create a Production Order via CO01, the basic start date is 29.09.2008 and time is 04:00 it gives us basic finish date is 29.09.2008 and time is 13:28.
how does SAP compute the time 13:28 as it finished time
Please explain me briefly.
Thanks
RyanHello Guys,
When we create Production Order in R/3 the time is calculated by routing but it is extended at SetUp machine time. It is not correct?. SetUp imachines time used only for first Production Order for the same product and it is plan manually, for others Production Order we need calculate time for production without SetUp machine time being pick up to compute finish time. how could we achieve this? only those Machine time will be check.

Material Availability Date and Corresponding Basic finish date
Hi experts,
I have one requirement from my Business for updating Basic Finish date based on the Material availability date
Requirement goes like this, When we enter a Component of 100 qty in the service order , if stock is not available we get system status as MSPT and IWBK we can see how much quantity confirmed
But i dont see any table or report which shows when this material can be available for further delivery. Based on the next available material date i have to change the basic finish date in the service Order
Please let me know if you any report available for this or any standard approach. I want to know if any exist to leverage this functionality and logic how to get this accomplished
thanks
sarvanSarvan,
You would need to perform this check when saving the work order as there could be multiple components all with differing ATP dates.
But a development could do something like:
Read all active/open components/materials on the work order
Determine the availability data for each component/material
Determine the latest of the above dates
Apply this date to the order Basic Finish Date
You would need to ensure your scheduling parameters do not set this date back to its original value (OPU7).
You could achiev the above through user-exit IWO10009 (SMOD) or BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE (SE18).

Basic start date and scheduled finished date...can we have Planned date?
Is there any "Plan Start Date" in SAP, the date where scheduler must put manually in the system to determine the "committed" date for the work to be executed - based on earliest and latest start date which automatically calculated by SAP?
Our plant must keep the Basic Finish Date unchanged since it is the Required Date of the Work to finish. We found that the Plan Date does not change and I was wondering if there is any way we can have the Planned date on the order header or have the basic finish date unchanged?
Appreciate your advicesHi
As per your query screen variant is the better option to be choose so that here you can go with user id based restriction
Attaching the complete the scenario

Earliest Start and Earliest Finish dates for Tasks
Hi experts,
Can anybody tell me in what table are the Earliest Start and Earliest Finish dates for tasks located? If no table is available does anyone know of a BAPI o function to obtain these dates?
Thanks and best regards,
FernandoHi Wendy!
Thank you so much for your explanation, we have done exactly what you mentioned in your post. In fact we are now using the SCHEDULED_START and SCHEDULED_FINISH instead of the PLANSTART and PLANFINISH.
OK so this is how it went:
In transaction SE11 we added the two fields in our append structure ZDPR_TS_DASHBOARD.
We added them just like they are named:
SCHEDULED_START type DPR_TV_SCHEDULED_START
SCHEDULED_FINISH type DPR_TV_SCHEDULED_FINISH
When doing so, it gave off a warning that SCHEDULED_START and SCHEDULED_FINISH are not customer fields and should have a YY or ZZ in front. I ignored the warning based on your advice and activated the append anyway.
So that´s how the append went.
Next on to the SPRO config:
In the define atributes part, SCHEDULED_START and SCHEDULED_FINISH are already defined as attributes, however I am not sure how the rest of the configurations should go, for example:
Attr.Type, Summarization Rule, Summ. Res, Init Vals., or Reference Attribute.
I left these values standard and didn´t modify anything in this part of SPRO.
Next I checked in the extract layout configuration in SPRO and verified if they were in the 0_Dashboard. It was there alright, but again I am not sure if I should flag any of the two flags in that configuration:
Always Extract and Calculate after Aggr.
I left them blank (standard).
In summary, I didn´t have to do any configuration in SPRO...
I went to the Tasks Dashboard in cProjects and the new columns keep coming with blank values...
What do you think Wendy? Am I still missing something?
Thanks again and regards,

Production order scheduled start/finish dates
Hello experts!
I have a problem with prod. order scheduling. I set the date '07.05.2007' as order start/finish date. If I run <i>Functions -> Schedule -> Order</i> (or save the order) SAP set these dates to '02.01.2008', and scheduling also to '02.01.2008'. The scheduling type is <b>Forwards in time</b>. Scheduling margin: everything is 0.
I have checked the <b>work center capacity</b>:
from 20.04.2007 to 31.12.2007
Lenght of cycle: 1 Start: 06:00:00 End: 23:00:00 Break: 00:00:00 Cap. util.: 100
from 01.01.2008 to 31.12.9999
Standard avail. capacity
(01.01.2008 is non-working day)
Routing exists for this material (valid from 02.03.2007).
Based on what does SAP calculates these dates?
(SAP 46B)Hello guys!
I have found the reason and also the solution. It's a bug in SAP (46B). When it happens?
1) Open work center
2) Create interval with minimum 2 shifts and save
3) Delete first shift of the interval
4) Check table kapa -> field SCHNR (shift sequence number) for the 1st shift in this interval will contain number 2.
If SAP calculates the scheduled date for order it excludes this interval from calculation. We had an interval 20.04.2007 to 31.12.2007 with deleted first shift, so the next workday for SAP was 02.01.2008.
I have created a function, which can solve this problem:
