DAC: Automate purge of Run History Information

Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to automate the purge of Run History log information.
Is there any command line utility to do this?
Can it be done inside DAC?
The following is the DAC information:
Oracle BI Data Warehouse Administration Console
Dac Build AN 10.1.3.4.1.patch.20110427.0538, Build date: April 27 2011
Management console to setup, configure, load and administer the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse
Schema version - 34, Index version - 33, Repository version - 6, Seed data version - 9
Thanks in advance,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Currently there is no out-of-box automation for the DAC Run detail Purge. How ever we can use the below sql's to delete. I strongly don't recommend this for Production but can be used for non-prod. Assuming dacrep is your DAC repository owner.
--SQL 1 set 1
DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_sdtl
WHERE run_step_wid NOT IN (
SELECT row_wid
FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_step
WHERE run_wid IN (
SELECT row_wid
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
WHERE etl_proc_wid IN (
SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run)))
-- SQL set 2
DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_audit
WHERE run_wid NOT IN (
SELECT row_wid
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
WHERE etl_proc_wid IN (
SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run))
-- SQL set 3
DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_summ
WHERE run_wid NOT IN (
SELECT row_wid
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
WHERE etl_proc_wid IN (
SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run))
-- SQL set 4
DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_run_step
WHERE run_wid IN (
SELECT row_wid
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
WHERE etl_proc_wid NOT IN (
SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run))
-- SQL set 5
DELETE FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run
WHERE etl_proc_wid NOT IN (SELECT MAX (etl_proc_wid)
FROM dacrep.w_etl_defn_run)
Please let me know if this worked for you.

Jay

  • Running out of space on free tier due to run history

    Hi there,
I have a quite complex experiment that deals with substantial data. I have run it several times and now suddenly get a message that says that my 10GB space allocation on the free tier is used up. I'm not quite ready to move to the standard tier and would
rather want to clean up my free tier environment. I believe that the storage "wastage" is due to my run history. The problem is that there is no mechanism available to me for purging the run history of my experiment. I am also not allowed to "save
as" the experiment anymore due to the space issue, which would have given me a fresh version of the experiment without the run history. Any advice?
    Regards,
    Albert

    Hi AK,
It really behaves as I described. "Save", "Save As" and "Run" all gave the "please upgrade to Standard tier" message in my case. It might be rare that people run out of the 10GB storage space on the free tier, but
I can assure you that this happened to me - and I believe it was due to my run history.
The good news is that I managed to solve the problem!
Step 1: Copy all R scripts into a notepad (for backup purposes)
Step 2: Take a screenshot of the experiment (for backup purposes)
Step 3: Select whole experiment with mouse and "copy" onto some kind of magical clipboard that understands Azure ML (for backup purposes)
Step 4: Log into the same account a second time and go to the experiment listing page
Step 5: On the first login: Perform a "save as" and say "no" when you see the above mentioned error message. Note that the experiment is now displayed with the new name on the workspace, albeit not saved yet.
Step 6: On the second login: Delete the problematic experiment (which gets rid of the run history!)
    Step 7: Hold your breath!
Step 8: On the first login: "Save" experiment. Since there is now space available again the save is successful!
Step 9: Be glad that you did not end up needing Step 1-3.

    Hi,
Check if program: FDM_COLL_SEND_ITEMS (under t.code FDM_COLL_SEND01 in integ. with AR) also runs regularly, check out the log of job if you are running program automatically.
This program transfers FI-AR data to Collection management, and only then the worklist gets updated with invoice/payment data. The selection to run this program should be radio button "Periodic Data Transfer".

  • Run History Missing from Nano

    Greetings!
So here's the skinny. I have a 1st Gen Nano - have had absolutely no issues with it, or my Nike+ stuff, until a few days ago.
On Saturday, the 24th, I was running, and my Nano had a total battery loss/shut down. It had been giving me (I thought) full battery indicators all week, so I was a bit surprised to check it and find it black/off/won't start back up. But, I connected it to my iBook, let it charge up a bit, fired it up, it synced, the run data it had captured before the battery died was there, everything seemed fine and peachy.
Then Monday I run, and sync, and the run posts to Nike+, so it was obviously saved/captured by my Nano. But when I look at the Nike+ Info tab on iTunes, with my Nano still connected, it has no information for "Latest Workout", and the run totals are now off by one run. Same thing happens for my run Tuesday. The Nano obviously saved my run - because when I synced up it sent the info to Nike+. But nothing shows up in "Latest Workout", and my run totals were then off by 2 runs.
After seeing this I start poking around on the Nano itself, and find it won't load my run history past run #107 - which was in July of 2008. At that point I was up to 205 runs. No matter what I do to reset the Nano, it simply won't load run history past 107.
After doing a reset though, I ran today. Again, the run was saved and sent to Nike+'s website. Only today my run totals went up by one. There is still no info in "Latest Workout", and my run totals are off, but at least today it showed signs of life by upping my totals by one. The run totals on my Nano also reflect the run from today, but are missing the runs from Mon/Tues, and it still won't load any history past run 107.
I'm hoping someone here can shine some light on what is going on. I have a feeling the power failure had something to do with it - but doing a reset isn't fixing the issue. All my iTunes/Nano software is up to date, and was up to date before I noticed this issue. I'm doing resets by holding down "Menu" and the center button. I'm not sure if there is any other sort of reset I can do. I'd really rather not restore the iPod, since I know I'll then lose all my run history data, and that's the whole point - I'm trying to recover that! Plus ... I want it to be accurate again! Unless there is some way to save the history file, try restoring my Nano, and then reloading the history file ... seeing if that helps.
I'm very glad to not be actually losing runs - everything is still being sent to Nike+ - which is where it's most important for it to be tracked anyway. But having the accurate history on my Nano was a big deal to me ... so I'd really like to fix this up so I have all my run data at my fingertips again.
    Thanks!
    ~ Rebecca ~

    NEW INFO
    ======
I have changed iPods 3 times in the last month, and forgot to transfer the calibration information via inVisibles. I was a bit mad losing that info, but eh! Such is life.
Today I just noticed that my last calibration dating back from August 07 was on my new iPod! So it seems that Nike+ or iTunes is actually keeping a record of it, and transfers it to the new iPod when we update our hardware!!!
So basically, if you just want to avoid losing your calibration information when you upgrade, it's now done automatically. Thanks Apple!

  • How can I purge all Local History?

My Local History has somehow gotten corrupted and nothing I have tried has gotten it working again. (See Re: Local History quit working
I've tried turning off Local History and turning it back on, setting "Days to Keep History" to 0 and "Maximum Revisions per File" to 1 (the minimum value it will accept) and then resetting it back to normal values, and even completely deleting the .history folder where the Local History is stored. (After deleting the .history folder, JDeveloper recreates it and repopulates it with old revisions.)
How can I completely purge all of the Local History and start from a clean slate?
    Thanks,
    --Rob Roberts

I finally found where JDeveloper was caching the Local History information. It was in file jdevhome/system/oracle.javatools.cache/anspersist_0.stf.
Deleting that file and the entire jdevhome/system/.history folder has gotten Local History to work right again (although with all previous history information gone, of course).

  • SAP inbox: Automatic Purge?

Sorry if this isn't in the right section but I tried my best.  Is there any way to automatically purge a person's SAP inbox?  We have a few people who get over 100 messages a day and they refuse to delete any of them.  I would love to be able to set up a rule that automatically deletes messages if said messages are n days old.
    Thanks!

    Hello Aaron,
Sorry I had an idea that you are probably well familiar with SAP. No issues still.
Minimum number of documents means the minimum number of documents you want to be deleted. These are read documents and not unread ones. So your statement " provided that there are at least 50 unread documents being preserved? " is not correct per se. Unread documents wont be deleted by SOY9.
minimum age of documents is already clear to you.
In Target group you need to give user id.
For better understanding do test run.
    Regards.

  • Save automatic vendor payment run reference in clearing account assignment

    Hi,
When executing an automatic vendor payment run, the run is identified with two fields:
    - Run date
    - Identification
When the payments are posted, the vendors are cleared and an offsetting entry is posted onto the respective clearing account for each vendor. So if there is 100 vendors in the payment run, there will be 100 line items on the clearing account.
When multiple payment runs are made on the same day, it is hard to separate the line items for each payment run, during the banking process. Each payment run appears with it's total payment amount on the bank statement and should be cleared against the corresponding line items on the clearing account and that's where it becomes hard to easily select the line items that add up to the payment amount.
Unless of course, the assignment field on the clearing account would hold the run date and identification of the payment run.
Has anybody encountered the same business scenario and found a solution for it?

when i check in oby6 business area financial statments as required
if am going to pass a entry in f-02 the after assigning cost center the error is cost center not assigned to business area.
if i am going for caost center to assign business area in tc-ks02 here business area is required entry  if i enterd business area if i saved that one the error is The field change business area isnot possible (transaction data already exists)
Field change Business Area is not possible (transaction data already exists)
    Message no. KS134
    Diagnosis
To ensure the consistency of existing data, you can only change object Business Area if no transaction data exists in the change period; that is, neither plan data nor actual data has been posted.
As transaction data already exists, it is not possible to change objects in this time period.
    Procedure
If you still want to change the object, select a suitable change interval by choosing "Edit -> Analysis period...".
if i follow above menu bar  edit-analysis period  it is giving same error
    appricated

  • Automatic Purging of Recyclebin

    Hi,
Anybody can tell me when recyclebin is purged automatically in Oracle 10g. I was trying to insert some records using a database link in production DB, I am also using an audit table to track all DDL operations by using DDL trigger). At the time of insert, one drop statement is getting recorded in the DDL audit table for an object in recyclebin; this drop command is executed by SYS user.
Could someone share idea about it.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sree.

This i got from Oracle DBA guide
Recycle bin object reclamation policies are as follows:
    • Manual cleanup when you explicitly issue a PURGE command
    • Automatic cleanup under space pressure: While objects are in the recycle bin, their
corresponding space is also reported in DBA_FREE_SPACE because their space is
automatically reclaimable. The free space in a particular tablespace is then consumed
    in the following order:
    - Free space not corresponding to recycle bin objects
    - Free space corresponding to recycle bin objects. In this case, recycle bin objects
are automatically purged from the recycle bin using a FIFO (first in, first out)
    algorithm.
    - Free space automatically allocated if the tablespace is auto extensible
Suppose you create a new table inside tablespace TBS1. If there is free space allocated to
this tablespace that does not correspond to a recycle bin object, this free space is used as a
first step. If this is not enough, then free space is used that corresponds to recycle bin
objects that reside inside TBS1. If the free space of some recycle bin objects is used, these
objects get purged automatically from the recycle bin. At that time, you can no longer
recover those objects by using the Flashback Drop feature. As a last resort, if space
requirement are not yet satisfied, tablespace TBS1 is extended if possible.Baig

    Dear all,
Please suggest what is the procedure after automatic payment is run. what is mostly done.
    Thanks
    Nishan

    Hi,
Onxce you complete  the Payment Run , All the open items Selected for Payment will be cleared and will be shown as cleared Items.  you can view the Payment summary , Advice from the Spool in SPO1 T.code . Checks will be Printed and If its Direct Deposit Amounts will Transfered to respective Vendor Bank accouts throw DME.
At Month end or as per your client requirment you can do BRS either by FF67 (Manual Bank Statement ) or EBS in your SAP System.
These are some Standard SAP Follow up steps done after PAYMENT RUN.
    Thanks

    Hi experts,
How we can get the current running user information in BusinessOne Application,
Based on the user details i want to assign some functionality,
    Regards,
    Saidarao yakkala

    Hi,
As per me you can't get detail by server side.
If you want to know who are connected then you can use sp_who2 procedure in SQL query.
That will display who are login.
For more detail you have to check LOG file on client side in SAP B1 > Log folder.
    Thanks
