Daily stats required from statspack for graph of month activity

Hi All,
I am trying to get a graph of index io on a daily basis, the trouble is the stats are cumulative since database startup and the database is rarely bounced. So what I actually get is a growing value for each day. I expect there is a simple way to correct my code in sqlplus. ( Otherwise PL/SQL beckons)
Here is my code:

JDBC Problem: "select * from NAMES for update of FIRSTNAME"

I am using Oracle 8 and JDBC thin driver. Is there any reason
why when I try to use the statement:
"select * from NAMES for update of FIRSTNAME"
it does NOT work in JDBC?
However when I do the statement in SQL-Plus it works fine.
If anyone has used this statement with success, please let me
know that it actually works, so that I know there is something
wrong with me!
Any code snippets would be very helpful.
Could it be the thin driver?

I don't think this is correct. I have used select for update
with no problems. you can send a "set transaction control"
via sql, I believe, but you shouldn't need to do so...

Wifi: my Cell phone will remember 10 wifi connections. So delete any you don't use often and your home wifi and try to enter home wifi again.
if it still won't connect to home wifi, call your internet provider for help. You may need a newer router or different settings Or upgraded service. Your phone seeks the best connection and will refuse lesser connections.

I have a similar issue. I recently purchased an iPad Mini, and I started off by backing it up from the apps I had on my iPhone. Now, I have a number of apps that never downloaded and that I don't want on the iPad. Some of these are apps that I don't need, while others are the iPhone versions of apps. There are something like 23 apps that I have no use for, but iTunes tries to install every time I connect. I've also tried clicking the 'Will Install' buttons. There's no way to delete these apps from the iPad without first installing them, as far as I can see, and there's no way to NOT install them, in iTunes.
It''s not just annoying, it's causing problems with installation of larger files and movies. Now, every time I sync to the computer, I get a warning that I'm over capacity by 580 MB, and larger apps will not install! Clicking Revert and a bunch of other things doesn't work, either. And I can't just delete some of the apps, because I or my wife use them on our phones!

Is there a solution for graphs that do not translate from Excel to PDF?

We are working on an Excel Spreadsheet with graphs but when we create a PDF of the sheet the graph does not contain the ledger or values. Is there a solution to this problem. We have tried both printing to PDF and exporting to PDF.

Just a note: If you want to print the PDF to paper, it may still not print correctly even though it looks correct on the PDF document- the printed graph may flow off of the paper sheet. When you click Print, a print dialog box opens with some options and a preview. If the preview does not look correct, change the size option to "Shrink oversized pages".

Hi,
As this is for your learning purpose, create the fields as per your requirement. Then create info objects of the same type in BI. Then you try to load the info cube from the flat file.
for example: if my req is to have 4 fields like student name, marks, grade as my info objects. i have create the same fields in the flat file.
Note: you can create the flat file in excel and save it as csv format.

Creative zen V+ still not working after coming back from assistance for the second ti

hallo, what thje hell is happening with creative Zen V+ I got it back from assistance for the second time and it's still not working!!!!!!!!!!! I want my money back now, I'm gonna spam the whole of the internet with this unfunny joke, what the hell I'm suppoised to do I really fed up, since I bought the unit it worked for less than one month and for another one it's been back to the assistance for two times!!!! And still it's not working!!!! Now let me tell you this creative zen V + is a worthless, costly, cheap piece of crap, and I mean crap, what the hell am I supposed to do now Send it back for the third time 249 euros for this crappy piece of cheapo plastic Please is it allowed me to send it back and having in change some olther player I don't mean it to be trendy or flashy or all of the usual marketing **bleep** coming with these, I just want a player that actually play my music, a player I can load all my music without the application to freeze, the player to freeze and me having to format and reboot again and again. Is it creative capable to accomplish such task, do they still know how to build an mp3 player that actually work without me having to buy and install windows vista Or they don't Do creative have some old player still in stock zen touch wasn't stilish but worked well until the HD dyied, zen V plus isn't working as it is supposed to do, plain and simple. What do I have to do now in case you are wondering the malfunction is still the same.

For the Zen V, as it states on the box, you need Windows XP Service Pack or 2, or Windows Vista. You also need Windows Media Player 0 or . As long as you have that, you should be fine there.
You may also have a corrupted file that is causing the problem. Try not transferring them all at once, transfer it in blocks instead. If one block fails to transfer, try and narrow it down and see if it's a specific file in that block causing the problem.
When you try it on another PC, do be sure that PC meets the system requirements, especially the Service Pack if it's Windows XP. You'd be shocked how many times people try it on a 2nd computer, get angry when it doesn't work, call tech support, and find out the 2nd PC doesn't even have SP on it.
All else failing of course contact Support. They can't help you if you don't let them know what's going on, and if you don't yell at them they'll do their absolute best, trust me.

Help with GL Daily Rates download from website in to Excel

Hi all,
I have a requirement wherein I need to create a concurrent program that will update the daily rates table in GL. The rates need to be pulled from www. oanda.com
If anybody has any experience in updating the daily rates table automatically would appreciate if that is shared.
Here the problem that I have is that we are planning to get daily rates from oanda.com So I am looking for some method to get data from site and upload interface table
automatically. We can also receive daily csv files from them mailed at our inbox, but then not getting any clue as to how can we automatically FTP the file to unix box
so that we can then use that file to insert records into interface table. Any kind of response is welcome and appreciated.

GROUP BY ROLLUP with daily stats

I am pretty new to the group by rollup clause and I want to rollup daily stats into monthly subtotals. When I try to rollup this data by month, it rolls it day by day and then gives me a subtotal of all months together and then a grandtotal at the bottom for all interface_id. Is it possible to take daily stats and roll them up by month. I'm confused.

Yes, I would like to sum by month. This is opposed to building in-line views to sum up all of the daily stats into a month subtotal. To get 12 months of data using daily stats, I would have to build 12 in-line views. YUK! I would much rather use this cool group by rollup command to sum daily stats by month.
Any clarity on this function would be appreciated.

I tried writting sql but not able to get the proper results, please help.

I'd also do this the way MOD says.
But if you are feeling adventurous, you could explore cascading delete. You can specify a primary key with "on delete cascade", which makes referred-to records automatically delete. Google for oracle delete cascade or search your Oracle docs.
I wouldn't do cascading deletes myself, though. For one, I've ran into enough trouble with many "smart" db features when trying to do db administration.

New Stat requirement

Hi,
We have a stat requirement wherein one of our cocds for which the functional currency is USD (though it's in MX), the amounts to the stat ledger (account) should be posted only in PESOs and not in USD and shouldn 't be revalued. We are looking at 2 options:
1. Create a new cocd with stat accounts and functional currency as PESO. The documents posted in original cocd should flow into this new cocd as well but converted into PESO. Is it possible via std SAP to have monthly feed from one CoCd to another and have transactional currency changed using the conversion rate or do I have to go for a custom program?
2. Mirror the GL accounts in the orignal cocd and mass upload all the transactions from original account to these new stat accounts using PESO currency. But this shouldn't be revalued at month end? Is that possible?
Is there any other solution? We don't have New GL implemented to go in the direction of parallel ledgers. Please advise

Are the GL Accounts balance sheet or PL accounts?
Because if they are of the second type, that means they should reflect data to CO (Controlling) module. And in this case, you should use a Cost Object (like Cost Center or Internal Order) to post in FI (Financials) module.
Added to that, you could use CO module to have the information in the desired currency. See, in CO we have three currency types: Controlling Area Currency, Object Currency and Transactional Currency. During the posting from FI to CO, SAP R/3 automatically converts the currencies by using the existing exchange rates into the system. So, if your cost objects currencies are in PESO (see KO03 transaction for Internal Orders or KS03 for Cost Centers), then I think it is just a matter of choosing the best report (CO report) that fulfills your requirement. But if they are not, one of the solutions you could think about is to create a new Controlling Area and define as the Controlling Area currency the PESO one. Then it is also just a matter of choosing the best report (CO report) that fulfills your requirement.
