Data access in reports after changing Member Access profile
Hi All
I made changes in the member access profile of a user (while current system was available for User Planning).
After making and applying these changes in Access profile, the Current view in the report accessible to user got updated.
But the problem was in reporting, where the updates didnot happen.
Please suggest for necessary steps so that user get updated report as per change in Member access profile.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Abhishek
Hi Lokesh
Thanks for the reply.
1. Report is based on CV
2. With another ID assigned to same member access profile, the report is showing complete data.
I mean with X user id 100 data sets are showing while with Y user id only 95 data sets. Where both X and Y are having same Member Access Profiles.
Regards
Abhishek

Could not ping and access a server after changing its ip
I could not ping and access a (destination) machine from another (source) machine after changing destination machine ip although I modified hosts file and hosts map in the source machine
I can access the destionation using IP. This problem happened in case of using hostname not IP
My source machine is omcsp4 (192.6.6.40) and destination machine is omcsp8 (10.57.217.80).
Here is the host file for two machines:

I've change from "server" to "machine" to avoid misunderstandUpdate for this situation
omcsp4
IP: 192.6.6.40
omcsp8
old IP: 192.6.6.180
new IP: 10.57.217.80
When I ping from omcsp4 to omcsp8, there's no answer and the hostname is resolved as *192.6.6.180* which is the old IP. But in hosts file, the IP is the new one.
omcsp4:omcadmin > ping -a omcsp8
no answer from omcsp8(192.6.6.180)
omcsp4:omcadmin > grep omcsp8 /etc/hosts
10.57.217.80 omcsp8
omcsp4:omcadmin > ypcat hosts | grep omcsp8
10.57.217.80 omcsp8
omcsp4:omcadmin > ping 10.57.217.80
10.57.217.80 is alive
These above operations show that the hosts file and NIS are both updated with the new IP address of omcsp8. But when i ping omcsp8 (by name) it returns the old IP address. So the question is from where the system omcsp4 resolve the hostname omcsp8??? -
My VI is writing the same amount of data into spreadsheet file even after changing the for-loop iteration time
You should post the VI (with appropriate values saved as default) to this thread. (At least a JPEG or PNG screenshot).
Inside the For Loop, right-click on the N terminal and create Indicator. Run the VI and you will see how many times the Loop spins.
Further guessing: You may have a 2D array with two rows and many columns feeding the For Loop. -
Testing Report's data on OOTB Reports after first Run
Hi Gurus,
I am getting Data in the Financial Analytics Reports after doing all the required configurations, but how do i test if the data thats coming is correct.
( I think somebody needs to create and fire the SQL in EBS database and recreate the same exact report from sql)
But for this, one should be well versed with the Payables, Receivables and General Ledger Data model..
Should this testing be done by an OBIA Consultant?
Need guidance here , as i am the only one doing all the stuff here... and its overwhelming with the amount of knowledge and work required.
My source is EBS R 12.1.3
BI Apps version is 7.9.6.4
OBIEE 11.1.1.6.11
Thanks
AshishHi Ashish,

I can't stream photos from iPhone to mac after changing my iCloud profile, please help
After changing my email adress, thus icloud profile, my photos taken from my iphone won't stream to iphoto. Before the change everything was running smooth. I change my settings in both my mac and my iphone, and wifi is on just in case, please hep
The following link has 2 methods for importing photos to a Mac (not counting Photo Stream). Are you using iPhoto or Image Capture? If you follow the steps in the link for that method, what exactly happens that doesn't allow the upload? iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

Weird error message I got after changing my Access Log Settings
"Try to refresh the view (localhost/Web). Report the problem to the administrator if it persists. (NILRESPONSEERR (* -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (0) beyond bounds (0)))"
I can't seem to get into server admin to change back what I did. I copied access log settings from a known good working server and after hitting save I get this. Tried restarting with no luck.
Anyone know where to start looking at? Ever encountered this before?Jul 14 15:40:13 www servermgrd[41]: servermgr_web: Invalid CustomLog directive '"/var/log/apache2/access_log"'

User cannot access Crystal reports after user was deleted and recreated
We are using Crystal Enterprise XIr2. We are using Windows AD authentication. We had an issue with a user where they were deleted in Active Directory. Now they can no longer run Crystal reports. When I go into the CMC and open users I see this user. When I try to open this user I get the following error
There was an error while retrieving data from the server: Active Directory Authentication failed to get the Active Directory groups for the account with ID "8B003DF11D45B244AC3B61AB36B6C445:ALLENDG". Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain.
I think Crystal is still trying to access the user's old Active Directory account.
I cannot delete the user either in CMC.
Is there someway I can correct this user.
Thanks
AdamArjun - Thank you for your help. I looked in Central Management Console but I could not find what you indicated.
CMC--> Public Folder --> Administration Tools
In administration tool, there are two objects
1) Update Windows AD Group Graph
2) Update Windows AD Group Graph and Aliases --> Right click on this Report and click on RUN Now.
I ended up deleting the records for this user in these SQL tables and then user could access InfoView
CMS_Aliases5 (2 records for this user)
CMS_InfoObjects5 (1 record with both aliases) -
Can't access Skype Credit after changing email acc...
I changed the email address linked with my Skype Account a few months back. After that I have lost access to my Skype Credit. How do I go about retrieving my old Skype credit? Also, is there a Skype support email id I can contact?
Hi autobull,
You may try to call the support (they seemed to be quite much aware of the problem - password management between Ovi and Yahoo is veeery fragile), or then try to contact bretj in this forum. He sorted it out for me, but I think support would have done it also - sooner or later.
Lesson learnt: never change your Ovi password.

WRT54G2 - can no longer access router webpage after changing setting
hello i've started gaming again so i ended up configuring a static IP using the network and sharing centre in the control panel and i'm online with the fixed IP, and i had some ports forwarded in my router web page and everything has been working great the past 2 days. however, earlier this morning i could not join any games all of a sudden even tho i played 1 when i just got up, so i went to my router home page and changed a setting, i'll link a screen shot, i'm pretty sure i just changed the local IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.10 (which is what i set it as 2 days ago in the control panel network tcp ip4 thing) it's possible i modified somethin in the dchp server section but i was nearly convinced that was disabled anyways. http://screenshots.portforward.com/routers/Linksys/WRT54G2/Basic_Setup.htm is the link if it helps
anyways like the thread title says, i can no longer access the router web page which was 192.168.1.1, instead all i see is a sickening image about something called internet information services!? talk about a weird thing to see when i expected to see my router web page. but it's related to microsoft so it's not malacious at least. any ideas on how i fked up so bad and how to fix it, so i can see the router web page again, and edit the settings back to the way it was this morningI can't access either and c ant get a connection plugging in my laptop I got a new modem and I'm trying to configure my modem to my wrt54g2 and lost
Hi randallel, you may have to do a hard reset before reconfiguring your router with the new modem. To do the proper reset, please press down the reset button for 30 seconds while the power is on. Release the button and unplug the device. Plug it back in and reinstall the settings based on the type of Internet connection that you have. Hope this helps. -
Cannot access Crystal Reports after adding SP1
On a new install of Crystal Reports 2008 I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip) to try to update my .NET to the new version of Crystal. I now get the error message:
The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll.
I also added the update from 'cr120_redist_install.zip' which will allow my users to access the .NET files and programs they need. (This I did only on one machine to test its success)
I am sure it is a case of inexperience but can you help me get back in business with Crystal Reports 2008Hmmm, "... I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip)"
That file is not the SP 1 download. Sp 1 is here:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100010503722008E/cr2008_sp1.exe
So. At this point, I'm not really clear as what has been done and why.
E.g.; "...I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip) to try to update my .NET to the new version of Crystal"
- this sounds kinda muddled up...
And this: "I also added the update from 'cr120_redist_install.zip' which will allow my users to access the .NET files and programs they need. " also does not sound right.
I'd recommend uninstalling CR 2008 on your development system. Reinstall and then Apply SP 1 from the above link. This will update you to CR 2008 SP1 on the development computer.
Now, if you are then trying to deploy a .NET app to a client, use the MSI from here:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011722132008E/cr121_redist_install.zip
or you can build your own deployment project using the msm from here:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011715292008E/cr121_mm.zip

I can't access my email after changing my password
Yesterday, I changed my passwords to my yahoo and gmail accounts. After my iphone prompted me to update my phone with the new passwords, I did just that. My new password to my yahoo account was accepted, but it keeps denying my gmail password. Has anyone had these issues? I've tried restarting my phone, deleting the email account and adding it again, but was unsuccessful. Can someone help me?!!!
SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transport Protocol. It's used to sending email. This would be a server that your ISP or mail provider defines. POP or IMAP is usually the protocol used by your mail provided to receive email.

Fields missing in MPD report after change to structure and program
I have been working on a consistency report for transaction MPD.
I had created a structure in SE11 for handling the data. it was all working, but then i had to go and change the name of the fields in the structure. Now those fields are missing from the report.
When i step through the debugger, all the fields are being populated correctly, but these fields are not displayed on screen. if i change the field names back in the structure and change the code for populating these fields, they appear okay.
i have created a custom implementation within BAdi MPD_WKB_REPORTING.
i have checked the config and it all points to my Z Structure and Z Table Type. I have logged off and logged back on! made sure my code is saved and activated...
any ideas on how i can display these new fields names/values?
Just for clarity, the field name has changed. not the linked data type.thanks for your response, however those notes and program have not done anything to assist my issue.
i have found the anwser now!
within the BAdi was a method i had to amend: IF_EX_MPD_WKB_REPORTING~GET_ALV_PARAMETERS
all fixed now! -
BIA Master Data Index Not Updated After Change Run
In BIA it shows master data 0VERSION table /BI0/SVERSION has 360 records which matches with the number of entries in SE16 /BI0/SVERSION. One record was added to 0VERSION so now SE16 /BI0/SVERSION shows 361 records. I did a change run for this infoobject 0VERSION but the BIA index for /BI0/SVERSION still only show 360 records. I expect it to show 361 records after the change run. Is this a bug? Thanks.
Hi Thao,
I see one of 3 possible scenarios:
1) You load 0VERSION as a part of master data load (from flat file or another system). You see your 11th record in version "M" after load and then you run change run that makes "A" version of the record. ---> BIA index should be automatically updated. If not - open OSS message to SAP.
2) You load transactional data in an InfoCube, and it has new value for characteristic 0VERSION. ---> In this case you need to run roll-up of this new load request in the InfoCube to let BIA index be in-sync.
3) You are modifying 0VERSION manually (e.g. SQL INSERT statement), so system is not aware of new record at all. ---> You need to run the mentioned single-table-index program to update BIA index.
Is it any of these 3 scenarios, or you have the 4th one?

Refreshing Word Reports after changes made in Publisher.
I am runing the word to publisher to bi answers chain. I made a change to the reports in bi answers by adding a column. The new column does not show up as a selection in Word Insert>Field Menu.
When I view the publisher Xml of the report the columns for the report are there. But the word add-on does not seem to find them.
Also because the default columns names are conversions of the formulas from BI Answers just typing them out is not to convient. (I could still copy and paste from xml). Is there sometype of cache keeping old versions of the reports in the word add-on.It is a shame I can't get answers points for my own questions but here seems to be the problem.
The word add-on is the problem and the inability to change the field/element names of the reports in publisher. The two go together because the word add on has a hick-up when handling long report element names. These names are long because publisher constructs it's dataxml from the formula field of BI Answers reports. Not the header field or some other alias. So if the formula field of a data metric, combines multiple pieces of data, then does some math, and divides itself by another hodge podge of fields you have a chance that the word add on will not find the field in its "insert>Field>Menu box". I have a feeling that it is there but not in the menu box I just haven't had a chance to check. I will update the post when I do.
Short Answer the word add on is buggy.
Side note to get the field list to reload you have log off and log on in the word add on. If not the field list will not reload. -
Orders Cancelled after changing Member ID on account
So yesterday I realized that when I had purchased my Gamers Club Unlocked membership it got put onto the wrong email address. I then noticed you could switch the member id's around so I associated the GCU membership with the email address I wanted. However, now everytime I try to place an order on that account, I get the generic "unable to verify" order cancellation message. Can anyone take a look and tell me why exactly my orders are being cancelled?
Good morning rlkeen13,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for posting.
An Unlocked membership being moved from one My Best Buy™ account to another is not going to cause a BestBuy.com order to be cancelled, so it is more likely the shipping/billing information that is being entered is not 100% correct. I would definitely suggest double checking your information before submitting another order, and I would also suggest that we look into merging your two My Best Buy™ accounts.
I would like to go over your cancelled orders with you in a bit more detail and gather some additional information from you, so I will be sending you a private message. To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page. I look forward to further speaking with you.
Merging My Best Buy™ Accounts
I hope you have a fantastic day!
