Data needs to be seen thru pa30 transaction as well.

Hi All,
I have enhanced infotype 0023 ( Previoues emploment). As a enhancement I have added three fields in PA0023.
The three fields stores position and the experience in years and months of an employee in previous organization.
In pa30 screen as soon as user gives the start data and end date in IT0023 of begda and endda and presses enter , the difference of start dt and end dt is calulated and shown in
in customized field, also this gets stored in PA0023 table.
But the problem is while seeing the allready created records in pa0023 thru PA30 transaction, the value of year and month is shown as 0. Thru se11/se16, I can see the actual values but thru pa30 not able to see the actual value.
As per the requirement the actual value of years and months should be displayed thru pa30 .
Please suggest.

Have you enhanced the infotype from PM01 ???
Are you check the data from same period for the employee. There might be multiple number of records for that employee.
Also check in PA20.

Hi,
I have created a record for Infotype 14 for a Pernr thru PA30 Transaction for Wage Type 1140. I entered the data on the next screen and saved the data.
One recoed was created in Infotype 0014, but the amount(BETRG) field is blank.
When I go to PA20/PA30 Transaction and view the Pernr-Infotype-Subty, I can see the value there, but in PA0014, though the record is being created, but the value is missing.
I asked the Functional Consultant and he told me that this value is not stored in Infotype 14 because this wage type is for Indirect Evaluation. There are some rules based on which the amount is calculated.
Can you help me how to get the values, does anyone know in which table these values will be stored?

The affect of the wage type can be because of different infotypes. If U intend to check all of them it amy take lot of time. U can go to data element 'LGART' and select the where used list (Tablke fields). Here u can refine ur search by choosing only the tables starting with PA*

In me32L if i give the scheduling agreement number->then select the particular item->select the item condition button->selecting validity period->updating the amount field in KONP-KBETR manually then the EKPO-NETPR is getting updated.
where as if i try thru BDC its not getting.

Issue with pa30 transaction for the infotype 15

I am creating additional payments for the infotype 15 in PA30 transaction.
i followed following steps: wage type
                                     amount
                                     date of origin
                                     assignment number
then i clicked Maintain cost assignment button there i entered cost center 1027 . anybody can tell me where this cost center will save i need that table name.

Views in Oracle DB not seen thru DBConnect

Has anyone come across a situation where a View created on an Oracle DB is not seen thru DB Connect ?
I have views created on an Oracle DB, which can be confirmed independently via pl/sql. When I establish link between a SAP BW and the Oracle DB using a DB Connect, (-intention being to extract data from the Oracle DB into the BW) I dont seem to see some of the views. I am trying to repeat the case to see if there is an issue with 'Grant Access' on the Oracle side. Any ideas ?

When you said I dont seem to see some of the views, Do you mean you can actually see other views?
Now you problem is easy if thats the case since you just need to pattern your view to whatever attributes your other views that is VIEWABLE via DBConnect posseses. (Rights, data types f the fields, number of fields, length of each field, etc.)
Check the data types. I think there is an issue with Date Data Types in Oracle, I think you have to convert it to CHARS.

I am not sure how ur business is running on. let me tell if u r doing the transaction in the webui are ic agent make sla date fields in display and edit mode based on the authorization or the business role. in case of gui not sure you need to debug and identify the authorization object for that one.

File Date needs to be insterted into Table

We process/insert two CSV files from the file system into the DB that is executed from a CRON job(I think).
The CRON job calls SQLPLUS and calls the stored procedures to load the files. The SPs are using UTIL_FILE to open and read the file.
This works well but now I need to get the date the file was created and insert that as well.
Anyone know how I can get file date?

Some simple method for fetching the creation date of your file from OS and insert it into oracle DB is :-
Method 1:
1. in your cron tab fist write a shell script ( is you know the name of your file ) like this
ls -l my_file.csv | cut -b52-63 > my_file.date
this will write the creation date of CSV file in to a text file.
2. Since you know the name of your file ( just file extention is changed ) You can read this file from you stored procedure thru UTL file package. Read the Date from that file an insert into your Db.
i.e. your unix shell script will contain a command that i have mentioned in step one, and the call of that procedure.
Method 2:
Another way is
create a shell script ( say a.sh ) like this
1) echo 'insert into x (x) values (' > a.sql
echo "'" >> a.sql
ls -l my_file.csv | cut -b52-63 >> a.sql
echo "'" >>a.sql
echo ');' >> a.sql
echo 'commit;' >>a.sql

While uploading data into the r/3 using call transaction or session method

while uploading data into the r/3 using call transaction or session method error occured in the middle of the processing then how these methods behaves it transfers next records or not?

Session method: The records are not added to the database until the session is processed. sy-subrc is not returned. Error logs are created for error records. Updation in database table is always Synchronous.
Call Transaction method: The records are immediately added to the database table. sy-subrc is returned to 0 if successful. Error logs are not created and hence the errors need to be handled explicitly. Updation in database table is either Synchronous or Asynchronous.
While to transfer the data from the through if any errors occurs until the errors are the complete the data is not transfer to the SAP system.
the system compulsory shows the errors. that errors are stored into the error logs (Transaction is SM35).
so the session method should not return any value.
In call transaction method data is directly pass to the SAP system.
So its compulsory return the value.
Because of the call transaction is the function.
A function should return the value mandatory
In session method errors stroed in SYSTEM GENRATED ERROR LOG.
IN CALL TRANSACTION TO CAPTURE THE ERRORS WE SHOULD PERFORM THE FOLLOWING.
FIRST ME MUST DECLARE AN INTERNAL TABLE WITH THE STRUCTURE OF BDCMSGCOLL TABLE.
THEN WHILE WRITING THE CALL TRANSACTION STATEMENT WE SHOULD PUT THE 'E' MODE FOR CAPTURING ALL THE ERRORS.
THEN FINALLY THE CAPTURED ERRORS MUST TO SENT TO THE INTERNAL TABLE WHICH WE DECLARED IN THE BEGINNING WITH BDCMSGCOLL BY USING THE FUNCTION MODULE "FORMAT_MESSAGE"

HI experts,
I've successfully installed Landscape Verification 1.0 for my SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 SP20.
Then I added the role SAP_SMSY_LV_ALL of users and triggered transaction LVSMLOAD_. But the background task runs only 1 minute. OK, then run the transaction LVSM and shows the error:
The data needed for landscape verification is missing or incomplete (33 % available).
Already met someone with this error?

I keep getting this.
The Bank and Paypal states that Adobe needs to process my transaction twice.
I have no order number/ no status nor contact from Adobe. I called customer service and he transferred me to sales where the phone rang with no answer.

Unfortunately, iOS 7 is too hard to push for the iPhone 4 and therefore has a lot of effects turned off to try to get it to run as smoothly as possible.
However, it becomes better and better with each update coming but it's hard to do anything about the hardware on an already released phones.
If you still have trouble or think they are too hard. My tip is, if so, to restore your iPhone 4 and make a clean setup with no iCloud backup. But all your photos in a photostream so you can access it later.

Data needs to be seen thru pa30 transaction as well.
