Data source creation for service contract configuration
Hello all,
I have to create a data source for extraction of service contract configuration. I think this could work like data source creation for sales order creation, but I don't know waht to enter in transaction CTBW. Anyone here has done this previously? Any pointers and/or the strategy you've used will be useful.
Kind regards,
Simon
Hi,
If you are asking about "CRM sales contracts", The following help gives the info about standard ODS and Datasource.

I need to upload Master Data from Flat File. Can anybody tell step by step right from begining of creation of DataSource up to Loading into Master Data InfoObject.
can any body have Document.
Regards,
Chakri.Hi,
This is the procedure.
1. Create m-data with or without attributes.
2. Create infosource .
a) with flexible update
or
b) with direct update
3. Create transfer rules and assign tyhe names of m-data and attribute in "Transfer rules" tab and transfer them to communication structure.
4. Create the flat-file with same stucture as communication structure.
5. if chosen direct update then create infopackage and assign the name of flat-file and schedule it.
6. if chosen flexible update the create update rule with assigning name of the infosource and the schedule it by creating infopackage.
Hope this helps. If still have prob then let me know.

Billing Plan for Milestone Billing
Milestone billing means distributing the total amount to be billed over multiple billing
dates in the billing plan.
As each milestone is successfully reached, the customer is billed either a percentage of
the entire project cost or simply a pre-defined amount.
During sales order processing, the system determines from the item category whether a
billing plan is required and, if so, which type of plan
The type of billing plan that is determined at this point is set up in Customizing and
cannot be changed in the sales document.
Billing plans for periodic billing and milestone billing plans for project-related milestone
billing have different overview screens so that you can enter data relevant to your
processing.
For example, for milestone billing, you must be able to enter data to identify the
individual milestones.
IMG configuration requires :-
1. Maintain billing plan types for milestone billing in OVBO.
2. Define date description in SM30 - V_TVTB.
3. Maintain Date Category for Billing Plan Type IN OVBJ.
4. Allocate date category in SM30 - V_TFPLA_TY.
5. Maintain date proposal for Billing Plan Type in OVBM.
6. Assign Billing Plan Type to Sales Documents Type in OVBP.
7. Assign Billing Plan Type to Item Categories in OVBR.
8. Define rules for determining the date in OVBS.
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan.
Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System
confirms that the milestone is completed.
Delivery-relevant order items for which a milestone billing plan applies are billed on the
basis of the requested delivery quantity and not on the total of the confirmed quantities.
The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
To display the project-related data for a schedule line, proceed as follows:
In one of the overview screens of the sales document, select
1. Item -> Schedule lines.
2. Mark the schedule line and select Procurement details.
The following figure shows an example of milestone billing where only the Contract have
been billed :
Order Item Turbine 100,000
Billing Plan
Billing date Description % Value Billing Block Milestone Billing Status
01-10-94 Contract 10 10,000 - x x
01-03-95 Assembly 30 30,000 x x
01-04-95 Maintenance 30 30,000 x x
01-05-95 Acceptance 30 30,000 x x
01-06-95 Final invoice .. .. x
Network/Activities
Milestone Estimate Actual
Assembly 01-03-95 01-03-95
Maintenance 01-04-95
Acceptance 01-05-95
For each billing date in a milestone billing plan, you can specify whether the billing
date is:
1. fixed
2. always updated with the actual date of the milestone
3. updated with the actual date of the milestone, if the date is earlier than the
planned billing date for the date

An error occurred querying a data source - with REST services
Hi,
I have a SharePoint 2013 form library library with an info-path form. I need to get the logged in user's 'Display Name' on my form load automatically.
I used REST service to fetch the current user details. In the preview mode of the form, its showing the right name. But when I publish this form to library I am getting the following error.
REST Service --> http://site url/_api/SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager/GetMyProperties
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance for your time and reply :)Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that an error occurred querying a data source with REST services.
It is defiantly permission issue with GetUserProfileByName service
and could be many reasons of this problem. You first try with UDCX file and make sure that UPS is running.

How to create service items and sales order for service contracts.
Hi,
I have created item using Purchased Item template and one more item(service item) using service /warranty program template. Then I have used these items to create sales order with service item in it and closed that order , but Iam not getting this order in service contracts. Is this right way to create sales order for service items. I
item name:- personal_computer
copied from purchased order template. service is enabled and install base is checked and enable service coverage is enabled.
item name:- service_item
copied from service /warranty program template
service is selected to inactive,
service type: service
duration: 1 year
template: Gold
and saved the item.
Then I have used these two items in sales order for service contracts. But that sales order is not hitting in service contracts. Is there any error with item creation.
Thanks,

Hi all,
In general info tab in data source creation(BI 7.0) there is a option of delievery of duplicate records and it hae 3 option and they are undefined, none, allowed.so my question is how undefined is diff. from the other two?Hi Neha,
This indicator gives information on how the DataSource behaves within a request with regard to duplicate records:
' ' The status of the DataSource is unknown.
'0' The DataSource does not deliver any duplicate records within a request, with reference to its key.
'1' The DataSource can deliver duplicate records within a request, with reference to its key. However, no duplicate records are delivered in a data package.
This indicator is particularly important for delta-capable attribute tables and text tables.
For the settings '0' and '1' you also have to define a key for the DataSource. This can be either in the DDIC using the maintenance for the corresponding field property of the extract structure fields, or (alternatively or additionally) in the metadata of the Datasource. A field in the DataSource also has the additional attribute ' DataSource Key Field', which transfersor corrects the DDIC property where necessary.
Use
For a key of time-independent master data or time-independent texts, DataSources can transfer several data records to BI in a request. If data records are transferred to the BI system more than once within a request, this can be the result of the application and you should not see it as an error. In a master data update, the BI system provides functions to handle duplicate data records. When data is loaded into another InfoProvider, the relevant handling must be coded manually, preferably in the end routine for the transformation.
Hope its clear now...

BOM IN CRM Only for Service Contract
Hello
We want have a BOM explosion working in CRM for service contracts
Here are the details :
We have replicated the materials from ECC to CRM. We are not maintaining any BOMu2019s in ECC.
The idea is that we maintain the BOM Structure in CRM only, as we donu2019t want to have the Items as a billable item in a position, only for information purposes (or later on for metering)
We have maintained the product category for the header product in CRM so we are able to maintain depended components
(Relationship type SCDEC S Dependent Components (DC) )
Not we are able to assign dependent component to the header material
Item category groups:
We understand that the standard item category groups that should be used are ERLA for the header product and LUMF for the Item product.
In order to support the same functionality for the given item category group , maintained at the product level in ECC we copied the same setting for the item category group from the standard to
our settings.
Standart
Tx type Item Cat Group item category structure scope
TA ERLA TAQ A single level Explosion of Structured Product
TA LUMF TAP A single level Explosion of Structured Product
So we have copied TAQ to ZTAQ and TAP to ZTAP.
ZS01 is a copy of SC (service contract)
Tx type Item Cat Group item category structure scope
ZS01 ZLEI ZTAQ A single level Explosion of Structured Product
ZS01 LEIS ZTAP A single level Explosion of Structured Product
But when we use a header product in the service contract, we cannot see the BOM is exploding.
We have also created some products in CRM with exactly the same Item Category groups as the standard and when we create a standard order (TA) in CRM, the BOM is NOT exploding.
Questions:
Is it possible to have the BOM setup only in CRM, like we try to do it?
Is it possible to use our own item category groups in CRM more is the functionality only working with ERLA and LUMF?
Is it possible to use the BOM Explosion in Service contracts as well ?
What steps are we missing to get the BOM explosion in CRM ?
Thank you for your help

Edited by: Frank Foerstner Foerstner on Dec 9, 2011 12:34 PMThanks Nablan, I could do that for multiple header coming in file. But I have a question for you on BAdI ALM_ME_006_GOODSMVT. I have implemented this BAdI , and this BAdI is called by a function Module ALM_MEREP_006_CREATE. When I test this FM giving the Material , Orderid and Movement type entries, this BAdI is triggered when giving a breakpoint. I've given this code for changing the movement type to 961. Cause the stanadrd scenario does not maintain Movement type 961 in Mobile Asset Management. The Movement type 961 for unplanned Materials comes to SAP and changes to 261 as maiantained by TCOKO table. To bypass this & retain the movement type 961 in SAP I'm using this BAdI. Currently this is what I'm doing and am stuck in the method interface how do I call the method.

Please help me to get the data in this method. How do I call this. -
Error with data source creation
Error during Data Source creation: weblogic.common.ResourceException: DataSource

I have already created oraclePool with the following properties:
Name : oraclePool

Driver: weblogic.jdbc.oci.Driver
Properties:
user=system
server=myserver
In weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file:

<res-ref-name>jdbc/GangsterDataSource</res-ref-name>
<jndi-name>jdbc.GangsterDB</jndi-name>

<res-ref-name>jdbc/GangsterDataSource</res-ref-name>
<res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
<res-auth>Container</res-auth>
</resource-ref>
Do I need to make changes in my Entity Bean files? I have made a datasource called
GangsterDB. I do not know the reason for this error. Please do let me know.
Error during Data Source creation: weblogic.common.ResourceException: DataSource

Thank you
Ronak ParekhI am still getting the same error:
Unable to deploy EJB: OrganizationEJB from sempire_bc.jar
The DataSource with the JNDI name: OrganizationDB can not be located. Please ensure
that the DataSource has been deployed
successfully and that the JNDI name in your EJB Deployment descriptor is correct.
In my console, I have created a connection pool 'oraclePool' and 3 datasource
'jdbc.GangsterDB', 'jdbc.OrganizationDB' and
'jdbc.JobDB'. I have also specified the target server and there seems to be no
error. I have checked 'Monitor All Connection

am getting and have no clue how to solve it.
Thank you

Service contract configuration & complete steps....
Hi Gurus.....
Pls give me complete steps to follow for the configuration of Service contract and Value contrct....
Thanks in advance,
-baskarhi Bhaskar
If u want to create new document types for service and value contracts.. Copy SC-service contract and WK1-Value Contract and WK2--Material -relevant value contract.. and define with Z letter..
Or if u want to create service contract or value contract with ur new created document types .. go to
T-code-va41 and enter document type-- for service contract enter SC
For Value Contract
First u have to create assortment module..
in that u have enter all the material that u want to give to customer ... For each material value and material name.
For creating Assortment Module --- sap easy accessmenu
Log--sales and distribution- Master dataproductsvalue contractAssortment Moduleor T-code--WSV2
After Creating assortment Module .. now create value contract in t code--va41 and then insert Assortment Module number in line item and enter material... and save it and after Create sales order with reference to Value Contract it will automatically takes into another screen there u have to enter material and quantity..
This is for Value Contract..
Another one is WK2--Materia-value contract.
same as above only but here u can create for particular material..
In Serivce Contract means u r giving service for some materials for some time..
if any doubts reply me... -

You can schedule VF04/VF06 for your requirement, such that VF06 will run every 15/30 minutes and will generate billing document for your contracts automatically.
Else go for Z extension development which will assign as output type to your contract and once triggered it will create invoice.
