For this issue, you can add the following line of code into the pickerdialog.master which lays in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS

Recently we have moved our web application from one server to another in Sharepoint 2010. Back up of entire web application was taken and restored in another server. But in the new server , the PDF files in the document library is not getting opened in browser.
it always open in browser
I have already made following changes but didn,t work
Set browser file handling to Permissive from central admin
Set "open in browser" in setting s of doc library
Set the doc library file handling property using $docLib = $web.lists["Your Document Library Title"] $docLib.BrowserFileHandling = "Permissive" $docLib.Update()
Added "AllowedInlineDownloadedMimeType.Add("Application/Pdf") in web app
Installed Adober eader in client machine
Even after trying all these, the PDF files are still opening in Client application(Adobe reader) but not in the browser
It would have been great help if anybody provide a solution for this. I have been banging head on this for two days

To answer your question, you've tried most things that I normally see working, but there may be an extra solution here for you. The solution 2 Powershell that deals with updating the Inline MimeType may help.

People picker is not working for ie11 but working fine for other lower version

i am using sharepoint 2010 and windows authentication
recently i have updated my ie to ie11 and problem goes here.
when i try to select from people picker, there are an unexpected error happened
however when i use other ie version, people picker work fine, what goes wrong?
i have already added my system as trusted site
if there any others thing i miss out?

According to your post, my understanding is that People picker is not working for ie11 but working fine for other lower version.
IE 11 is known to have compatibility issues on SharePoint 2010, please make sure to:
first of all, try installing latest update for IE 11 (several compatibility issues were fixed since the first release)
add the site to compatibility view (in IE> Tools> Compatibility view settings> type site name> add)
add the site to trusted sites and set the zone security level to low (in IE> Internet Options> Security> trusted sites> sites>add your site there> ok> custom level> select low> reset> ok)
You can use developer tools (f12) and set browser mode to the version that is most compatible with your environment.

No. If you go Settings App > General > Reset > "Erase All Content and Settings", you will have the same iOS that was on the iPhone when you tapped the Erase button. If you believe your iPhone is Jailbroken, then this will not work. If you use iTunes on computer, this will put iPhone to current iOS which is iOS 7.0.2

I don't have a solution for you but more steps to solve the problem
You are ultimately on the right track in some ways but break it down into it's components.
The problem could like in the business rule, the form connection, the variables, even the order of operations could all be in play.
So I would strip this baby down to its bare bones then build it back up.
1) Run the business rule. Each one separately and only after the previous ones is complete without variables and without touching the form
Is it successful: go to 2
If it isn't successful: trouble shoot the calc and or try running in EAS natively to see if that gives you ideas
2) Run the calc outside the form but with variables included. Did it prompt you correctly.
Is it successful: go to 3
If it isn't. What is wrong with the variable
3) Now attach it to the form but don't hide the prompts
Still good go to 4
4) hide the prompts and run on save
And if it fails on step four then it's not picking up the right variables in the prompt. And you need to look at why it wouldn't grab the right item.
This will isolate your problem for you and give you steps to fix it. Ultimately 99% of the time something did change in the structure for example that is impacting the calc. And when you isolate the problem this will reveal itself quite quickly.

Date parameter does not work in SharePoint 2010 report using SQL 2008 Server Reporting Service

Here is the settings:
SharePoint 2010 with SQL server 2008 reporting services configured
When create a report for a SP list using SQL server report builder (3.0) the date parameter does not work.
The data parameter is set as "date and time" type and field name equals the col name in the SP list
When run the report, the whatever dates I select, the result is always the same, so the parameters do not take any effect.
Is any step missing?

Have you tested if other type parameter worked?
Have you tried typing the date format as 20140722 in your date parameter filed before run the report?

RZ70 Abap to push data to SLD not working

Hi All,
Recently for one of the staging system we moved from physical server to VM. Instance number got changed from 01 to 00 - just to keep in sync with other SRM systems. (SAP SRM 7.0).
Now to push this data to SLD, RZ70 is not working. its spinning for unlimited duration.
Had a check on SLD_UC and SLDNUC, working fine.
SAPSLDAPI - working fine
SLDAPICUST and SLDCHECK - working fine
Job keeps running which I can see in SM37 and SM66, however for respective WP nothing is getting updated or no change when I check in SM50 specific WP - by double clicking in it. like Roll in, Roll out and memory details nothing is getting changed.
The program name is : _SLD_ASSOC
Any one has any idea, what more to try?

Java it not working on pogo for me

i dont know whats going on, me and my husband both need java to get our internet games to work. well it works on his, but it will not work on pogo for me. first it was saying that the java was messed up or not right i mean up to date but i have takin it out and put it back in over and over and it still wouldnt work. and now it is saying that the pogo is messed up so i took that out and put it back in. needless to say it still wont work so if someone could give me some thing else to do or try i would appreciate it or knows why its doing thisand has some kind of info for me. thats all ty lisa.

Flex App not working in IE9

We have a Flex browser based app (Flex 3.6 SDK) and it has been running smoothly on IE since last 1 yr. Front-end is Flex, Middle layer Fluorine web services aka .Net, back-end is SQL. One of our customer reported this peculiar problem that it is not working on IE9 (its a Win 7 64bit laptop). Not working means that after he hits the url, the page loads fine but when he tries logging in he gets error (Thats an error we shoe when we get failure callback from middle layer). Now .Net/back-end people checked the logs and told me that they do not receive any hit from that account. So it means the <mx:Remote object> call for login never reached them. But then how come we got error callback?
Notably,
1. we are not using any session timeout so there is no question of fault callback coming due to that. is their any way that we got a fault callback of Remote Object without it reaching the .Net layer? How can we rectify it?
2. we used Adobe connect and checked this client's machine and we found that his internet options on IE are fine as per http://blogs.adobe.com/cnflash/2011/09/23/adobe-flash-player-cannot-work-on-ie-9-after-ins tallation-or-updates/ . also he is able to open Flash videos without any peoblem so it seems that Flash perhaps is working fine on it.
what other areas can we check to solve it? Any help is valuable guys....

check with firebug.
i suspect that client load swf from cache. means he might not have latest version of swf. make sure he has latest swf.
parameter mismatch will lead to these kind of issue

Date picker css not showing in web form

Hi there, I have a web form and added the date picker.
When you try this within BC admin it displays very nicely, yet when Ive inserted the webform in the html page,
the css styling for the date picker is not included.
Can anyone help me here so that I can add the css to style the calendar to look a bit prettier!

The date picker, once loaded, will get a bunch of inline styles applied to it from BC. This can override your CSS if you are not specific enough. If you give your declarations an important:
#datepicker{
    background-color: #333 !important;
Should override their inline styles.

My international data roaming is not working in china, why?

I am currently traveling in mid-east china, but my data roaming is not working. it shows good single bar, but when I try to receive emails (from gmail or AOL account), it gives me error messages. it is very frustrating. it has been 3 days that I can't retrieve emails. I do have voice service though.

You might need to contact VZW for some trouble shooting help. Unless you are using a 3rd party simcard...then you might have to check with them to make sure their isn't an issue.

Spry textarea character count not working in IE9

I'm using DW CS5 for a ColdFusion form with a textarea field. The spry character count works in every browser but IE9. Anyone know how to fix this?

This feature will not work in IE9 and IE10.
The problem is two-fold
a) The Copyright notice shows 2006 as the last Spry update. This was around the time of IE7
b) Microsoft tends to go off on a tangent where every release of IE behaves differently
As always, we are in the hands of the Adobes and Microsofts.
