DateField display on select is garbled - PalmOS

Question

When clicking on a DateField, the lower half of the Palm (emulator & PDA) screen is scrambled.
Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Is there a fix for this?

I have the same problem and it seems to be a bug.
For showing it I wrote a small piece of code:

Using this I try diferent settings of the Java HQ virtual machine at the Palm m105.
Using 16 gray levels for display I get the same garbage on the screen like you.
Using 4 gray levels it is better.
If you set up your display for Black/White you have the clear screen that you need.
Please give me some feedback if your Palm reacts the same.
