Dbx error with access checking after attaching

I used dbx - <pid> to attach to a process that had LD_PRELOAD /opt/SUNWspro/lib/librtc.so in its environment. I had previously used the same setup to enable leaks/memuse checking. When I tried to enable access checking I got the following error:

Thanks. Meanwhile I've found another problem of course. I'm again trying to get access/leaks checking working in my process. This time, the process was started from within dbx, no attaching, but the process died with a SEGV in __rtc_trap_handler:

Studio 10 dbx dumps core with access checking on

I have an application that causes Studio 10 dbx to dump core on start with access checking turned on. It will run OK under Studio 9 dbx, but tends to kill dbx if I attempt to follow the stack when a violation is found.
For some odd reason, 'suppress rui' does not work with it as well.
What information can I provide to help identify this bug? I expect the application and its build environment are too big to send in.

Error with Voided Check

Hi all, I am having an issue with a check that appears to be voided. When running FCHX to extract the check to be sent to the bank we get a failure message saying the check is invalid. I tried to run FCHG to reverse the voiding of the check but it tells me that check data does not exist. I then tried to run FCHE to delete the check and that did not work either, I received an error message saying only manually voided checks can be deleted. I either need to update the database so the check looks like it has been extracted or delete the check. If I can't do either than FCHX will continue to fail for that check when we run it. Anyone have any ideas?

With note 1014716 the below mentioned behaviour was introduced
in standard, with this the system checks that the name in the
check PAYR-ZNME1 is blank that is contains only (CO) values ' .'. Then
the error FIBL010 is shown as in your case.
According to SAP standard system design, a check should contain correct
payee information. If it is blank, the above error is
shown as you have already noticed in the standard coding.

Forbidden/403 error when accessing OIF after install

Hi,
I just installed OID+OVD+OIF on a Windows 2003 server. The Oracle database is on a separate machine.
For the OID+OVD+OIF installation, I installed WebLogic 10.3.3, then ran the OID+OVD+OIF installer, and was able to do that successfully.
I then rebooted (seems to be necessary), then ran startNodemanager.cmd, and then accessed the WL Console, and saw "wls_ods1" and "wls_oif1" servers.
I started both of those servers successfully.
When I go to http://<host>:7005/odsm, I get the ODS console.
But, when I go to http://<host>:7499/fed, I get a 403/Forbidden error.
I've checked both the Adminserver log file and the wls_oif1 log file, and there are no errors there. Also, the access log file for the wls_oif1 server shows no accesses.
Is there some additional step I need to do to enable the OIF server?

You are using a wrong URL. Please use this:

If you want to administer the OIF, then you have to use the em enterprise manager. USing the em, you can start the OIF, and use the above url.

The port 7001 is the default; if you hv selected anything else during the install, then use that port. The login is (default) weblogic and the password is whatever you gave during install.

Error with "Replace wtih After Effects Comp"

When I use "Replace with After Effects Comp" on a clip in Premier CS5 (Mac), it sends the clip properly, I make my effect in AE (stabilize motion), save, then go back to premier and there is not change to the clip in premier (the change was clear and obvious in AE). In the lower right is a red circle wth an X -- clicking on it indicates "an unspecified error ocurred performaning an action" on the saved AE file.
The clip in Premier is marked red and indicates it is linked to the AE file, but the applied effect has not come through, it just looks like the original.
However, when I make other changes in AE, sich as adding text, no problem -- it updates in Premier.
What could be preventing "Replace with After Effects Comp" from workgin with AE stablizie image tracking files?
Using CS5 on a Mac (10.6.7) wiht the latest updater updates installed on all CS5 products)

Can I not render wihin AE and have the rendered clip automatically link into Premier?
This method should give you realtime playback of your Ae comp
in the Pr timeline, but you will still have to render first.
Use the "Post-Render Action" in the Ae render queue to import your
completed render into your Ae project, then drop it into your
composite as the top layer, solo that layer, then save and exit.
Open Pr, and you should be able to play the composite without
having to render the timeline... unless there is a deficit in the
horsepower of your rig as Jim suggested in an earlier post.

Error with PS text after Unicode conversion

Hi, we are having problem after doing unicode conversion with special
character not displayed correctly in a Web interface. In SAP
(transaction CN04) everything is OK, but if the PS text is displayed

Error with mixed AADC after 8.00c.07

After updating to 8.00c.07 some of our presort reports are not matching with what was populated in the data tables. As an example, the qualification report will show 100 pieces qualifying as 3 digit 945, but the database field for those same statements are populated as MAAD 901.

Error with missing files after force quit

I just spent hours building project management pages for work when the program would not respond I was forced to force quit. Then when I try to reopen I get an error and it tells me that all of the fonts and content is missing. When I click on each page it shows me images from templates that have gone away. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

If you have the 'keep' option enabled and let iTunes do the work - take a sound track album as an example - that has various artists and you didn't tell iTunes that the album was a compilation album - then iTunes will put all the tunes into into the iTunes Music folder as Artist>Album>Song - if you have the compilation option enabled for the tunes on that same album - iTunes will nest it as iTunes Music>Compilation>Album>Song. This helps reduce the clutter in the iTunes Music folder with a thousand artists and only one tune for that artist.
With the 'keep' option selected iTunes will move tunes automatically within the iTunes Music folder. Since iTunes moved the files it can keep track of the links.
To create a second library launch iTunes with the 'option' key down and follow the dialog box instructions. I have a 'Master iTunes Library' on my internal HD and several ext HD's with other libraries which I give unique names i.e.: Really Big Music. I give the library data base file its' own unique name so I don't accidentally erase the wrong file. I also keep all the files that you would normally see for an iTunes library on the ext HD (iTunes library. .xml, art work etc.,). If you are into lots of movies and TV Shows you could create a library on and ext HD with only video content and name it accordingly. You would keep all the files for that library including the library 'management' files on the ext HD in the same nesting as you would find on your internal HD.
This strategy works for me. I tried to manage the files by myself at one point and just had to many problems so I decided to not fight City Hall and go with the flow and it works for me.

Invalid Partition Error with each boot after BIOS update???

Need help from the experts:
I have all of a sudden had problems with every boot, receiving an "invalid partition" error every timeI start my machine. ONly significant thing I have done lately is flash bios to v 1.1 on the K8N Neo2 Plat board using MSI tool. I had no such problems prior to flashing to 1.1, though I have had other problems related to memory voltage...
What, if anything, does BIOS have to do with it? my drives are both 160GB, formatted NTFS each a single large partition...is the system thinking that's an invalid partition size?
At any rate, I have already tried a complete low level format of my drives and re-install of Win XP Pro from scratch to make sure nothing was corrupted, and sure enough, upon next boot (needed to complete some driver installs) I get the same error. Of note, I also get an error re: one of my 2 DVD drives...related?
So, for now, the only way around this is to boot using XP CD, execute 'R' for recovery, then use DOS command 'FIXMBR' to write a new boot record, and then I am able to get back in...until the next re-boot.
Have had numerous issues with this board / bios, though this is the most profound one.
Need help...this is confounding me. What should I be looking into, trying next?

How did you'll updates your bios?? using liveupdates or what?? what version are you trying to updates? the old to the new version of bios..btw keith can you lists down ur spec's like seacoast guy including the psu (watts and rails) in full details. Gd luck

Error with update CS5 after new installation (new Computer)

Sigh. I only saved a few of those pages before they deleted it.
Dammit. I only got as far as jverd actually imploding.

InDesign CC | Error with indd file - "Cannot open the file...Adobe InDesign may not support file format"

I encountered a very strange error with InDesign CC after saving a file created in CS4. I'd attach the file but I'm not sure how to do this, if I'm able to. The file is 44kb and doesn't seem like it should be (file I saved had a large book cover). Now since the original CS4 file was overwritten using InDesign CC, the file is corrupt and I'm getting the error message displayed below. The file is not open within another application. Has anyone gotten this before?

Thanks for your response Peter. Below is the gibber contained in the first four lines. In the first line, where it reads "mimetypeapplication" and then "indesign-idml-package", I would assume that this should've been a valid idml file.

Critical Hard Disk Free Space Error on Lenovo G500 after upgrading from Win8 to Win8.1

I encountered an error with my harddrive after upgrading my Lenovo G500 from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. The error is coming up under the Lenovo Solution Center. The error reads "Some partition in your hard drive has less than 9.5% of its capacities. It suggests to click on Fix Options; System; Storage Devices. Then it displays Internal Hard Drive ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB.The solution center now displays 8 different partitions labled as follows:
Drive Name: Space:
W: WINRE_DRV. 694.99 MB free of 999.99 MB
E... EFI SYSTEM 260 MB
U.. UNAMED PARTITION. 0.97 GB (THIS IS THE DRIVE PRODUCING THE ERROR)
M. MICROSOFT RESERVED PARTITION. 128 MB
C. MICROSOFT RESERVED PARTITION. 850.43 GB FREE OF 890.72 GB
W. WINDOWS RECOVERY ENVIRONMENT. 155.46 MB OF 449.99 MB

I have tried to run disk clean up and optimize drives which were suggestions from the Lenovo Solution Center but neither has been successful in removing the error. Any assistance you guys can provide will help me out a lot

I got an error when i tried disk repair ("the underlying task reported failure on exit - 1 HFS volume could not be repaired, 1 volume could not be repaired"). Is that the source of my problem?

Absolutely, good deduction.
If DU can't fix it after a couple more tries then, your best bets are DiskWarrior from Alsoft...

Data Rescue II...

This last one would require another HD with plenty of space to recover to.
Unfortunately, Disk Utility can't fix all that much, and the only other Apple Options are erasing the HD, or installing OSX to a second drive, then using Migration Assistant to move stuff over to the new HD.
