DDL extraction problem

Every time I click on the 'SQL' tab to see the DDL for an object the first two lines are:
-- DBMS_METADATA was unable to generate SQL. Now using internal DDL generator
-- To Test DBMS_METADATA : select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('TABLE','DUAL','SYS') from dual;
Execuring the suggested test statement gives:
ORA-31603: object "DUAL" of type TABLE not found in schema "SYS"
However "select 1 from dual" and "select 1 from sys.dual" both work fine.

I think it is a privilege issue. I can run that statement without problems when I connect with near dba permissions on 9iR2 and 10gXE, but it gives the same error when I execute under a normal user.

Any progress on the ACR 7.3+ Bridge repeat thumbnail extraction problem?
It was very good news that the cropped lens-correction repeat extraction bug was fixed in 8.2, but this newer problem, surfacing in the ACR 7.3 update (and still present in 8.2), is causing a bigger headache than the older bug for some users of Bridge.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to identify a trigger for the condition, which is proving very difficult to recreate reliably, other than it very definitely being introduced with ACR 7.3. Adobe's Steve G told the Bridge forum that the 7.3+ problem had been recreated by Adobe, and was being investigated along with the other (now solved) problem. Has any progress been made? Or is it still a mystery?

    Been there, done that:
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/unneccesary_bridge_thumbnail_and_pre view_extraction
They know about it, they just don't know how to recreate it.
Best thing we can do is reliably recreate the fault. My workaround is to only enable Lens Profile Corrections when necessary, as it is a combination of that and some other factor(s) which seems to trigger it.
If you read all the discussions, you'll see that there are two bugs which produce the same symptoms. One introduced in probably ACR 6.1, whichg was fixed in 8.2; and the other was introduced in 7.3 and is ongoing.

  • Extraction Problem- while filling the setup table

    Hi all,
I have a problem when i  fill the setup table for LO cockpit Extraction on any SD datasources (2_LIS_VAHDR,2lis_13_vdkon etc.,). i am done with LBWQ successfully. i also verified the datasources in RSA6. They are in active status in RSA7-delta queue.
After i submit the request to fill the setup table, i am getting
"datasource 2_LIS_VAHDR contains data still to be transferred". if i check the extract checker (RSA3) i am getting the error msg "data source is not defined in the source system"
Can anybody help me on this?
one of my friend suggested that it could be the reason that some jobs are in active status that loads/updates data into base tables which the datasources refers.
Any idea on the reason and resolutions?
    Greatly appreciated !

    Hi Vijaya,
We too got the same Error : " the datasources are not defined in the source system".
This is source system connection problem.  Check whether connection between R/3 and BW is active.
This error occurs when the connection is inactive.
Also, if it is copy client, then check data exists in other client. If so delete the setup tables data in that client as well.
    This will resolve your issue.
    Thanks

  • CO-PA Extraction problem

    Dear all,
I created CO-PA datasource with costing-based. When I test extraction (RSA3) in R/3 with no any selection criteria, it only extracts a few data. When I check the CE4XXXX table, there are tons of data in it. It seems like that it gets data from summarization table. I've selected all line item characterisitcs when defining this COPA the datasource. Is there anyone come across this problem before. Thanks a lot for any suggestion.

    Hi,
look at this howto (extraction from CE1xxxx):

  • Download and extraction problems with CS6 Web and design Premium?

I purchased CS6 from my university and upon trying to download it, the downloader that was downloading it stopped at around 85% and initiated a download cannot continue please contact [email protected] Upon chatting with two agents from the online chat, one of them directed me to download the trial version and activate it with the serial number I got when I activated the product. I got a download error when I downloaded it the first time, and the second time worked. When I went to sue the extract tool that I downloaded alongside the zip file, it worked for about 5 seconds, then I got a "A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder." Theres 140GB's on the drive I'm extracting too, and the folder has full privelages. How can I fix this? Or do I need to angrily demand my money back? I already opened and used it so I can't take it back to the university, and I'm not paying 100$ (which is what I was told it would cost me) to have someone else fix something that should not be broken.

Sorry, I feel your pain but you've posted in the wrong forum--this one is about Audition, the sound editing software.
However, I'm a bit suspicious of the response you got.  As far as I know, the one part of support that is free from Adobe is still first-time installation issues and this is handled (usually) by phone with Adobe themselves.  Perhaps you're in a different situation because you purchased from your university but something doesn't smell right about what you were told and that email address you were given which isn't an Adobe one.

  • 2LIS_02_SCL : Extracting problem

    Hi,
    I tried to load 0PUR_C01 with 2LIS_02_SCL ( FULL method ),
but in the monitoring I've got 0 record and an <b>Extraction error</b> which deals with data selection.
    <i>Note : I do no selection in my infopackage.</i>
In R/3 my setup tables are filled :
    MC02M_0ITMSETUP
    MC02M_0SCLSETUP
When I check with RSA3 I've got a lot of records.
For information, I had the same problem with 2LIS_02_ITM
when I used INIT or DELTA infopackage.
    But <u>it's work with a FULL infopackage</u>.
    Nevertheless, nothing work with 2LIS_02_SCL.
    What can i do ?
    Thanks
    ps : I'm working on SAP 3.5

    1. Replicate the data sources and activate the info source.
    2. Check the update rules and activate them.
    3. Double click on the step -by step in load monitor, what does the error say?
    4. Can you copy and paste the error message here we can look at .

  • Extraction problem - selection conditions for data load using abap program

    Hi All,
I have a problem loading data over a selected period where the selection of date range is done using ABAP routine (type 6). Here though in the request header tab in monitor screen i'm able to see the selection date range populated correctly, no records are being extracted. But if i delete the abap filter and directly give the same date range for selection we are able to extract data. if any body has faced similar problem and have a solution for it please help me with yur suggestion.
    Thanks,
    nithin.

It seems the the data range is not properly set in the routine.
You can check the value of selection period generated by routine in the data selection tab-> execute button is there .
Click it to to test the selection values generated by the ABAP routine..
If the value here seems correct one then paste the code of the routine that u have written with brief logic details that u have applied.

  • Purchasing Extraction Problem

    Hey Gurus,
I am extracting data using datasource 2lis_02_itm and when it gets into PSA there are many records that are doubled up while in RSA3 on the ECC side it shows the correct amount. What could be the problem?
    Thanks

Are you running a delta or full load?  In a delta, the recordmode is usually what doubles up your record in order to manage the actual changes.  If its' a full load, when comparing doubles, do you see any fields that differ?

  • Need to solve Client Reporting/Extract Problem... Help!

I have an APEX 2.2.1 application that is running on a linux server. I have a number of customers that put data into it and there customers interact with the data. This all works great!
Now comes reporting. My customers want some canned reports and access to the data for adhoc reports. I do not want someone running adhoc reports on this database. So....
This is what happens right now. Each quarter my partner uses an MS Access database with ODBC linked tables to extract (ETL) the data from the Oracle database into an MS Access database. Then runs a Crystal Report definition agents the MS Access database to produce a complex multi page quarterly/annually report. This report is then emailed to our clients. No adhoc and no automation.
What I would like to do. Allow our customers to request an extract of their data or produce it automatically each quarter. Then our customers could download the extracted data to their machine. Our caned reports would be designed to run against the extracted data. They could also do adhoc reporting.
    How could this be done?
    1. The idea I am working on right now would be that an MS Access database would be populated for them and loaded into the Oracle database as a BLOB for download. We would also store our Crystal Report definitions as BLOBs for download. The problem with this is MS Access and Linux do not work well to together.
So... How can I pull this off? I would prefer to use Oracle only tools also.

    Hi Chris,
Is it possible for you to go to APEX 3.1?
The interactive reports may be the thing you're missing...

    Dimitri

  • Extract() problem in Enterprise manager

OEM issues queries like the following one in several places:
    /* OracleOEM */ SELECT c.extract('/element/@name', 'xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"').getStringVal()
    FROM  table(xmlsequence((
    SELECT  s.schema.extract('//schema/element')
    from dba_xml_schemas s
WHERE  s.schema_Url = 'http://www.agralin.nl/WebQuery/ns/data1' and s.owner ='AGE'))) cOne of these places is the clicking of the plus sign in front of an XML schema name, another one is in the definition of an xmltype column, if on the "xml type options" page the "xml schema based" option is selected. In both cases my test server seems to enter an endless loop. I have only one very large schema defined; the original text length is 122 KB, the internal Oracle version is at least 140KB.
A second instance of OEM tells me the execution plan is
    1. collection iterator (pickler fectch)
    2. select statement
After running for about two hours I killed the server thread, which was by then consuming over half a gigabyte of PGA memory and over 90% of the CPU. I started the subquery in SQL*Plus:
    SELECT  s.schema.extract('//schema/element')
    FROM dba_xml_schemas s
WHERE  s.schema_Url = 'http://www.agralin.nl/WebQuery/ns/data1' AND (s.owner =  'AGE')After about five minutes it was clear this query suffered the same problem (although with a different execution plan), so I aborted it as well. My final simplification:
    SELECT  *
    FROM dba_xml_schemas s
WHERE  s.schema_Url = 'http://www.agralin.nl/WebQuery/ns/data1' AND (s.owner =  'AGE'))took half a minute with long set to 140000, giving almost the full element text. I did a count(*) to be sure the result set consisted of just one record. Earlier tests, with very simple xmlschema's did respond normally, so I guess the length of my schema is part of the problem.
Is this a known bug, or can anybody give me a workaround?

    Customizing for the extractor
I am getting this Error  LIKE

but i am unable to connect to r3 to T90CLNT090 data source.
Can some body help me how to connect to r3 using T90CLNT090   data source
    ThankS u  in advance

    GIR

    Hi,
    Refer the link:
First of all, There should be a RFC destination to the self system, which was created by system itself.  It should not be changed by you. If you would have changed it to divert to R/3 ,change the settings back to orginal values. And you have to have different RFC destination to R/3(to a specific client).

  • Rsa3 Data extraction problem

    Hi All,
We have a data source called “0BBP_TD_CONTR_2”. It collects data from SRM related to contracts. We have activated it by using rsa5 transaction and extract data from SRM to BW. It works fine.
However, when we tried to extract data again we came across with an error on BW side pointing out the source system. When we control the SRM side:
On RSA6: Data source is active
On RSA3: When we extract data it gives an error: “No corresponding product found”.
When we double click this error: it says: “No corresponding product found Message no. COM_PRODUCT004”
So we can not see the result of RSA3.
Is there anyone who came across with such an error?
    Thanks in advance
    #Bill J.

    Hi Bill,
Please take a look at the following SAP Note:
I think it will also apply to SRM system.
The error message "No corresponding products found" occurs if the product GUID from the R/3 System is not the product GUID under which the product has been created in the CRM/EBP System.
This may have the following reasons:
You create the product data of a CRM/EBP System by copying the product data of a different CRM/EBP System.
If this different CRM/EBP System is linked to a different R/3 Back-end System, the products can no longer be identified during another download. The reason for this is that the different R/3 Back-end System has assigned other product GUIDs than the original R/3 Back-end System.
In the R/3 Back-end System, material data - including the contents of table NBDSMATG16 - is overwritten with a copy from a different R/3 Back-end System. If material data from the first R/3 Back-end System has already been transferred to a CRM/EBP System, the corresponding products can no longer be identified in the CRM System during a new download attempt.
You linked the CRM/EBP System to a different R/3 Back-end System. This leads to the above problem if the same logical system is assigned to the new R/3 Back-end System as to the original R/3 Back-end System.
You load materials from two R/3 Back-end Systems to which the same logical system is assigned respectively into a CRM System.
    Solution
The logical system of an R/3 Back-end System must not be changed if a download from this R/3 Back-end System has occured.
The creation of product data in a CRM/EBP System should not occur by means of a client copy. When you set up a new CRM/EBP System, the products should be created by means of a download from the connected R/3 Back-end System.
If it is required to make a client copy, for example in the cause of an upgrade test, the R/3 Back-end System must be copied to the new CRM system landscape as well.In the new CRM system landscape, you must not rename any logical systems. However, all RFC destinations have to be redefined in such a way that there is no longer a connection to the original system landscape.
If this restriction is too strict, you must not change the logical system directly in table T000, but by means of Transaction BDLS which must run three times in this process:
o in the R/3 Backend:    LOGSYS OLTP old     -> LOGSYS OLTP new
              o in the CRM/EBP System: LOGSYS CRM/EBP old  -> LOGSYS CRM/EBP new
o in the CRM/EBP System: LOGSYS OLTP old     -> LOGSYS OLTP new
In a production CRM/EBP System, the data should always be loaded from the corresponding production R/3 Back-end System. That is, the product master data should not be transferred from a different CRM/EBP System by means of a copy.
Entries of table NBDSMATG16 of an R/3 Back-end System must not be changed by a copy from a different system. That is, entries in this table must never be changed.
You must not replace the R/3 Back-end System of a CRM/EBP System with a different R/3 Back-end System just like that. When you replace the R/3 Back-end System, a corresponding new CRM/EBP System should be set up as well.
If the setup of a new CRM/EBP System is not possible in this case, you have to copy the contents of table NBDSMATG16 from the original R/3 Back-end System into the new R/3 Back-end System. You can only do this in turn if no product data exchange with the new R/3 Back-end System has occurred, that is, if table NBDSMATG16 does not contain any entries yet.
Then you have to assign the same logical system that was assigned to the old R/3 Back-end System to the new R/3 Back-end System. In addition, there must not be a connection or (Customizing) setting that points from the CRM/EBP System to the old R/3 Back-end System or vice versa.
Recommendation:You should delete the definitions of the RFC destination (Transaction SM59).
If the problem described above occurs because you do not follow the above recommendations, a data inconsistency exists which has to be analyzed by SAP.From the product master point of view, you can solve this problem by deleting the affected products and creating them again by means of a download.
However, this procedure is problematic or cannot be carried out in production systems if references to the affected products are already made in other objects (for example, in orders). In this case, these references would refer to product GUIDs that no longer exist in the system.
In such cases, individual solutions (which are quite extensive) must be found.
If several R/3 Back-end Systems are connected (currently, this is only supported in EBP Systems), different logical systems must be assigned to them
let me knopw if you have any issues or questions

    Satish Arra
