Deactivating Adobe Acrobat 11

I am creating system images for 4 different type of computers.  Usually what we would do is load the software on the machine then deactivate it so when the image is pushed out to the new machine we would use the serial that came with the machine to activate the software.  We recently purchased a volume license for Adobe Acrobat 11 once it is installed there is no deactivate menu option under help.  I am wondering what happened to the deactivation menu option?

Volume licenses don't activate and deactivate the way standard commercial versions do.

  • Having trouble deactivating adobe acrobat 9 pro

    Hello,
    Im moving over to a new computer (windows 7) I have a student version of CS5 and it includes a seperate disc for Adobe acrobat 9 pro. I already deactivated the other programs in the suite and uninstalled them from my old computer to the new one and they are working fine.
    I tried to install  Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro using the cd to my new computer but it says that the serial # is invalid. I check my old computer and it still has Adobe acrobat 9 installed ( adobe reader) but under the help menu of the application there is no deactivation option. Im not sure how to deactivate it or what I should do
    Any and all help is great appreciated.

    Which one is actually installed. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader are diffrent applications and Reader doesn't require activation.

    Acrobat 8 Pro's activation servers were retired. As the owner of that product you get a replacement non-activation copy and a new serial number for it.
    You can simply uninstall the old copy.

    first make sure you are installing the right product from the original disks/saved download, as there are multiple similar products. Did you buy direct from Adobe?

    I have the same  problem. Have paid. Messages say I have downloaded it but the file is inaccessible apparently download is somewhere on my hard disk. How do I find it?? Is there not help at an Adobe phone service. If so what is the number to call??

    It happens on multiple PCs

    All menu content, include motion, is limited to 1 Gig.  This is not easy to calculate.  This is not a common error unless you are over.
    When projects are revised, particularly numerous times, Encore may not correctly remove old elements.
    Easiest method here is probably to start the project over.  You can import the menus from the old project.
    You can also close this project, and try clearing the media cache.

    You're right; it should not be a chore to deactivate your software. You mention that you work for a small business; did that business buy a volume license for Acrobat? If so, so there wouldn't be a Deactivate option, and you'd have to contact the volume licensing administrator in your office for help.
    If Acrobat was part of a suite, then try deactivating from another product in the suite.

    I have a version of adobe acrobat 7 that keeps deactivating its self and getting the message please active. This happens every few weeks. Now it says that I have activated to many times and will no longer activate and gives error code 93-2 in bottom corner of activation screen. this version has never been installed on any other machine.

    This is a problem that can only be solved by calling the activation hot line number in the activation dialog box. They can send you a software fix for the problem, but they must reset the activation counter.

    Same problem here. I deactivated Tech Comm Suite, and when I got my new laptop, I installed the new Tech Comm Suite, which is fully licensed. It won't let me open Acrobat.

    You'll need either the installation media (if you bought from a retailer), or a downloaded installer. If you don't have the CD, you can download Acrobat from this links in this document: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X - Adobe.
    It's OK to keep it on the other computer; your license allows you to install it on up to two computers. But, if you'd like you can deactivate it on that old computer, which would free up that activation for use on yet another computer. Please see Activation & Deactivation Help - Adobe
    You'll need your serial number to activate on the new computer.
