Debit Memo Error

Dear Gurus,
While creating Debit Memo we are facing with the below error.
"Create billing document" not allowed (Sys. status Cost, object VB0000480100000010)
The process was working fine till the client has updated the patch. What would be the possible reason for error?
Please Help.Thanks in Advance.
Regards
Vamsi

Hi Vamsi,
Please go to trx BS23 to see the system status,to check whether system
status I0164 (cost) is set as business transaction not allowed.
If you got system status "cost" is because the order has not
been costed yet. You need to go to the sales order and carry out cost
for it. After that, the system status will be changed and delivery can
be created.
Costing is done in va02 -> extras -> costing.
For why system need to carry out costing for an order, it is definitely
about your configuration/customizing not only in SD but also CO. eg.
trx OVZG.
Please also refer to note 185575.
More informations:
please have a look at the attached note 185575 (Status COST in sales
order items) says:
"If you change the quantity, the configuration or the pricing date of
the sales order item, the system sets the status COST 'To be costed' on
the corresponding item.
As long as the status COST is active, no delivery can be created for the
sales order item."
If you go to trx BS23 to see the system status, you will see system
status I0164 (cost) is set as business transaction delivery not allowed.
That´s wht you cannot create a debit memo.
I hope ths tips can help you.

  • Error while creating Billing doc using VF01 for Debit memo req. from RRB

    Hi,
I am creating billing doc for my Debit memo req. which is created using RRB(DP90, DP95).
Error message - Item 000010 does not exist.
When I debugged and looked into code it seems following lines are causing problem.
    Program

    Line u2013 734
      IF  vbap-vkgru EQ vkgru_dyn_posten.
        IF vbap-aufnr IS INITIAL .

why should I ??  if you want you can do ground work or any work.  If you post a question, you have to hear patiently all suggestions and dont scribble whatever you want.
    You should have some basic

  • Error while posting debit memo in TC: FB75

    Hi All,
Can anyone help me out on the following error...
We are trying to post parked customer debit memo in TC: FB75 but system threws error message "Item Category 04000 not allowed in accounting transaction 0200/0001".
What is the reason for this error and how should i resolve without any impact on the business
    Thanks,
    Vijaya

The error message is issued because business transaction 0200 does not allow item category 04000 (Cash Account) to be used. This is pre-configured in the system and should not be changed by the customer.
In this case, I'd suggest to create another transaction variant (ex. Z004) for business transaction 0000 - unspecified posting as it allows all item categories to be used and customized according to the business needs.
    To do so:.
    1) IMG: Define Business Transaction Variants
    - define new transaction variant (ex. Z004) for unspecified posting = business transaction 0000
    - make sure to include all item categories that are same as
business transaction 0200 + 0001 BUT add item category 04000
    2) IMG: Define Splitting Rule
    - define the split rule for 0000 + Z004 (new variant)
    - make sure to "copy" all setting of split rule 0200 + 0001
    - additionally include item ct. 04000 for 'items to be edited'
    3) After this, please assign 0000 + Z004 to the document type.

  • Posting Debit Memo (SO) through IDOC throwing V1213 error msg.

    HI Guys,
Debit Memo has been created using the idoc.
Getting the error status in IDOC - 51 - Message V1213 - Condition ZR00 is not allowed as header condition
I am using custom BAPI using SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE FM inside it.
The error is thorwn by PRICING_CHECK FM.
Ironically the idoc is posting successfully when there is only one item, if its more than one.. throwing error V1213.
When I debug it, PRICING_CHECK FM is the culprit.
PRICING_CHECK FM  is called 2 times, one per item. During first call the item No. komp-kposn = 0010,
in 2nd call  komp-kposn = 0000. thats why its throwing this error in the first place.
But why the item value is 0, during 2nd call.. no idea.. !
Interestingly VBKD table stores the item 0010 and 0000 in its entries.. when I force it to posting successfully in debug mode.
    Entries in VBAP are normal.
But when I create the debit memo manually with 2 items, its posting without an error. its accepting condition type ZR00.
Now I turn on the header condition in V/06 for testing purpose only. Now its posting for more than one item..
But I can't turn it on permanantly, as its not recommended by business.
but its posting coreectly in other system where header condition is turned off. !!
    Thanx for Ur time..
    Cheers

In SD/LE tables, posnr (item) no. 0 refers to the header.  So, in VBKD, if you have 0000 and 0010, the SO has one and only one item.  In your case, obviously, ZR00 is not intended to be a header condition and can only be applied at the item level... and the only item to which the condition can be applied is 0010.

    Hi,

    I found BAPIs:

‘BAPI_DEBITREQUEST_PROXY_CREATE’ for creating sales document of type ZDDR and SD document category ‘L’.
please let me know if anybody have used them. If so what values need to be passed to I_UPLOAD_ID,I_DESTIN,I_SFA_REL parameters of BAPI_DEBITREQUEST_PROXY_CREATE. Are there any alternative solutions using the Salesorder bapi.

  • Standard Process for Credit Memo & Debit Memos in CRM

    Hi suchi,
The following would be very useful to you.
To reduce implementation time for print forms development, SAP has created a set of the most commonly used forms - Preconfigured Smart Forms:
<u><b>SD:</b></u> Invoice, Quotation, Contract, Delivery Note, Order Confirmation, Scheduling Agreement, Inquiry, Cash Sales, Picking List
<b><u>MM</u></b>: Purchase Order, Request for Quotation, Contract, Delivery Schedule, Good Issue (3 scenarios), Good Receipt (3 scenarios)
    <b><u>FI:</u></b> Dunning Notice
All can easily adapt these forms to their requirements, saving time and money.
Hope this information has been useful to you.
if you would like to have a smartform of your own i.e a Z or a Y then there is an option to get a sap script copied onto a smartform.
the sap script for the same is -> <b>F140_DOCU_EXC_01</b>
Go to Txn SMARTFORMS and just put the required smart form name in FORM field and then go to the menu bar: Utilities-> Migrate SAPScriptForm and juts type in the Script name which is given above(i.e F140_DOCU_EXC_01 )
I hope this will be an amicable solution.
    if helpful pls reward.
    Thanks

  • Debit memo issue

    Hi all,
I had created a sales order for 5 material (eg: mat-1 to mat-5) from
line item 10 to 50. For mat-5 (which shows line item no.50 in sales
oreder) we had done 4 partial deliveries & collective billing for all
the deliveries (which shows line item no.50,60,70 & 80 in the comm
invoice for each delivery). now i want to genrate the debit memo
request for line item 60 & 80 with reference to billing doc. & the
debit memo. But while posting to accounting (debit memo) it gives me
    the error:
ITEM 00050 IN SALES DOCUMENT 480017 DOES NOT EXIST
Whereas 480017 is a debit memo request doc no. & item 50 is not
deleted anywhere in sales order, invoice or in debit memo request.
Plz help to solve this problem.
    Regards,
    Dhiraj

this is because of Billing block has been set there at sales order line item level.
and please check that and beside also look at copy control VTFA document flow indicator.
    thanks

    Hi
A Billing type is cancelled by its Cancellation Billing Type, which is specified in the Billing Type details screen (VOFA).
In standard, Credit memo(G2) is cancelled by Cancellation Billing type(S2).
So, check in VOFA for billing type G2, whether Cancellation billing type S2 has been proposed/maintained.
Create cancellation (VF11) for G2 and system by default will create S2 type of Billing.

  • Short Dump in VF01 while creating debit memo

    Hi,
we are trying to create the debit memo in tcode VF01,while saving the doc it is giving dump.
i went to  ST22 for error analysis, details are "COMMIT_IN_POSTING" error in FM RV_INVOICE_REFRESH.

Invalid COMMIT WORK in an update function module.
    What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLV60A" had to be terminated because it has

the above text copied from ST22.

Is the debit memo triggering an output type?
I saw similar thing long back and I remember it was caused by a output type with a print program that was doing an illegal COMMIT WORK. Actually sometimes there may be a function call inside the program attached with the output type that may be doing a COMMIT which is not directly apparent.
COMMIT WORK causes runtime error when it occurs in functions called in UPDATE TASK or forms called with ON COMMIT.
Try disabling / deleting the output type (Vf01 -> Goto -> Header -> Output) proposed and then save the debit memo and see if this error goes away. You can also try select the output type and click further data and set dispatch time to '1' (send with periodically scheduled job to avoid this issue.
Check threads with people facing similar issues because of commit in output type programs
    Send Immeditely causes COMMIT_IN_POSTING
Need input for error caused while trggering a output type
    COMMIT_IN_POSTING
    COMMIT_WORK in FM, SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

  • Debit memo can not be created

    Hi All,
We have an issue regarding debit memo. Actually we have created a sales order for $600. But due to internal issues that company code not supposed to have any A/R. So we created a credit memo but with incorrect amount of $540. So again we tried to  create a debit memo of $540, but its giving an error message like "Item category XX can not be involved with billing type XXX". Please help me in this issue as it is very urgent.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Have you tried to maintain the copy controls between the dr memo and referencing doc for the item category XX i.e. source doc to billing doc and proposed item category for dr memo..?
Pls maintain it and retry creating the Dr memo.

  • Problem with VF01 using debit memo

    Hi guys,
we have created a debit memo in VA01 for a company code and gl account maintained but without a cost/profit center.
in VF01, we are expecting an error since the cost center is not maintaiend for the comany code/gl acct... however, the processing continues without an error.. it is posting a document, which should not be the case...
please let us know your comments on this... Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for your quick response...
However, we think that this should be the case because incorrect posting in CO is at stake and the system should have filtered and detect those Cost Element/GL Account that needs to undergo OKB9 checking.
Please let me know where can I see if the cost element has a default cost center attached to it...
    Thanks again for your time...

  • Not able to edit the Debit memo request after cancelling Billing document

    Hi,
This is a process in SD/Customer service. The issue is even after cancelling the billing document we are not able to edit the item details in debit memo request..Pls suggest how we can edit the item details after cancelling the billing document
    Best Regards
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
Yes, the whole sales document could not be deleted as well.
    Sorry for the misleading answer.
As per the long text of error V1006, the document cannot be completely
deleted because further processing has already taken place. Even though
you have cancelled the subsequent documents, if you refer to the
document flow, the subsequent documents might have already been created
The cancellation of these does not delete the request.
Please have a look at table VBFA in transaction SE16 and you can see
that the subsequence documents are still displayed.
What you can do is to enter a reason of rejection for all items to
prevent further processing of the request.
Please refer to Note 147028, you don't need to apply
this note, please refer to part of "NOTE:...".This is a restriction
    of the system.
For order-related billing, it is not possible to delete the sales
document, even if the subsequent invoice has been cancelled.
You have to reject the items.
    Cheers,
    Alex

  • Invoice Reduction (Debit Memo) Scenario

Here is the processing I'm trying to get to work in SAP. Vendor send us an invoice, we post the invoice in MIRO and the invoice is blocked for payment (the Invoice price > PO Price). Now that the invoice is in blocked status, it is routed to the department that deals w/ discrepancies. They determine that it is a Vendor pricing error, so they send a Debit Memo to the Vendor stating we are posting a credit in the amount they over charged us.
It looks like the Invoice Reduction functionality in MIRO has what we are looking for (printing out the complaint and posting the credit to the account) except we don't know if the Vendor is at fault at the time of Invoice Entry. Is there a way to run Invoice Reduction or post a Debit Memo after the invoice is posted? Also, we have a few Golden Vendors where we won't send a Debit memo and will wait for them to send us a Credit memo before posting to the Vendor account, so the solution will need to take this into account.
As usual, any guidance you can provide will be appreciated.

I agree, you can use the Credit Memo functionality in SAP, but I don't think you can print out a form once the credit memo form to send to the Vendor that states you are taking the debit.  It would also be useful if this process was automated.  The invoice is blocked, you determine that the Vendor is at fault, the Credit Memo is automatically posted and a Debit Memo is printed out.  Anyone aware of any bolt on software that might help?
