Decision Report and Siebel IO Response

Hello OPA Experts,
I have applied muti level calculations and discounts to line items using Siebel IO Mapping. I get 10 outcome fields which updates back Siebel line items. User want to see the decision report as how these are calculated. Because we % applicable and logic in rulebase. For example if transportation type is Air apply 2%. Transortation Type is coming from Siebel .but % applicable is maintained in rulebase.
In Siebel IO, for all the outcome fields I set user property Name: 'OPAOutcome' Value: "value-only". If I set it "decision-report", Will the user see decision report when click on that field?.  please let me know how to achieve this. Thanks a lot.
Cheers,

Decision reports are saved to the Policy Automation Decision Report table as a block of XML. If the decision report is linked to an existing BO or IO Object, that value is associated with the decision report.
The Policy Automation section in siebel has a deicision report viewer which presents them in a siebel frame as HTML. In order to have a decision report display in the appropriate location you will have to build the UI elements yourself. The Policy Automation section should serve as an example of how to do this.
Cheers

  • Decision Report from siebel-determinations-server missing name substitution

    In the debugger decision report, I get the name substitution - ie "Bubba Gump is eligible".
    But in the decision report that gets saved in Siebel, I am getting "the person is eligible"
    the inbound XML also shows "the person"
    What do I need to be doing to get the name substitution in the decision report saved in Siebel?
    Running OPA 10.4.1
    Thanks,
    Allan

    Hi Frank,
    Well, I went back to pull the rules for the name subsitution, and saw that I had a concatenation issue where if the middle name was unknown, the rules I wrote weren't working. This is because Siebel brings it up as uncertain.
    Once I changed the rules to check for uncertainty, the substitution text (the person's name) worked as expected in the decision report.
    Thanks, we can consider this closed.
    Cheers,
    Allan

  • Determinations Server - response with and without decision report

    I'm trying to solve a problem where a decision report will be needed sometimes but not all the time.
    Is there a way to have to have the determinations server respond with 2 different responses for 1 request?, or send back the standard response without decision reports and write a response with decision reports to a log?
    The concern is that the decision reports will slow the processing of the entire application.

    Hi. It may not be exactly what you are looking for perhaps following link from developer's guide could help.
    Oracle Policy Automation Developer's Guide
    Process multiple determinations within the same Assess request
    The Determinations Server is able to process multiple determinations within the same Assess request. To do this you must:
    Design your rulebase to concurrently determine multiple outcomes.
    At runtime, construct your request to send all the entities you want to reason on, and all the outcomes that you want.
    Rulebase Design
    You can design a rulebase in such a way that it can make multiple determinations concurrently if the determinations are attributes or, less commonly, inferred relationships belonging to a non-singleton (and not the global) entity.
    Once the outcomes belong to an entity, it is possible to create multiple entities and infer the values for all entities at once.

  • Approval Decision Report Error

    Hello to all,
    I have a problem regarding the approval decision report functionality in SBO.
    I have set-up an approval template with 4 originators (say, persons A, B, C and D) and one approving manager. The approval check is applied to A/P Invoices and A/P Credit Memos and the approval terms is set to launch as 'Always'.
    Say person A and B create A/P Invoices. When I run the Approval Decision Report, check all the three decision types:
    [/] No Decision Yet
    [/] Document Production Approved
    [/] Document Production Not Approved
    And indicate person A as Originator From and To, the report shows the documents created by Person A.
    However, when I do the same for Person B, the report does not show the documents created by Person B.
    I receive the error message:
    No matching records found 'Drafts' (ODRF) (ODBC -2028) [Message 131-183]
    However, I check for documents unapproved created by Person B through a query and I see that they exist in ODRF.
    SELECT DocEntry, DocStatus, WddStatus from ODRF
    where UserSign =
    Select USERID from OUSR
    WHERE USER_CODE = 'Person A'
    Am I missing something here?

    Hi Gordon,
    Thanks for replying.
    I am sorry (query should be = 'Person B').
    When I execute the following query, I confirm that person B has existing documents to be approved.
    SELECT DocEntry, DocStatus, WddStatus from ODRF
    where UserSign =
    Select USERID from OUSR
    WHERE USER_CODE = 'Person B'
    But when I run Approval Decision Report and put Person B in the originator, the error occurs.
    In summary, the Approval Decision Report can see Person A's documents but not Person B's documents.

  • TS1702 I am having a major problem with a Z2 app. I have written to the three times and received no response. Is there somewhere to report this and at least get my money back?

    When Z2 did their first 5. Update, a message popped up saying you had to do the update. After doing so, another pop-up said to remove and reload the game. In doing so, all my progress/ purchases disappeared. I only updated on my iPad, not my iPhone, so the iPhone app is till on the "you have to install the update to play" status. I've written to Z2 three times with no response. I would at least expect a refund of the $ I have spent on the game.

    You bought an app but it did not work properly on your device. You can easily report problems with your iTunes Store purchases via the iTunes Store. Here is how:
    Launch iTunes > Choose Store > Sign in.
    Store > View My Account > Purchase History then Click the Report a Problem button.
    Fill out the form explaining the problem you are having.
    Submit the problem report and wait for a response from Apple, they usually respond within 24 hours.
    Notes:
    When Apple emails your invoice, there will be a link on the invoice. You may also click the “Report Problem” link next to the app that you are having issues with to report your problems.
    Problems with in-app purchases or free apps, report them here:http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/
    Before reporting your issue, make sure that you followed these troubleshooting steps explained here.

  • What is the correct architecture for retrieving several complex decision reports

    The project that I am currently working on is required to save decision reports for several complex outputs.  These outputs are needed for each person entity contained in the request. All of the person entities are joined via relationships and the more people that are sent in the request, the more complex the decision reports become.
    We are using the determinations server and it is called as a web service.
    The determinations server starts having performance issues when the requests contain 6 people entities and times out when the number of people get to around 10.
    Checking the response size for a 10 person request with the complex decision reports yields a response size of around 40mb.
    What is the correct architecture to still have the traceability of what happened by having a copy of the decision report for each run without impacting system performance?

    Has anyone else encountered this issue?

  • Object Id on the Decision Report List applet does not display the Object Id

    The Object Id field of the Decision Report List Applet displays either the entity name of the entity name - Id. We wouldlike to dispay the siebel row Id's in that field respectivey for the parent or the child or grandchild entities.Please help with h to go about it.
    If the base entity is declared as global in OPM, then global gets displayed in the Object id. If a siebel entity is declared as an entity in OPM then entityname - Id gets displayed.
    Thanks !!

    Unfortunately the decision report comes from deep with the engine and there is not much you can do to change it.
    However, the Decision report is XML which is then modified by an XSLT for display in Siebel. You could have a look at the style sheet and the original XML and see if there is a way for displaying the XML that might be more suitable for your purpose.
    The xslt is decision_report.xslt and can be found in the siebsrvr\XSLT directory.
    Cheers

  • Generate SSRS Report and save as PDF in SharePoint

    Hi,
    I am working on a SharePoint 2010 Visual WebPart that lets a user click a button to generata a SSRS report and save the report in a SharePoint Library as a PDF file.  Code is mentioned below:
    try
    string siteContext = SPContext.Current.Web.Url;
    string strReport = siteContext + "/Reports/Quote/Quote.rdl";
    WR_SSRS.ReportExecutionService rs = new WR_SSRS.ReportExecutionService();
    rs.Url = siteContext + "/_vti_bin/ReportServer/ReportExecution2005.asmx";
    rs.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;
    byte[] result;
    string format = "PDF";
    string historyID = null;
    string devInfo = "<DeviceInfo><Toolbar>False</Toolbar></DeviceInfo>";
    WR_SSRS.ParameterValue[] parameters = new WR_SSRS.ParameterValue[3];
    parameters[0] = new WR_SSRS.ParameterValue();
    parameters[0].Name = "EnqID";
    parameters[0].Value = enqID.ToString();
    parameters[1] = new WR_SSRS.ParameterValue();
    parameters[1].Name = "QuotationID";
    parameters[1].Value = quoteID;

    using (SPWeb web = site.OpenWeb())
    web.AllowUnsafeUpdates = true;
    SPFolder folder = web.Folders[siteContext + "/Quotes"];
    string filename = string.Concat(quoteID, ".pdf");
    //remove old copies
    SPList lib = web.Lists["Quotes"];
    foreach (SPListItem i in lib.GetItems())

    item["FinalQuote"] = "No";
    item.Update();
    web.AllowUnsafeUpdates = false;
    catch (Exception ex)
    LogError(ex.Message);
    The WebPart works fine in my local server and even on another development testing server.  However, once deployed to the live server that has claims authentication it stops working and throws an error that says:
    "Client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', but expected 'text/xml'.
    The request failed with the error message:
    <RSError xmlns="http://www.microsoft.com/sql/reportingservices"><MoreInformation><Message>An unknown error occurred with the Reporting Services endpoint on this SharePoint site. Contact the SharePoint site administrator for help.</Message></MoreInformation></RSError>
    If I open the report manually in SharePoint Site, it works fines it even works fine when try to view in a WebPart.
    Can someone help me with this ?
    Regards, Vikram

    Hi Vicky,
    Based on the error message, it is related to the service account for reporting service.
    If the Report Server service runs under a built-in account such as NetworkService, the Grant database access option in SharePoint Central Administration will not work correctly.
    Configure the service account to run under a domain user account as follows:
    1. Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server.
    2. On the Service Account page, click Use another account, enter a domain user account, and click Apply.
    3. Click Web Service Identity, for Report Server, click New, type an application Restart the Report Server service.
    Here is a detailed MSDN article for your reference:

  • Error in generating parameterized report in siebel 8.1.1.5

    Hi, we recently upgraded to siebel 8.1.1.5. My report displays the values selected by the user in the parameter applet. I have done the following as indicated in the Reports Guide:
    1) Define parameters in Siebel UI
    Label: Report View Type
    Name: Report_View_Type
    Type: LOV
    Picklist: Plan List Report Type
    2) Declare the parameter in rtf template
    <?param@begin: Report_View_Type?>
    3) Upload template in Templates view
    4) Associate view
    The parameter applet appears but after clicking the Submit button, Siebel goes idle. I can't do anything so I resort to closing the entire window. I don't seem to find any error logged in the xdo.log file:

    As you can see, I am testing for only one parameter and am unsuccessful in generating the pdf. Anyone who has a success story with the enhanced parameterized reporting in Siebel 8.1.1.5? We have no problems generating the regular BIP reports (non-parameterized) so I think we can rule out any patch installation issues. Appreciate any help :)

    Please close this thread...it appears that the error occurs when the report involves a big set of records. I tried trying to filter only one record and was able to produce the pdf

  • Report and Layout Import Wizard does not work

    We used the Report and Layout Import Wizard extensively in 8.80 with no problems encountered.
    We are now upgraded to 8.81 PL07.  This is the first attempt at using the wizard in 8.81.  The intro window of the wizard, with 'To Start, use the "Next" button' message is as far as I can get.  The "Next" and "Cancel" buttons are inoperative - when I click them, there is no response (but they are not greyed out).  The program has not crashed - I can move the window, and the "X" close button at top right works, but nothing else does.  I am logged in as a superuser, running B1 in an RDP session on the server, same as under 8.80.
    Any ideas out there?

    Hi,
    This is a 8.81 PL07 bug!
    I had the same problem this week, and i found the note [1615932 - Buttons "Cancel" and "Next" are inactive in Report and layout import wizard window], that says that it is corrected on PL08!

  • Adding a Subreport to existing report and getting this error, "Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters"

    I have taken on an existing vb.net project done in Visual Studio 2008 with crystal reports version Crystal Report XI.
    The reports on their own work very well. Problem is I need to add information to my report which is a 'many-to-one' situation where for each Project Id that I am displaying I need to display several attached documents and the report I am working on is for several Project Id's.
    I figured this would be a perfect situation for a SubReport. I created a separate report which calls a stored procedure to get all of the Attached Documents for a specific Project Id. I thought if I were to add this new SubReport to the Original Report and link the Project Id's, easy-peazy, I would be done.
    This is not the case. I have vb code that loads the Original Report with a stored procedure and when this code runs with the setup I described above it fails when it is creating the final report with the following error:
    Logon failed. Details: crdb_adoplus : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Error in File C:\~\ProjectDescriptionReport {6BA19F79-2A12-4826-B1F6-456EF799963B}.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters.
    I have no specific connections in my vb code for the reports. If I do not add the subreport to the main report, it loads correctly, so I know the error is caused by the subreport.
    This is the code that creates the original report (sorry for dumping the code here, i just thought it would be easier to see all the code) :
    Public Function LoadReport(ByVal inProjectNum As Integer, ByVal strProjectName As String) As DataTable ', ByVal inFiscalYear As Integer, ByVal inCompany As String) As DataTable
            Dim cnn As SqlConnection = Nothing
            Dim cmd As Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand
            Dim obj As New clsDataClass
            Dim dataAdapter As SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter
            Try
                LoadReport = New DataTable("DescriptionReport")
                cmd = New SqlCommand()
                cnn = obj.Create_Connection()
                With cmd
                    .CommandType = Data.CommandType.StoredProcedure
                    .Connection = cnn
                    .CommandTimeout = "60"
                    .CommandText = "usp_GetProjectGroupSpecsCR"
                    .Parameters.AddWithValue("@ProjectNumber", inProjectNum)
                    .Parameters.AddWithValue("@ProjectName", strProjectName)
                End With
                dataAdapter = New System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter
                dataAdapter.SelectCommand = cmd
                dataAdapter.Fill(LoadReport)
                Dim oRpt As New ReportDocument()
                oRpt.Load(Server.MapPath("ProjectDescriptionReport.rpt"))
                oRpt.Refresh()
                oRpt.SetDataSource(LoadReport)
                'oRpt.OpenSubreport("AttachmentsReport").SetDataSource(LAR)
                oRpt.SetParameterValue("inProjectNum", inProjectNum)
                oRpt.SetParameterValue("strProjectName", strProjectName)
                oRpt.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response, True, "Projects_DescriptionReport") 'inCompany & "ProjectsReport_Description" & inFiscalYear) <-- Line where the error occures.
    What I need to know is what is the proper way to add a subreport to a vb.net application?
    From the ways I have tried it is clearly not working and I am out of ideas. I am fairly new to Crystal Reports and this way of coding it.
    Any help for this would be greatly appreciated, I've been stuck on this for a while and am finally reaching out to the Crystal Report Specialists.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,
    You may want to check the Connection properties also. I think the MS Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand is using the MDAC driver, or could be modified.
    If you are connecting to SQL Server 2008 or above you should be using the SQL Native 10 or 11 Client.
    As Dell suggests have a look at the samples and if you can use a DSN ( 32 bit or 64 bit ODBC Admin )
    Also search for "CRlogger", you'll find how to enable CR's database logging component and may help show you what part is failing.

  • Can We Display a Tabular Format in the Decision Report?

    Hello,
    One of my current OPA integrations is replacing an Excel-based application that calculates entity values across rows and columns. In the OPA version, the rows are separated into screens, and the columns - the results - are displayed in a decision report that shows a single value per line, and is not vertically aligned. This makes the results much more difficult to view "at a glance" compared to the legacy solution. I'm wondering if there's any way to incorporate tabular formatting (mainly vertical alignment) within the decision report - does anyone know?
    Thanks!
    - Patrick

    With version 10.3 and the BI publisher integration you can design virtually any format for the decisions you wish. When using BI publisher, a completely customized decision report is quite easy. See the OPM help topic "BI Publisher code for Oracle Policy Modeling" and/or the example that ships with 10.3 for more info. If using the web service to make determinations, you could also post process the XML for the decision report (i.e. using XSLT or code) to produce a table in XML or HTML. Customizing the "default" decision report into a tabular view would probably prove more difficult than the other options.

  • Questions regarding risk register, resource pool, reports and KPI

    I am going on a requirement gathering activity today about a new MS Project Server project. I have knowledge of SharePoint but my knowledge of Project Server is very limited. Following will be my topic of discussion with client. Can you please tell me what
    kind of questions can I ask about them? I want to gather as much requirement as possible from client.
    Some of the question I can think of are:
    1. What fields will be there in each register?
    2. What kind of permission do you want on each register? For e.g. will each register will be publicly viewable to all users or not?
    3. How many KPIs and Dashboards do you need?
    Topics
    • Project Register
    • Issue Register
    • Risk Register
    • Decision Register
    • Invoice Register
    • Change Request Register
    • Deliverable Register
    • Resource Pool
    • Reports and KPIs

    As You know Project Server sits on SharePoint. If you know which version of Project server your client want.
    Then you can ask some question(I am giving you list of few question) like:
    1. Approx No of users
    group and security related questions like which kind of permission they want for Project manager, team member, resource manager etc.
    2 Approx no of Project per year
    3. Avg no of task per project
    4. Project level Custom field
    5. Task level Custom Field
    6. Resource Level Custom field
    7. Project, resource or task level of custom view
    8. Any demand Management workflow
    9. back up and restore strategy.
    10. any Issue or risk associated with project and mitigation plans
    11. drivers or strategy for Portfolio management
    12. If any change need to be done in EPM environment how you guys can handle it.
    13. for Delivery you can split your project in phases in which first phase will contain installation and basic configuration  then report development, then Custom development, then Training  and support
    14. which kind of report they want (SSRS, Excel baed, Performance point, dashboard, Power pivot)
    15. for reports what would  be the KPI
    16. Tracking method, Timsheet usage, status Reports
    17. whether they will use default Project site or customized project site
    18. Enterprise Project template for Business unit.
    19. Department specific reports.
    20 .for infra you can ask (Redundancy, server performance high availability )
    etc.
    Please group all these as per our need.

    This specifically means that the destinations have not been configured in the Crystal Job Server.  If you're running 4.x, this may be part of the "Adaptive Job Server" instead of or in addition to a Crystal Job Server.  If you're using 3.1 or earlier, you'll also have to set up the destination in the Destination Job Server.
    You'll have to log in to the CMC, go to Servers, right-click on the correct job server and go to "Destinations".  You'll then add something like "File" or "Unmanaged Disk" to the available destinations and save.  Stop the job server, start it again, and your error should go away.
    Please be aware that unless you're using specific credentials to schedule the report or you're saving to the server where BO is installed, you'll need to make sure that the BO services are running under a network "Services" account that has access to the folder you're scheduling the report to. By default during installation it's set to run under the "Local Services" account that doesn't have access to the network.
