Defect Correction, Solman 7.1

Hi Folks,
I have configured Defect Correction, everything is working fine.
But I have 2 queries regarding DC :-
1) Categories field in Defect Correction is greyed out. Why ? Any Idea? Am I missing any configuration for ZMTM
Please note I have done all the configuration changes and Categories are editable in ZMCR, ZMIN transactions but same is not visible in ZMTM (copy of SMTM, however if I open SMTM transaction, then Categories are editable)
2) Transport of Copies creation is not supported in Defect Correction. Right ? Because while doing Informal Testing, I found that no TCOPs are being created specifically, I have to import original TRs manually via Task List.
Thanks much.
Ankit

Hi Prakhar,
Please see below  screenshots.
I think everything is covered ,pl let me know if I am missing anything.
I think there is one table whch eeds to be updated, because although I change properties of categories in WEB UI, but it is somehow I think is taking by default values, not ZSOLMANPRO values.

  • TS4006 How can I turn on my device so I can locate my stolen I Phone??? And if not; how can I pettition APPLE that there is a defect in "Find My I Phone". If its stolen do I need device to be on in order to find????

And if there is a way but I just don't know then educate me please!!!!
And if not then how can I petition APPLE that there is a defect in "Find My I Phone".
If its stolen I should not need device to be on in order to find unless I can turn on remotely!!!!
Also another defect is that if the device is locked with a code then it should be really locked......
Why is it that you can still use buttons??????........
You should not be able to turn off unless you have the code!!!!!!
And with that defect corrected imagine how safe it would make the consumers if everyone knew that if a phone was locked, it was really locked!!!
Everyone would be able to find their phones and nobody could stop them from them finding their phones!!!!!
PROBLEMS SOLVED!!!!!! NOBODY'S I PHONE WOULD EVER BE STOLEN!!!!!!
Does anyone know can you turn on remotely??????

You cannot turn it on remotely. Griping and complaining won't make it any better.
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
This link, Re: Help! I misplaced / lost my iPhone 5 today morning in delta Chelsea hotel downtown an I am not able to track it. Please help!, has some good advice regarding your options when your iDevice is lost or stolen.

  • Test Management shows Incorrect status of Defect Incidents in Reports.

    Hi Experts,
For Solution Manager Test Management, We have created Defect Correction by Copying it from SMIN Transaction and created user required statuses in it. But when now we are trying to generate report for Test Packages which has Defect Correction raised, We can see that the statuses in the report are not correct, For Example(Instead of Resolved MPT Exceeded, Customer Action MPT Warning it shows MPT Exceeded and MPT Warning respectively.). You can refer to the attached screenshot for more details.
Could you please help me to understand where are this Statuses updated from in the Reports.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh Bhor.

    Rakesh,
First try to match whether the same status also exists in the transaction itself.
In Tcode CRMBS02 double check the status especially the last column with values of INPR/FINI etc which controll whether the ticket is closed or in process .

  • CHARM 7.1: subsequent document not created

I currently work on a CHARM implementation on SolMan 7.1 SP3 using a couple of Z transaction types which are all derived from the originals (like SMCR, SMMJ, SMHF). I've copied the original types using the copy tool from the CHARM setup guided procedure in SOLMAN_SETUP.
It actually works without any problems when I create a "Normal Correction" (my transaction type ZMMJ, heavily modified) out of a Request for Change. Once approved and released for development the ZMMJ document is created properly on saving the RfC.
If I try the same procedure for ZMHF (Urgent Correction) or ZMAD (Admin) - which still are plain copies of the SAP original - nothing happens. They are approved, scope contains type "Urgent" or "Admin" as well as status "approved" but in contrary to ZMMJ, a subsequent document is neither displayed in the RfC nor actually created. Anyhow If I switch to the original versions (SMHF, SMAD) there's no problem. Manual creation of ZMHF or ZMAD (without an RfC) is actually no problem either. I've checked the service net for notes but didn't find anything.
Anyone got a clue? Any help highly appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Andy

    Hello Andy,
I solved the issue, specifically by following step 3. of Mr. Vollmer's document:
    http://scn.sap.com/community/it-management/alm/solution-manager/blog/2012/10/10/a-non-standard-use-case-creating-defect-corrections-via-the-request-for-change-scope
In any case, please check all 4 steps.
    Kindly advise,

  • Use Camera RAW with Sony Nex-3

    Hey Guys!
I want to get out more details from my photos.
    Im using Adobe Photoshop CS5
Sony NEX-3 Compact Camera (listed in the camera raw compatibility list)
First i changed the cameras picture format from jpg to RAW & made some photos.
At home i tried to open the files with Camera Raw. Doesnt work. The sony camera saved the pictures as an ARW File.
So i downloaded Adobe DNG Converter. I converted the ARW into a RAW file and opened it with camera raw.
So far so good! I opended the RAW picture with Photoshop. Just for testing with 8 & also 16 bit. Does my camera support 16bit?
I compared the RAW File with the new created jpg.
Normaly the quality of the raw file should be much better than the compressed jpg i think.
I took a look at some other jpg pictures (i shot them in JPG Mode) & compared them with the RAW Images (RAW Mode).
I saw absolutely no difference between RAW & JPG.
I also tried a exact tonal value correction at both images.
Same with other picture corrections. Details, Noise, Sharpness.... same.
With the Sony NEX-3 there also was a RAW Program included which opens the ARW Files.
I cant see some differences between RAW & jpg here too.
    What I am doing wrong?
I have to say that i am an camera raw beginner. I tried this for the first time. I thought this would be easier!
At the screenshot below you see a JPG picture on the left & a 16bit DNG on the right.
    I found no differences!
I would be very happy about your help and some good advices.
    Best regards Andi

Basicly i understand how RAW works. But im still wondering why i cant see just only a very little difference to my jpg Images.
The image of the Mountain Railway Station i postet has a lot of dark shadow areas & details.
I´m also wondering why these chromatic aberrations are shown in the RAW file? I thought its only in the jpg images because of the compression.
Your raw file may be 12 or 14 bit, and have no output colour space - it is only limited by its physical characteristics and analogue-to-digital converters. You should set Camera Raw for the biggest workspace necessary, which in my case is 16 bit AdobeRGB. Others work in ProPhotoRGB—it's a personal choice. This has the effect of constraining the raw data, and you will learn to use the sliders to work within those constraints.
Using normal processing settings there will only be subtle differences between the conversion preview and the camera JPEG. The tonal response will be slightly different, seeming slightly lighter or darker, and the colours' hue/saturation will be slightly different too. Also, depending on the camera, automatic distortion/vignette/aberration correction will be missing. This is all to be expected, and your expectations have been misplaced.
However, this is only a starting point. Whilst JPEG shooters can go on to process their images, the resulting quality will be inferior; JPEG is a finished image format. Raw shooters have much more to play with, and can manipulate the conversion's parameters to boost shadows, recover highlights, adjust mean exposure, increase/reduce/localise sharpening and noise control, apply processing gradients and masks, apply local contrast and selective saturation boosts, and correct your camera's colour response, as well as apply lens defect corrections—all before the conversion to JPEG.
So, you won't start to see the difference until you start to push these adjustments. You have been given a second (and a third and a fourth...) chance to create your JPEG using your own set of picture parameters, and the ability to change these parameters for each photo after taking the photo.
In your photo above, you can bring out detail in the shadows by boosting Fill and Blacks. As you shot in Raw, you will have a good amount of tonal resolution recorded in the shadows (assuming you didn't underexpose in the first place), which would be absent from a JPEG. You also have the ability to change the sharpening to suit the image, and even apply local sharpening where it's needed most (and less where it's not needed).
You also have the ability to modify Camera Raw's default settings how you like it. You can enable automatic lens defect corrections (like chromatic aberration—make sure you're on ACR 6.7). You can change the default camera profile (which dictates how tone, hue and saturation is translated) to a preset, or make your own using a calibrator. Do this and your starting point will be how you want it, not how Sony wants it.
I could go on, but I think you have probably heard much of this before. The main point I'm making is that you shouldn't expect to see a big difference straight away, but the possibilities you have created are much greater.

  • Convert Word 2007 doc to PDF, numbered bookmarks lose numbering

I've never had trouble converting a Word 2007 document to PDF before. All the bookmarks I selected converted nicely and retained their numbering. Recently my IT department upgraded me to Acrobat Pro X and I'm having several bookmark issues.
    1. Some of the bookmarks I select in the Acrobat ribbon --> Preferences --> Bookmarks are not converted and I have to manually create them in the PDF.
    2. None of the bookmarks retain Word numbering. I have Word 2007 Headings numbered in the document, but in the PDF, none of the bookmarks are numbered. This is a major pain to edit each bookmark to add the proper heading numbers (1, 1.1, 1.2, 2, 2.1, etc.).
Are these known issues and are defect corrections in the works? Is anyone else having these problems?

I'm having the same problem. As you can see, the number appears in the heading, which came from MS Word, but not in the bookmark.

  • Sun Update Connection Client 1.0.8 now available

The Sun Update Connection System client, version 1.0.8 is now available as
    software update 121118-08 (SPARC) or 121119-08 (x86). Version 1.0.8
is the biggest update we have produced since the initial release of the Sun Update
Connection and includes the following enhancements:
o Sun Update Manager has a brand new user interface which includes a new
look and icons, numerous usability improvements such as better progress
reporting and the ability to print/save installed and available patch lists and
    patch README files.
o Support for Solaris Live Upgrade so patches can be added to an inactive
    alternate boot environment.
o The Solaris 10 SMF configuration framework is now used to trigger the
installation of patches with special handling requirements (single user mode
or restart-after required) which will improve compatibility and reliability.
o The version 1.0.8 client uses a new Sun-hosted patch server that outsources
content delivery to Akamai. This enables us to provide superior download
    performance to our customers worldwide.
For a complete list of the defects corrected in this release please
refer to the patch README file for this patch. Note also that this
update includes fixes that were delivered in prior releases of the
Sun Update Connection client software patch. By installing this update
you may be getting fixes that were previously available but not present
    on your system.
Sun Update Connection Hosted application has been refreshed to include
numerous user interface adjustments and fixes that have been suggested by a
customer focus group usability study. Although there are no new features,
the usability of the product is substantially improved.
    Thank You,
    Sun Update Connection Team

On the SunStudio Patches - I dont believe that this will be fully fixed since part of the problem is the patches themselves. I however do not have access to a SunStudio installed test system at present so I'd be interested to hear feedback from someone who has tried installing these through the SunUC 1.0.8 toolset
Fonts - I believe that greater flexibility will be coming in future releases. Work on the Update Manager gui is still ongoing
Patch server - Yes the SunUC proxy will use the new servers providing it has been upgarded to 1.0.8
Sun4u patch - This is an issue with the patch metadata being incorrect and not the toolset.

  • Automatic Debit note

    Hi all
The materials that are received from the vendor are sent for quality inspection. During inspection if the defect is a minor one, the same is rectified in the plant. A consolidate debit note will be sent to the vendor every month for the total defect correction. Now, this is maintained in a excel sheet by QA team and the calculations are done manually. Is there any Tcode where the details such as the vendor, material, no. of hours spent for correction and the amount be posted directly in SAP.
    Regards
    Mui

    Hi Mui,
As of now there is no such t-code to post directly, it can be acheived through customization you can take ABAPer help & do so.

  • What does "Always stay up to date with the latest photography innovations from Adobe" mean ?

    Hello,
I'm considering buying Lightroom 6 standalone version, but I wonder what the fact that "Always stay up to date with the latest photography innovations from Adobe" isn't available means ?
Will the standalone version be updated for free with new camera support ?
Will the standalone version be updated for free with defects correction ?
If there are new functionalities (lightroom minor version), won't they be available for standalone version before the next major version ?
    Thanks for your help

My understanding is that LR6 will continue to receive bug fixes and new camera support updates, but not any new functionality/features that LRCC receives. See question 2 at the bottom on this post: Lightroom CC/Camera Raw FAQ

  • Firmware upgrade question for 300 series switches

    Hi-
I have a customer that is investigating a strategy and solution for centralized firmware management of the 300 series switches.  They have found an issue in the lab where they were trying to roll back the firmware to a previous version  They can not roll back to the previous firmware version, which is desirable in the case of finding an issue in the new firmware that causes them to have need to rollback to a known working version.
We have read in the cisco 300 switch admin guide that there are two images (active and inactive) and that a new downloaded firmware always replaces the inactive image and is active until explicitly set.  The admin guide does not mention inability to make an older firmware image as active image when the switch has previously run on a new release firmware image.  My customer's engineers testing have informed me that an older image can not be made active after a newer image has booted.  Can you please verify if this if a fallback is supposed to work as it is causing a lot of concern-

  • Error in Integration of Defect Module of HP QC with SolMan Ehp 1

    Hi,
We are using QC version 10 patch 12 and connected with SolMan Ehp 1 for testing.
We are facing a problem in integrating the defect module of QC with Service desk of SolMan.
The required settings are done in SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Third Party Integration -> SAP Quality Center by HP -> Integration Defect Management.
SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Third Party Integration -> External Service Desk
We have also implemented the SAP note 1289155.
We are not using the Standard message type SLFN instead we have ZLFN.
See the bellow error message in QC during field maping.
The number of required defect fields in Quality center is different from the number of required support message fields in Application: u201Ceclsh112; WAS; 100u201D. Make sure the number of required fields is equal in both systems before you continue.
Can any one suggest on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
Try this it should solve the issue.
It seems that there is something wrong with your configuartion for the external service desk.
If possible could you remove the external service desk from in
Transaction ICTCONF and redefine it again?
Once you have done that please do the following steps:
    - Go to the Solution Manager project
    - Open the dialog to connect to a QC project
    - Confirm the dialog.
This will update the assignment with all technical details.
You can check the results in the Site Admin. There navigate to the corresponding QC project and check the content of table BLUEPRINTS. There should be exactly 1 entry with the relevant information for the service desk integration (see attached "BLUEPRINTS(QC).doc").
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Raghavendra.

  • SolMan 4.0 CHaRM: Insert Item to Normal Correction: Item category / product

I'm looking for some detailed documentation on <b>how to insert items to a Normal Correction</b>.
When I add an item with (standard) product SAPCUSTPRGOPT and choose the (standard) item category SDCR ("best I could find") then I get the error "<i>The item category 'SDCR' is not permitted for product 'SAPCUSTPRGOPT'</i>."
Now I'm looking for an example that will show me <b>how to insert an item with standard SOLMAN 4.0 settings</b>. I hesitate to step into the CRM customizing details prepared by SOLMAN, instead I would expect that standard setting should work if used properly.

  • Camera exposure correction defective for manual IS...

The photo camera exposure correction is defective for manual ISO setting in the N900 after updating the OS to PR1.2.
Link to the opened Bug (2010-05-28): https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10384
This feature is one of the main tools to use the excelent camera of the N900 to make good pictures. It is very important that this feature is working correctly again.
The bug apprears in the following test situation:
    - ISO-setting to ISO 100, 200 or 400 (not AutoISO).
    - Manual exposure correction to +0,5, +1,0, +1,5, +2,0 (overexpose) and -0,5, -1,0, -1,5, -2,0 (underexpose).
In this cases the picture turns to very dark (almost black) while it should be brighter regaring to the aimed overexposure or only slightly darker regaring to the aimed underexposure.
The bug is independend from other settings (flash, recording presets (portrait, landscape, night,…) or white balance.
The bug does not appear in video mode sinde there is no possibility to change the ISO settings to another value.
There is even a Youtube video showing this bug published by user ahtiven: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Da1nd_zgk4U
The summer is nearly over now and I am quite angry that there is no solution since this bug is now known since at least more than 2 months!
We all cannot use this good camera in my N900 to shoot good photos!
Currently automatic exposure is the only way to make photos which is not working well in many exposure cases!
It seems that nothing is going on in this case - there is no feedback and no workaround!
Please at least offer a package in the repositories to set the camera back to the last firmware status where this bug didn't appear! And please respond here to tell what is planned to solve the problem!

Today this bug was closed and marked as "WONTFIX"
The users originally could buy a device which had certain important capabilities in the camera interface's usability. Then Nokia did a mayor mistake in disabling this capabilities in one of the firmware updates (PR 1.2) since they programmed this severe bug which is causing this error in the functionality available before. They missed to fix this in the firmware upgrade to PR 1.3 and now they are obvoisely trying to sweep it under the carpet!
It is definately our right as customers to demand that the camera application remains at least in the functionality it had when we bought the device!
So a bugfix of this bug is mandatory!
In my opinion someone is in charge of repairing this which he has slipped up in PR 1.2. He didn't had the heart to reply yet (neither in the maemo bug website https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10384 nor in this discussion) and he is not doing his job's duty properly and in an professional way. Instead he is leaving the derangement, isn't it?
If the N900 would get a MeeGo upgrade from Nokia side it would be acceptable to solve this bug in MeeGo but since the Meamo is the official firmware dead end from Nokia side it is a scandal leave this bug unfixed !!!
The last thing we can do is to get more
user's feedback to nokia in this case:
    ==============================================
Please all readers support this posting with your comments
so we can get the responsibles to do this little but important
correction in the N900 camera application!
