Delay between getting added to app store and showing up in search?
My first app made it into the app store last night but still doesn't show up when searching the store (either in iTunes or on the iPhone). Does Apple do a daily reindex or something along those lines?
Same here.. then the description updated but the search didn't. Now both are fine in the US store but neither have appeared in the UK store!
Shame as the increased visibility only happens for a short time as it is.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu initially showing Kind. From that menu, select Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select Raw Query and click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of popup menu. Click in that box and paste (command-V).
The search window will show all the App Store products you've installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test. -
I can only get on american app store and itunes when i live in australia
I have an iphone 3g on the optus network in australia. Everything was working fine until a couple of weeks ago when i restarted it by holding down the sleep button and the home button for 10 seconds. When it restarted it came up with iphone is activeated just like i had turned it on for the first time. when i went into the app store and realised it was the american one instead of the australian one. itunes was the same. I cant restore my phone as my computer is currently being repaired. Has anyone had this problem and doen anyone know how to fix it? thanks.

You could always sign-in to your account on another computer, but the sync requirement would cause you problems. -
I just bought the Launch Pro app. Within the app it shows all supported apps, one of them is Recall, I click on Recall it goes to the App Store but doesn't open, it's just a blank white square, all the other apps that I have tried open fine. I've long suspected that my X is getting EVERY WORD that's spoken in my house and every email, web site that I go to...every everything. Can someone please help. I found smart mailboxes on my lap top that I didn't set up, the night that I discovered these my laptop crashed. Help help help.

I tried to get on the App Store and it said cannot connect to iTunes Store but I setup my iMessage with the same apple ID. So I went to the settings and tried to put my apple ID and it said cannot connect to iTunes Store AGAIN.

I just bought OS X Lion and now it says I need to go to the App store and pay even more money to get a newer iPhoto for PhotoStream to work between my iPhone and my computer. Is this a rip off to make us pay more $ or is there another way to update iPhoto?

I have an Ipad My apple ID and password works for Ibooks and Icloud but when I try to get into the app store it doesn't show my entire email address on the account. When I try to get into the app store it tells me my password is incorrect. How can I correct this? I have been emailing support but so far they have been no help
Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap the Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in with the Apple ID of your choosing.

I am trying to download xfinity tv go app. I can not find it in my App Store and can not download it from the comcast website. All I get is a blank screen in the App Store. My Apple ID is associated with a Canadian address. How can I find the app?

After moving from Canada to the US, getting a new iPhone 5C, and restoring my backup from iCloud, I can't update my apps. I get an error message that my account is not valid in the Canadian App store and I must change to the US store. How do I do that?
Change here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use. -

I have just updated my iphone software to iOS5 and now my app store and itunes on my phone is all in japanese characters!! how do i get it back to english as i dont know how much my apps are and what buttons im pressing?!?
I have the same problem! Let me know if you manage to sort it out. My iPad did the same thing but to full restore from iTunes sorted that out. Have you tried that? No such luck with my iPhone.
