Delay between sending messages

Hi, I sometimes need to send 500+ individual emails and just about every time I end up with errors messages, saying "too many messages", "mail server not responding" etc and reading my ISP's FAQ they recommend sending an email a
minute when sending large volumes (500+ is certainly not a large volume, but..), so I've been looking for any rules or plug-ins etc that would enable me to run a email merge, generate 500+ unique emails and then send a message a minute, so with 600
messages it would take 10 hours to send them all. I am using Outlook 2010 (pop3). Thanks

Hi,
There is no feature in Outlook to schedule sending a message per a minute for lots of messages. We can only schedule sending time for individual messages by using Delay Delivery option in Outlook:
For your cases, please find any third party tools to achieve it. Or we can contact Microsoft Outlook Develoment forum for more suggestions:

  • How to put a delay between Sender Adapter processing ?

    Hi,
I'm using FTP type and I schedule the sender each 1hour. In that time, plenty of file has been added into the source folder.
The files are like this <file_name_###>.txt where the ### are a incremental number. PI can takes all of them in order thanks to this patern : <file_nme>*.txt, but when processing it takes all the file in one time.
I would like to put a delay between each file. Is it possible ?
    Kind regards
    Joseph BERTHE

    Hi Joseph,
I need it because the receiver is a RFC adapter so I call a BAPI. But I want a unique call. So When the first file is eaten by PI it executes the BAPI, but during that time no one can execute that same BAPI. So I want to put a delay between each file.
    > Delay between Sender Adpter Processing will not be possible .
But you can make the Interface work in EOIO fashion . by that your inputs will be processed one after the other .
Make the parameter "Quality of Service"- Exactly Once in order at your sender adapter level for this.
EOIO (Exactly Once In Order): Here Messages are delivered with the same queue name as in the same sequence that they were sent from the sender system. Message processing will be asynchronous in this case.

Whats the difference between sending messages via socket and MQs?

    Soph wrote:
Whats the difference between sending messages via socket and MQs?With JMS (and the like) your application uses a socket to connect to a central server called a "*Message Broker*". Over this connection it can send or receive messages.
A Message Broker is somewhat analogous to a database server. Multiple clients connect to it to exchange messages. As with a database a client first establishes a connection, then requests specific facilities like subscriptions.
It creates a strong decoupling between sender and receiver and handles stuff like allowing multiple receivers for the same message, queuing of messages for applications not currently running and so on.
(And don't worry, you can get perfectly good message brokers for free such as openMQ and activeMQ.)

  • Long delay between send button and actual send in mail

When sending messages in mail, there is a long delay between the time I hit the send button and the actual sending begins.  Message and attachment size have no bearing.  The delay is usually about 30 seconds, but sometimes longer.

There was info in the detail window when I opened it.  Also, it was not immediately connecting to the server, but when I clicked back on the regular mail window to send a test message, the server connected instantly.  Below is all that was in the details window:

  • Delay when sending messages in Thunderbird

When I compose a mail message in Thunderbird and click Send, the program immediately finds the server, but hangs for about 30 seconds on the state "connected to mail.ba-zing.com" - the progress bar stops moving, and nothing happens for approximately 30 seconds.  Then, suddenly, the program resumes, and sends the message.  Any idea why this might be happening?  I tested sending messages from Thunderbird on a different computer through the same server and it worked just fine, so I know it's not the server.

Nothing is printed to the terminal when I send a message.  The only thing that is printed to the terminal is printed when the program first opens:
Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file

  • Mail delays before sending messages

Since I upgraded to Mavericks, Mail has the annoying habit of no longer sending outgoing messages right away.  Rather they are placed in the que in the outgoing mailbox and sometime later they are all sent. I liked the immediate send better in the earlier versions of the OS.  Is there anyway to go back to an immediate send version?
    Thank you.

  • Long delay between welcome message and agent picking up

Hello, when I call to to the lync client I hear the welcome text and music , but only after 25-30 seconds the call reaches one of the agents ??
in the snooperlog I see a sip /2.0 200 OK message and it takes about 15 seconds before another event happens, which is the invite.
    What can this be ??
I moved a lync server from a hyper-v to a physical server, is anything still hanging around maybe ?
I don't see anything of it in the snooper log though

First, if this is response group call, just for testing, unselect Edge server from your Lync pool and try again.
Second, you have to remove old servers. If they are here, they could create multiple problems. Try the following commands to find objects that belong to the old pools:
    Get-CsUser -Filter {RegistrarPool -eq "lyncpool.domain.local"} | Select-Object Displayname
    Get-CsCommonAreaPhone -Filter {RegistrarPool -eq "lyncpool.domain.local"} | Select-Object Displayname
    Get-CsExUmContact -Filter {RegistrarPool -eq "lyncpool.domain.local"} | Select-Object Displayname
In additions, check your conferencing directories.

  • Issue with sending message delay

Hi; Got an issue that has cropped up with Mail lately. Been on the phone all day with Apple Care. Every test on the planet hasn't found what's wrong. I would greatly appreciate knowing if anyone else has come across this issue.
Mail version 4.3 (1081) on a clean IMac OSX 10.6.4. All updates current as of today. ISP is RCN; all settings correct and no known issues with the RCN SMTP server according to them.
Issue is repeatable through all troubleshooting tests performed today. You name it; we did it :-))
Issue seems isolated to sending messages in Mail. Message can be composed normally, then when the send button is hit, I get a revolving wheel for between 30 and 45 seconds on the send folder, then the message clears normally and in the case of a test back to me, can be received normally.
What's strange is that I installed Thunderbird for the sole purpose of testing the send function there to isolate MAIL as the culprit and all messages instantly cleared in Thunderbird and received normally. This takes the RCN SMTP server out of the error equation as far as I can determine.
Anyone have any ideas on this issue. Apple has given up trying to find the problem.
    Many thanks
    Dudley Henriques

It is "Mail and Address Book" but it's a subset of 10.5

  • Sending messages between clients

    hi,
I want to make small instant messenger, like yahoo.I have made a server which accept connection from different client & send online user list to each and every client connected to the server.
But now i have to send messages between the clients(chatting).
This can be do either through server or allow server establishing connection betwwen two client & allow them to continue chatting session. But i am not able to figure out how i do either of the things using socket programming.
Please help me ,to establish chatting session between the clients.
    Thank you for replies
    alok

Yes, It should be Non public to Other client but not to server.
Suppose client1 want to send message to client2 then it send message to server, then server passes this message to client2.
Now as client2 got the it send some reply to client1 which
is also reach to client1 through server. But I have problem ,as how
does client2 knows to which client he has send message as no of clients are connected to the server & more then one client has send message to client2.
Basically I have problem in sending reply to a message send by the different client connected to the server.
    Thank You for reply

  • OSB 11g JMS minimum Delay Between Messages

    Hi ,
We are consuming messages asynchronously from Weblogic JMS Queue using OSB BS. We want to add time delay between messages consume. It is kind of sequential messages, one after another, with time delay 1 sec. How to achieve this ?
    Thanks,
    Sri

ps1(jms)->ps2(sb)->ps3(sb)->ps4(sb)From my understanding, the code for ps2, ps3 and ps4 should also get executed in the thread in which ps1 is executed. So if you put a constraint on the first then you are effectively putting a constraint on the entire flow.
The number 16 for jms comes from weblogic mdb container's internal. I believe it is fixed and cant change . Doc says
Default work manager or unconstrained work manager : Thread varies due to self-tuning, up to Min(max-beans-in-free-pool,16) If you are on non polling transports like http, then the max thread constraint available should be restricted only by the size of the self tuning execute thread pool. All requests coming for the proxy will be placed in the execute queue which will be further serviced by a thread in the execute thread pool.
Refer to weblogic tuning docs on fine tuning default exceute queue and threads.

  • Brief delay sending messages with spinning wheel

Using Lync 2013 clients, some users report brief delay with their message and notice spinning wheel for few seconds and then the message gets delivered successfully.
This is only with few users who are local as well as remote,
Trying to understand the possible causes of delay and optimize things.
Please suggest what all we need to check and verify.

    HI
This happens only when there is a delay in Network. I hope IM is getting dilivered later.
You may check weather these users are on different LAN and what is the delay they are getting during Peer to Peer IM. you may also check by using network tool or Lync disgonitic tool also.

  • How do I send messages between my iPhone 4s, my daughters iPods and my sons iPad?

How do I send messages via my iPhone 4s and my daughters iPods and my sons iPad? I really want to make the

  • IMessage not sending messages on iPhone 5

New iPhone 5 has been having all kinds of problems with messages.  Phone is set to use iMessage and some are delayed for DAYS before arriving.  When someone tries to send and iMessage, it will generally get stuck at Sending.  Outgoing iMessages say delivered but the person won't receive them until I get home and my iPhone connects to my WiFi (at which point I also get a flood of iMessages that were sent all day long).  Tried turning off LTE to see if that helps. No luck.  If someone is having trouble sending, they can Send As Text Message (SMS) and the message goes right through.  I have turned off iMessage because that is the only way I can reliably get messages.  Never had this problem on iPhone 4 that the 5 replaced.
Anyone else seen this or have a solution. Tried rebooting iPhone but that didn't help.  iMessage off is the only thing that allows me to get messages when they are sent (and to send messages).

Having the same problem with my iphone 4S. I can send/receive sms messages no problem but for some reason I cannot send/receive imessages. I have been able to do a network reset and it works but only for a limited time.

  • How to keep waiting time between processed messages !!

    Hi Folks,
I have got one scenario required waiting time between processed messages. The problem as follows !!
File --> Proxy scenario. I receive 15 messages from sender side (same messages structure) so working with one interfaces. File picking and transforming this message and split into 2 messages. messages are receiving to receiver. I am using BPM with 7,8 steps like receiving step, block , message transformation step , internal block 1 for sender 1, internal block 2 for sender 2.
All things are working fine, messages are going to receiver properly. But customer requirement is , wait step required between processed messages before sender1. I have put wait step still, PI picks all messages in one shot processing and waiting for 2 minutes, after 2 minutes sending all messages at the same time, this process is not working.
I have tried with wait step in mapping (Sarvesh) given excellent idea, still PI works the same way.
Can someone please explain a bit why the messages or not waiting message by message. I am using EOIO with Queue name and file process mode "BY NAME" and I have tried "BY TIME" as well. I have given priority to this Queue. On BPM Queue assignment : One Queue.
Please I am expecting positive answer !!
    Many Thanks in Advance
    San

    Hi Rudolf Yaskorski ,
Not sure about your PI release and BPM model, do you create separate process instance for each file, or do you process files collecting them in one single instance? Are you using parallelization within your ccBPM ?
I am using serialization, I don't think bpm can do Parallization until PI 7.0, but PI 7.11 has got has queue assignment. But I am using one queue. This must be serialization.
To me it looks like your issue is not in ccBPM but rather more in polling files (as per your post file CC polls all 15 files in one shot). So if you wish to poll the files not at the same time some workaround is required. Possible options you could check out:
    A. Either implement "wait" in your mapping based on file name or other criteria (e.g. directory name). Check out if respective BPM instances are really created at different times.
I have used wait step in mapping. These 15 messages has to go through one interface. So I am using one interface. But I have checked mapping process time in all messages on receiver system. Shows same timing, even though I put 40000 ms waiting time in mapping.
    B. Try polling different files (or use different directories) with different channels and coordinate starting / stopping of your channels by scheduling availability for each CC in RWB. E.g. you poll file 1 with CC 1. You start 2 minutes later CC 2 and poll file 2. And so on.
I am not clear about this . On BPM waiting step is working and it keeps wait all messages, which are coming through one interface. Then it releases all messages at the same time.
I don't know how to resolve this. I have tried with Transport acknowledgment, but all messages are going to reciver system waiting at receiver system in priority queue and processing in EOIO, but taking so long. Rather all messages go and sits in queue, I want to stop messages by message with 2 minutes time gap. How please?
    Kind Regards
    San
