Deleted PO's not returned in PO search

Hello All,
I dont see deleted PO's when I search for PO's in process purchase orders transaction with blank value in status ( which means 'ALL' statuses). Where as if I search for PO's with status 'DELETED', I am able to see all the deleted PO's. Any Idea?

Hi Chandra,
there is reasoning behind not listing deleted POs to the user : Only documents that are still valid to the business, those which need have been processed to a certain degree and which shall be looked at as "further to be processed" are considered valuable to the typical user. Hence "All" actually contains "All documents deemed to be valid to be processed". This is typically addressed during user training.
Users quickly understand that All is not "virtually all" but "all those documents typically relevant to me".
Normally POs are deleted when they contain errors or when the business need expressed through them is not deemed to be valid (any more). Displaying invalid documents together with actually valid documents may rather confuse the user instead of helping him or her to get the job done.
From a usability standpoint I'd probably refrain from "improving" the selection result by custom development.

Delete conference does not return a client session id

1. We have a CISCO TMS 14.6 and use TMS Booking API v15. When making a saveConference if the session id is blank, a session id is created and returned in the SOAP fault. But that is not the case with delete conference. If there is no client session id and the first request I make after booting up my server is a delete conference there is no way for me to get a client session id. Is this a miss or working per design?
2. Also on a side note, I don't understand why the calls to the API has to be made so complicated with the session ids. What is it useful for anyways?
3. Why is it required to make two calls to make a save conference call the very first time when there is no session id. Wouldn't it be better (and make more sense) to just return a session id when the session id is blank and process the saveconference call the first time itself rather than forcing the user to make the call the second time with the returned session id?

Find an item not returning results in SharePoint calendar list

Environment: SharePoint 2013 upgraded to SP1. We have 1000s of team sites that have been upgraded from 2010 to 2013. In the lists in these sites, quite often I encounter that
Find an item does not return results for certain fields other than the title field. For example, we have a calendar list which has a Single Line of Text field. I can not get meaningful results searching on
this field. I have tried this, no luck:

Thanks Ganesh. All these settings are as you recommended it to be. Nonetheless I double checked and here are the results:
Ensure in the Search Service Application that the Web Application is included in the Content Source under SharePoint Start Addresses.
Yes. Please remember we are getting search results. To be specific we are not getting Find items in the list to be returning accurate results.
Make sure that the address in Alternate access mappings default text box is same as the start crawl address in the search service application.

set “Require content approval for submitted item?” to “No”.
It is set to "No". However, will it not work for approved contents also?

Search does not return my documents

Hi Gurus,
I have created few documents using CM SDK. I could able to see these documents using IFS browser.
Now I wrote content search method to search document content.When I search for "cmsdk" string it returns 13 documents.But when I search for a string in the document, I created , for example a text like "struts" it does not return any result , though this document I can see in IFS browser.What could be the reason?.
BTW I didn't create any FORMAT type while I am storing the document. Can any one point me to a document where I can find some instructions on "must and should things to do before search".
I am using CM SDK 9.0.3.

Delete button not enabled on Inbox Search List

We are using CRM 2007 sp4. In one of our Web Interaction Centers we want to allow certain end users the ability to delete certain transactions from the inbox search list. At present when an item in the result list on the inbox [Component ICCMP_INBOX (Inbox Items)] the delete button is not enabled whilst the Edit, Display and Interact are all enabled. how do we enable the delete button.

Search not returning all entries

We destroyed our search nodes and cluster on the filesystem in one of our environments and have been working with support to get them back to life. We got the node to startup and we can now search for items without getting a "cant contact search server" error. But we are not seeing enough items in the results.
We tried setting status to 4 in PTSEARCHSTATUS and PTCARDSTATUS and then running a search repair and search update. After doing this, the cards (documents) can be found but only some of the objects such as the portlets are being returned. The search update flipped the status column to a 1 on some items but not all. Communities and community pages are not showing up but portlets are.
Any ideas?

Its working now.
It turns out that the magic number for the PTSEARCHSTATUS table's status column is 1. PTCARDSTATUS takes a 4.
After setting this and running search update (no repair needed) all admin objects were reindexed.

Binocular search for Cost Center is not returning any data

Hi Gurus,
When clicking on the SRM-Shooping Cart-Cost Assignment- Account Assignment Overview- Cost center Binocular search icon, it is not returning any data. However, when drilling down in the Account Assignment Overview, you will see another Binocular search icon for Cost Center which is working fine.
Any idea of how you troubleshoot it.

Not sure about the cost assignment drill down, but after we applied SP13 to SRM server 550 the binoculars for cost center stopped working. the following note corrected this.

If it has never worked, then probably need to setup a RFC dialog user for the F4 search help, Multiple threads on here around the dialog user for F4 with details on configuration and use.

Fuzzy search not returning results?

I'm executing a phonetic search on the nm_resource column. my application allows a call center employee to search on the resource name (nm_resource), if the resource is not found then they will enter a new one. The problem is someone may have already entered the resource name but spelled it incorrectly resulting in duplicate records for the same resource name. To enable the call center to retrieve records that may have the same sound but are spelled differently we have implemented the fuzzy search capability of Oracle text. Things have been going very nicely for the most part with the exception of this one issue we're trying to understand.
Using the query below we're searching for the resource name "rosies" the actual record in the database was entered as "rosy's". the search returns (rosies,rosie's,rosys) and does not return ---> rosy's <--- the record i'm interested in
it is reasonable to expect rosy's to be returned in the result set? my query should retunn the max fuzzy expansions and all fuzzy scores.

When you index "Rosy's", by default it sees the apostropohe as a delimiter and tokenizes and indexes "Rosy" and "s" separately. So, you could only find it by searching the singular form or the singular form obtained by using stemming. However, if you set the apostrophoe as a skipjoin, then it tokenizes and indexes "Rosys" as one token that you can then search for that using "rosies":. Please see the demonstration below. You might also be interested in soundex, which can be used with Oracle Text, or the functions in the utl_match package or metaphone.

SharePoint FAST Search 2010 not returning pdf files in search results

Hi,
Does anyone know why FAST Search 2010 is not returning pdf files in the results page.
I'd checked the crawl log and the total files crawled indicates that the pdf file is picked up by the crawl.

could you please make sure the PDF ifilter is properly configured? did you perform full crawl?

Shopping cart not returning to SoCo even after PO and confirmation deleted

Shopping cart not returning to SoCo even after PO and confirmation are deleted.
Steps followed:
Created shopping cart
SC approved
Assigned vendor in sourcing and created PO(PO created successfully created in ECC)
Confirmation created
Deleted the conformation
Deleted the PO
When PO is deleted SC should return to Sourcing Cockpit, but it is not returning.
Checked the table BBP_PDIGP, source_del_ind is space.
Ran BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP both the programs manually but in vein.

Can you try by just deleting the PO? Dont delete the confirmation.
I think once you have done the confirmation, the SC will not come back to SOCO. (Logically if you see, confirming means you have already received goods, so after receiving goods, I dont think SC will be visible again in SOCO)

i will have to read these links closer but what i meant to say is that the hard drive space that was being taken up seemed like it suddenly jumped way up because i had just gotten through a process in the last month where i am storing all my My Documents data on my Mac Pro. i am doing this in order to decide whether i should just keep it ALL on my Mac Pro and use ChronoSync to sync /some/ of it to my MBP.
so if i look in the Documents folder on my Mac Pro i have a ton of folders that i have created with a ton of data. if i look in the Documents folder on my MBP there are NO folders that have data in them that i created. there are other folders such as folders that various software created but what i mean to point out is that there was a LOT of available space on my HD until recently.
i am wondering if there is some way that running the Mail re-index (it then ran some kind of "Importing" routine) or by syncing my Photostream to the MBP caused a huge jump in data on this drive. if it is the photostream sync i can just take this off or see if it will sync more selectively. if it is something to do with mac mail jumping in size i am not sure why this would happen or what to do about it.
does that question make sense?
i mean, before i did these two operations my recollection is that i would have had 130 GB on the hard drive (really just guessing here) and now there is like 218 GB on the hard drive and i don't know where all this came from...

as i know, when we do crawl, it is based on the crawl scope, and it should crawl all the web applications.

perhaps you can check for the managed property rules, and make sure the managed property is listed, and try to change to searchable.

Vendor Search not returning any values in SRM

Hi Gurus
Has any one come accross the following issue? Kindly advice.
SRM 3.0
Search Vendor (F4) not returning any value although Vendor exist in SRM (system allows to raise Cart if Requestioner keys in the Vendor Number manually, ie. Vendor has very much got replicated in SRM)
Steps to replicate the issue
1) Log on to SRM portal
2) Expand the Go Shopping and click on Shop (Extended Form)
3) Click on Create Limit Item
4) Fill in the Description, Select the Product Category, Enter the Value Limit & Expected Value & fill in the required date
5) To search for Supplier, click on the find button
6) In the Find Vendor screen press the start button without entering any restriction
7) System throws a message "No Vendor found"

Thanks for replying Muthu.
Entries do exists in VENMAP.
No filters are set while searching for Vendor.
In fact, If I find the Vendor code from ERP and key in the vendor number in the Supplier field in SRM, it rightly picks up the vendor from the Vendor code.
The only issue is....while I try to search for Supplier using the Supplier search functionality (by clicking on the binocular), the search functionality does not return any values (I put no restriction).
By the way, Is there any missing Attribute in PPOMA_BBP that may be causing this?

Bulk delete does not return stock to products!

Just as the title says, deleting products one by one works but bulk-deleting will NOT return the stock to the products.

Sorry, i wrote wrong, i meant on Orders!
So:
If you select several orders in the order list view in the Admin and then press bulk action, then delete.
The orders are then deleted, but the product stock is NOT returned to the respective products.
