Deleting existing maintenance items in maintenance optimizer
Hi all,
is it possible, to delete existing maintenance items in maintenance optimizer?
Kind regards
Andreas
It is possible to delete the maintenance optimizer transaction using the steps below:
SE38
-> Run report "CRM_ORDER_DELETE"
-> Enter the maintenance transaction number(ID) of the transaction in "Business Transaction Number" and "SLMO" for "Business Transaction Type"
-> Execute
If the client role is set to 'Production', you would need to temporarily set it to 'Customizing' in order to delete the MOPZ transaction via the report above.
In general, it is possible to follow the note 1329247 and use the archiving object CRM_SERORD with transaction type SLMO to
archive maintenance optimizer transactions. Please note that only maintenance optimizer transactions with status "Completed" or "Withdrawn" can be archived. The transactions can be displayed using transaction code "/tmwflow/maintenance".
It is possible to archive EWA services via the report RDARCH_ARCHIVE_DATA_SOLMAN as described in note 546685.

Maintenance Optimizer says "Status profile doesn't exist"
Hi all,
I'd like to use the Maintenance Optimizer to install some support packages.
When I start it, I get the error message "Status profile SLMO0001 does not exist. Please check. Create the status profile or use a valid status profile."
How exactly do I create this profile? Or what profile am I supposed to use and how do I make the MO use that one?
I tried running the transaction SM_PREP_MAINTENANCE_OPTIMIZER, which did not help.
Thanks for your help.
Paul
PS: I also get the warning "Customization not available in logon language EN, use language EN.Hi,
I just got an error, I think you might have the same.
This SAP note will help on the problems.
Note 1030498 - Maintenance Optimizer - IBase is not active
Actually, 1030498 solved everything. It is in this note 1024932 - Maintenance Optimizer: Collective Note.

Line item deletion in Maintenance order
Hi Guru's
Please let me know how to find the deleted line item in the component tab of maintenance order before saving.
for eg. The user creates the following line item in the component tab of the maintenance order.
Before saving he deletes the line item 20.
Item component qty
10 100001 10
20 100003 20
Please let me know where exactly the deleted status is stored, before saving for the line item
Regards
VidhyadharanHi Pete
We are trying to prevent the user from creating product line items in Maintenance order with respect to equipment BOM. Let me explain you the scenario
Equipment 1000201 - contains the following components as BOM
1002775 - qty 2
1003326 - qty 1
When the user creates the order , he tries to withdraw more qty than the qty specified iin BOM. We have controlled it using enhancement IWO10009. Initially we didn't anticipate that the control can be skipped by duplicating the material (i.e material line) eg line no 10 :1002775 - qty 2 and line no 20: 1002775 - qty 2 and the transaction is saved. In order to control, we have modified the program accordingly and never allow the user to save, if there is a duplication of material.
The problem started when the user tries to save the line item after deleting the duplicate material
The check we used doesn't not allow the user to save inspite of the line item been deleted. The msg introduced keep repeating .
We tried debugging the program, we wouldn't find any deletion indicator in the structure CAUFVD_IMP or resb to overcome this bug.
Can you pls let us know where exactly the deletion indicator or status is stored for the line item in the component tab before saving

No System Found in Maintenance Optimizer
Hi,
I have installed solution manager (ST 400 SP09) and did apply the relevant notes to setup the Maintenance Optimizer.
I could able to see the Maintenance Optimizer button in Support Package and Stack Inbox.
(Transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER> select the Solution->operation ->Change Management ->Support package Stack)
But I found following message No Systems Found along with the following message
Change requests cannot be displayed or created, because the RFC connection has errors, or is not maintained.
Check whether the RFC connection to the Change Man agement system is under the key CHARM_DEST (APPLI field in the DESTINAT field), in the view BCOS_CUST. You need authorization for the cross-client view/table maintenance (S_TABU_DIS and S_TABU_CLI).
Check the RFC connection in the transaction SM59. If your SAP Solution Manager system is also your Change Manager system, the internal connection must be 'NONE'. You need authorization for the administration of RFC connections (S_RFC_ADM).
How do I proceed further? I wanted to see the Systems defined under SMSY transaction to be displayed here.
Can any body help me by providing the exact steps define the systems in Maintenance Optimizer and how to sync the components defined under SMSY with MOZ?
Regards

Solman setup maintenance optimizer
Hi all,
I'm trying to setup my Solman Maintenance Optimizer to download SP.
When I read the configuration guide. It says the prerequisite is as below :-
The Maintenance Optimizer contains a lot of scenarios for maintenence procedures. The scenarios have different prerequisites.
Basic Prerequisites
1.
You have configured the Maintenance Optimizer in the SAP Solution Manager customizing.
You must perform the following customizing activities for the Maintenance Optimizer:
Assign S users for the SAP Support Portal.
This activity specifies the S users (user ID for the SAP Service Marketplace) assigned to user IDs for the SAP Solution Manager.
For more information see S Users in the Maintenance Optimizer.
Enter user for communication with SAP Service and Support systems
2. This activity specifies the RFC connection SAP-OSS and the corresponding RFC user.
3. You have assigned product versions to the system to be maintained, in the system landscape.
You have assigned the systems to be maintained to a logical component.
Note Note
If you want to use a solution, you must assign the systems to be maintained, to the solution landscape. For more information, see Solution Manager System Landscape.
End of the note.
4.
You have installed the Download Manager locally in your workplace. The Download Manager is in the SAP Software Distribution Center in the SAP Support Portal.
Note Note
The item no2.
This activity specifies the RFC connection SAP-OSS and the corresponding RFC user. <---- Is this mean I must have install and setup my Saprouter so that the SAP OSS connection is working before I can completed the SAP Solman Maintenance Optimizer setup?
Thanks.
Ck chaiHi,
Just clarify my question.
I would like to run tcode "Solman_setup" to activate my Maintenance Optimizer for my new install SOLMAN & ECC6 System.
The reason is I need to download service pack for my ECC6 system.
Now I have some confusion on the "Solman_Setup" prerequisites
Prerequisites
You have installed the SAP Solution Manager and satisfied the following configuration prerequisites:
1) The license key is installed. -
>OK
2) The profile parameter /ICM_HOST_NAME_FULL or SAPLOCALHOSTFULL is set----
>OK
3) The Transport Management System (TMS) is configured. -
> Not sure, Is this mean I have to setup my TMS in all the ECC6 system? Example --> DEV, QAS and PROD.
4) The connection to the SAP backend system exists and works. -
> What is this mean? I need to Setup RFC connection manually using SM59? RFC connection from Solman to my ECC6-DEV,QAS, PRD?
5) The SAP Solution Manager Java instance is up-to-date. --> not too sure. Can someone explain how this can be checked?
Thank you very much.

Local logical system is not defined-Maintenance Optimizer Config
Hi,
When I try to configure Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager 7, it gives me an error saying "Local logical system is not defined"
But I have created a Logical client using SCC4.
And the other thing is for this created client, does not have any users on this client, If I run,
SQL> select bname, UFKLAG from sapsr3.usr02 where mandt='400';
Answer is "no rows selected"
So I cannot even login in to my new client as well. I tried with SAP/PASS no use. I tried to re-set sap by deleteing it nothing helped.
my login/no_automatic_user_sapstar parameter also have 0 (But this is in Red, I dont know why its like that)
Please help me to rectify both these issues. Issue with Maintenance Optimizer and loggin in to the new client.
Thank you!First of all, 'Logical System' and 'Logical Client' are two different things.
For Client Problem:
You did create a client in SCC4.
1. did you create a logical system via BD54 and then did you assign that logical system to this newly created client ?
2. did you perform a local client copy to put data into this new client from an old or from a standard client like 000 ?
If you didn't perform above two things, then please do. Only then, you will be able to see some data in this client and will be able to to select statements, And, obviously the SAP*/PASS login (login/no_automatic_user_sapstar should be 0 after reactivation of profile and restart of the instance)
For MOpz issue:
Could you please search in sap marketplace for any particular note specific to MOpz ? -
Dear all,
When starting "Create New Maintenance Transaction" in Maintenance Optimizer, an information message prompted:"Status profile SLMO0001 does not exist. Please checl." and the following messages are shown after:
Warning Customizing not available in logon language EN, use language EN
Error Status profile SLMO0001 does not exist. Please check
Error Status profile SLMO0001 does not exist. Please check
Warning Status values of procedure type SLMO not read
I tried to implement note#1090202, all succeeded except step 2(a). When adding in SOCM_ACTION_003 I have an error message:
Entry SLMO0001 does not exist in TJ20 (check entry)
Solution Manager Package Level:
ST 400 0013 SAPKITL423 SAP Solution Manager Tool Component Supp. Pkg.
Would anyone can help?
Many thanks!
DanielHi,
i had the same problem and i solved it with note 1090202 this problem is caused because of a missing customizing setting.
I dont know how the creater of this thread could be so egoistically and mark this thread as answerded without posting the solution. I think this is a insolence.
( He mentioned the same not as i do, but he didn´t wrote that this was the final solution)
I hope i can help somebody with posting my solution!

Problem with activating Maintenance Optimizer
I have reached the final stage of the configuration of the maintenance
optimizer. I have implemented all of the required notes in the MOPZ
collective note 1024932 (Notes 1008717 - HMTLViewer: Postdata of
length more than 255 gets truncated, (note 950975 is n/a for my system
we have SAPGUI 7.1), Note 975510 - Corrections for calls/interfaces
implmented incorrectly, and 1004691 - SNOTE:
OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED when you implement a note, and the strongly
recommended note 997780 - Maintenance Optimizer: Checks that should
not be executed.
When I try to run the report SM_PREP_MAINTENANCE_OPTIMIZER after
implementing note 990534, I get the following error:
For object SOLAR, no sub-object SOLMAN_CONFIG is maintained
Message no. BL011
Diagnosis
An application log entry is to be made for sub-object SOLMAN_CONFIG of
the object SOLAR. This sub-object is, however, not maintained for
object SOLAR.
Objects and subobjects of the application log are created using
transaction SLG0.
System Response
The program had to be cancelled.
Procedure
Inform the system administrator
I have verified all of the steps in the document "Step by Step
Configuration of the Maintenance Optimizer". I have also done the
basic IMG settings under Solution Manager in the IMG. I did not
do "Activate integration with the Change Request Management". We are
not using Change Request Management.
Has anyone seen this type of message before? I could do the BC Sets manually but I want to use the report. Thanks Lars. I opened a ticket with SAP and it looks like you can ignore this:
Hello,
You can ignore the message. It is displayed because when the report
runs we try to write the log to the sub-object SOLMAN_CONFIG, which does not exists with Support Package 9, due to it you get the message.
Regarding the 02 options to configure the Maintenance Optimizer it
just occurs becasue the report was not available with Support Package
9 of SAP Solution Manager, however due to the increasing number of
customers that required an easier configuration for the Maintenance
Optimizer we decided to make the report available through the note.
So there is not difference between the 02 configuration options.
The report does exactly the steps described in the alternative
configuration.
I'll give you full points!! -
Maintenance Optimizer - ConfigTool.sh - SAP NetWeaver 7.0
Hi Everybody,
First I wanted to set up my MOPZ to do this I have to create a RFC "SAPSLDAPI"
Until there no problem but the next step become a little more problematic.
I have to run the admin tool /usr/sap/SOL/..../j2ee/admin/go.
Unfortunatly I lost the password's J2EE_ADMIN, no problem google is your best friend and then I tried to run the config tool. Oh big surprise
The java class not found: com.sap.offline.OfflineToolStart
What can i do to fix this problem?

Edited by: Hafid CHEBRAOUI on Jan 14, 2009 4:22 PMIt sounds like you have two different issues here.
MOPZ
And Java Stack not starting.
Maintenance optimizer requires that your connection to SAP is in tact first through the saprouter. Do you have all of that in place and is your rfc connections for SAP_OSS and SAPNET_RFC working.
SAPSLDAPI is a connection for the SLD not for the maintenance optimizer.
The link you put below doesn't have anything to do with configuring maintenance optimizer. The ossnote you posted is a collective note for maintenance optimizer and points you to spro to follow the instructions.
Review https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/solman-mopz
Review ossnotes 990534 and 1024932
try running SE38 SM_PREP_MAINTENANCE_OPTIMIZER That may give you some assistance.
Anyone that is going to download using the maintenance optimizer needs to exist in transaction AISUSER
As for the Java stack.
It sounds like your path is not right. Did you update your path environment variables with the installation directory of java? Check that java -version is working from the <sid>adm login.

Maintenance optimizer transaction dont see product version for a solution
Hi,
I am having a very difficult time in understanding the concept of solution manager product system, instance, solution. Now, in Technical Administration >> Solutions >> I click on a solution, in the solution the product column is missing. Then it appears after some configuration.
Now, when I create a maintenance optimizer transaction, I select the solution but I don't see the see product version, nothing appears.
Please guideHi Shashank,
If I am getting you correctly then you are not getting product version in drop down in a new MOPZ transaction ?
Use below steps:
Run Transaction Solman_Workcenter.
Select the Solution Manager Administration tab.
Click Solutions.
Either.
Create a new Solution to add the logical component, or add it to an existing solution.
If a new solution...
Click on New.
Give the solution a name.
Set the Solution Data settings.
Now the Solution exists.
Select an existing solution that you want the System to be placed (can be the new one).
Add the Logical Component to the Solution.
If the system is other than Type Production then...
Go to change edit mode.
Right click on the SID, and select “Put in Solution” the cell the SID is in will turn green.
Save.

Configuration of Maintenance Optimizer and IMG-configuration
Hi!
I am installing SAP Solution Manager 4.0 and two ERP-systems and would like to ask, whether a suitable detailed documentation about
Configuring Maintenance optimizer
IMG-Configuration
does exist?
P.S. Besides the document "Step by step Confugaration of Maintenance Optimizer" or .sim-File.
Thank you very much indead!
regardsDear Axel,
Kindly review the URL :
http://service.sap.com/solman-mopz
On the first page at the bottom end you would find an PDF for configuration of Maintenance Optimizer and also an SAP Tutor file for the same.
Follow the steps and you are ready with the optimizer for downloading packages.
Hope the above information helps.
