Deleting key Figures

Hi,
I had created a few Key Figures in our planning area. which are all active. Due to some issues while creating scenario, PA is not getting active. So, I now want to roll back the changes that I made. Is there any way to delete these activated KFs that I created?
After selecting the target KF I selected Delete, but it is showing the status as "pending for deletion".

Adding new key figures to DP planning area

I am using APO DP.
When adding new key figures to a planning area, is there any way of avoiding having to deinitialise and then re initialise the planning area?

First of, let us know which version of DP are you using.
If you are using 7.0, all you need to do is right click on your planning area and select Change Keyfigure setting and you should be able to update the key figures there.
The below is from SAP help for SAP APO 7.0, you should be able to add the key figure without deinitializing the planning area.
Key Figure Settings
Here you can change the properties of the key figures of a planning area, if the planning area has already been initialized. You can also add or delete key figures. However, you can only delete key figures that are no longer used in planning books, data views, macros, or demand forecasts. You can find out in which objects a specific key figure is used with the where-used list.

SNP PR Deletion based on another key figure

Folks,
I want to delete Purchase requisition ( Distribution receipt - Planned) in APO-SNP based on the value of another key figure.
for example if the another key figure value is 1 in a particular time bucket, then i want the PR of that bucket to be deleted.
I have designed macros incorporting this logic i.e if another key figure value is 1, then make the Purchase requisition quantity as 0.
But when i execute this macro, system gives the message " Error saving Transport requisitions to live cache" and PR quantity does not become 0.
I have also tried using RLCDEL but it is not possible to selectively delete the PR using the value of another key figure.
Is there any method ( Macro or non-macro) through which i can achieve this ? Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Hi Pawan,
I assumed the macro solution should work...
A macro can create orders, so logically it should be able to delete. Unfortunately I can't test it now.
Could you please do the following?
if you delete an order manually in interactive, and refresh, what happens?
does your order come back?
If yes then the issue is not directly linked to the macro...
Then could you check in SPRO - SNP global settings, do you 'Heur: Order Update' being set to 'Delta Mode'?
If yes, then set it a "complete mode"

How to Selectively Delete ONE Key Figure from Cube....

Hi:
On a Daily basis (Via Process Chain), I need to do the following:
1. DELETE Single Key Figure from my planning cube. When the "PYMNT DATE" is greater than System Date, then delete the
key Figure.
2. Once Deleted, LOAD the same Single Key Figure from another cube when the PYMNT DATE is GT System Date.
How can I do this in a Program. What would be the code for this? Need help with ABAP.

How to delete a restricted key figure in a multiprovider

Hi all
I used transaction RSZC (for the first time) to copy over restricted key figures from and info provider to a multi provider.
This worked but somehow it copied over each restricted key figure twice.
I have right clicked on the ones I don't want and clicked on delete but it doesn't delete them.
any ideas ?

It was my fault, I had them in structures that I'd copied over so that's why it wouldn't let me delete them.

Deleting Restricted Key Figures

I've tried to delete a restricted key figure but after confirming that I do want to delete it, it still appears in the Restricted Key Figures list!
Is there something I'm not doing?

If you have got confirmation message that the KF has beed deleted and it is still showing in query designer, then Logoff from Bex and relogin and see.
If you have not got any such message then check whether this RKF is used in some other queries and remove it from these queries and then delete it.

Floating point key figure does not clear completely with delete function

When executing a planning layout and/or a planning function, a floating
point key figure with a residual amount attempts to be deleted but does
not truly delete. The residual value remains.
We wrote an OSS note and below is the response and this was few months before.

database aggregation. So one has to live with these effects or you can
use other data types as packed numbers instead (type amount with data
type curr, here addition and deletion is always exact with the technicaltechnical decimals).</b>
Since we have already configured and the data is stored in database, not sure if there is a way to convert to Packed numbers as well.

yes, I had the same experience once.
We did not find any better solution than use a "normal" key figure instead of the floating point.

Open sales orders key figure in APO

HI Gurus,
Can anyone please throw some light as to where i need to be looking in this scenario. Our BW resource extracts open sales order quantity from ECC and loads into APO DP. The issue that i'm seeing is the open sales order quantity key figure is not getting updated properly in APO. For example to begin with we have a quantity of 800 EA in the period of 12/2014 (we go by fiscal period and in this case 12 would represent September 2014), 01/2015(October 2014), 02/2015(November 2014). The customer service group has deleted the quantity completely from period 12/2014 (September 2014) in ECC. But when i look in the planning book in APO, i can still see the quantities in the periods of 12/2014, 01/2015 and 02/2015. I was expecting the quantity from the period of 12/2014 to not showup in APO as it has been deleted in ECC. Our BW resource also confirms that he has loaded it properly in APO. Where can i start looking to resolve this issue.

Okay i have checked in the tcode /SAPAPO/TSCUBE and this is setup in the process chain for us which runs once a month on the opening day of the period. I hope this is what you were referring to?
Under the key figure assignment in TSCUBE tcode, i see that the 'Add data" check box is not checked under Target area.

Key Figures getting added

We arein a process of migrating 3.x Transfer rules and update rules to NW2004s. We are following the standard procedure of migrating the objects such that transfer rules are migrated to a transformations and so do update rules.
In on of the objects while running the loads after migrations the key figures are getting doubled. We were able to debug the standard code and figure out where addition is happening. Strange things is this is a standard SAP code generated in all the migrated objectsbut in this particular case it has generated some extra code which is adding up the key figures. I am pasting code below for your reference and will appreciate if someone can help us to resolve this.
As mentioned above the below Read statement is standard in all the TRCS transformations which are migrated from update rules. This read statement fails with sy-subrc = 4 because <_yth_TG_1>. is empty at this stage but during execution it executes the statement INSERT <_ys_TG_1> INTO TABLE <_yth_TG_1> which populates <_yth_TG_1> and in turn makes the next read statement successful which is extra in this case. There is one more Read statement which is extra in this particular case and is adding up the key figures.

Please let me know if anybody has created aggregates on Non-Cumulative Cubes or key figure (i.e. 0IC_C03 Inventory Management.)
I am facing the problem of performance related at the time of execution of query in 0IC_C03.( runtime dump )
I have tried lot on to create aggregate by using proposal from query and other options. But its not working or using that aggr by query.
Can somebody tell me about any sample aggr. which they are using on 0ic_c03.
Or any tool to get better performance to execute query of the said cube.
One more clarification req that what is Move the Marker pointer for stock calculation. I have compressed only two inital data loading req. should I compress the all req in cube (Regularly)
If so there would be any option to get req compress automatically after successfully load in data target.
We are using all three data sources 2lis_03_bx,bf & um for the same.

Hi,
Definately the compression has lot of effect on the quey execution time for Inventory cubes <b>than</b> other cumulated cubes.
So Do compression reqularly, once you feel that the deletion of request is not needed any more.
And ,If the query do not has calday characterstic and need only month characterstic ,use Snap shot Info cube(which is mentioned and procedure is given in How to paper) and divert the month wise(and higher granularity on time characterstic ,like quarter & year) queries to this cube.
And, the percentage of improvement in qury execution time in case of aggregates is less for non cumulated cubes when compared to other normal(cumulated) cubes. But still there is improvement in using aggregates.

Key Figure missing in update rules

Hi All,
A Key figure is missing in Update rule of ODS & Infocube.
But it is listed in infosource ( comm. & transfer structure) of ODS.
Why it is so . Any suggestions.
infosource->ODS_>infocube.

Hi,
I will give the process that I followed (as you specified) now:
1. I deleted the Source System Assignment for the Infosource.
2. Next went to Source Systems. Right click on source system and replicate it.
3. Select the InfoSoucre and assign the Data Source.
4. Here I automatically got the Field(ZZMBGBTR).
5. I added the field in the Communication Structure. and then assigned the Transfer Rules. Next activated the InfoSource.NExt checked the InfoCube for the KeyFigure. That InfoObject ZQTY is available.
6. I activated the InfoCube. Right Click and select Create Update Rules. Still I didnt got that InfoObject.

Changing key figure values in DSO/Cube

Experts,
I have a DSO and a Cube and the data has been already loaded in to a amount Key Figure. By default it is 2 decimal places. I want to change the decimals to 7. I cannot delete data from the cube or the DSO.
Can you please suggest some ideas to do this.
I came accross this note 579342 which talks about realigning this but as I have not implemented this before, I wanted to get your thoughts on if this is safe to do.

I did this with using system message board and I put message on EP tooo.
So you do a small R&D. Run this report and let me know too if amount data is reflecting in the cube or not.
Logically it should not but have a try?

Key figure correction in loaded data

Experts,
We had a bug in our datamart where in a particular key figure value was doubled throughout.
It has been identified and addresses but before the new transports go in, how do we correct this so that the reporting is correct.
Selective deletion will remove that entire record and then we ll have to wait for the fix to come in before we can load again.
Is there any other way we can take care of this issue?
