Delivery for a Service Material

Hi All,
I am getting a message "No schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date" when trying to create a delivery for a service item.
Pl note that I am using standard order type OR and not a service order.
Item categoriy = TAX , Sch Line Cat = CX.
Material Type : DIEN
Kindly Advice as I have looked a lot but am not able to find the reason for this.
Thanks!!

Hi,
Generally for service item we donu2019t create any delivery document.
As per of your error just go to VA02 and open your sales order.
Now select the line item and go to scheduling tab.
Over there see what is the delivering date given by the system.
Now go to VL01N, on that screen give the shipping point and then delivering date which we seen in order just above and the sales order number.
Now just try to create the delivery this error wont pop up now.
Regards
Raj.

  • Combine billing of service material and std. material

    Hi all,
i have a query regarding my client requirement is they are creating a bill manually with two different kind of mat. with two type of taxes i.e. Service tax and vat. example this invoice has 5 line items 1-3 are the chemicals which are deliverable and 4-5 are service items are not relevant for deliver. from 1-3 they will charge Vat% and 4-5 at service tax we have two doc. type one is for chemicals and other one is for services, can i design a new document type to do both in one, not able to understand please help...

For these kind of business process,
Maintain to 2 diff Item cat for Deliverable(TAN) and service items(TAS) based on there deliverable and service characteristics/functionality.
I Cat determination for same sales doc type, maintain 2 different I Cat Group in material master for Deliverable and service items. Accordingly, your Deliverable and service items will determine there respective I Cat in sales doc.
Now, formulate wisely include both VAT and Service tax condition type accordingly into your pricing procedure.
So, when your maintaining Deliverable material, in Sales:Sales org1 tab, in Tax data section, accordingly maintain TAX Classification for VAT Condition Type as Taxable and service tax condition type TAX Classification as NO TAX (or as according to your tax classification tax condition types). And accordingly, maintain tax classification for your service material.
Thereafter, maintain condition record for VAT & service tax as per requirement.
    Hope it solves your query.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • BOM explosion in MRP for non-stock material

    Dear friends,
I have a non-stock(bom item category 'N')  service material setup as a component in my production BOM, which during MRP run, should create a Planned order or Purchase requisition for that non-stock component. But, when I run MRP for the top-level material, it doesn't create any requirement for that service material, while all other stock material(Bom item category L), it generated dependant requirements.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    Suri

    Dear Suri,,
    Please go through this.
<b><u>Non-Stock Items</u></b>  Use this item category if you want to enter a
material that is not kept in stock before use, and that is only procured for a
specific planned order or production order.
The material is only rarely required for a custom-made product and is used
directly in the product as a purchased part.
    <u><b>Before you start</b></u>
You can enter a non-stock item either with or without a material master. If you
enter a non-stock item without a material master, you must enter a description.
For non-stock items, you have to maintain purchasing data in the bill of material.
You enter the following materials as non-stock items because the quantities are
not updated in the material master record:
o     Materials with a material type that supports configuration
o     Pipeline materials, which can be taken from a pipeline at any time
    <u><b>
    Special functions</b></u>
The following functions are supported for non-stock items
    •     You maintain purchasing data for non-stock items in the bill of material.
    •     In the planning run, the system generates purchase requisitions
instead of dependent requirements for components that are procured directly.
When you configure your R/3 System for MRP, you can define whether direct
procurement is triggered by the planning run or by production order management.
    •     Product costing processes take valuation data from the BOM item.
The system determines the release strategy on the basis of the price data you
enter. The material group is required to produce a purchase requisition.

  • Service material availability check

    Hi Gurus,
Do we have to do availabilty check for a service material. I am linking my material with an equipment.
    Thank you
    ANil

    Hi anil
As by standard availability check is not activated for service materials.
As it is a service material inventory wont be maintained at plant level , that is the reason availability check doesn't take place.
But when you receive a order then stock will be procured if any externally it has to be  done or else internal procurement will take place and a billing date  will be given to the customer

  • Creation of material  for  both service and delivery

    Hai all,
we want to create a material for which both delivery and service is to be possible simultaneously.
Is it possible  if yes let me know the material type for this.
    Thanks in advance,
    S.Jenibalet.

    Hi,
You can create a new material type if you want to or use any of the exxisting material types that have qty and value updating set on.
This is because you simply have to use an account assignment category on the PO etc. to post the costs to a GL upon receipt. leave this at space (for the same material) and you will; bring it into stock and update the stock account.
So the main thing is the account assignment category and NOT the material type.

  • Replenishment delivery for material with MRP areas and Avl Check

HI We have MRP area at storage location level maintained for materials. Stock exists in the plant in the storage location which is part of the MRP area.
Now when I create STO and try to create delivery for the same, system is giving message 0 stock available and not creating delivery. Material has 02 Avl Chck group. If I deactivate the MRP area in the material master, it allows creation of delivery.
How can I ensure that system creates delivery even though stocks exist in MRP area relevant sloc only in the plant?
    Sriram

    1) According to SAP when inbound deliveries are used and your delivery item category is set up for mvt type 101, these should be received with transaction VL32N. If you use MIGO/MB0A instead the GR status in the delivery will not be updated. If you then report on open deliveries you'll notice that nothing is received in the course of time. Amazing. Now if you set up the delivery item category without the movement type your inbound will not even be GR relevant. Just one of these things that's nice to be aware of.
    Check note 199703.

  • When posting GI for Non valuated material in Delivery geting error (M8147)

    Hi Experts
We have a problem that we are trying to send a material from one plant in one company code to another plant in another company code (Inter Company Stock Transfer Order). The material is of type Non Valuated (So it has no valuation class). The PO Order type used and the PO account assignment category is of type saying GR Non Valuated.
Problem is in the outbound delivery (movement type 645 determined) when posting GI do we get a account determination error (M8147 = Account determination for entry 1000 GBB Z001 not possible), saying that no account could be determined.
Our understanding is that the GI for the delivery demands a Valuation, which we can not do as the material is NON Valuated.
How to set the GI non valuated for the outbound delivery, so we can avoid this error? please help

I cant believe that the same error message is coming up after the maintenance.
you either maintained an entry at a wrong level within GBB or the message must have changed.
Make sure that you take any information of this message into account (even the spaces)
the message is certainly not like you posted here: Account determination for entry 1000 GBB Z001 not possible

  • Single task for 2 delivery Items having same material

    Dear All
Requirement related to  free goods functionality
For instance if a customer orders Material A - 10 Ea ( Line Item# 10)  he gets 1 Ea has free item ( Line item# 20) which is populated as additional line item in the SO .
This additional line is passed to delivery and eventually results in 2 EWM tasks for physically same Material A -11 Ea to be picked from assuming same bin.
ECC-WM functionality supports creation of  single TO for multiple delivery lines having the same material.
Is there any way to achieve the same in EWM.
    regards
    Saravana

    Hi,
"ECC-WM functionality supports creation of  single TO for multiple delivery lines having the same material."
I would really be surprised if this is any standard functionality? So I also don't expect this in EWM...
    brgds
    Juergen
To detail what I mean and because you specified this in another mail: a single TO is possible, but not a single TO item. And the same is for EWM. You might get a single WO, but not a single WT.

  • How to do the Partial delivery for configurable material ?

    Hi All,
I am creating a sales order  for a configurable material and is trying to do the partial delivery for the same. But, after the outbound delivery the status of the sales order is shown as completed although I have done the partial delivery.
Here are the steps I followed.
    1. material I used here is a configurable material.
        Main settings.
      a. In Basic Data tab, marked as configurable
      b. Procurement type='E' in MRP 2 tab
      c. Strategy group as 82 in MRP 3 view.
    2. I created a sales order for quantity 10
    3. Created a production order followed by goods Movement thereby increasing the stock.
    4. Did the outbound delivery for  quantity 5.
Now if I checked for the status of the sales order using VA02, the status for the line item as well as for the sales order was "Completed" although I had done partial delivery.
I have checked for setting in Customer master record, item category in VOV7. Everything seems to be fine.
I checked for all the information in the FORUM without any help.
    Can you please help me?
    Kind Regards,

    Hi,
For Info, I am creating a sales order for Item category TAC.
    1. In my case, after completing the partial delivery, in the document flow for Order, the status is shown as completed.
    2. In status overview for this item, delivery status indicator is set as  'Fully delivered'.
I did check in the customer master record and the field
Partial delivery per item  is set to Blank(  Partial delivery allowed)
    3. I did run the report RIBELF20  and I am getting this error for all the sales order I created for partial delivery for configurable material.

How this is possible. You are creating PO in ME21n, right? It should be there. Look closely.
