Designjet 510 plotter install

I am installing an hp designjet 510 (ch337a) plotter on a Win 2008r2 virtual print server. Then adding the shared printer to windows xp and 7 clients (32 bit clients for the most part) ( 1 or 2 win7 64 bit clients)
I have tried about every driver combination available.
But each time when I attempt to modify the printer properties on the client side. The a couple of the tabs appear to be in symbols not text, or they appear in chinse/japanese.
The tab most affected appears to be the paer sizes and the about tab.
Any ideas or suggestion to get this to install correctly would be great help.

Designjet 510 with lpt1 print server

Hi, I just bought Designjet 510 42-in to replace my old plotter. I cannot install IP at the plotter for using with LPT1 print server. I dont want to buy new network card for the plotter since I already have LPT1 print server for my old HP750C. Now my network cannot detect the plotter because I cannot install IP address. The computer can detect the print server but not the IP address. Pls anybody help me. Thanks

Can I use foil as a media on Designjet 750c plotter?

I have a used HP Designjet 750c plotter. I need to print on foils (translucent, opaque, semi-glossy, glossy etc). Is this plotters support foils? Please reply as soon as possible it is urgent?

Designjet 600 Plotter connected to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Will it work? HP sales says won't work.

I have an old Designjet 600 Plotter (model C2848A). I have connected it to several new PCs over the years with great success (using different OS, Win 95, 98, etc.. It still works great using windows XP. Now I have three new stations using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. HP sales tells me this plotter will no longer work with Windows 7 (and want to sell me a new plotter). I find that hard to believe. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was going to try buying a 36 pin parrallel to USB connector and just plug it into my new PCs. But HP said it won't work so I have not tried. I assume I would need a driver for that to work correctly. Any suggestions???

For 64 bit systems you can download the XP x64 drivers from here, then unzip the files into a new folder. Next go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a Printer, select the proper port, then select "Have a Disk" and point to the folder where you unzipped the files.
USB to Parallel converters can be problematic. If you get one make sure it is supported on Windows 7 x64. The models in the posts here have been indicated to work with W7 x64.
I do not know if the Designjet 600 has a slot for an optional jetdirect card, if so this may be a better option. I picked up a suitable jetdirect card for my Designjet 650c on eBay for under $15 (shipping included) and have it running on the network here.

Mountain lion -hp designjet 5500 plotter

Will mountain lion print to an hp designjet 5500 plotter that currently prints from Snow Leopard?
This is a 42" plotter, not the PS version but the software in Snow Leopard will treat this as a large printer & I can print from both CAD programs and others such as adobe reader.
It appears Hp does not have a specific driver and has not since MAC OS 10.5

Designjet 430 Drivers install

I recently installed a Officejet Pro 8000 and, being in a hurry to get back up and running, downloaded all the included software in the package. After installation I wanted to get rid of some of the huge files included and did an "Add/Remove" again in a hurry, and so far the 8000 works fine. But, I also have a Designjet 430 (Large format) plotter and now it seems to have some problems. I get a Cart & Data steady light error message on startup and Data steady light error after a print. The print works pretty well but some random text is missing and it may print different the next time. I can't find my original disk so, I downloaded the Driver/Software file from the HP site, unzipped the file into a temp folder (16 files with an _ at the end of each suffix) and no further instructions follow. I've deleted and reinstalled the printer directing the "Wizard" to that temp folder and it says it's installed and ready to use. Same results each time. As a work around I've been creating PDF's and they print fine, but the 430 has always worked fine with my CAD software.
What's the deal???

Reader X won't print to HP Designjet 1055 plotter

I've seen similar issues in the forums, but I want to put in my problem so hopefully Adobe recognizes this as a valid issue affecting many people.
We have a large format HP Designjet 1055 color plotter which we could print to with Reader 9. However, no one here can print to it with Reader X. After openning a pdf file, clicking Print, selecting the printer, then clicking OK; the print dialog box goes away, but nothing happens. Nothing is spooled to the print server. I tried printing directly to the printer (bypassing the print server), but that did not work either. The same pc's can print to all other printers.
We can print pdf's to the 1055 if we use a copy of Acrobat 9 or Nuance Pdf reader.

My customers are seeing the same issue here with plotters. Testing shows at least 2 HP DesignJet 1055c are affected; printing from Acrobat works as expected, but print attempts from Reader X go no where with no feedback. "Print as image" doesn't help, either.

Designjet 5000 plotter, print problems

I am having trouble printing. When I send from my computer the printer shows that it is receiving. I am using MS 2000 pro operating system, My plotter is hp-5000 designjet. I am trying to send and print from my computer. When I send the plotter shows that it is receiving. I can't seem to get it to print what it received. I just got the plotter and I need help. Everything shows up as ok. Thanks

DesignJet T520 plotter - not working since windows update

Our clients new plotter worked flawlessly until a couple of weeks back when the machines were suddenly unable to print one morning.
It turns out that an optional update for the T520 24" on the affected machines has been applied which has basically killed the drivers they have a yellow symbol now.
There is no uninstall option for this update.
I downloaded the original drivers again from HP and reinstalled plotter forcing it to use the downloaded driver but still no go
Presumably a core underlying windows kernel file was changed by the update ?
How can I fix this.

HP Designjet 510 over network - lost files

The 510 works great from the host computer wire to it by USB. Prints anything I throw at it.
When Accessed through Bonjour from another MAC, it prints very simple test files fine, like a "pages" page with some typed print on it. However, when It has to print a more complex file (Big Filemaker Sheet or PDF blueprint) it shows that it is receiving the material, but then it just disappears and never prints. Then Ill try to print that same file from the host mac and it goes right through?

Need to disable USB and Parellel ports on Designjets 510 & 800

Hi,
Ive looked through the menus and through the web browser but I cant find any way to disable these ports. Students are charged to use the printer and I dont want them to be able to plug in their laptops directly.

NEED HELP!!! CAN HP DesignJet T790 Plotter E-PRINTER SERIES FEED PAPER MANUAL?

I have some scratch paper here which are cut already, paper size 24"x36". I just want to use it again but the problem is i want it to feed without the paper roller. Can it feed manually in this printer somewhere back or in a front just like other printer or will i use a paper roller?
