Detect cardinality hangs up Designer

Version XI R2.
When pressing detect on cardinality on one of the joins the designer hangs up and never finishes. There are about 60 K records on 1 side of the join and about 7 K records on the other side. This parses correctly immediately when I do in manually.
I mimicked the process in Toad and it runs in a few seconds.
Here is what it should be doing.

This is an ODBC connection to a SQL Server 2000 database.
This Universe is bringing the Webi services down and I want to find out if the detect problem is symtomatic of a larger problem with this Universe. All other integrity checks are okay on the Universe.

I bought a Mydaq, it is detected on device manager and NI Max. However none of the devices from Elvismx is working, once it launches hangs.

Status Update:
I reinstalled the software suite again, but this time have done I installed it under clean boot.
After doing this the device manager shows the driver as: USB Flash Firmware Updater
I have seen on:

I have also tested the device with a different USB cable as the previous solution implies.

XI System hangs while designing BPM in correlaltion editor

Airport Hanger Wireless Design

I have a client that has a airport hanger 200 ft. by 150 ft with the ceiling being 70 ft high. I'm thinking of using Cisco AP 2600 series access point with directional or panel antenna's. The client will be using VoWLAN all through the hanger, including if they are repairing the tail end of the plane at the top.
Any suggestions/recommendations?

I presume the walls of the hangar are made out of metal corrogated sheet?
You can wall-mount the APs along the three corners of the hangar and floor space (I don't know what kind of sliding door you have so I don't think this will be possible since the middle "slit" for the vertical stablizer.)
Describe the floor? Is there an fix "island" in the middle somewhere?
I am not keen of putting APs in the middle, by dropping the AP from the roof, because of the vertical stabilizers might get in the way.
I presume the a/c are GA stuff and not friggin, B737 or A310/320 stuff, right?

848P Neo LS "Memory Detection Test" hang

On ocassion my pc won't do a soft reboot. It hangs at the MD Test. ( according to the Diagnostic LED's on the back. I've swapped the Dimms slots (only 2 on this board ) and I've ran windows mem test from a floppy. No errors were found w/it.
And sometimes it reboots up normally.
Is this perhaps due to a weak power supply?

OK, i upped the DRAM voltage to 2.70. Only way to do that on my board is to enable performace settings in the bios. So, I then disabled "overclocking" and had to reset ALL my settings.
Ya know, why does MSI offer a board w/SATA and even when you use the Performance settings you still have to go and change the On-Chip ATA operation mode from legacy to native and THEN you STILL have to adjust so the SATA is read 1st, whew. not to mention the other settings. Like enable floppy drive seek and the like.
Anyway, when i did ALL this, and "saved settings" It STILL hung at reboot. System is on, keyboard is active optical drive checks itself out, but no signal to my monitor, and it will stay like that for infinity! LOL
Is my power supply perhaps to small? I have a 400watt:

How do you know if your PSU is going bad anyway, .... Just wait for the fan to start making a noise?

Universe Designer Hangs while saving

Hi Experts,
Universe Designer hangs while saving a universe design.
Earlier it was working correctly and suddenly I am facing this issue. I restarted my system couple of times and there was no luck. The designer application works as expected and only problem is it hangs while saving.
In eventviewer, I have following message

This happening for all universes. I face this issue even when I import a Universe from CMS and save.
Finally this problem got solved by restarting couple of times. My guess is that it could be due to no of concurrent connections exceeding(Using EDGE 3.1 in 5 CAL evaluation). When I brought down to session count to 2, it is working.

Invoking a restart even if programmes hangs using Applescript

My server hangs at times and I would like to be able to send it a command per email (I know how to set up rules) that would trigger a restart or for that matter any other way of restarting it. Any thoughts (how to do this with an Applescript) of doing this without having to put the password of a super user or user in the Applescript? Thanks

If your server has truly hung, then it's not going to fetch email, therefore your rule will never run and you won't restart.
If you're running Mac OS X Server, though, you have a built-in watchdog service that should detect server hangs and automatically reboot the server. Check System Preferences -> Energy Saver -> Options -> Restart automatically if the computer 'freezes'.
Then, of course, there's the option of working out why it's freezing in the first place and fixing the problem at the source.

Autodetect checkboxes in LiveCycle Designer 8.0......

I have made several documents in Frame maker 7.2 with check boxes. After exporting the documents to Acrobat Pro 8.0 I would like to use a form to make the documents "active". When using the auto detect function in LiveCycle Designer it detects my text fields but not my check boxes. Does anyone have a clue how to make this work??

Cardinality- Interface

Hi, what is meant by Cardinality in interfaces design? generally used values are 1:1 or 1:n. please explain the meaning of this code? thank you.

Cardinality is a mathematical property of relationships. When you first design a relationship, cardinality is one of the first definitions you must make. The concept of relationships is used widely in systems designed atop relational databases (such as SAP).
In 1:1, object "A" will have a relationship only with related object "a"
In 1:n, object "A" can have a relationship with 'no object', 'object a1', 'object a2', ... 'object an'
Generally, when one designs a new interface, it is important to consider cardinality relationships between objects of the source system and any related objects of the destination system(s). You normally assume that the internal cardinality of the objects in the existing systems has already been settled. If the internal cardinality of an object from source system differs from the internal cardinality of the related object contained in the destination system, then these two cardinalities must be somehow brought into alignment, or otherwise accommodated in the interface design.
This question does not appear to be relevant to SAP software. This forum is not intended to be a classroom, but for dealing with specific SAP software related issues. I suggest that if your interest in this subject persists, you should consult a textbook about mathematical concepts. If you have a specific question about a particular SAP interface, please post it.

Blank spaces in code view

Hello,
Whenever I copy and paste text from another website -- sometimes from my own website after it goes live -- onto Dreamweaver, the text looks just fine in Design view. Fonts and paragraphs are preserved, as they're supposed to according to my preferences.
However, when I look at the code view, there are always several -- sometimes a whole lot of -- blank spaces separating words; blank spaces that were not in the original text (even in code view) and that can't be detected in Dreamweaver's design view.
It looks ok online just like it looks ok in Dreamweaver's design view, but I'm just a little concerned that those blank spaces may confuse search engine crawlers.
For instance. In design view and online, one sees:
"Great Holiday"
but in the code view/source page you'll see
"Great Holiday"
That's what the crawlers and spiders will see as well. And they may think that "Great Holiday" and "Great Holiday" are two different sets of keywords when they should be the same.
How can I ensure that only *one* blank space is allowed in Dreamweaver's code view, whenever I copy and paste text from webpages? Is there a way that I can preserve the texts' format and fonts while ensuring *one* blank space in code view?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thunderbolt to vga crash

I have a macbook pro (2012 version) with a thunderbolt to vga adapter.
Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't.
When i connect the adapter (with vga cable to monitor in it) the following problmens occur
* Finder hangs
* Blue screen (*** i don't have windows, well it's only blue without text)
* nothing (hangs when i press detect display)
* Hangs on startup screen during booting if connected
Everything continues to work if i disconnect the adapter again (except for the blue screen sometime).
If i first connect the connector and then the vga adapter the same problems occur.
I tried restarting, with connected from the start then it hangs in the bootscreen
Connecting later on when booted
Resetting nvram with connector connected
Resetting nvram without connector connected
I also have a thunderbolt to hdmi connector and that works fine.
Any suggestions?

Seems the adapter that the icentre sold doesn't work with my mac (*** :|), they replaced it with another version (€5 expensiver). This solved the problem.... pretty weird...

OC4J 9.0.4: Problem receiving message from JMS queue

I've created an application which puts XML files in a JMS queue and try to get it out again. The enqueing (sending) is no problem, but when I dequeue from the same queue I receive nothing and if I don't specify a wait time the programs hangs.
If I create a QueueBrowser I can see there are messages in the queue.
Can someone tell me what I do wrong?

Did you implement javax.jms.MessageListener and the method onMessage(Message)?
If you use onMessage() as wel as receive (or receiveNoWait() or receive(long)), the onMessage() can be called, while the main thread is blocking on a synchronous receive, so make sure you use only one of the two methods: onMessage() or receive.
Receive() blocks your thread until a message is published. So your program 'hangs' by design. Usually this is used when your program is waiting for a particular message. Otherwise use onMessage().
ReceiveNoWait() checks if something is in the queue at that very moment, so if nothing is there (yet), the main thread continues.

Internationalization in Adobe Interactive form

 I have designed an Offline Interactive form using Webdynpro Java. I need the form fields(eg. Text Fields)
 both caption and value to be in Marathi.
 I have installed marathi font (mangal.ttf) in
 1. C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
 2. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Designer 7.1\Fonts
 3. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Resource\Font
 4. C:\usr\sap\<instance no>\SYS\global\AdobeDocumentServices\FontManagerService
 But the font is not getting detected in Life Cycle Designer so that i can select the text box and change
 font of both caption and value to mangal font.
 I installed a hindi font (Kiran.ttf) and it is getting detected in Life Cycle Designer.
 I am using Adobe Life Cycle Designer 7.0 and Acrobat Reader version 7.0.
 Experts please help me in solving this problem.

Problem with OCS connection.

Since two days we encounter some problems with OCS for the connection.
Principally by accessing OCS Content Services with the web client and by Oracle Drive.
We've tested using Content Services Web Services it's OK
From the web client :
Clear the private data (cookies ) from Firefox .
Access following URL : http://hera.gva.spg.ch:7777/content/app/explorerPage.jspx
Normally we should be redirected to the SSO Login page - We have a "No response from Application Web Server"
The workaround is : Access directly the SSO Login page, authenticate (to put the cookie in the browser), return to http://hera.gva.spg.ch:7777/content/app/explorerPage.jspx page : it's OK
We could work with files in the Web File Explorer.
