Device Credential report

Hi all,
I am running device credential reports to see if SNMPV2/V3 is ok and some devices are coming back wrong credentials/credentials not verified.
I'm looking at the date and some are from last year Dec 1 2008 and I just applied changes to some devices last night. I also verified on the device that the correct credentials are there.
Please help.

Are you running this report ?
RME > Reports > Report Generator > Device Credential : Verification Report
RME Reports from the Report Generator are always based on information collected by a job and stored in the database. If this job is not configured to run periodically it is truely possible that you have outdated data in the report.
Go to RME > Devices > Device Management > Device Credential Verification Job and setup a job to check the credentials immediately, once or periodically;
At least if you let it run immediately your report should contain actual and correct data.

  • RME Device Credential Verification Report

I have a Device Credential Verification Job which runs each week. It has run fine for the last few months, however, this week the job started but didn't finish and appears to have hung.
The job usually takes around 25mins to run (circa 350 devices) but this week it was still running after 19 hours. Eventually I tried to stop the job but it is now stuck in a state of "Stop Initiating".
I've stopped/started the services and evenutallty even rebooted server but this particular job remains stuck in "Stop Initiating" state.
Is there any way to fix this?

    Hi Joe,
    LMS3.2.
The job is validating SNMP/v2c Read & Write, Telnet and Telnet Enable.

  • Device Credential Verification Job Error

When starting Device Credential Verification Job, we have following error:
CDA0114: Operation failed while connecting to JRM. Make sure jrm and/or CTMJrmWrapper services are up and running.
    In cda.log, there is error:
    com.cisco.nm.xms.ctm.common.CTMException: URN_NOT_FOUND : urn "JRM" : Not found !!
How could we proceed to solve these problems?
We have LMS3.2.1 installed on Windows 2003 Standard Edition server.
    Please find attached log files.

    Hello,
I have a similar problem. I have configured a snmp v3 user using SHA to authentication an DES for private access.
We use RME 5.0.1 and when we try to run a CDA it doesn`t work reporting "Error performing SNMP operation".
In the log of the CDA job, we can see:
    [ lun nov 26  16:46:06 CET 2012 ],INFO ,[Thread-6],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.inventory.cda.job.DoCDAonDevice,updateCdaStatus,1784,Executing sqlStmt update DM_Credential_Error_Status set Cred_Status= 8 ,Cred_Status_Descr='Error performing SNMP operation.',Update_At='1353944766699' where NetworkElementID = 3685 and Cred_Type = 3
How can I use snmp v3 with RME 5.0.1?
    Thanks.

  • Device Manager reported driver missing for Officejet 7310 printer

I used the full-feature install software downloaded from HP site to setup an Officejet 7310 printer on a Lenovo T540p laptop with Windows 8.1 64-bit OS.  The install and the printer appear to work correctly as I can print and I can also scan from the HP Solution Center utility.  However, the Device Manager reports two errors/anomolies as follows.
Under the "Multifunction adapters" entry the Officejet 7300 series Properties shows the Device Status as:
This device is disabled. (Code 22)
Click Enable Device to enable this device.
Under the "Other devices" entry theOfficejet 7300 series Properties shows the Device Status as:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I find this a bit baffling as I believe the install software is supposed to include the driver(s), plus the printer seems to function (which could be due to default Microsoft drivers).
Any thoughts on how things got in this state and how to recover would be deeply appreciated as I prefer to not "ignore" the error messages.
    Thanks,
    Glenn
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Yes I was able to remove the USB instance and rename the network-connected printer instance as the sole printer.  I thought that should work, but I was a bit paranoid given the other weird things that happened with the package install.
I'm good to go; thanks again.

  • ActiveSync Device Statistics report for users does not show Device Phone number

    HI ,
I have trying to run a Active-sync Device Statistics report to get all the details for active Sync users, but report show only last four digit of  device phone number for few users and for most of the users its blank.
Is there way if we can get Device Phone number for active sync users.
    Thanks,
    Pradeep Kumar

    Hi,
Yes i have tried all of these transactions, these all relate to individual sales orders or production order costs.
Im looking for a report showing the costs for a range of sales order line items, exaclty like KOB1 but for sales orders.  KVBI does exactly what I want but the material filed is not populated.
Is there a way to populate this field as part of the settlement?
    Cheers
    Phil.

    Hallo Bastian,
I think you still have browser issue, Using IE is still the best with Prime.
I have exactly same prime 2.2 and installed fixes/software/device packs.
I have no problem I can see all views. I use now IE 11, with Chrome 42.0.2311.90 and firefox 37.01 I have problems too with lots of views. You have not tell what browser + version you have.
Since you have same prime 2.2 as me. I have other problems, can you check yours?

  • Issue in Device Details Report RME 4.0

    Hi guys,
I have LMS 2.5 with RME 4.0. When I generate a "Device Detail Report" alias field is truncate and don't show all device description.
Someone knows what can be happening?
    Thanks for all,
    Juliano Tibo

    Hi Juliano,
The Alias field is restricted to 65 characters long including spaces due to the fact that RME queries for that information from IF_MIB (1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18)
This variable is restricted to 4 octets (18: ifAlias - DisplayString(4 -octets))
Since the MIB itself is returning a truncated string, RME shows that only.
    Hope this answers your question.
    Regards,
    -Joe R.

  • Sending Ciscowrks device credential Verification Job alters the device ARP table.

    Hi:
I send a Device credential verification Job to two different devices  , a Cisco 3750 and a blade switch WS-CBS3120. I  configured SNMP write access to the switches. The SNMP write access in either SNMP v1 or SNMP V3 , tried both.
The job is send from the Ciscoworks server.
Once the job has completed, I do a show ip arp on the device and find a new entry with the IP address of the Ciscoworks  Server and the mac-address of the L2 next hop.
We would not have  noticed this behavior had it not been that in the case that the  switch  next hop is an HSRP vlan on a nexus , the ARP entry entered into the switch is incorrect, and from then on the switch loses connection to Ciscoworks.
The Mac-address that is entered by Ciscoworks , in the case of nexus is a statice mac defined on the Nexus for the Vlan in question , but it is NOT the HSRP default gateway MAC address. Therefore we lose connection between the switch and Ciscoworks. One has to manually clear the ARP table inorder to again reach the Ciscoworks.
    Questions:
    1. Why does Ciscoworks  insist on changing the ARP table?
    2. Is this ARP entry aged out or is it permeant as would an ARP entry which is entered through CLI  be  permeant ?
    3. In the case of the Nexus connection, this ARP entry does not allow Ciscoworks and the device to communicate. This is not productive!
Has any one come across this situation ? Any known fixes, workarround? I was not able to find a word about this on Cisco's site.
Our Ciscoworks is at the following levels:
    CW Common services    3.3.0
    LMS portal                    1.2.0
    CW Assistent                1.2.0
    RME                             4.3.1
    Device fault manager      3.2.0
    IPM                              4.2.1
    Cisco View                    6.1.9
    campus Manager            5.2.1
    thanks   for any help
    Mickey

CiscoWorks does not change the ARP table, at least not overtly.  A credential verification job will do the following things depending on what protocols are selected to test:
    SNMP RO : Fetches sysLocation.0
SNMP RW : Sets sysLocation.0 to the value currently stored in sysLocation.0
Telnet : Logs in using DCR username and password
SSH : Logs in using DCR username and password
Enable : Enters enable mode and verifies privilege level 15
If one of these things are causing the ARP table to change, then there is something fishy in the device or network configuration.  I've never heard of such behavior relating to CiscoWorks before.

  • Device Credential Verification Job

I have a device credential verification job which runs one per week.
Every now and again the job hangs and no matter what I do I can't stop the job to delete it. I can see the job in the job list and I can select it and choose STOP, howeverm after that the job stick in a "Stop Initiated" state and never changes. I've tried rebooting the server and this doesn't affect the job state or my inability to delete the job.
I can successfully create another Device Credential Verification Job and these run fine for several weeks.
    Two questions.
    1. Any idea's what's causing the job to hang
    2. How can I delete the jobs that are stuck in a "stop initiating" state
    Thanks,

It may be that you will need to get TAC involved to clean the job out of the database directly.  However, you can try the following first.  Run the "pdshow" command, and check for a daemon named the same as the job ID.  If you see it, run:
    pdreg -u JOB_ID
That should unregister the job daemon.  Then see if you can stop and delete the job.

  • Device history report incredible slow

    Hi,
Our device history report is incredible slow. We have had the same problem from the start using the SAP ME product.
Device history report is very useful, but has no value when it takes 2 minutes to run.
We are running 5.2.5.4 release. Performance in application is good and all other reports are running fast. Debugging shows me that the code could be improved for this report. At one time report was improved to run in "only" 20 seconds.
Last time I think the issue was fixed in SP03 Patch 1. It's really bad for the product that this useful report is this slow.

    Hello Knut Ole,
I would suggest opening a support ticket in order to investigate the performance issue. SQL trace with timing information must be analyzed.
    Regards,
    Alex.

  • Change Output Device Of Report

I have been given a request to change the output device (laser printer) of a report within our SAP system. All I know is the report name (YAPR9876), current output device (BH9J), and requested new output device (THBQ).
How can I go about finding this report and updating its output device.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
There is a section in IM customising under outout determination and printer determination where youn can make settings as to what prints where.
This report must have a setting and when you find it just change the printer
    I hope that this helps

  • MARS - devices not reporting

I have been implimenting a CS-MARS 50 and have it upgraded to 4.2.5. After the upgrade I started receiving the following error:
    Inactive CS-MARS reporting device
When I pull up the incident, it lists 100 devices, about 25% of the devices I have configured on the MARS.
Any ideas as to what would case such a large drop in data?

The same thing happened to me back when we first implemented MARS (v3.4). Chatty devices don't produce these alarms for me (like IPSs, Firewalls, etc) almost ever, so I decided to disable the Inactive Rule and clone it three times. Then I changed the Device in each rule to firewalls, IPSs and routers respectively. So now I have three rules to look for Inactive devices that I really care about. My switches never produce any events, so I was getting this alarm repeatedly from them. Now I just ignore stuff from the switches, CSA agents, etc. Not sure if this will work for you, but ...
** please rate if this helps*

  • Per Device Licensing report

    Hello,
We have a large organization that is transitioning from 2003 to 2008. We use per device CAL's for our RDS licensing.
Is there a direct way to generate a report/log of what RDSH's are connecting to the license server to issue CAL's to the clients? We have a process in place for allocating CAL's within our organization, but looking for a way to audit what session-host is
being connected to the license server.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Depending on the operating system on the terminal server, RD Session Host server, or license server, there are various options available to generate a report of client access license (CAL) usage. Please follow below article to create a CAL report which describe
    for server 2003\2008\2008 R2.
