Hello,
Encountering the same issue here: my impression is that the default port 80 is not in use, but during installation a different port is setup for connecting with the content-repo. Excuses, but my knowledge ends here. I haven't found out yet how to check, edit, restore the used port.
Anyone a clue for us?
Much appreciated,
Sleegemi

  • Cisco ISE 1.2 - Problem with Device Onboarding of internal users using AD Credentials

    Dear experts,
We have implemented ISE 1.2 with WLC 7.5 in our organization. We are using Device Onboarding by letting the users enter their AD Username and Passowrd on Guest portal which then redirects them to device registration portal where they simply register their device and they get internet access.
The problem is that some users are unable to authenticate using this portal while some can successfully authenticate and register their devices. All users are of the same group in AD. Also, we have enabled this check on two places. One is when users connects to the SSID where the security WPA2-Enterprise uses 802.1x and asks for AD username password. The other is on the portal.
All users are able to connect to the SSID using their AD credentials. However, 30% of the users are not being authenticated when they are redirected to the Guest portal for device registration. Also, it gives no error or event on either ISE or on the mobille device. When the users enters their credentials, the same guest portal page comes back blank with no errors or logs anywhere.
Can someone guide me if there is some configuration mistake that I may have done or have someone faced this same issue and were/weren't able to resolve it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jay

Our problem got solved. It was related to a few user accounts in AD. Usually any authentication on AD User Account is carried out using the User ID. However, during Web Authentication, Login ID/Name is also checked by ISE and should be same as User ID.
The problem you are facing might also related be to AD since we had the similar issue. try to check this on a laptop as the mobile portal gives no error if the user is unknown or invalid. Also, you can enable logs for web authentication which are off by default. It will give you a pretty good idea where the problem lies. And yeah, do not keep the web authentications log on for long, it can hang your ISE.
Anyways, thanks for all the support.

  • Some offerings are missing user input, some are not mapping to activites

Seemingly out of the blue my system has stopped mapping request offering answers to (manual) activities (mapping to the SR itself works), neither OotB properties or custom properties. This only happens when submitting them from the portal (ALL
    offerings)
Also, some requests are even missing user input (and obviously no mapping is possible).
This issue seem to affect all users. Even admins
I have tried restarting the web content server and also the website on the sharepoint server. I have also tried creating a brand new template and offering in a brand new MP.
I have been able to track down a ca. point in time this issue arose, but not found anything in logs anywhere (except SMPortalTrace). Checked web content server event log and website log, SQL log, event log on both management servers.
I have checked the SMPortalTrace.log and for every request submitted I get an error (not visible in the portal) - some is in danish, so I have translated at the best of my ability:
Failed to parse the description with links., System.ArgumentNullException: [ArgumentNull_Generic]
Ressourcestrings for troubleshooting is not available. Keys and arguments often contains enough information to start the troubleshooting a problem. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=106663&Version=5.1.30214.00&File=mscorlib.dll&Key=ArgumentNull_Generic
    ParameterName: input
    At System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex.Matches (String input)
    At Microsoft.Enterprisemanagement.ServiceManager.Portal.RequestOfferingSilverlightModule.UriParser.ParseDescription(string description)
The system is SCSM 2012 R2 UR2 (except the SP part of the portal)
    Update:
I found that if the user input is missing even from the SR then the error does not present itself in the SMPortalTrace.log, only if the user input goes through (but is not mapped to activities).
    http://codebeaver.blogspot.dk/

The issue seems to be related to a syntactically valid type projection in the Service Request form (customized) - I added a component to the existing projection. As the template that a request offering is based on has a reference to this projection I guess
the code that creates the Service Request submitted from the portal somehow ignores the "unwanted" type projection component, and instead of not submitting the request it continues but is unable to map into child activities. I will try and reproduce
    this in more detail.
Solution: Revert to original type projection in the SR form and everything went back to normal.

  • Missing user profiles in mysites

I have a question about missing user profiles in our Mysites. We have an SP2013 environment with a number of site collections and sub-sites and occasionally, we are finding that some users are missing their profile. If we click on their user name, in a link
on a page or library, we are directed to a plain page with some very basic information, not our typical user profile page that looks more like SP2013 styling.
Even though the profiles are missing, I find that it is easier to add them from PowerShell, through a script, than to go into the central admin and add them manually, however this brings up a question:
Is there a quick and easy way to determine if a user has a profile?
Currently, I run a script that cycles through each user of each group of each web of each site collection, and checks to see whether that account has a profile. The problem here is that this is a very time-consuming process and many accounts get checked
more than twice if they exist in multiple groups. If the user does not have a profile, I create one.
Is there a faster way to determine if a user has a valid profile, rather than running a check on each user every time? With thousands of users, this script will take a long time to run and create a higher than desired load on our server.

In SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 the user profile was created the first time a user accessed the site, but with 2010 that does
not seem to be the case. It either needs to be created through synchronization, programmatically using the API or PowerShell, or it can be created when the user clicks the profile or mysite the first time
If you want to auto-provision the MySites for a the missing users in your case you will need to do this with custom code as
you said you are writing a power shell script more ever it is one time activity so that is good way as well.  You would iterate through the list of users and call either the API, web services, or stsadm if this is a command line script, to create the
    site collections.

  • [SOLVED] DBUS boot problems - Mounting system devices as a normal user

I have the [testing] and [community-testing] repositories enabled. A few days ago, probably due to an update, I started having trouble mounting devices and the shutdown/reboot options don't show up anymore on the LXDE exit menu.
I use gvfs for mounting devices as a normal user with PCManFM or Thunar. The error message is "Authentication is required".
After some testing, I found out that by restarting dbus, I could start mounting devices again:
    /etc/rc.d/dbus restart
So my guess is that there's some problem with dbus startup. I have it in DAEMONS of rc.conf, as well as .xinitrc, the daemon seems to start correctly on boot, and it worked previously, so I have no idea of what could be wrong.
    My ~/.xinitrc:
    if [ -d /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d ]; then

    I solved it.
The Wiki page for Mounting for normal users with PCManFM tells to create a "/etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/55-myconf.pkla" file specifying the privileges to grant to the user. The problem is that it does not include the privilege needed to mount internal drives (which was what I was trying to mount). To fix it, I added:
    ;org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-mount-system-internal
    To the "Action=..." line.
(Though I have no idea why it worked before it broke, or why restarting dbus after initializing my WM fixed it.)
As for the power issues, I've concluded that it was working, but restarting dbus after initializing my WM broke it (my bad for not checking it before restaring dbus). So it all works now.

  • Missing User Field in Disable Individual Accounts section

We are running on Vibe 3.4.0 build 2835. We have a couple of issues here that has to do with managing users in Vibe. We use LDAP to populate our user accounts in Vibe. Being in a university, our users come and go a lot. They get disabled and re-enabled in eDirectory. When a user gets disabled in eDirectory, they get disabled in Vibe too. When the user comes back and is re-enabled in eDirectory, their account in Vibe does not automatically get re-enabled. I have to go into "User Accounts" in the "Administration Console", select the "Disable/Delete Accounts" tab, locate the disabled user and check the box beside the disabled user, scroll all the way down the list and hit the "Enable Selected Accounts" button. We ask the enabled user to try and login to Vibe and they get a "login failed" error message, even when I do a search of the user in Vibe and their account shows up. This is problem 1. So, next thing I do is to delete the user so I can re-synchronize the user back into Vibe through LDAP sync. The Vibe 3.4 Administration Guide (page 177, Deleting Individual Accounts, item 6) indicates that there is supposed to be a User Field where I can type in the name of the user and I would be able to select the user from the drop-down list that is supposed to appear. I do not see this "User Field" where I can type in the user's name. This is problem 2. So, I end up having to go to the "Select From All Accounts" section, go from page to page until I find the user to delete. Deleting a user in Vibe takes such a long time for us because we have thousands of users and it takes very long to go from one page to the next to get to a user who's first name is towards the end of the alphabet. If the "User Field" existed as the guide indicated, then it would not be such a big deal to delete a user. Even better, if the account were re-enabled in Vibe and the user is able to use it. Or even much better if the user's account in eDirectory were enabled and the account in Vibe were automatically enabled when an LDAP sync is executed. Would appreciate any information in getting this process of re-enabling users in Vibe working better for us, and help in getting the missing User Field to show up. By the way, I've tried this on Chrome, IE, and FireFox and everything I've described here works the same way on the different browsers, including the missing field.
    Thanks,
    Ronnie

is username 'DROSS' or 'dross'?Makes no difference. If user doesn't exist ALTER USER spits out
ORA-01918: user 'XXX' does not existnot
ORA-01935: missing user or role name To get the above error username must be omitted:
SQL> ALTER USER IDENTIFIED BY XYZ
      2  /
    ALTER USER IDENTIFIED BY XYZ
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01935: missing user or role nameSo ALTER USER statements OP posted doesn't add up with error that is raised. Have a feeling ALTER USER is generated dynamically and somehow username is NULL.

  • Wipe a mobile device before disabling a user

Has anyone tried to tackle the issue of remote wiping ActiveSync devices before disabling a user account with FIM?
We have an issue when we terminate a user and disable the account and we reset the password for good measure, the phone will not receive a remote wipe command since that user on that phone will no longer authenticate.
Curious if anyone has thought of a work around or some solution to wipe mobile devices.  Short of an MDM that will do this via an installed app on the phone.

Perhaps you can either use the PoSh MA or the PoSh workflow task to send the
    Clear-MobileDevice command to Exchange.

  • HT204074 'manage devices' button is missing in iTunes account

When opening my iTunes account I can only see that there are two devices active via my account. However, a 'Manage Devices' button is missing. How can I delete and/or add new devices in my account?
    Many thanks in advance, Morilene

It is not missing but is on the far right hand side. So you may have to widen your window to see it.

  • Workgroup Manager missing users running on 10.6.7 client

Strange issue I am coming across while running the most current version of Workgroup Manager (I just downloaded it again to make sure) on a Mac Os X 10.6.7 client! -> I notice that I am missing a lot of users when I log in and the application opens. I have already deleted the corresponding workgroup manager .plist (user/library/preferences) as well but this does not do much other than asking me to enter server and username/password again
Oddly enough ALL the accounts that are "missing" tend to be lower 3digit User ID's only... in fact the ONLY 3digit id that is showing up is my admin account.
Here's the really ODD part - Workgroup manager is only doing this when it is running on a 10.6 client mac! I am running the IDENTICAL version on a 10.5.8 client, logging into the same server, and ALL the missing users magically appear. Using the same server name, same login, same password - So I am pretty sure this issue is only due to some sort of glitch in how Workgroup manager is running on 10.6( my ver is 10.6.7)
AND of course the "missing" user names are still functioning perfectly well w/ clients receiving emails, logging in to folders etc. etc.
I cannot imagine that I am the only person having this issue, and am wondering if Apple or someone else can please give me some guidance as to the source of this problem and hopefully a bug fix / resolution of the same as I don't want to have to downgrade from 10.6 > 10.5 in order to perform user administration on my server (Server is also 10.6.7)
Thanks in advance for your help

You many not know how to do it now, but you will if you follow the instructions in the link. Or you can simply remove the original Home folder you configured in Setup Assistant while logged into the one you migrated. Then re-migrate your Home folder which will now take on the original account username. Then log into the newly migrated Home folder and delete the other one.

  • Delete item to wastebasket get missing user error

When I tried to delete a document from "my portfolio" in portal to my waste basket, I got error message "missing user". By checking the SAP log trace file, it showed "Cannot instantiate user <anonymous>".
Our Portal (Netweaver 7.0) is SSO to LDAP, and BI backend system. I was logged in to the portal as admin when tried to delete the document. Don't understand the above message why it was trying to instantiate anonymous user?
    Any helps will be appreciated.

    Hello!
Which SP Version are you using? Because we had similar problems which were solved with SP 17.
