Diadem graph based on one channel resulting in multiple lines

Hi!
I'm new to diadem and have a question regarding creating graphs in diadem 10.2. I have created a channel and viewing results from the channel in a graph. The graph has text as x-channel and numeric results as y-channel (Pareto?). Now I want each new result corresponding to one label in the x-channel to be a new line in the graph, i.e. ten labels with 2 different results at each label (corresponding to two samples) should result in to lines in the graph. How can this be done in Diadem?

I'll try to explain my problem better: I have a channel with 20 results, the results are linked to two different samples, sample1(repeated ten times)=ten results, one for each parameter(parameter = x-axis), sample2= new ten results for the same parameters. I need to generate a new curve in the graph per sample, resulting in two curves. The problem I have is that I generate two curves (I think...) but the results on each curve are identical, the graph plots only the ten first values for both curves. I need a loop that writes the correct values for each sample to the curve, so when the samplename changes value a new curve in the graph is generated plotting the next ten values. I have added my code so you can look at it.

BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETLIST returning one less result when multiples of 100...

Good day, All
We call BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETLIST to return address information (ADDRESSDATA) for a group of customer records (IDRANGE). Problem is that when the number of customer records is 201, 301, 401, 501, ... the address records that are returned are missing one. We get 200, 300, 400, 500, ... records returned.
I'm just wondering if anybody else has seen this and what you may have done to avoid this.

What you are saying makes perfect sense except when we remove one record from the IDRANGE list going from 201 to 200 then we get the expected 200 record results in ADDRESSDATA and SPECIALDATA. When we run that same removed record all by itself it does in fact return a single result line in both ADDRESSDATA and SPECIALDATA.
I did find a Support Note 882460 that mentions something similiar. Could this be the solution that we need. Our version of R/3 is 4.7

HELP!! Return Key results in multiple lines down

Everytime I press the return key, pages returns at least 10 lines. i can't figure out what is going wrong. PLEASE HELP

Put the cursor where you just hit return. Bring up the Text Inspector, Text panel. Check the settings under Spacing for Line, Before Paragraph and After Paragraph. Those all control how much space results when you hit enter.
You probably want Before Para and After Para to be at zero. You might need to select all text before making the change.

How to write to one channel of a task with multiple channels? (plus other things...)

So I have a USB-6009 DAQ. It has 12 digital output lines. I want one channel that is "Dev0\line0:10" which represents an address bus in my application. And a second channel "Dev0\line11" which represents a program enable line in my application.
I have tried creating two different tasks and adding one channel to one task and the other channel to the other task. The only task that worked was the task with "Dev0\line0:10". It was always the task containing that channel, regardless of the order of creation. So then I moved on to a different method. (I read somewhere that I should only create one task of each type. like only 1 DO task only 1 AO task etc... However I am also using the two analog ouputs to and have a task for each AO and they work just fine.)
I tried add both channels to one task. But when I needed to control only the address bus, I had to have some information for the other channel as well. This was a little trying, but I could configure it that way. But it turned out to be easier for me to just make one channel with all the lines and OR in the data for line11 with each write.
I just wondered if it was possible to write to one particular channel of a task and not the other channel? That would really be the ideal solution for me. especially if I could write multiple samples to the one channel while I left the other channel alone. Which brings up another complaint... Why does WriteMultiSamplePort only work if I use a DigitalMultiChannelWriter, and not if I use a DigitalSingleChannel writer even though my task only has one channel (and by the way I set up the channel as one channel for all lines)? A perplexing issue to be sure.
And no I can't just load all my samples into an array and write them all at once because I also have to manipulate the two analog outputs in between the various digital writes.
I am using NI DAQmx 7.5 and C#. I am trying to use the DAQ to program a digital switch, which has proven to be a real challenge. In push-pull mode there is too much ringing for the switches programming port to tolerate. But the switches interface is LVTTL, so I needed the 3.3V. When I changed to open-collector I had to use voltage dividers to drop down to 3.3V. But the rise time using open-collector is too slow for me the program the switch in serial mode, so I had to change to parallel. The switch has an 11 bit multi-plexed ADDR/DATA bus. So the DAQ I had chosen to use which had plenty of lines for the serial programming, now is strained to it's absolute limits by the parrallel interface. ARGH. The only output I am not currently using is the counter, and I'm going to need it if I ever want to read back from the switch. But first I have to seperate the ADDR/DATA bus from the CS line on the DIO lines of the DAQ. And I don't know for sure what I'm going to do about the voltage level translation when I have to go bi-directional. Maybe I can filter out the ringing in push-pull mode? Any thoughts on that?

In most cases, you are exactly right: you can only use one task for one type of operation (i.e. only one analog input task in the same program). With the USB 6009, you can have multiple digital output tasks running at the same time. I was able to run a digital output program with two different digital output tasks configured for a USB-6009.
However, you stated that it would be better if you had everything in a single task for your application and write data to only some of the channels. The easiest way to do this is to modify your array of output data so that only the data to that one channel is changing. So, for example, if you keep writing a 0 to the channels that do not need new data nothing will change.
If you have to change your analog outputs during this program, you could create an event structure that would stop and restart the analog output tasks without changing the digital output data. I hope that you find this information helpful.

I have one report in which I am having one table and three Graphs. I have added table prompt for one column i.e department. In that I have given three values. The values of my table changes as per the table prompt. But my requirement is my graphs should show me the result as per the selection of departments in table prompt. Please give me the solution for the same.

Hi,
Create a event channel the table view and refer the same channel name in the graph properties.
Edit Graph --> Edit properties --> Enable Master-Details Events --> Give the channel name.
It will work for the selection of table .

Order Graph Based on a different field

I'm creating a bar graph to track our design work for a specific season. I want the bar grapsh to have a sort order based on the taskID but display the Ttask Description on the chart. Here is an example of the data. RIght now the chart is based on the Task Description so the tasks are sorted in alphabetical order. The result is the graph shows the tasks in the wrong sequence.
I appreciate your help solving this issue.
TaskID Task Description
10 Turn over item from Design
20 Quote product item cost
30 Order Design Sample
40 Season Management Review

Sorry for the delay in responding to your reply. Let me give a little more background. We design gift items for specific seasons. A season may have 50 - 100 designs. All designs have 7 tasks that management wants to track. They want a bar chart that shows the description of the tasks on the x axis. The bar chart shows how many jobs per task are not started, in progress or completed. This is working as designed. The only problem is the descriptions of the tasks are in alphabetical order, not the actual sequence in which they occur. To get the proper sequence there is another field called TaskID. When I use this field, then the number of the task is dsplayed on the graph, not the description.
So, the question is how can I show the bars of the graph based on the TaskID but display the desctription? THanks for your help.

Setting the series color of a bi beans graph based on the data values

How do I conditionally set the series color of a bi beans graph based on the data values?
I am using the following code to get the data values and set the series color:

Graphs based on detail records

I am using CR XI R2. I have a report that I need to create Horizontal Percent Bar Charts. My data comes from 27 statements that have 4 answers each. I need to create a chart for each statment showing the percentages of each answer in the chart.
I can create a report based on one statement with the correct chart in the Report Header section. The query is pulling that one question though. What I need is to have a chart for each question in the same report but I understand I can't insert a chart in the details section.
How do I go about doing this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem.I thought that by moving the graphs into a sub report, then placing that sub report into the Details section, it would repeat. This has worked for me before with Cross-Tabs, but it didn't with the graphs.

Computer only plays one channel of audio

I use an HP Sleekbook 14 PC and recently it stopped playing out both channels of audio. I only get one channel. Any easy fixes?

Many Characteristics based on one particular characteristics Filter

Iam working on CRM reports in BW our req. is like this.
We got a characteristic Transaction type and other characteristics for questions on survey.
I need to view other characteristics after filtering it on particular tran type.
i.e, The first characteristic based on tran type 1 and second charac based on 2 and so on. I need everthing on one report.iam not using any keyfigure values.
My ques is, Is it possible to filter on all characteristics based on one characteristic but different values.
If so pl. help me on this.

Put Tran Type Infoobject.
Now Create a structure
Put the other characteristics in this structure.
In columns:
you said you are not using any key figures.

Creating a graph based on a quadratic equation.

Hello, I just got my first Mac and iWork 09.
I'm trying to create a graph in Numbers 09 based on a quadratic equation however I cannot find any way of doing this.
I just need to some simple graphs based on equations such as y = x^2 + 3x + 5
How do I make this into a graph in Numbers 09?
Oh and another question... If I have a graph with points based on X and Y data, can I turn the trend line into an equation?

To create a scatter chart, you need two columns (or rows) of data, one being X and the other being Y. So, in Column B put the X values you would like plotted. In Column C put your equation to calculate Y for each of those points.
B2 =1
B3 =2
etc
C2 =B2^23*B25
then fill down to fill in the rest of the rows in the column.
I'd recommend a look at the Numbers user's manual if the above doesn't make sense.
If you have plotted some X-Y data and want the trendline equation, you can turn on a trendline and have it display the equation. You can't use the coefficients from the equation unless you read them off the chart and type them into your table manually. However, you can calculate the trendline yourself in your table. That was covered in some depth in a thread from a little while back. Here's the link to that thread:

Offsetting audio moves it all into one channel.

Also, inserting "sound only" from a clip puts it all into one channel (the source clip is in both channels, I've checked!).
The sound on imovie is a complete joke, the skimming breaks down constantly and it arbritarily puts all the sound into one channel for any clip in the project where I try to do even the most basic sound editing or cross fading.
Has anyone else encountered or hopefully fixed this bug?
ilife is a toy for amateurs it seems, I've had similarly shambolic experiences with Garageband recently. What started as a nice simple 3 minute film has turned into a nightmare because of ridiculous glitches which take hours to work around or replace!
Rant over, problems however continue.. advice or solidarity appreciated..!

I agree with Ingo, first go through the ASCII DataPlugin Wizard in DIAdem 10.0 or later to generate a DataPlugin which will automatically load one of your ASCII files. Then I would recommend using a VBScript that either concatenates data already loaded from multiple files into separate Groups in the Data Portal, or using a VBScript that additionally pops up a multi-select file dialog to automate both the selection and concatenation.

Writing more than one channel to a file using Xaincnbg VI from the Universal Library

Hi,
Could anyone help me with writing more than one channel to a file? I am using the Universal Library version 5.40 with LabView 7.0 with the Xaincnbg VI.
With one channel everything in my program works beautifully, but when I add another channel and graph and wire it to the Write LVM only one channel ends up being written to the file. It seems like there should be some function that works to add the two output arrays or something of the sort, but I can't seem to find it.
If anyone has come across this problem or knows of how it might be solved, I would really like to hear about it!
