  • Pricing Difference between Sales Order and Invoice

    HI everybody,
The issue is about creating an accouting document from an invoice. When I try to process the invoice to accounting,
a message error runs saying that there is gab between thr sales document amount and the invoice amount.
How such a gap can pe possible?
    Many thanks for your help,
    Stanislas

    Hi Stanislas,
Since there is a manual price entry cancelling the gross price and discounts it would be difficult for me to comment on why this was done. You might have to get in touch with the user who has carried out this activity.
In standard SAP of giving sample, we would use the free of delivery document type and hence the pricing would not be carried out by the system. The document type and item category in this case would not be relevant for pricing (there would not be any manual entries).

  • Difference between F.05 and FBL3N amount in local currency

    Hey all,
There are difference between standart reports F.05 and FBL3N amount in local currency. Amount in Foreign currencies are the same. What could be the problem?
    Thanks,
    Esin

FBL3N show you the balances as per the exchange rate of Posting date of the document.
F.05 show you the balances as per the exchange rate of valuation key date.
Also exchange rate type might be different for foreign currency valuation.

Textbooks are educational books for use in schools and universities and the like. They are currently avaiable for purchase only in the USA. Textbooks have different contract clauses applied to them. Among them is an obligation on the publisher to offer textbooks that are sold in electronic form via other distributors in the iBookstore as well. Textbooks also have different (much lower) pricing tiers, and they must be made available via the bulk purchasing program. Textbooks must be authored with IBA (they cannot be ePub). I believe that textbooks also undergo a more stringent review process.
Normal eBooks (not in the textbook category) can currently be sold in 32 territories (US, Canada, Australia, and most of Europe), and their pricing tiers provide for much higher prices.
There is no difference in the widgets you can use in normal books and textbooks. The same widget set that is provided by IBA applies to both. In addition, a normal eBook can be published in ePub format and, therefore, authored with software other than IBA.
Books can contain audio and video and, yes, iBooks Author allows you to create such books.

  • What is the difference between billing document and invoice??

    Hello all,
I am an ABAPer but I have less business knowledge.. What types of billing docs are there? Is table VBRK used for all of them? What makes a billing doc. an invoice? What are the tables and tcodes for invoice as compared to that for billing doc?
    Thanks,
Hope you answer all my questions here... I will award points.
    Best regards,
    Charles.

Billing document is a general term that includes - sales invoice, debit memo, credit memo and cancellation documents.
In layman's term, invoice usually refers to the sales invoice, or what you send to your customer as your company's bill or charges.
So, all billing documents are not invoices..But all invoices are billing documents
Usually, Invoice is document indicating to delivery goods and Billing is a receipt of payment
Tables are VBRK & VBRP. For flow, go to transaction VF03, enter document number and hit 'Display Document Flow' button on toolbar
VBRK and VBRP holds billing/invoice details..
    Billing Document:
Generic term for invoices, credit memos, debit memos, pro forma invoices and cancellation documents.
The tables are VBRK and VBRP.
    2) -- once u do PGI the delivery document will be created. There is no way to stop it.. The thing u can to do go to the list of created deliveries in VL09. Select the delivery doc which u created. There u have the option of reversing the goods or canceling it.
Billing is generic term and u can say invoice is a type of billing document.
After PGI only way left is to cancel it by Using TCODE MBST as this Tcode is used to cancel any material document.
Invoice (F2) is a type of billing document. There are many billing documents like
    F1 - Order related Invoice
    F2 - Delivery related Invoice
F5 - Proforma Invoice for sales order
F8 - Proforma invoice for deliveries
    G2 - Credit memo
    L2 - Debit memo

  • Price difference between sales order and invoice

    Dear all,
    I have a problem about prices. For example;
In VA01 net price of items: 2.954.241,93
while; in VF01, net price of items 2.954.241,92
Difference occurs because of batches in VF01.
    In VA01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ;                quantity:     1.000,000kg Unit price:146,62 total:146.620,00
    But;
    VF01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ;               quantity:432     (Batch1)
                                                     quantity:366                 (Batch2)
                                                     quantity:162                 (Batch3)
    So a small difference occurs.
What should I do to fix this issue?
    Kind regards,

    Hi
As per your given example :-
    In VA01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ; quantity: 1.000,000kg Unit price:146,62 total:146.620,00
    But;
    VF01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ; quantity:432 (Batch1)
    quantity:366 (Batch2)
    quantity:162 (Batch3)
If you check you will find that system is calcultaing correctly.
In above case total material delivered is 960 Kg (432366162) and reate is 1000 per Kg. so total value is 140755.20. and if you calculate the price separately for each batches separately it will be 63339.84, 53662.92, and 23752.44 for the batches with quantity 432, 366, and 162 respectively. If you add these value it will be same as the value for 960Kg.
Now in any case if you are getting some difference in paise then you may use Price Condition Type DIFF or round off the Price Condition.

  • Differences between BW3.5 and BW7.0 Realtime Data Acquisition

    Hi,
Could any one explain me clearly the differences between BW3.5 and BW7.0 for Realtime Data Acquisition  and also steps for creating it in BW7.0.
Eagerly waiting for your reply. Thanks in advance
    Anan

You have to create tranformation in between your DSO and datasource.
If u have not done init of delta earlier, create Standard DTP and schedule init load.
If you did already, create or convert(if standard DTP already exists) Real time DTP. Now create infopckage with realtime field enable, and follow the steps of my blog on demanon from here onwards.

  • What is the difference between credit memo in invoice year and in next year

    Hi!
I'm new here.I'm study SAP ERP.I don't know what is the difference between credit memo in invoice year and credit memo in next year (asset accounting). Can you show and give me an example, please!
    Thanks and best regards!
Edited by: dinhtuan on Jun 28, 2010 3:10 PM

    Hi,
Maybe have a look at the SAP Help for further information (http://help.sap.com) : e.g. 'Posting Credit Memos Integrated with Vendor'  or 'Posting a Credit Memo Offset Against a Clearing Account'
Transaction type 105 for credit memo on current acquisition made in the current year, posting key 75. Or transaction type 160 for credit memo on acquisitions from prior years. posting key 75.
Note: determine if the asset was acquired in the current fiscal year or in a closed fiscal year (Display asset values).
If the asset was acquired in a fiscal year that is now closed, correct the past depreciation using a write-up (in that case check out and refer to Posting Write-Ups).
    I hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    Brigitte

    HI,
I am facing one problem when i run the standard query 'Price trends in last three months' the vaue 'X' is coming in price column. When i analyzed i found in infosource 2LIS_02_SCL, invoiced qty and invoices amount is blank. These two fields are used in the above mentioned query. Why these two fields are not getting updated? Am i missing something?
    Regards,

    Hi Sadhu,
    Thanks.
Yes, the material statistics group is updated.
The info structure is retrieving the amount but not the quantity.
This is the structure for invoiced quantity.
    Rules for key fig.
    Event                VD         Billing document
    Update type          A          Cumulative updating
Unit                 01         Base unit of measure

  • Relation between GL Account and Invoice?

    Hi Experts,
I am working with the FI reports for the first time and I do not have any idea on FI functional flow. I have some basic questions like
What is the Relation between GL Account and Invoice?
When will an Invoice be posted into BKPF, BSEG, BSAD, BSID, BSAK and BSIK? Is there any field in these tables which gives the Invoice number against which a GL Account is created?
For example if I want to calculate " no of vendor invoices without PO how can I do that"? How can I know what are vendor invoices created against a PO or without PO?
Thanks for any help in advance and I am bound to reward points.
    Sri

<b>What is the Relation between GL Account and Invoice?</b>
SAP's Glossary for GL Account is
"A structure that records value movements in a company code and represents the G/L account items in a chart of accounts.
A G/L account has transaction figures that record changes to the account during a posting period. These figures are totals that are used for G/L reporting."
In accountancy, an account is a label used for recording and reporting a quantity of almost anything. For example when a company pays salary to its staff, They debit Salary account. This is to identify what is the nature of an expense.
An invoice is a message to the buyer of goods or services that contains, among other things, Name of the goods or services, Quantity sent, & Remuneration due.
Invoice is also a SD document used to charge a customer for a delivery of goods or for services rendered.
<b>When will an Invoice be posted into BKPF, BSEG, BSAD, BSID, BSAK and BSIK? Is there any field in these tables which gives the Invoice number against which a GL Account is created?</b>
If it were a vendor invoice. (i.e you purchase items or service and recieve invoice)
Invoice get posted to the tables once someone makes a Logistics Invoice verification through t-code MIRO etc. The teble RBKP gets the first posting.
If it were your own invoice to your customers, then VBAK and VBAP get the posting.  The connectivity of tables are available in http://www.erpgenie.com/abap/tables.htm As far as SAP is concerned an invoice is a document, so you can only trace invoice as a document number, field name is usually BELNR. Even if a vendor invoice arrive, an internal invoice number is generated where the vendor invoice is entered only as a reference field. This is because, each vendor can have inovices of different size and pattern.
<b>How can I know what are vendor invoices created against a PO or without PO?</b>
For a purchase order you can find in table EKBE for BEWTP = Q any invoice document.

  • Difference between Credit memo and subsequent credit

    All SAP Gurus,
In MIRO, what is the difference between Credit memo and subsequent credit?
    Regards,

Difference between Credit memo and subsequent debits/credits
Subsequent Debits/Credits are used in cases where the quantity is in the original invoice is to remain the same. For eg.
    PO  10 - $10
    Gr   10 - $10
    LIV 10 - $11 (Logistics Invoice Verification)
The vendor invoice is more than that in the Purchase Order. In order to correct, the Vendor may send in another invoice for
the Increased amount or a credit memo for the increased amount.
If you approve of the price increase, post the subsequent invoice received as a Subsequent Debit/Credit Invoice.
If it is a credit memo that has been received, then post the credit memo as Subsequent Debit/Credit.
This would retain the quantity but reduce the amount.
Subsequent Debit/Credit is for the case when the credit is not for the full amount eg. if the Vendor decided to credit
    only the $1 overcharged.
Credit memo is for the credit of the full amount and value.

  • Difference between Partial payment and residual payment

    Hi,
What is difference between partial payment and residual payment and what is the effect of this payment on Payment Terms and Customer aging analysis report?
Can any body help me out.
    Thanks & Regards
    Amar Adam

    Hi ,
We can take the example given by BSR
For ex. an amount of Rs.100000 outstanding invoice (let say 2000 is the invoice number) in customer account which has payment terms as ZPTERM.
you have recd Rs.25000/- while selecting the open items if you select partial payment the entry will be
    Bank a/c dr. 25000
    customer a/c cr. 25000
Let us say the document posted is 1000 , which is a partial payment document.
Now this document ages from the posting date, and the payment terms of the invoice are not inherited i.e. you cannot see the ZPTERM in the payment terms field for partial payment document.
Both the Invoice(2000) and Partial Payment(1000) documents remain as open items.
If you make a residual payment, you can see the payment terms ZPTERM in the residual document i.e. payment terms are inherited from the invoice.
And the baseline date is same as invoice date. so ageing of residual document  is same as that of invoice.
In this case the invoice document 2000 is cleared and a new open item is created. you can check after posting the residual document, the baseline date and payment terms will be same as that of Invoice.
Hope this explanation will clear your doubts..
    Regards,
    Praisty

  • Difference between unapplied cash and unapplied receipts

Can anyone explain the Difference between unapplied cash and unapplied receipt ?

Unapplied cash simply means customer over paid and there is some dollar left which is 'Unapplied' then there is no transaction or Credit Memo associated to the unapplied amount.
Unapplied receipt : You have only collected the money from customer ie receipt is created but you havn't tag this particular invoice is being appllied.
