Different fonts at different mail accounts

hey. how can i have different fonts at different mail accounts? thanks. m

You can create a custum tree node and change node label string to html string.
class FileNode extends DefaultMutableTreeNode {
     private boolean explored = false;
     public FileNode(File file)      {
          //doing some thing
     public String toString() {
        String displayString = "TestString";
        if (displayString.trim().length()>4)
displayString="<html><b>"+displayString.substring(0,4)+"</b>"+filename.substring(4)+"</html>";
          return displayString;
     }You can change color and font for display string by your rule using html.

    In an IPad 2, can the two different mail accounts be made private?

    StashPro is an app which can keep things private.
    Photos/documents/videos can be kept private and private browsing is possible with this.
    no matter what you are doing, pressing the home button or power button locks the application and can be opened only by a password set by you while others can access rest of the applications.
    what i do is login to the mail program in the browser and leave it there.  so, the moment you click on this app and give the password, you will be taken to your mail (on the website).
    But the best part is that you can keep all sensitive documents hidden no matter how many people use it.
    hope this helps.  BTW, it costs less than 2 and half dollars and its worth it.  Google StashPro and go to their website to look at additional features.
    You can check the free version before buying the pro version.

  • Custom alerts for different mail accounts?

    Is there a way to set up different ringtones/alerts for different Mail accounts?  I'd like to make my personal and business emails ring/vibe differently.
    Thanks.

    Nope, as you look in your settings mail only has one option to change the sound and thats for any mail that is recieved.

  • Is it possible to have different mail icons for different mail accounts?

    I have several mail accounts configured in my iPhone 5s, and I want to see them separately and know when i have unread mails in each account, without having to enter in mail app.
    Thanks

    No, all unread email is consolidated under the single icon for the Mail Appl.
    You could use several different mail apps (one for each account). This would show you the unread emails for each account with a seperate icon. Chech the App Store for many more email Apps.

  • Different signatures for different mail accounts?

    Is it possible to set up a different email signature for different email accounts?
    I have both my business and personal accounts on my iPhone, and would like my business account signature to contain information about the business (contact details etc.) but I don't want the standard 'Sent from my iPhone' on there. Likewise, for personal stuff, I love having the 'Sent from my iPhone' when I email people, it is a good talking point.
    I've only seen the one entry for a signature, which seems to apply to all accounts, but if anyone knows a way of doing this I'd be greatful.
    Thanks.

    One signature is available for all accounts at the present time anyway and having multiple signatures to choose from with the ability to assign a signature to an account is also something I'd like to see since I also access a personal and business email account with my iPhone which isn't my business phone.
    I've provided Apple feedback about this here and I suggest you do the same but this is no guarantee that Apple will incorporate this with a future update since they probably have bigger fish to fry but at least they will receive it and who knows, maybe this is already in the works for a future update.

  • How do I make a different Mail account the default for sending new messages?

    I have several email accounts in Mail. When I go to Preferences> Accounts I see them. The account on top of the list is the default one for sending mail. I want one of the lower ones instead. Can I select this or move it to the top position (if that is what gives it priority)?

    Open Mail as usual and, at the sidebar, press the arrow next to "Inbox", so all your email accounts will show up under it. Simply hold the Command key and drag the email account you want to use by default to the first position. This will make it the default mail account to send emails

  • How to create and switch between two different Mail accounts.

    Dear Apple,
    My wife and I share the same computer and the same single user account.
    Sharing contacts, calendar, music and pictures in fine, but we would like two separate Mail accounts.
    Is there a way to setup two Mail accounts with two separate mailboxes and switch between them manually?
    Regards,
    Stephan

    Ok, I'm confused.  If you have 2 accounts set up -- for example, "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" -- then you go to the "Accounts" tab on Mail->Preferences, and set them up, giving each one a name which distinguishes it from the other.  Maybe "AOL" and "gmail" or "foo" and "bar" or your first names, whatever.
    Then, if you select the line that says "Inbox" you will see mail from both accounts interleaved together.  If you fold down the triangle thingy next to the word "Inbox" then two lines will appear, one for each account.  If you click on one of those lines then your display will only show the mail from that mailbox.

    Very strange, do you have any AV or Web filtering apps like Norton installed?
    Do the working accounts use a different Port or Authentication than the non-working one?
    The receiving email ports are:
    IMAP is port 143
    IMAP-SSL is port 993
    POP is port 110
    POP-SSL is port 995

  • Add folders to mail accounts so I can file mail to different mail accounts

    How do I make individual folders in my mail accounts

    Hello Apple. Thank you for such a quick reply. Looks like the iOS5 folks listened to my post. That's just wonderful - and quick.  Here is what they plan to do: Your inbox is about to receive some great new features. Format text using bold, italic, or underlined fonts. Create indents in the text of your message. Drag to rearrange names in address fields. Flag important messages. Even add and delete mailbox folders on the fly. If you’re looking for a specific email, you can now search in the body of messages. And with iCloud, you get a free email account that stays up to date on all your devices. So there!

  • I have 3 different mail accounts which i have consolidated under Apple 'Mail'. whenever I log in it proceeds to download hundreds of emails each time to the extent that my disk (the largest you can buy and the computer is only 4mths old) is now full

    i took my computer to the genius bar at a store last time this happened and after about 30mins they found a 'hidden' file that held thousands and thousands of old emails, which they deleted. Unfortunately I didnt see where they found it so I could do the same again. i have gone directly into my email accounts and deleted everything over 12mths old so there are limited amounts (7,000) that 'Mail' should be able to download, but that doesnt sem to make a difference. any ideas?

    You issue is probably with your email provider. You should check the settings for each account and somewhere you will be able to set it for something like: Delete mail after X days. If you are using  POP mail you can find this setting in Mail Preferences - Accounts - Advanced and look for Remove copy from server after retrieving message and then set the toggle.
    BTW if no one on this forums knows where the "hidden file" you are referring to is then please repost in the Lion forum, that is where most Mail related questions should go. The reason being is Mail is considered part of OS X.
    Good luck.

  • Different mail accounts with different intervals ?

    I have Mail setup with 4 accounts. Everything works fine as it is. I have the interval set to 30 minutes. I would like to check one account more often (say 15 minutes) and the others less often (every hour ?). Is there any way to do this ?
    thx, Lloyd

    OK, so there is nothing built-in to do that. Could I set in on Manual and run the mail checks from an AppleScript instead ? Somewhere I seem to recall that Automator can run scripts on a time-release (like a unix cron task). Mail does have individual sub-menu items to check mail for an individual account. Would this work ?
    thx, lloyd

    You cannot password protect email accounts on the iPad. the iPad was designed as a single user device. You cannot have multiple accounts or password protect apps on the iPad.

  • Changing the name of a mail account - consequences?

    I know that, if I delete a mail account, the content will disappear too, unless it has been transfered first to some other file than the incoming mailbox.
    My question now is different: due to a recent increase of spam, I have decided to change the address of one of my accounts instead of deleting it. That is: I would replace an address such as [email protected] with [email protected] I won't create a new account, only make some modifications in an existing one (of course, I will also make changes accordingly on the server - those are addresses associated to a domain name which I own and which is an active website).
    Question: what will happen to all the messages associated with that specific mail account in my incoming box? Will they just be kept as they are, or is there a risk that they might disappear in the process? If I open them, will still the original address to which I received them be seen in the header, or will it be replaced with the new one.
    In short: I would like to know all the possible consequences I should think about before making such a change. Certainly some people on this forum have already made the same experience and could enlighten me. Thank you!

    In cases such as this, you should make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder before proceeding, just in case something goes wrong. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
    I would replace an address such as [email protected] with [email protected]
    What identifies a mail account are the User Name and the Incoming Mail Sever, not the Email Address. If you change just the email address, but not the username, the account will still be the same as far as Mail goes.
    If the User Name must be changed as well, though, that would be a different mail account, and even though you could just change the settings of the current account, I’d rather create a new account in Mail, transfer all your mail from the old account to the new one, and delete the old account afterwards.
    Note that you should never, ever, set up two accounts in Mail with the same account type, username, and incoming mail server.
    will still the original address to which I received them be seen
    in the header, or will it be replaced with the new one.
    The information stored in the messages themselves won’t be altered.

  • Mail App Beachball Due To A Specific Mail Account

    Greeetings,
    Hopefully someone out there will be provide some assistance with this...
    So, the situation is as follows: My Mail app has recently started freezing/beachballing for 30 seconds-2 minutes every time I start it up fresh after quitting the app (after both restart/shutdown and after quitting and reopening without restart of computer.) I have 3 different Mail Accounts in my Mail App and after clearing out my entire V2 folder in the home library and subsequently readding each account individually I have been able to verify that there is one specific account that is causing the beachball. The account is an imap account through the us.army.mil server. The most aggravating piece of this puzzle is the fact that for the first 4 or 5 weeks of owning this computer, I never had a single hiccup with Mail; this problem only surfaced about 3 days ago.
    Does anyone have any guidance on why a specific imap account would cause the beachball?
    Any suggestions about how to tweak the settings in order to prevent the beachball?
    Thank you in advance.

    Additional Note:
    After playing around with some additional settings I discovered that the us.army.mil imap account ONLY causes the beachball if I am connected to the internet when I launch the Mail app. If I am not connected to the internet when Mail launches, there is no beachball, nor does the problem crop up when I connect to the internet after Mail has launched and the accounts do their initial sync.
    This is getting stranger and stranger...

  • HT1277 I can not configure my major mail account at Mac Mфail - other accounts such as Hotmail and Gmail are working great. Also, I am using that major account at iPhone and iPad with no problem

    hello. I can not configure my major mail account at Mac Mфail - other accounts such as Hotmail and Gmail are working great. Also, I am using that major account at iPhone and iPad with no problem. I had contacted mail provider - we had followed step by step all the settings,, they are correct, and I was suggested to use another mail program. Why, for God's sake I should use different programs for different mail accounts? Anyone, had the same problem?

    it says - IMAP - Trying to log into this IMAP account is failed - Verify that username and password are correct
    same for SMTP
