Different tax codes in the MIRO for single service item

Dear all,
Customer wants to enter 2 different tax codes in the MIRO for single service item. How it can be achieved?

It is cross-counties transportation. Part of route outside company country is non-taxable, inside part is taxable. Amounts are proportional to distance and hence become known only at time of invoice receipt.
Users do not want to create 2 separate invoices. They would like to have ability to enter 2 lines in MIRO. But I need your help to understand, how it can be done? Service receipt is done by single line (because actual taxable / non-taxable amount is unknown at that time). So, is it possible to enter non-taxable amount in MIRO in some additional line?

  • Different tax codes for a Sales order and Credit memo

    Dear All,
We have created a sales order and in the invoice some X Tax code is determined in the Account document.
But when we created a Credit memo request with reference to the same Sales order, we are getting different tax code in the Accounting document of Credit Memo.
Kindly clarify how is it possible.
    Regards,
    Mullairaja

    HI
Credit memo request with reference to the same Sales order
    Because Suppose
Case 1 : you created Sale order 100 PC & Delivery  50 PC, Invoice raised 50 PC
In that above case if you take Sale order reference system will take 100 PC , but logically you need to raise Credit memo for 50 PC
Like that we can create Some cases , so try to create credit memo request based on Invoice not for based on Sale order number
Coming to you Query , try to check the Ship to party for that line item and also check the master data's once
    I hope you understand

  • CIM XML Examples for Importing Service Item Data

Use these simple XMLs to edit and create your CIM file to import SI Data...
The Lifecycle Center guide provides all the instructions on how to create the CIM XML for importing Service Item data - the attached examples can be used as a starting point for you to use.
The "Host Policies" example provides the format for a single service item
The "System Policies Approvals" example provides the format for multiple service items
Note the image below taken from the LCC guide to capture the correct data type that must be used in defining each SI attribute in the XML.

maybe I'm being a bit slow on the uptake, but I've tried and tried and none of my XML files will import, they always stop at 'Class Not Recognised'.
I had originally assumed the class was the SI type - does anyone have any information about this?

  • Tax not calculated in MIRO for the condition type JVCD

    Hi,
We made some new different tax code and attached with JVCD , its calculating in PO but in MIRO calculation part not done but for other condition type ,JVRD,JVRN system calculating well...
Please tell me some way why not system calculating in case of JVCD and JVCN for capital case..
    Thanks in Advance,
    Dharmveer

    Hi,
We totally agreed with you and already we checked our configuration part is OK.Actually we want to map some process where we captured excise in GR but no need to take credit i.e. to post the excise in J1IEX,so we do not have to post our cenvat/modvat entry in MIRO but we need to calculate VAT whether it is deductible or non deductible. So far this thing is concerned,we made separate tax code which we use at time of MIRO posting and in configuration we did not attached the tax code in logitics-basic excise -assign to company code. Because once we attached here , system asking to make to pass furst RG part2 entry then it allows to post MIRO entry which we do not want .So please understand this scenario is different and we got the success for JVRN/JVRD for VAT but getting issue in case of capital VAT where system does not calculate tax for JVCN/JVCD .....where we want to process MIRO without posting J1IEX..
Please thing and analyse ..give some helping response..

  • Different tax code for condition type

    Hello Gurus,
I have defined a calculation schema for import POs.
I would like to automatically determine the default tax code on the invoice verification depending on the condition type, for examle:
    Cond type                     Tax code
    ZF01 Freight            --> C0 0%
    ZS01 Custom agent --> C1 13%
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Nelson.

If you wish to default the tax code for the planned delivery costs this must be obtained from an independent source which is OMR2 If you do not wish to default the tax code, then the only alternative is to select the tax code when in transaction MIRO.
At least withing the standard I don't know any solution for that =/
    Sorry & good luck!

  • How to configure Two Tax Codes for single line item in work order

    Hi All,
Please do Review the below scenario and tell me how to solve it.
    A) Certified Work Done Gross Bill Amt      100,000
    Total Work Done Value      100,000
    Less : Labour & Like Charges @ 30 % on Rs 100,000 =  30,000
    Vat applicable Amount =      70,000
Add VAT @12.5%  Chargeable on Taxable Turnover of Rs. 70,000.00     = 8750
    Total Bill Value = 108750
    Service Tax @ 12.36% on 33% Value of Rs. 100000     = 4079
    G.Bill Amt = 112829
Total Amt Due for Payment = 112829

HI,  There is a possible solution for this scenario.
    1. Create 2 tax codes for VAT and SERVICE Tax at 12.5% and 12.36% respectively
    2. While posting the Invoice (TRX - FB60) following steps need to be followed.
    3. Amount has to be split into two line items
    4. Ist Line Item should have the Vat amount + 70000/- and select relevant tax code that was
        created for 12.5%
    5. Similarly 2nd Line Item should have Service Tax amount + 30000/- and select relevant tax code that
        was created for 12.36%.
Hope this would meet your requirement. If the solution is okay, kindly indicate the points.

  • How to enter invoice with two different tax codes in one line?

    Dear friends,
I have this PO for which I enter the invoice.
I recieve later a subsequent debit for this PO from the transporter. This subsequent invoice has got extra debits, one with 21% VAT and one with 19% VAT, which means two items with two different tax codes.
I want to enter this subsequent debit for each item of the PO, and I want to enter both debits in every item of the PO.
How can I enter in one row in MIRO a debit with two different tax codes.
    Thank you.

I want in the same line item to enter two tax codes.
Do you Know if there is any way to do this?
It is a subsequent debit and it has two items with two different tax codes. I want to enter the subsequent debit for a PO with many items and enter the value of the whole subsequent invoice. So there is the need to enter one line item with two tax codes.
    How can this be done?
    Thank you?

  • Assigning multiple withholding tax codes of the same witholding tax type

As described in note 363650, I have configured a withholding tax type FE to include a range of withholding tax codes of 0% for US 1099 reporting only. I also carried out the conversion to extended withholding and resolved all errors. My requirement is that I need two different withholding tax codes of this type to be open and editable in MIRO and FB60. I am receiving error Message no. 7Q005 when I attempt to add another code of the same type.
What is the best practice for configuring/recording withholding tax in this case?
    Example:
    Vendor XYZ
    Header amount of invoice: $1000.00
Amount relevant for withholding tax type FE code 01: $600.00 (rents)
Amount relevant for withholding tax type FE code 07: $400.00 (nonemployee compensation)
    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the input. My problem occurs when attempting to assign the second tax code in the vendor master. The system doesn't allow for the second code of  the same type to be added.
I can assign one code in the vendor master without issue, and all fields are editable in the withholding tax tab for the first code, both for invoicces and for payments.
I have been offered one suggestion to configure a differrent range of codes with a new tax type. This would mean that if I had only one vendor relevant for 3 tax codes (rent, royalties, unemployee compensation) then I would have to configure two additional withholding tax types with all the codes associated with them. This doesn't seem like the best approach -- am I missing a setting or some other minor config to solve this?

  • How to find out the condition type of the tax code in the PO document

    Hi friends,
My questions is how to find out the condition type of the tax code in the PO document.
When you use me23n to display one PO document. In the invoice tab, there is one text field named 'tax code' whose value could be T1, T2, J1, J2 and so on. Beside the text field, there is one button named taxes. When you click the button taxes, it will show you the condition type of the tax code. For example, if the tax code is 'T1', then its condition type 'mwcn'.
I want to use the information on the PO to find out the value 'mwcn' of the tax code 'T1'. Could anybody help to describe the logic?it looks like the value is saved in the table konp. But I don't know the logic. Please describe. Thank you.

    Hi,
Hope you have asked for select query..
select single knumh from a003 into wa_knumh
      where mwskz = wa_itpotab-mwskz
      and kappl = 'TX'
      and aland = 'IN'.
select single kbetr from konp into wa_kbetr
      where knumh = wa_knumh.

  • Acquisition tax in Belgium/Germany-Posting with different tax codes

    Dear Friends,
Does anyone have experience working with Acquisition tax in Belgium and German where the goods and services purchased within EU have 21% -input and output tax such that it is ZERO. But still Tax authorities need to see both input and output tax amount with different tax code such as under:
    Expense a/c Dr 100
    Payable a/c Cr 100
    Input VAT a/c Dr 21 - Tax code A1
    Output VAT a/c Cr 21 - Tax code B1
Any help as to how to post the above entry and how to customize tax code to get the above result and any changes if required in country code tax calculation procedure will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Pinky

    Hi Pinky,
When you define your tax codes, the system defaults certain tax types that have been defined in the system for specific countries. Input tax, output tax, and non-deductible input tax are examples of tax types used in Germany.
The system determines which tax types are to be displayed by means of the country key. A calculation procedure is specified for each country key, and this procedure contains the country-specific specifications for calculating and posting the different tax types.
When you define the calculation procedure, you must answer the following questions concerning each tax type:
What is the base amount for calculating the tax? This can be the expense or revenue amount or, as with sales equalization tax in Belgium, a tax amount.
Which calculation type is used to determine the base amount: percentage included or percentage separate? With very few exceptions (such as for travel expense accounting in Germany), the base amount is normally determined percentage included.
    The tax amount is 15%.
    Percentage included
Tax amount = invoice gross amount * (tax rate/100 + tax rate)
    150 = 1150 * ( 15 / 100 + 15)
    Percentage separate
Tax amount = invoice net gross * tax rate/100
    150 = 1000 * 15 / 100
To which side of the account must the tax amount be posted? The input and output tax is always posted in accordance with the G/L account and asset line items. For the tax to be posted additionally, the side of the account is determined depending on the input or output tax. For the acquisition and investment tax, for example, you post to the opposite side of the account.
Should a possible tax expense be divided between the G/L account and asset line items or posted separately? If, for example, you have a non-deductible input tax amount, you can choose whether to post to a separate expense account or apportion the tax expense between the G/L account and asset line items.
The type of tax calculation and posting depends on the answers to these questions and the combination of those answers.
The following topics introduce individual tax types and explain the necessary specifications for calculating and posting tax. For more information on the calculation procedure, see The Calculation Procedure.

  • Defaulting Tax Code in the PO line item by Material Group

    Hi All,
How do I default the Tax code for the PO line item by material group in INDIRECT purchasing (without Material Number)
What is the config for this?
    Thanks in advance.

Not possible with mateiral group except you devvelope custom solution or try the following
    Do the config in thetcode
    OMKL
    OMKN
    OMKO
than maintain that for your conditon in MEK1.
In this section, you maintain the tax code determination facility.
Within the framework of the price determination process, it is possible
to have the tax code determined automatically via the conditions.
For the purposes of automatic tax code determination, tax indicators
derived from the material master record, Customizing, or the purchasing
document are used. The system determines the tax code on the basis of the
    combination of these tax indicators.
To assign a tax code to a combination of tax indicators, you must
maintain master conditions in Purchasing (menu options "Master data ->
    Taxes").
There are tax indicators at the levels "plant", "account assignment
    category" and "material".
In addition, there are two tax indicators that are derived from the
    purchasing document:
o  Country of origin and country of destination differ
o  Region of origin and region of destination differ
The assignments "tax indicator -> plant" and "tax indicator -> account
assignment category" must be made in Customizing.
Automatic tax code determination can be useful, for example, if different
tax rates apply depending on whether a material is placed in stock or is
    consumed immediately following its procurement.

  • How to Avoid Tax Code while doing MIRO

    Hi,
MIRO insists on a tax code. PO has no tax code.
This must be due to some configuration. Can this configuration be removed so MIRO can be done without any tax code?
The company does not want SAP to check for tax on purchases.
I have removed the settings in GR/IR GL account master data and hence it is not the reason.
Please provide some inputs,it will be a great help if anyone can respond to this..
    Thanks
    Kishore

    Hi,
If company doesnot want tax in fi make all l account as posting without tax allowed. Also you can define 0% tax so that tax line item will not get generated in SAP.

  • Automatic Flow of Tax Code in the purchase order (Service)

    Dears,
My purpose is to populate the Tax Code automatically in the Service Purchase order (Account assignment U and Item Category D). The tax code in the purchase order is required for ERS.
If i maintain the tax code in the info record for a material, then the tax code is getting automatically flown from the Info record to the purchase order.
However, if I maintain the tax code in the info record for a service, then the tax code is not getting automatically flown from the Info record to the purchase order. Is there any other settings to be maintained to populate the tax code for the service purchase order?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramesha

    Hi,
The tax code in PO is at item level for stock material.
In your case you cant make it default as inforecord field is at service level(You cant make it default for every service specifications you create at item detail level)
Check the field info record in your service PO.

    Hi Friends
How do i default  tax code in a PO
    for a combination of

    pur. org.
    PO doc. type
    when ever
    COCD == X &
    Pur. org -== Y

i do not want to hard code Tax code for a GL account,
as this GL account will be used by many other Pur org.
    thanks
    Prasanna

    Hello Prasanna,
Come to the practical business.. The tax code may varies based on Vendor, material, location then how can you set tax code with the combination of your entities i.e. Com code, pur org and doc type.
You can maintain in Inforecord that will copied to Purchase order.
If you still want to make it default then use the relevent user exit as suggested by Charlie.
    Hope this will clear.
