Digital Bank for DSP 6713 in LabView 8.5

Hi ! I'm working with DSP Module (6713) for voice recognition.
With LabView 7.1 I can send the output data trough a digital data bank (Elemental I/O) and configure output to an external adress (using expansion board).
Now, with the LabView 8.5 I can't find this block and the only digital output are the LEDs.
There is some block that I can use to send digital data trough the expansion board ?

       LabVIEW can communicate with PDA devices using PDA Module, but does not exist a GSM Built-in.
       To program this application in your PDA, you must have the driver to communicate LabVIEW and GSM module and have a deeper understanding of the low level implementation of the phone.
       We basically allow the OS to determine which hardware could transmit the GPRS message over (i.e. GSM Modem).
       The TCP and UDP tools are available to use in PDA Module.
       Or, you can use other connectors in PDA which you could connect a GSM modem and send commands via VISA, such as via a serial, Bluetooth, USB, or PCMCIA port.

Digital trigger for analog scan

I need to synchronize the start of several measurements with a trigger. I am using a NI 4472 input card and PCI-6731 output card. I need to trigger an analog scan on the 4472, a voltage output from the 6731, and trigger a dmm to start scanning with a digital output from the 6731.

To trigger acquisition on the 4472 from a DIO line on a 6731, you would need to follow recommendations similar to Sal's. You could route the DIO line to a RTSI line on the PXI backplane, and then set up the 4472 to trigger acquisition off that RTSI line. You could also use an external connection and wire the DIO line to the "External Trigger" input on the 4472, and configure it to trigger off that signal. Probably the most important thing for you to do is make sure that everything that you want to trigger off that DIO line is setup and waiting for it before the trigger occurs.
You can also use the example finder to find examples that will work with each individual device. In the bottom left-hand corner of the LabVIEW example finder, there is a button that you
can click on to select or add the different pieces of hardware you want examples for. After you have configured that correctly, if you limit results to that hardware (check box), the only examples that you will see will be work with that piece of hardware. There are numerous examples of triggering on a digital line for the 4472. Hopefully this get's you moving. Good luck!

Using Consumer Digital Camera for the Vision System

I am evaluating, if I can use a consumer digital camera for the vision system. I wanted to see if anybody out there have done that in past? The other question is, do the consumer camera manufacturers provide the driver software in order to retrive the images directly from the camera to the computer ?

I think your suggestion is right, using a firewire camera is much
straightforward. But some consumer cameras have advantages too because
of the very high resolution, especially the newer models of digital
still camera. If the cameras support PTP protocol, then I have a

I don't know which LabVIEW Embedded product you are using (LabVIEW for ARM or the Microprocessor SDK) but there are shipping examples that walk you through basic DIO and Serial communication (for the LM3S8962) that you should be able to port over to your hardware. The two shipping examples are called DIO.lvproj and Serial Comm.lvproj. You can find these shipping examples in the Example Finder (Help>>Find Examples..) under the section called Toolkits and Modules and then under the ARM section.

Could there be independent VI paths for different versions of LabVIEW?

Hello,
When jumping between different versions of LabVIEW (6.1, 7.1, 8.5) it is annoying that the current path for one becomes the current path for the other.
If I am working with LV 7.1 in a folder dedicated to 7.1 VI's, and then open LV 8.5, I don't want 8.5 to go to that 7.1 folder by default. Alternately. if I was working in LV 8.5, closed it out, and then I click on a 7.1 VI, I don't want it to open in LV 8.5.
I've tried changing the path options in each version of LabVIEW, but that doesn't seem to help. Is there any way of isolating these folder paths from one another? One of our newer LV guys accidently opened some 7.1 code in 8.5.1 and then saved it. Luckily, I had archived code to return to, but it could have been a disaster.

You're actually asking two different questions.
The first question has to do with which version of LabVIEW gets launched when you double-click a file. This is an operating system thing. The one that gets launched is the last one that got used. (Your first question will be: can this be changed? Answer: Change the operating system. Or, play around with the registry each time you quit out LabVIEW.)
The second question has to do with search paths. These are independent. However, a VI will contain information about its subVIs in terms of where to find them. This is not a function of LabVIEW, as it is a function of the VI. Thus, it will make no difference which version of LabVIEW you use to open the VI. You can, if you wish, modify the search paths that LabVIEW uses to find VIs for each version of LabVIEW from the Tools->Options menu. However, this will not eliminate the problem, and your best bet is to keep those backups frequent.

I tried to access my Mother's bank for online banking. She has had a slow decline with dementia, I'm Power Of Attorney for her. When not being able to sign in, I heard through the iPad 4 Wi-fi 64 gig, a measured buzz sound, like ppffzzzttt. I've had 3 / 4 & 4.5 and never heard this sound before.
I have had Power of Attorney for my Mom for quite some time. She has been suffering with dementia in a slow then sped up type after her last heart attack. I was the worst candidate for the job but no one else would take it.
I set up banking on line so I could pay her bills. I am disabled and have trouble paying my own. The iPad again filled those shoes perfectly.
I logged on yesterday, and the page said, user name not found. I figured it might have been server maintenance or poor typing but even with all personal details the server would not send my user name.
I became concerned because today I received the Vudu letter that said their headquarters were broken into on March 25th, 2013, and a number of hard drives were stolen with all info they keep on me. They set up an all clear id free of charge for a year, if I wanted to take advantage of it which I did.
The part that bothers me is when I was inputting my Mother's sensitive id information my iPad 4 / Wi-Fi / 64 gig emitted a measured buzz sound 3 times. I have had the 3 / 4 / 4.5 / faster processor but did not go for the 128 gig 4.75, and in all that time I have never heard that sound.
The question, was the bank computer or the FBI probing my iPad 4 and did it place something on it in the memory or damage it in anyway.
I was on the phone for the next three hours with the good, bad and ugly at Citizens. After talking to an acquaintance bank manager who said she saw no problem and did not know why I could not log in. I spent the next three hours on the phone and ended up talking to a nasty tech who said, it was a rule that I could not do my Mother's banking on line anymore. A "rule" prevented me from acting in that manner. It all, from every party sounded so "hinky," Don Johnson, Miami Vice and wondered if there was a rule at all.
I asked him why and what triggered the on line banking system to suddenly boot me? The fact I had set it up about one year ago to date and it has performed flawlessly since that time and a whole year later it flagged the account. He said it could have been anything, pressing the wrong key, etc. I knew he was getting edgy so I ended up getting off the line with him because nothing would be accomplished.
I would appreciate any and all speculations, ideas, or suggestions as I look over banking law, rules, in the next few days. By the way, the money we are talking about is miniscule. A small SS check and an even smaller pension check.

That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly. Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled. I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned. Sorry this happened the way it did. Definitely not efficient.

Using a Mac Mini for DSP

I am wondering how many users are there out there using a Mac Mini for DSP to allow for more processing power.
wondering what types of experiences people have had out there/how well the machines work together. and if you would or would not recommend doing so
i would assume that it would help out with all of the processing and makes things sound better in the end?

I don't do it on a regular basis, but I tested out using an intel mini as a node on a G5, and it worked fine. Probably added about an additional 25% of what the quad could do (so if the quad did 100 of a plugin, the mini added 25 more).

How can i get a free digital download for the Logic express 9 DVD version

I recently bought an new Imac. There is no dvd player. What gets me frustrated is that i own almost all Apple products, but i can't seem to get my DVD version of Logic Express on my new imac. I tried to share the dvd drive of my macbook pro, but that doesnot work with copy protected software. So i can't install from that external dvd drive.
So now i have a:
Iphone
Ipad mini
Macbook pro
Imac
and ik can't use my officially purchased version of Logic. Microsoft offers a free digital download for registered version of Office for Mac. Is er there also a free digital download for Logic Express? Anybody?
If there is not, i feel ripped off.

Firefox is no longer compatible with certain sites (eg my digital banking) when I have previously had no problems.

Some websites which I have accessed without problems will no longer work with Firefox. My digital banking site says that I should have Firefox 2.0 (at least) & I have 3.6.8 installed. My Yahoo mail will not open in the new version - again it suggests Firefox 2.0 or above.

I reinstalled Itunes a couple of times. I unistalled all programs that I never use, I updated all of my drivers, Windows swept my computer and found no problems. I have a yellow causion lite when I look at the USB-port with the phone connected. All other devices work without a problem.

Hmm, if you are not using Oracle Payroll, what are you using for payroll? I am wondering why you could not use your payroll system, whatever it is, to handle this reimbursement program.
Well, you may want to talk to Oracle support about how to handle this in Oracle iExpense. You can certainly handle advances for Expense Reports. You would then apply the advance to the expense report items. The catch is I don't think you can stop expense item entry after the adavance is satisfied. You would have to set up a work flow process of some kind to have the expense reports reviewed and only approve expenses that are applied to the advance, is what I am thinking. Not your ideal solution, but something to think about. It could be the Oracle folks might know of a sneaky way to handle this. What you are trying to do is unusual. Employee advances are common, but the idea of not being able to exceed the advance amount is what unusual about this. Normally you will accept any expenses over the advance amount and reimburse the employee for those extra amounts not advanced.

How to format the text in a Digital Signature for a PDF in landscape orientation?

I have a custom Digital Signature plug-in which prompts the user to enter few details on a dialog and then renders the signature. Now, the problem is for a page which has PDPageGetRotate value as 90. In this case, the entire content(text) in the signature is rendered reversed i.e its displayed upside down. However, for a page in portrait mode, i.e with rotation value as 0, signature is correctly displayed.
Can anybody help me by explaining which callback/method to use to frame the text appearance? I think there needs to be some change in the parameters passed to DigSigAPCreateLayeredStreamEx, am i correct?
Let me know any comments/suggestions on this issue of correctly rendering text in a digital signature for a rotated page.

Digital Signatures for Changing the statuses in Issue Mgmt

Has anyone put in place digital signatures for Issue
Managemnt when we change the status values in an issue.
We are looking at SAP Note 835584 - Digital signature for documents,
but that is not applicable for us as we want to initiate the digital
signature when the status profile "SLFI0001" kicks in and the status is
changed from one to the other.(eg in process to completed etc)
We have created the digital signature and the strategies, but are
looking for a place to attach this with the status profile "SLFI0001".
Is there a place we can attach the digital signature strategies to this
status profile?
Anyone has any ideas on how it can be done?

We have a document that needs to be signed by more than one individual -- and in our process we are using the Topacz signature pad to get the signature. It's similar to the one you sign at the grocery store, drug store, etc. In order to NOT have the first signature invalidated, we were told to edit the registry...and it works perfectly!

Implementing digital signatures for Form 16

I have configured ADS for my development ECC. I need to configure digital signatures for Form 16. Please can anybody guide me how to go about this. I am unable to find a proper document.

I am following the below mentioned steps for Digital Signature implementation in form 16 HR,but i am stuck in step 3,can anyone guide me through.
Transaction code: STRUST
1. Select the newly created ‘SSL Client SOAPClient’
2. Select Edit -> Create Certificate Request
3. Copy the Request and sign it (SAPNetCA)
a) Select Edit -> Import Certificate Response and save
b) Double click and select ‘SSL Client SOAPClient’ option to load the certificate
c) Add ‘SSO_CA’ and ‘SAPNetCA’ to Certificate List and save
