  • Need a Suggestion For implementing the Digital Signature For the Documents

    Hi,
Currently I am working in a Document Management System. I need a Good Suggestion for how to implement a Digital Signature For the Documents.
    Thanks in Advance

Hmm, if you are not using Oracle Payroll, what are you using for payroll? I am wondering why you could not use your payroll system, whatever it is, to handle this reimbursement program.
Well, you may want to talk to Oracle support about how to handle this in Oracle iExpense. You can certainly handle advances for Expense Reports. You would then apply the advance to the expense report items. The catch is I don't think you can stop expense item entry after the adavance is satisfied. You would have to set up a work flow process of some kind to have the expense reports reviewed and only approve expenses that are applied to the advance, is what I am thinking. Not your ideal solution, but something to think about. It could be the Oracle folks might know of a sneaky way to handle this. What you are trying to do is unusual. Employee advances are common, but the idea of not being able to exceed the advance amount is what unusual about this. Normally you will accept any expenses over the advance amount and reimburse the employee for those extra amounts not advanced.
    Good luck.

  • In Adobe X Pro, how do I create a digital signature in my document so that my receiver is able to sign it electronically.

In Adobe X Pro, how do I create a digital signature in my document so that my receiver is able to sign it electronically.

If the other person will be using Reader, you should first add a digital signature field and then Reader enable the form. In Acrobat 10 you'd select: Tools > Forms > Edit
to get into form editing mode. You'd then select the signature field tool to add a signature field.
Once you have the document finalized, Reader-enable the document by selecting: File > Save As > Reader-Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
being sure to save to a new file so you don't overwrite the original. If you don't Reader-enable, Reader users won't be able to digitally sign.

  • Digital signature on purchase order print output

    Dear Experts,
Currently we are taking PO print and it is then sign by authorized person, naw we want to maintain digital signatures of authorized person on PO print such that when we take Print of PO it would be with signature of authorized person.
Please advice how to map up this in SAP.

  • Verifying digital signatures in PDF documents

I'm working on verifying PDFs digital signatures.
I know that when a PDF is signed, a byterange is defined, the certificates get embedded, and from what i've read, the signed message digest and the timestamp are also stored in the PDF.
I already can extract the certificates and validate them. Now I'm trying to validate the pdf's integrity and my problem is I don't know where the signed message digest is located.
In this sample signed pdf (http://blogs.adobe.com/security/SampleSignedPDFDocument.pdf), I can clearly identify the digest since it is down below the embedded certificates: /DigestMethod/MD5/DigestValue/ (line 1520).
But that PDF sample seems to be from 2009, and I suspect the message digest is stored in a different way now, because I signed a PDF with Adobe Reader and I can't find any message digest field like the previous one. Can someone tell if the digests are now stored in a different way? Where are they located?
Anyway, for now I'm using that sample document, and trying to verify its integrity. I'm getting the document's bytes to be signed acording to the specified byterange, and digesting them with MD5 algorithm, but the digest value I get doesn't match with the one from the message digest field... Am I doing something wrong? Is the digest also signed with the signer's private key?
    I appreciate any help.

You cannot rely on the digest to be in a certain place in PDF. If you want to manually verify the digest in a PDF signature here's what you need to do.
    1. Open PDF in a Text Editor.
    2. Find Signature Dictionary for your signature.
    3. Get the Hex String which is the value of the /Contents entry in the Signature Dictionary.
    4. Convert Hex String to binary string and discard trailing zeros. Remember that in a Hex string each byte is represented with two characters and the last one might be a zero. So, when you discard zeros make sure that what you get left has even number of bytes.
    5. Use one of the commercially available BER Viewers (you can find free BER Viewers on the Web) to convert the binary string to ANSI.1 representation.
    6. Analyze the BER-decoded PKCS#7 signature object (RFC 2315 describes it) and find the digest that you are looking for in it. It is an OCTET STRING.
If you want to programmatically validate a signature, you need to write code that does all that. Signature validation includes much more than checking the digest. You need to build chain, validate each certificate in the chain, check revocation for each certificate in the chain, etc. RFC 5280 is the guide what to do.
    Good luck!

  • Digital signatures and inbound documents

    Hello all,
is it possible to import document previously digitaly signed in another system.
Scenario will be to have another (partner) system in which user create document with digital sign. This document is transfered to SAP R/3 with digital sign, and it should create document which has digital sign on it.
    Is this scenario possible?
Do we need to have user from partner system created in SAP system with proper authorizations or document will be signed on some other way.
    TIA
    Gordan

You can edit a signed PDF document (assuming you are not using the field collection feature).  This will not "Invalidate" the signature, but it will change the status of the signature.
I have attached two screen shots to illustrate...  To generate these, I signed a PDF, changed some data and re-validated the signature.
ValidationStatus.gif shows the status of the actual signature.
DocStatus.gif shows a "roll-up" status (meaning it checks all signatures on a doc and displays an overview) of the signed document.

  • How do I retain digital signatures when merging documents?

We digitallty sign invoices, but when we merge them with the copies of the checks, the digital signatures are removed.  Is there any way to retain those signatures in the merging process?

One really crucial thing to "get" right at the start of working with PDFs and digital signatures is this: what is signed is not a page, but a document. This can be painful when trying to convert a paper workflow based on signing pages. But the signature is giving the authenticity of the whole of the PDF. This is, in fact, a key reason why portfolios were invented.

"Adobe reader could not open _xxxxx.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or corrupted,
we have done the same configuration in dev its working fine and prd its not working, request you to please provide the solution for the same.
as per some check list i have cheked ads_https is working fine, but when executing the report fp_pdf_test_00  with rfc ads_https its asking for user name and password,we have maintained the same user name and password for abap and java for both adsuser and ads_agent still same issue,
    pelase suggest.
please find attached screenshot for your reference.
    Regards,
    Basis

This can be done but you must use the Document Form var to route the signed pdf. You must configure the FormGuide submit button to 'Submit from PDF' in Guide Builder.
Also the button on the form must be configured to submit as 'PDF' (not XDP). This change is done when you open the form in designer.
Note that after you have submitted the signed pdf you will be dealing with a pdf subsequently.
    Attached is a sample FormGuide.

  • Problem with Digital Signature strategy in Document Managment System

    Hello ALL,
I am facing problem with Digital Signature strategy in DMS. If any help its greatly appreciated.
I have senario where Approvers in DMS will review the document and approve the document and put on their digitial signature. if i have multiple approvers maintained in the characterstics it has to check weather it has been approved by all approvers otherwise it has to reset the status to for approval.
My problem is i am able to reset the status back from approved to for approval using the badi document_status01 but when the next approver logs in to the document and change the status to approved he is not able to get the digital signature pop up which it comes only first user approves it.
can any one help me out on whats going wrong in it.
    Thanks
    Srikanth Aduri.

    Hi,
maybe the reason for this is that the status of the digital signature is not changed. Then the system thinks that the digital signature is still completed and therefore the user is not getting the pop-up again. The database table for the digital signature for documents is TC77. I hope this information is usefull for you.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Make printed digital signature disappear if document altered

We have created a document and digitally signed it.  We have then altered the document.  When the document is viewed on the screen the signature shows as invalid.
When the document is printed, however, the signature is the same.
Is there a way of either showing the state of the signature (valid / invalid), or making it disappear on a printed document?
Note, I did notice a similar question here, but the response was to a link that no longer works.
    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for this - it would achieve the results, but implementing would be difficult.
I am trying to imagine the process that a user would have to go through.  Digitally sign a document and then cut and paste a bunch of javascript into the document?  It seems like a step that would be difficult to train people on, and hard to manage.
Is it be possible to make the check box for a valid signatures visible on print as well as screen?  Maybe that is the best result.  We want to allow printing and annotations, but we just want to prevent someone passing off an altered printed copy as true.  Any solution that accomplishes this would be helpful.

  • Digital Signature in Purchase Orders

    Hi
We have a requirement in our project where in we need to digitally sign the PO printed in our system. There can be close to 500 buyers whose signature would need to be maintained. Depending on who raises the PO, that buyer's signature would need to be there in the PO.
Additionally  these PO can later be forwarded to the supplier (outside client network) who would be opening these PO (in PDF format) and they would need to install these signatures as a one time process. Also it seems these signatures may become invalid after some point of time.
Hss anyone faced these issues in their project. Request you to pls provide your valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance
    Jayant

    Hi Jayant,
    I had a similiar requirement,
What I suggest you is you create a report program with input as PO number.
based on PO number you will get the BUYER ID from EKKO or EKPO table which you need to pass it to the smartform
and use GRAPHIC Node and fetch the image for the concerned BUYER ID at run time from SE78.
Before this you need to upload the images of all the buyer Id's in SE78 with BUYER ID names.
