account1 account2 account3                 account1 account2 account3....................
jan jan jan                                                  feb feb feb ...........................................
please advice
thanks

Hi,
You need to switch the position of your Account and time dimension.
If you are using them in Rows then you row 1 should be Account and Row 2 should be Time
if in columns,
then column1 is Accounts and Column 2 is time.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

  • Values not getting displayed for members which doesnt have parents

    Hi
    I created a product dimension with 4 levels .For members which doesnt have parents,data is not getting displayed in JavaClient.
    The values for members which doesnt have parents are getting displayed in the view created for the measures which are dimensioned by Product .I mapped the same view in the CWM2 work space ,but value is not getting displayed for members which doesnt have parents ,but values are getting displayed for members which have parents for measures.
    Is it a bug , we were able to do it in Express ..
    Can anybody help us in doing this.??
    Thnx in Advance......

    Hi,
    This assumes that the members which do not have parents are mapped to the top level in the hierarchy. If they are at a level below the top level then they are not part of the hierarchy and therefore would not be displayed. So this sounds like expected behaviour.
    Hope this helps

  • How to only display specific members from dissimilar hierarchy levels?

    Hi,
    I have a Business Partner that routinely wants to build a report that displays members from dissimilar hierarchy levels. For example, she wants to display member "210_UNASSIGNED EXP/ACC" from level 8 and member "E090_ADVISOR SERVICES" from level 1. When she filters on just those two members, the reports displays as such:
    She then must manually expand the "E020_CORPORATE AND EXECUTIVE" member 7 times to see "210_UNASSIGNED EXP/ACC":
    Is there anyway to make her life easier and have the report display only the "210_UNASSIGNED EXP/ACC" member and the "E090_ADVISOR SERVICES" member, even though they are from different levels?
    Thanks,

    Hello Michael
    Displaying information from mixed hierarchy levels without the context of the parent members is a reporting workflow best suited to WebI and CR. The AOLAP content can be exported as an Analysis View and then this becomes a data source for WebI and CR.
    Our previous product Voyager used to allow member selection from mixed levels without the context of parent members but it caused a lot of confusion and misinterpretation of the data, which is why we deliberately do not have it in AOLAP.
    Worth noting that BI4.1 was a big release for AOLAP with many enhancements. One is "Expand to Level". So instead of having to click 7 times to expand the hierarchy, it now just requires one mouse right-click to do the same thing.

  • SSAS Date Dimension attribute not displaying all members when browsed singly

    I have an SSAS Cube database that holds data from 2009 to 2013 (5 years)
    There is a Date Dimension in the database which holds a "Calender Period" Hierarchy with the attributes CalenderYear >> Quarter >> MonthYear >> Day .
    I am connecting to the cube via Microsot EXCEL
    Whenever i try to browse this hierarchy alone in the spread sheet, the first attribute as per the hierarchy shown above i.e. Calender Year does not display all the members, that is confusing the users to assume that the cube is not processed with the latest
    data, which is not the case. However as soon as i try to browse any measure with this dimension, the data automatically shows for the latest dates of 2013 as per the expectations.
    The perspective that is selected while connecting to the Cube in this case is the one that is by default the one including all the Cube Objects.
    Whenever i try to browse the same cube for the same Dimension Hierarchy but in a separate user perspective i get the latest three Calender Years i.e. 2011,2012 and 2013 but not the complete years 2009 to 2013.
    When i was browsing this earlier by the original base perspective (which has all the cube objects visible) the Calender Years displayed were 2009,2010,2011&2012 but not 2013 which should be there.
    I checked the base view in the DB that is used to create this Dimension, that is fetching the complete data for 2009 to 2013.
    I have also verified that this issue is still there if i try to browse the cube from the SSMS.
    Can anyone help me to get all the years from 2009 to 2013 (the years for which my cube has data) become visible as soon as i drop it alone into the Spreadsheet?
    Thanks
    Suvrat

    Thanks for your response Muthukumaran.
    I did not know about this default measure property of the SSAS cube, it would be nice if you could also tell me how to check which is the default measure for a cube.
    I understand your point that if a particular measure group does not have data for a year then that particular year will be skipped as per the default excel settings, which when disabled allowed all the years to be displayed, but in that case every time the
    users connect to the cube via excel, they will have to configure this property.
    I would like to share the way i resolved this issue:
    I went ahead and simply did a Process Full for the Date dimension. The years started to display by default as per the expectations. Now after observing this change, as per my understanding I believe this issue was due to the CACHE of the cube not being updated
    for the date dimension. As after each incremental load of the DWH we processed the cube & while processing the cube the dimensions were set for a Process Update and the Measure Groups were set for a Process Full. This caused this issue, and we could resolve
    this once the Date Dimension was processed full.

  • Run Time Prompts not displaying correct members on Composite webform

    Hi,
    I have a two row composite form.  The top form users select a version and a year.  The bottom form is static and for read only display of Actuals from prior year.   I have a business rule that needs to run on the top webform only.  It also needs to bring in the users selection for Scenario and Year.  Problem is every time I hit save to run the business rule, it populates the RTP's with Budget and FY14 and not the values I selected in the top webform.  I have 'Use Members from Form' selected on the business rule attached to the composite form.  I tried attaching business rule to source form but it doesn't run then.  It must be attached to the composite?  I think it gets confused and doesn't know which members to use as there are two forms?  Any options here?

    See if this helps:
    When launched from a form, the values of members in the Page/POV take precedence if the Use Members on Form option is selected, regardless of whether the runtime prompt is hidden during design. The business rule is run without displaying the hidden runtime prompt to users, and the runtime prompt values are taken from the Page/POV members.This is not the case when business rules associated with composite forms are launched on save or from the left-hand pane or when business rules are launched from the Tools, then Business Rules menu. In these cases, the Use Members on Form setting is ignored, hidden runtime prompts get design-time values, and the last saved value takes precedence.

    Hi,

    Can you help me please ?
    Thanks.
    Virgile.

    You don't write what release of SV you're on or the tool you're going against, but I'll give you v11 and Essbase and try to remember 9.3.1's approach.
    In 11, if you've made a particular database a Favorite in the Common Provider Services, you should be able to right click on the Essbase database and select "Change Alias Table" or something very much like that.
    If the database is not added as a favorite, retrieve to the sheet, and then go to the Hyperion->Ad-Hoc Retrieve->Change Alias Table selection (doing that from memory, but I think that's it).
    Lastly, if this is 9x, before you connect (maybe after? it's been a while), open Connection Manager, and right click n the connection name. A pop up menu will appear -- select "Change Alias Table".

  • Spaces Not Displaying for Members

    For some of our users the spaces they are members of no longer appears on the spaces page on the home space or in the spaces list. This is also occuring for newly invited (non-spaces users). No changes to our production environment in he last six months except a security certificate update.
    Anyone seen this before?

    Could it be that those spaces are public?

  • Display two members of same dimension hierarchy using mdx on 2 diff columns

    Hi,
    Is it possible to print the parent of a member that belongs to a certain level in the hierarchy. For this example, the Dimension hierarchy is a Variable hierarchy based on a Row Source, - BOM - Bill of Materials.
    Let say there is a BOM hierarchy with 4 levels.
    Finished Good - Comp1 - Comp2 - Comp3.
    Then we want to display in the IOP report as follows.
    Finished Good Supply Chain--These are the column headers
    Finished Good1 Finished Good1
    Comp1
    Comp2
    Finished Good2 Finished Good2
    Comp3
    Comp4
    Comp3

    The question is wrong ...
    MDX helps you to construct cross-product of indices for the underlying cube and then it tells the system to find whether there is any cell with that index, and if so, returns a value for that combination.
    If you put two dimensions next to each other, what does it mean? There is no such combination in the underlying cube as each dimension is uniquely represented. We will throw an error as follows:
    You cannot mix-up display semantics with the syntax/semantics of MDX.

  • Unknown members not displayed during lock and send

    Hi We are on 11.1.2
    A user is using lock & Send to update approx 3000 rows of data. The issue is, some members do not exist in outline any more.
    so Display unknown members is Ticked ON in Global properties to make it easy to find the unknown members, but its not displaying any unknown members.
    Thanks

    How about the "Display Messages"? Is it set to None? It'll not show unknown members if display messages is set to none.

  • Financilal reports - Members display based on other Dimension members

    Hi All,
    Can we display the members in a dim based on selection of members in other dim.........these 2 dim's are not in row/Col.......
    we hav scenario = actual,budget
    If user selects Actual we need to display all members in time dim;
    and if user selects budget we need to display limited members only;
    How can we achieve it.
    Thanks in advance
    Anuradha

    hi anuradha,
    Conditional suppression works for restricting the members to be displayed in grid-row/grid-column/grid-page
    One user POV selection can never be restricted based on selection on other userPOV.
    In user POV, you will always see all the members from Scenario and time dimension, you have access to...
    May be if you put your Scenario dimension to user POV and Time dimension to page then by using the conditional suppression you will be able to achieve the same.
    Hope this helps.

  • Why can't I display members of a contact group on my iPhone with IOS 6

    Just discovered that I cannot display members of a group on my iPhone 4s running IOS 6.
    When I tap on a group, I just get a check mark or erase the check mark by the group.  The group will not expand to display the members of that group.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    JUST FOUND THE ANSWER!
    You have to de-select the All Contacts group (get rid of the check mark), select the group you want to display (check mark shows), then tap done and the group selected will display.
    Not the most intuitive procedure, but it works?

    This works. Simple but like you say not intuitive. Where is the manual on this.

  • 3.1EA2 bug still not fixed - Members of package body not listed in the tree

    Hi, I was working today with SQL Developer again and found that this bug is still not fixed even when it was reported more than 1 year ago!!!
    I did a quick search and found it here
    Package Body Tree not always showing
    The problem is when you expand the package specification or package body tree, not all members of the specification/body are listed. This is mostly observable in the package body, but it regards to the specification as well.
    Consider this case:
    CREATE TABLE EMP (
        ID               NUMBER(6,0) DEFAULT 0,
        NAME             VARCHAR2(20 BYTE) DEFAULT NULL,
        DEPT             VARCHAR2(20 BYTE) DEFAULT NULL,
        FUNCTION         VARCHAR2(20 BYTE),
        PROCEDURE        VARCHAR2(20 BYTE));
    CREATE TABLE LOOP (
      AREA    VARCHAR2(5),
      VALUE   VARCHAR2(2));
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE Test_Package1 AS
    gvc_const CONSTANT VARCHAR2(10) := 'xxx';
    PROCEDURE Test(p_RC OUT NUMBER,
                   p_ID IN NUMBER);
    END Test_Package1;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY Test_Package1 AS
    PROCEDURE Test(p_RC OUT NUMBER,
                   p_ID IN NUMBER)
    IS
    BEGIN
      --INSERT INTO EMP (ID, NAME, DEPT, PROCEDURE) VALUES (1, 'Tina', 'xxx', 'xxx');
      --INSERT INTO EMP (ID, NAME, DEPT, FUNCTION) VALUES (2, 'Jeff', 'xxx', 'xxx');
      --INSERT INTO LOOP(AREA, VALUE) VALUES('a','b');
      NULL;
    END;
    END Test_Package1;Compile the package specification and the body. Expand the spec + body in the tree. Uncomment any of the commented lines in the package body and compile the body again. Now expand the package body again and look what is displayed.
    Why? It is because SQL Developer handles words "Function", "Procedure" and "Loop" as keywords and according to them does the parsing.
    Another case
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE Test_Package1 AS
    gvc_const CONSTANT VARCHAR2(10) := 'xxx';
    TYPE Loop_rec IS RECORD(
      item1   LOOP.AREA%TYPE);
    PROCEDURE Test(p_RC OUT NUMBER,
                   p_ID IN NUMBER);
    END Test_Package1;Compile just this specification and try to expand it in the tree. Again, during parsing the package, SQL Developer takes the word "LOOP" into consideration and fails to parse the specification.
    There is exactly the same problem when you declare functions from external dll libraries in package body. Since there is no "END;" in this case, SQL Developer's parser fails...
    To me it seems you simply blindly took some keywords like "FUNCTION" and expect there will be some "END;" keyword corresponding with it.
    Can anyone have a look at this and finally fix it?

    Hi,
    Thanks for trying out SQL Developer 3.1 EA2 and providing a clear, reproducible test case for this issue. I logged an internal bug for it:
    Bug 13438696 - 3.1EA2: FORUM: CERTAIN KEYWORDS IN PKG BODY BLOCK MEMBERS FROM CONN VIEW TREE
    It seems the bug noted in the other forum thread you reference has been fixed, but really had nothing to do with problems discussed either here or there. That fix involved adding an Edit Body... item to the Package context menu in the Schema Browser, not displaying Package members correctly in the Connection view tree.
