Displaying Subtotals in XL-Report

hi guys,
1. how to display the subtotals for userdefined fields for each column.
2.And i wanted to merge each User defined columns for displaying Sub-total for each every column,
this is an urgent requirement can give more suggestions about this issue.

Sub-totaling a UDF in XLR is just like sub-totalaling any other B1 field. In Report Designer you use the =SUM(ixRef(I9,2)) where I9 is the ceel you want to sub-total. The short cut for this function can be found on the XL Reporter toolbar under Formula Builder>Functions>Total>Column Total. I am assuming that you have already added your UDFs to XLR under the Tools>User-Defined Field Menu.

I am displayed the subtotals for QUantity field BDMNG in Reuse_alv_grid_display in the same column.
but I want to display subtotal in separate column.

As far as i know you can't do this,the option you have is to create one more column (subtotal) and populate it by manual calculation at every subtotal (not alv subtotal but yours) .

Adding new rows after displaying subtotals in an ALV report by using OOABAP

Dear All,
I am creating an ALV report, displaying subtotals and total by using Classes. I have used classes CL_SALV_AGGREGATIONS (Method : add_aggregation) and CL_SALV_AGGREGATIONS (Method : add_sort) for sorting and doing subtotals.
Output of my report as follows :- (I have used * for displaying spaces between fields)

-> If the value of "Quantity" is greater than 1 then the value of subtotal for the field "Value" is to be divided by the Quantity for that line item and needs to be displayed Quantity, SerialNo, Value details information after subtotal .
-> Basically I need to add few more rows for displaying above additional information in the ALV grid after displaying subtotal .
Q: Do we have any methods for change the layout for the above requirement.

Hi,
For such type of requirement you need to use ALV hierchical table.
You can have your main table in master table.
For quantity greater than 1 you need to move the data into a seperate internal table....this internal table will have material as the key between the main table and the second table.

How to set the number of rows displayed in a classical report at runtime?

Hi,
Our customer has several standard client hardware configuration and would like to enable end users to choose their 'display profile' at login time. This 'display profile' would contain predefined values for these hardware configurations and supposed to set various paramters that should define the number of rows displayed in a classical report region.
I tried to provide parameters on the report region but it refused to accept anything but numerical values. Is it possible to do this?

The link is to the closest linkable point in the documentation to the description of the Number of Rows (Item) attribute.
It sounds like you have been trying to enter—unsuccessfully—an item name or substitution string into the Number of Rows attribute. The Number of Rows (Item) attribute is the one that actually allows you to do this. Click on the flashlight icon beside it to get a list of items from the application.

Subtotals in ALV Report

I am developing a report using ALV FM, i have field catalog(vbeln posnr matnr netpr). i know how to set subtotals using layout settings once after program execution.but i want subtotals to set before execution( i mean that, in coding itself). does any one worked on this before..?if so. plz send some sample code..

As u said that i worked on subtotals in my report but that doesn't give any result to me.As we know that before going to work on subtots we must sum at least one column,then only we can do subtots, similarly i did using do_sum attribute in fieldcatalog table on netprice column.
then i passed
   s_sort_info-fieldname = 'VBELN'.
   s_sort_info-subtot = 'X'.
   append s_sort_info to t_sort_info.
then i passed t_sort_info to
    IT_SORT                           = t_sort_info in
REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY fm.
but that doesn't give any result...

Display Comments in Webi Report

Hi All,
We have a requirement, to display comments (2 or 3 paragraph in each page of report).The text needs to preserve the format (bold, bullets and colored text) i.e the format from the source data should be retained when displayed in the webi report.
Say for example the source is the excel and the text is coloured red or green , some part of the text is bold, all these formats should be preserved in the webi report also.
Can you please suggest, how to implemet this in webi report?

you can take the formatted text in a word document, take a screen shot, put it in mspaint and select the required part. now place this picture in the blank cell's background image. this will preserve the formats of all kinds.
but u cant change the text dynamically.
usually we do this to give users an introduction page(tab1 in report followed by report tabs.) describing the application.

Display issue in Bex Report

Hi all,
I have a requirment in my report where in i would not like to display the -ve values as negative in the columns. I do not have the option to use NODIM() at the query level, because i am simultaneously switching between the column displaying actual values as well as being input ready. How can we eliminate the -ve sign from the values being displayed, so that the report display just the absolute numbers.

Conditional display in a SQL-Report/Report Region

here I have an example for "Conditional display in a SQL-Report/Report Region". I figured it out in Firefox 3.6.2 using Firebug as development tool on Apex 3.2.1.00.12.
First you have to put the following javascript code in the Page HTML-Header:

Maybe you have to modify the "vd_getBody" function. I'm searching the table cell with having the class "t10data". When you use another theme, there's maybe another class used.
Second is, that you set an static id for your report region. I prefer this structure:
R<app-id><page-id><seq> (Raaaaappppsss) e.g. R094260001010.
First example is to turn off the onMouse-Effect. Maybe on the first or last column definition you put this code in the "HTML-Expression" area:
<script>ex_conditional_tr('R094260001010', #ROWNUM#);</script>#ID#This will call the example function ex_conditional_tr with the parameter
a) the region id
b) the rownum (as oracle always starts with 1 this is the first data row [rownum=0 is the table header row])
Second example is the conditional formatting of a table cell. Put this in the HML-Expression area:
<script>ex_conditional_td('R094260001010', #ROWNUM#, #COLNUM#-1);</script>#ENAME#This will call the example function ex_conditional_tr with the parameter
a) the region id
b) the rownum
c) the cellnum (here we have to subtract 1 to get the "real" cell index)
The "ex_conditional" functions are just a representation of how to get the row or cell node.

No its not possible to display list of reports in dashboard prompts.
Can do this using SQl results in prompt(we write query checking out report names manualy),but its not easy thing if you are having many report names to be displayed.

ME2L : still to be delivered is not displayed correctly in ALV report

The still to be delivered and still to be invoiced quantity is not being displayed correctly in ME2L report. In BEST format the report displayes the correct values. In the ALV form the quantity is same as the ordered quantity.

If the selection is the same for BEST layout and ALV layout then the results should equal.
if a field in ALV display has a different value than in the old list display, then it pretty much looks like a bug, and bugs can only be erased by program changes from SAP via OSS notes.
Check SAPNet for notes, open a message yourself to SAP if you dont find any.

Crystal Reports will only support the return of a single refcursor from Oracle. Even the latest and greatest version 10 doesn't allow you to return more than one recordset at a time. You could add one more step to your procedure that would join up the output of the multiple refcursors into a PL/SQL table and then fetch the result set out through a single refcursor. Presentation Variable - Display 'All Values' in Report Title

If I create a Dashboard Prompt and then set it equal to a Presentation Variable, I then display this Presentation variable in the report title. For the Dashboard Prompt I allow them the 'All Values' choice, in fact, this is the default.
The issue is displaying this in the Report Title, when it is 'All Value' nothing is display in the title, when they select a value such as 'Region D' then it works and this value will dispaly.
I looked at the documentation and it says you can use a default value, however, setting up that still does not work. It still is blank.
Has anyone seen this issue or know of a workaround? I'd like to have something like 'All Vales' display or is there a condition I could write to set this.

I have did the following in order to achieve your requirement:
As usual, create a request with a column prompted and a dashboard prompt containing that column and set the Presentation Variable (ex: varDept)... bla bla..
Placed them on the Dashboard to generate your issue, discussed...
Now, what I have did is:
1. Created one more Request with the column used on Prompt and specified the Formula to it as:
CASE WHEN '@{Dept}'||'A'='A' THEN 'All Departments' ELSE '@{Dept}' END
Note: Take 2 same columns (and hide one) because we are using above formula which does not contains the Column from any table.
2. Created Narrative View and referenced the above Column.. @2 (in my case).. and specify 1 in 'Rows to Display' field. Do the formatting as required viz., specifying Font size, family....
3. Place this request in between the Prompt and First Request..
Now, you can able to see 'All Departments' if 'All Choices' is selected.

How to display the drill through report in a new browser seperate window

I am working on a drill through report which should run when I select the column value from the main report. The drill through report I am working on is Centerline Validate Angles for a specific line. It has 2 parameters, Pods ID and Angle. Main report supplies
these 2 values. Right now, I am having an issue in displaying the drill through report in a seperate window. I have selected Go To URL option from the text box properties in main report and gave the expression as
